Back in the raining and cold Pridelands, everyone was gathered around for Bunga's funeral while birds dropped flowers from overhead as everyone bowed their heads in silent reverence for the fallen honey badger as Timon and Pumbaa cried their eyes out for their adopted son as some outlanders came to pay their respects while putting their animosity for the Lion Guard aside for this sad time, Janja included as he sat beside Kion and patted him on the back.
" I'm truly sorry, Kion. " He told him. " He was a good friend. "
" Thank you Janja...that mean a lot coming from you. " Kion thanked as he stared at the body stoically. " Who could of done this to him...and why? "
" Well, if it helps and you didn't hear this from me, but Rei Rei is out for your blood, and not just you either, Kion. " Janja revealed as he gestured to Ono, Besthe and Fuli. " You must have done something to set her off "
" I could have.." Kion said with a devious smirk before going back to grieving. " It helps, but that's not what Bunga would want us to do...use his name for some pointless revenge. He would have want us to move on with our lives. "
" I know he wouldn't...but I'm just warning you ahead of time so that you guys stay safe for now. "Janja told him. " Don't worry, we'll try not to cause any trouble in the meantime. "
" Is that a promise? " Kion asked with a knowing smirk as he wiped his tears.
" No..not really. But hey, even enemies show respect. " Janja said as he took his leave. " See you around. "
Kion rolled his eyes humorously as he rested with Fuli and Jasiri which wasn't for long when Ogopa the aardwolf showed up carrying a wreath in her mouth and sat down in front of him and stared at him awkwardly with a growing blush on her cheeks.
" I'm so very sorry for your loss, Kion." She paid her condolences. " I made this myself to place it in the hole, I thought Bunga would like it." she then gently placed it on Bunga's body and sat beside Jasiri, who gave her the side eyes. " You holding up okay? "
" Trying to.." Kion answered her. " I'm missing him already..."
Laying her head on the lion's back, Ogopa purred softly as she took in his scent and her leave as Kion watched Bunga's grave being filled in as anger fumed deeply inside him as he clawed the ground before signalling his remaining friends as they all followed him to the Outlands.
" So, where is she? " Kion demanded as he pinned Goi Goi to the ground, tears rolling down his cheeks. " She killed my friend Bunga and she needs to answer for her crimes, Goi Goi. Now talk! "
" I don't know where she is Kion, I swear! " Goi Goi said timidly. " All Rei Rei said was that she was going on a trip for some old rumors, something about hyenas..." he quickly covered his mouth to shut himself up. " I said nothing..."
" That wasn't nothing, Go Goi. keep talking. " Kion growled as he slapped Goi Goi. " Where is she headed? "
" Elephant Graveyard. " Jasiri said as she strolled in the Jackal Den. " She must've heard of Shenzi's clan being out there somewhere on the account of eavesdropping on my mother's stories. " the remaining Lion Guard looked at her like she was insane. " What? we hyenas hate jackals, they're constantly invading our territory and we catch them eavesdropping on us all the time. Plus I picked up her scent on the way here. "
" I thought my dad drove them off after they ate Scar. " Kion figured. " Why are they back in the Pridelands? "
" Clan Reunion. " Jasiri simply answered.
" Well, that narrows things down for us. " Fuli commented. " Sorry for roughing you up, Goi Goi. "
" Yeah...I went overboard there...I'm still grieving you know? " Kion apologized as he got off of the scared jackal and kindly dusted him off. " No hard feelings? "
Goi Goi simply glared at him, Fuli, Beshte, and Ono and looked at his injured pack as they limped back into the den and snarled at the Lion Guard for their intrusion and assault. " My wife hates your guts enough as it is, and she would be even more pissed if she found out that you assaulted us when you could have just asked. "
" Your pack attacked first. " Kion pointed out.
" After we politely asked you to leave and you refused. " one Jackal said as she licked her injured paw. " You guys are a bunch assholes, you know? "
" Then again, so is Disney..." Jasiri muttered to herself.
