Star City:
A few days had passed and in the Arrow Lair, Oliver and John were discussing Darhk's plans when Felicity walked over, she looked angry as she stood by them and folded her arms.
"I got fired so I couldn't get the processor." Felicity explained and the pair looked down. "We could call a bomb threat to evacuate the building so we could get it." Felicity suggested but Oliver shook his head.
"We don't have to," Oliver started as he looked up with a smirk. "We know someone who get in and out without being seen." Oliver told them as he took out his phone and made a call. "Hey Barry, where are you?" Oliver asked as he looked at John and Felicity.
"I'm at STAR Labs; Cisco is currently upgrading some gear for Laurel." Barry explained and Oliver nodded. "Is there something wrong? What happened?" Barry asked as Oliver put the call on speaker.
"Barry, it's me." Felicity started as she adjusted her glasses. "We're trying to stop Darhk from launching some dangerous missiles but we need a powerful computer processor, which is in Palmer Tech," Felicity started as she rubbed her hands together. "Bad news is that I got fired so I can't get it. We were wondering if you could help us get it." Felicity asked as they waited for a response.
"Sure I can. I'll get suited up and run over, just expect Laurel to arrive soon." Barry told them then the call ended. Felicity ran over to the computers and was about to send an image of the Quantum Subluminal Processor when Laurel appeared behind them.
"That was fast." Felicity smiled and Laurel nodded. "Right, I'm about to send Barry an image of the processor." Felicity spoke as they waited when a visual of Barry's HUD came up. "Or we can do it this way. Okay Barry, if you keep your HUD activated, we can see everything and make it easier to find the processor." Felicity explained as they watched Barry look down the top of Palmer Tech, he was on the roof.
"Okay, I'm going in my way." Barry told them then they watched as everything went blurry for a few seconds. They were amazed when they saw that Barry was in Curtis Holt's lab.
"Now we have a feeling what it's like for him to phase." John suggested and Oliver nodded. They watched as Barry ran over to a touch-pad by a metallic panel.
"I'm sending the code to unlock it." Felicity explained as she sent the code, they watched as Barry tried multiple times but it failed. "They locked me out after a few minutes!" Felicity shouted as she covered her mouth.
"Don't sweat it, Felicity. There's more than one way to get through this." Barry comforted her then they watched as Barry's hand started to spark, he held it over the pad and shocked it; causing the panel to open. "Which one is it, Felicity?" Barry asked as he looked at the pieces of tech.
"It's on the second row, on your right." Felicity answered as they watched Barry phase his hand through the cover and grabbed the processor, he slowly took his hand out and looked at it.
"Great job, Barr!" Laurel shouted and the team nodded. "Run Flash!" Laurel shouted then the visual ended as Felicity turned around to look at the others. They looked behind to see Barry arrive with the processor, he walked over and handed it to Felicity to check.
"Thanks for help, Barry." Oliver thanked and Barry nodded as they shook hands. "How's the processor, Felicity?" Oliver asked as Felicity scanned it.
"Not damaged, not even a little bit." Felicity answered as she spun around in her chair. "Thanks for the help, Barry." Felicity thanked and Barry smiled.
"On the way here, Laurel and I decided to stay and help." Barry explained which surprised the team. "We've left twice and you almost died because of Darhk and Merlyn, we won't lose any more of our family." Barry told them and Laurel nodded.
"Besides, if we left, how would you get some new toys from Cisco?" Laurel asked as she picked up a duffle bag. "I left it by the lift when Barry dropped me off." Laurel explained as she opened it. "Stun and non-lethal explosive bullets for John, they work with Spartan's gun." Laurel explained as she handed two boxes to John, he opened them and was impressed. "As well from Cisco: some new arrow attachments." Laurel handed a larger box to Oliver, he opened it and took out one of them.
"Cisco included a note inside instructing which ones do what." Barry explained and Oliver nodded. "There's some sonic arrowheads; based on the Canary Cry. And a few new explosive arrows; they'll deploy small ball bearings then explode, and they're non-lethal." Barry added and Oliver smiled.
"Thanks, Barry. And thank Cisco for us." Oliver thanked and John nodded. "Now we have the processor, let's see if your Dad can help stop the missiles." Oliver spoke and Felicity nodded, surprising Laurel and Barry.
"You got the Calculator to help?" Laurel asked and Felicity nodded with a faint smile.
"He's helping as he doesn't want anything to happen to me." Felicity explained and the couple nodded. "Now we're going to need to upload the codes to every nuke silo individually, which means we need to do it from a server farm." Felicity added and the team nodded.
Star City Data Center:
Flash was running around and checking every area until he ran inside, he activated his HUD to check for heat signatures but couldn't find any. He tapped the right side of his cowl, sending a signal to the others.
