Chapter 10
As Brooke stirred, a groan escaped her lips. Axel had vanished some time ago. His whereabouts were unknown, and she cared little. She suspected he'd stepped out to make a call. However, one thing was clear: she needed to free herself from the chains and escape this place.
Sam's words resonated in her mind. "Why didn't I heed his warning?" she muttered, anger directed at herself. She questioned the truth in Sam's words about her brother's demise.
"No ordinary human can fling someone across a room without touching them, can they?" Brooke wondered aloud. Her lips moistened as she dismissed the biting cold. "But this brute certainly knows nothing about treating a woman," she grunted.
Shaking her head, Brooke realized a sense of numbness, a blessing in disguise that spared her from the pain of her wounds. The brunette surveyed her surroundings. "There's a small window... perhaps..."
Brooke gazed at the shattered table, shuddering as rats scurried around it. However, the sharp tools lying upon its surface now posed a greater threat, their unfamiliar appearance sending shivers down her spine.
She swallowed hard and scanned her surroundings, desperate for an escape. Nothing offered hope. Lifting her gaze to the ceiling, she whispered, "Sam, please hurry." A fresh wave of fear washed over her as she noticed blood spattered on the ground—her own blood.
Just then, the door creaked open, and Axel entered with a stranger. Brooke's ears caught their hushed conversation.
"Are you certain they possess an archangel?" Axel questioned.
"Without a doubt. I witnessed it myself," replied the dark-haired man, following Axel into the room.
Brooke listened attentively to their conversation, harboring no surprise at the mention of angels. If demons existed, it stood to reason that angels did too. Similarly, if werewolves were real, vampires must also exist.
As the brothers drew closer, the brunette nervously bit her lip. "If that's the case, we should hurry," Axel advised, halting before Brooke with his twin, Ozul. "I'd like to introduce you to my brother, Ozul," he said, motioning towards Ozul, who regarded Brooke with indifference.
"Before we leave," Ozul interjected, his gaze shifting to his brother, "I believe I may have discovered someone of interest." Axel's lips curved into a knowing smile. "Excellent," he remarked, his eyes alternating between Brooke and Ozul. "So, who is the fortunate individual?" he inquired.
Ozul returned his brother's gaze. "You'll discover when the hunters arrive—it won't be long," he said, his attention settling on Brooke. "However, didn't Father instruct you to treat your prey with a bit more kindness?" he questioned, noting the blood staining Brooke's body.
"If she didn't fight back, I wouldn't need to be cruel," Axel smirked. "The more broken they are, the less they resist." He glanced at Brooke, who glared at them. "I'm not your property!" she snapped. "Let me go, you jerk!"
Axel chuckled at her warnings, while Ozul remained indifferent. "I'm going to prepare for the hunters' arrival. I'll have my victim shortly," he said, exiting the room and leaving Axel and Brooke alone.
Brooke gulped as she watched Ozul leave. She sensed that he wasn't as malicious as Axel, though she couldn't be certain. Turning to face Axel, she found him smirking.
"Soon, kitten, we'll be gone, and I'll have my pleasure. But for now, I think I'll amuse myself with you." Axel approached her, gently moving a strand of her hair behind her ear. Brooke averted her face.
Brooke's disgust was evident as Axel touched her. She shook her head violently, eliciting a dismissive chuckle from him. "Your feistiness only fuels my rougher approach," Axel growled, gripping her chin tightly and tilting her head up to expose her neck.
"You're a beauty, but your attitude threatens your well-being, kitten," he purred, his lips parting in anticipation. He raked his nails roughly against Brooke's throat, sending shivers down her spine.
As he released her head, Brooke whimpered. "Your torture will be exquisite," Axel whispered, "but I must postpone it." His sharp nail dug into her cheek, leaving a thin line of blood in its wake.
"There," he smirked, "a scar to enhance your loveliness." He exited the room, leaving Brooke alone with a reminder of his cruel intentions.
Fear consumed Brooke as she whispered tremblingly, "What fate awaits me now?" Tears mingled with blood trickled down her cheeks, amplifying her terror.
Amidst the chaos, her thoughts turned to Sam. Though the reason eluded her, she yearned for his presence, knowing he possessed the skills of a hunter. With desperate hope, she whispered, "Please hurry, Sam," before shutting her hazel eyes in resignation.
( At Bobby's with Dean, Sam, Desirey & Castile)
Dean's car pulled up to an old-looking house where Desirey believed Bobby lived. She peered out the window to see Castiel waiting for them, standing beside an older man who held a small baby in his arms.
A smile spread across Desirey's face at the sight of the newborn. But worry gnawed at her. If demons lurked nearby, was it safe for the little one to be there?
Dean and Sam disembarked from the car and approached the porch.
"Hey, Bobby," Dean greeted with a smile as he walked up to the man who had helped raise the Winchester siblings. Sam followed suit, while Desirey hesitated outside the car for a moment before joining them.
"Which twin is that?" Sam inquired as he drew closer to get a better view of the sleeping infant in Bobby's arms.
"Honestly, I don't know," Bobby confessed. The twins looked so similar to him. "I think it's Aria," he guessed.
Dean chuckled, "Can't tell the twins apart yet?" he teased, glancing at the baby girl. Bobby scoffed, "Take a good look at both of them and see if you can tell them apart!" With that, he walked inside to prevent the newborn from getting cold.
Sam laughed at Bobby's comment as he followed him in. "Come in, Desirey," Dean said before entering. "You can visit Erin and Aria while we figure out how to find Brooke."
Desirey nodded, her mind still reeling from the news. She assumed there was another Winchester involved since there were babies, but she couldn't resist smiling. She followed Dean inside and closed the door.
"If there are demons nearby, is it safe for the babies to be here?" Desirey asked, concerned for their safety.
Castiel entered the room and approached a playpen to check on the other baby. "As far as I can tell, Aria is the smaller one, and Erin is the larger one," he said.
Sam nodded at the baby in his arms. "I guess this one is Erin, since she's a bit bigger," he said, glancing at the smaller one sleeping soundly in the playpen.
Dean turned to Desirey. "Of course they're safe. We wouldn't let anything happen to them. Besides, their mother doesn't hunt like us," he said with relief.
Soifon's absence from hunting was the only good thing John had ever done, protecting Sam and Dean's younger sister from their dangerous world.
Desirey nodded, acknowledging the babies' safety. "So, what's this trouble you boys need help with?" Bobby asked, taking Erin from Sam and placing her next to her sister.
Dean nodded and walked to Bobby's desk. "We need help identifying a demon. He kidnapped Sam's girlfriend," he explained, ignoring Sam's glare.
"Brooke's just a friend, Dean," Sam stated firmly. Turning to Bobby, he added, "This demon's powerful. I believe it killed her brother."
Bobby nodded. "Describe it," he requested, circling his desk.
"Human disguise, white hair," Sam replied.
"Cas?" Bobby inquired, looking to Castiel, who bore a contemplative gaze. "Unknown, but I suspect his identity," Castiel answered.
"We need to locate Brooke," Dean asserted.
Desirey overheard their conversation, her gaze roaming the house. She approached a window and peered out at the snowfall. Suddenly, she noticed something unusual.
"Dean!" Desirey exclaimed, her voice urgent. An object had crashed through the window, landing near her feet.