" Now's not the time for fourth wall breaking, Jasiri. " Fuli told her. " But Based. "
" Girls, focus! " Kion shushed them both. " The point is we're sorry! "
" I'm sorry my Sugar Paws killed your friend...he was a good boy and didn't deserve it. " Goi Goi sighed in remorse and guilt. " Just please leave. "
The Lion Guard took their leave.
After the meeting, Rei Rei was eating with Shenzi and her clan when she sniffed the air and caught a whiff of her husband's scent, Going outside, she suddenly beamed over seeing the Lion Guard to her.
" Reirei! you're coming with us back to the Pridelands, you killed Bunga in cold blood and you have to stand trial for your crime! " Kion demanded. " Your vendetta with us ends now! " And what are you going to do, fight all of us? "
" That's where you're wrong you dumbass bully. " Reirei chuckled as she kicked the elephant skull and out came an entire clan of hyenas charging into battle as Reirei and Goigoi lunged at the Lion Guard, all the years of having to put up with them came bubbling up and coming to the surface as claws and teeth were exchanged between jackals, hyenas, a lion, cheetah, a hippo, and a Rei glared at Kion as they circled each other, the fur raising off their backs as their tails lowered and ears folded while their respective allies fought each other in the background as tensions rose like a wildfire. " So, you came here to avenge your best friend eh? Don't bother, you're going to be joining him soon anyways. " The jackal taunted. " Face it, you're a hypocrite and just like me, a predator just looking for its next meal. Bunga was just a pest that needed to be dealt, kind of like how you deal with me and my family on our hunts and quite frankly, it's reached its breaking point with me...you're a little dictator just like Simba and it's time that ends now! "
" Fuck you, Rei Rei! " Kion snarled.
" Oh please, I'm a married woman and Goi Goi did a fine job of that a long time ago. " Rei Rei mocked. " You're not my type anyways, I don't do pompous princes. "
Rei Rei snarled. " As for you, Kion we're going to dance! " she then leaped and took a swipe at Kion with her claws, to which he dodge out of the way and took a swipe of his own, almost hitting her in the face as she ducked out of the way and shoved herself against him and went for his tail, clamping down on it as he yowled in pain and tried swatting at her to make her release his tail out of her mouth, The rest of the battle was horrific with multiple causalities...mainly from the hyena side since the Lion Guard has plot armor carried over from the tv show and were quite formidable as Rei Rei was feeling tired already as she was huffing and puffing as she and Kion stared each other down as the sky then started to rain down from the heavens, soaking everyone and everything with water setting the dour scene
" Enough! " She shouted as she destroyed the boombox. " Let's get this over with! " turning off the plot armor, Rei Rei went back to attacking Kion as he screamed in pain as he was being torn apart while he fought back as hard as he could as Rei Rei started slashing and biting at Fuli and avoiding being rammed into by Beste and attempted to start strangling Ono after he pecked her on the head before Jasiri punched her in the face, sending her stumbling down a rocky hillside as Kion followed her soon after, the lion eager to end this battle once and for all, slipping and sliding down the muddy terrain.
After making it down, Kion found Rei Rei dangling from a cliff and she appeared to be greatly injured from her fall as she struggled to get her footing on the mud, due to her busted legs after hitting several rocks on the way down.
" Guys, come over here. let's take this jackal to my dad, he'll decide her fate. " Kion ordered his crew as they descended down the cliff. " This vendetta is over Rei Rei. "
Rei Rei simply growled in anger in response " Your entire tyrannical kingdom can go fuck itself.." she muttered under her breath as she collapsed on the ground, too exhausted to fight on as the Lion Guard carried their bounded blacked backed jackal suspect as they and headed back into the darkened cloudy sunsets Outlands to the dreary rainy skies of the Pridelands to imprison Rei Rei in the kingdoms dungeon to await her trial in the morning as they went their separate ways to their homes to get some much needed rest.