"First things first, we need to take the sub node offline." Noah Kutter spoke as he and Felicity ran in and towards the computers. Green Arrow and Spartan ran in as Flash looked around.
"Spartan, Canary, go with her." Green Arrow ordered and the pair nodded, they then took Felicity to deactivate the sud node; leaving the Green Arrow and The Flash to watch over Noah.
"Nice to meet you both," Noah smiled as The Flash folded his arms. "Felicity certainly has some… impressive friends." Noah complimented as the Green Arrow activated his bow. "This should take less time than Mr. Darhk to nuke the world." He explained as the Green Arrow and The Flash watched him until an alarm activated.
"Looks like when Felicity disabled the sub node, a new problem arrived: there's a tapeworm inside the Rubicon code." Noah explained as he looked at Flash and Green Arrow. "It's an anti-hack failsafe, thanks to your friends in HIVE." He explained as he started typing on the keyboard. "I just overridden it but the tapeworm has already transmitted our location." He told them and the Green Arrow nodded. "We have ninety seconds until HIVE rains hell on us." Noah told them when the pair stood back-to-back, waiting for a fight to arrive.
"We heard everything through Flash's comms!" The trio looked as Black Canary, Felicity and Spartan ran over. "They'll try to shut us down but we could hold them off!" Felicity explained as she and Noah worked hard.
"You two work, we'll hold them back." Green Arrow told them then the team headed outside to fight and protect. When they got outside, they saw Lyla with some ARGUS men. Lyla nodded at Oliver and John when she saw both Laurel and Barry.
"Flash, thanks for joining us." Lyla thanked and Flash nodded as Lyla stepped forward, she looked behind then turned back. "Thank you for helping us, Barry." Lyla whispered and Barry nodded.
"Oliver and the others are like family, Lyla. I would do whatever I have to protect them, even bend a few of my rules." Barry explained and Lyla nodded. The team then walked to the front to see black vans arrive, they all got ready to fight.
"Remember, we need to buy Felicity and her Father enough time." Green Arrow explained and the group nodded.
"Looks like I get to try out my new gear." Black Canary smiled as she pressed a button on her batons, they saw to spark which surprised Oliver. "Stun batons; knocks them unconscious." She explained and Oliver nodded.
"Let's do this." Flash spoke as he ran in, just as everyone started to shoot. "I've got the ones at the back!" Flash shouted as he ran past the Ghosts in front, he started fighting the ones at the back as Black Canary flipped over a concrete wall and kicked a Ghost into a pillar. Green Arrow jumped over a car and fired his new explosive arrow, it sent two soldiers flying.
"Thanks Cisco." Green Arrow whispered as he ran towards Mister Brick, he slid under his punch and activated his comms. "Flash, up top!" Green Arrow shouted as Flash ran past him, he ran up the side of the building and stopped in front of Michael Amar.
"You must be the silent but deadly type." Flash spoke as he folded his arms. Murmur went to punch him but time slowed down for Barry, his body was covered in lightning as he slowly walked behind him. "Lightning rounds over, pal." Barry told him as he punched Michael hard, time resumed as Murmur flew into a railing.
"Guys, we have a problem!" Felicity shouted over the comms, the team were still fighting until Black Canary and Green Arrow took down Brick. "We got every nuke, except one." She told them which shocked the team. "According to the destination, it's heading for Monument Point." She added as the team regrouped then they ran inside to see Felicity and Noah working.
"We stopped Rubicon," Noah stopped as they were joined by Lyla. "It knows the missiles didn't launch, it keeps trying to send the launch codes. We're trying to override them manually, one by one." The team looked at each other then Lyla sighed.
"We need to start evacuations," Lyla told them as the team looked at her. "Flash, could you help?" She asked and Flash nodded then Black Canary ran over to him, the pair then headed outside.
"Barry, if we don't stop this…" Laurel started then Barry kissed her. "You read my mind." Laurel whispered and Barry smiled.
"Laurel, we will get through this." Barry told her as he placed his hands on her face. "We'll stop the missile, stop Darhk, then we'll see what's next." Barry explained and Laurel nodded. "But if this is the end, I want to say this if I don't get another chance." Barry sighed and Laurel placed her hands on his face.
"I love you." They admitted then they kissed again as lightning sped around them, causing everything else to stop moving while they enjoyed their moment. The kiss ended just as the lightning disappeared, Laurel held Barry's hand then nodded.
"Run, Barry. Run." Laurel whispered and Barry nodded. Laurel watched as Barry's eyes sparked then he raced towards Monument Point as fast as he could, just as Laurel ran back inside.