The slowly insane Jackal Milf plotted her next course of actions. " Just a minor setback to my grander scheme, that's all this is. " She smiled manically to herself as she savored the dried blood on her lips from biting Kion earlier, drinking it in down her throat as she tingled with delight. " I do hope that the hyenas recover quickly enough and uphold their end of the bargain...or their cubs will be my feast. Mmmm, Kion...Kion...Oh how your blood tastes so sweet on my lips, I'll dine on your corpse soon enough, but first you friends will have to go before you do, perhaps a more stealthy approach will do for them, make some of the headache go away for the hyenas...then again, Simba and his pride of lionesses would be an issue as well." She pondered to herself as she then listened to Kion and his father, Simba about her specifically.
" She has to pay for her crimes immediately Dad! " She heard the brat growl in a harsh tone. " Bunga would have agreed with me on this! "
" And Bunga would have wanted to you not use his name as incentive for a unfair trial Kion, See that you don't do that ever again. " Simba reprimanded him. " I miss him dearly too, but you have to give Rei Rei a chance to plead her case and not judge her purely out of emotion son...*sigh* Just...sleep on it for now, it's late my boy and you clearly need to rest. Don't worry, I'll have guards keeping watch over Rei Rei until her trail. "
" I'm sorry...Dad. It's just been so hard without him here. " Kion sniffled.
" You will see him again someday. " Simba told him. " Remember that. "
" Maybe if I don't get sent to the bad place first. " Kion scoffed. " Good night Dad. "
" Good night, Kion. " Simba bided his son good night as he left to instruct his guards to watch over Rei Rei, who already had dug her way out of her boney cell and bolted into the heavy storm outside in the cover of darkness.
" You will see him again someday? I'll make sure of that quicker than expected, don't you worry Kion. " She chuckled to herself as she ran home. " I can just taste your fear as the light leaves your eyes as you die by my claws...I'm going to bath in your blood and cleanse my fur with it."
Finally into the Outlands and at the entrance of her den, Rei Rei called for Goi Goi but received no answer from him, but she then saw Shenzi arrive out of the den instead, the jackal standing her guard up with her low snarling and raised tail. " What are you doing here?...Did you harm my family? "
" Uh no I didn't Girl, relax. me and my clan followed him home and decided to wait for you here since you were captured by the Lion Guard. " The Matriarch explained herself. " I see that the jail didn't take did it? "
" No it didn't...I decided on some strategies if you wish to hear them tomorrow? " Rei Rei yawned. " You can stay here with my pack, I'm sure they won't mind the company. " the pack in response stared suspiciously at the hyenas, which their leader noticed and sought to ease tentions." It's fine guys, they're cool with us. "
" If you say so, Rei Rei. the crazy one looks ready to eat me in my sleep! " one jackal pointed out in fear as she pointed to Ed, who cocked his head inquisitively.
" Only if you piss him off anyways. " Shenzi chuckled threatingly. " But don't you worry, I got him on a tight leash. "
" So it's settled, now if you all excuse me, I'm going to bed. " Rei Rei yawned as she went into her room to sleep with Goi Goi and her pups. " Hey honey, I'm home. " She gently greeted her husband, who quickly nuzzled her in relief.
" I thought you were imprisoned, Sugar Paws. " Goi Goi said as he hugged his dirty wife and wiped the dried blood off his face. " I watched over the pups. "
" By doing so in your dreams. " Rei Rei chuckled playfully. " I know how you are, my dear Goi Goi. "
" Hey, I fought the urge to sleep to watch over them while you were gone. " Goi Goi took offense.
" Sure you have Honey, but for now I'm tired and wish to sleep soundly for once. " Rei Rei and Goi Goi kissed passionately before joining the pack and clans for a good night's rest, filled with the sounds of the death screams of the Lion Guard filling her peaceful dreams.
