AN: Been Wanting To Write This One For A While Now! Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own Helluva Boss. Spiroz, Milton, and Mitzy are characters that belong to DaniDraws who I have permission to use for this fic. Hedwig and her family are my original characters.

It had been a few days since the incident, and both respective parties thought it would be best to stay separated for a while to avoid more assassins being sent their way. Hedwig wasn't worried so much for herself or her brothers as she was worried for Spiroz. Everyone believed the killers were targeting him, and the reason ranged from his existence to what happened with Fizzarolli. Hedwig had gone a long way to try and not look down upon demons like other angels did to have an open mind both due to the heritage on her mother's side and on the moral basis of being kind and giving others a chance.

But the fact that so much of Hell's population hated and denied the existence of one of the sweetest and kindest people that Hedwig had ever known made her wish she could make them regret their actions. Spiroz had told her so much about his horrible life where his entire home realm denied him the right to be treated like a living being because of how he was born. Such a thing was terrible in Hedwig's eyes, but the incident at the mall really impacted how bad it was. Her life was in the hands of that assassin demon who was willing to kill her just to accomplish his mission to kill Spiroz.

It was scary to think that she wouldn't be lying on her bed, alive and well if things didn't turn out as they did. I could be lying inside my coffin instead.

Sighing, Hedwig slowly got up and rested her knees against her chest. She missed her best friend despite agreeing to keep themselves separate for a while. They texted a few times, but it wasn't the same. Hedwig had gotten so used to seeing him so often, or at least talking to him openly, that the silence was deafening to her. It starkly contrasted how she used to love the quiet so she could continue to do her research without worry. Heh, my life's changed a lot since I met him.

When she first met Spiroz, Hedwig didn't know what to think of him except as a chance to get to know a demon personally for her studies. Then she saw him as a friend who quickly turned to best friend status. Now her heart belonged to him and him alone. They say you always knew your first real love, and Hedwig couldn't deny it anymore.

She loved Spiroz.

Despite his devilish physical qualities, he was kind, gentle, intelligent, and handsome. In fact, those demonic aspects of him made Spiroz even more exotic in her eyes. His piercing gaze with those red-slitted owl eyes. His soft and beautiful feather design. Even his horns were adorable. But the best was his smile. It was rare to see a genuine full-on smile in Spiroz, but when did he show it? It was like hearing the Heavenly Choir itself sing "Hallelujah."

Majestic.

"Ugh! But what do I do?!" Hedwig moaned as she fell back to her pillow before grabbing one of her smaller ones and hugging it. "It's been thousands of years since a demon and angel got together! Not since before the Great Flood! Plus, he's royalty, and I'm a commoner even if my Dad is a general in the army! And he's got his family and mine! Ugh! Why did God give me such a handsome boy to befriend and love?!"

That was also another major issue. How was God, along with the rest of the major Heavenly Host, going to react upon hearing one of their fellow angels was having feelings for a demon, much less a relationship? It was different from loving a redeemed demon because they were now certified angels. This was a person who had never been baptized, received communion, been blessed by the Holy Spirit, or received the Grace of God! Heck, Spriroz probably never went to church once since his family never went out of their way to worship Satan at their temples in Hell.

There was also the fact that she was not really of "demonic quality" despite loving to study them and having demon blood (all be it purified) from her mother's side. She didn't want to learn demonic magic and hated the idea of doing drugs, cigarettes, alcohol, or sex before marriage. She hated the idea of committing sins, even for fun. Granted, Spiroz never asked her to do that, nor did he seem interested in committing grave sins for pleasure or amusement as other demons did. It was more like something Loona would do. But would Hedwig be expected to do some of it? Would Spiroz be asked to do a few "virtuous" things in return?

"Is this even going to work?" Hedwig asked herself as she buried her face into her pillow. "We're literally from two different worlds."

And yet, Spiroz never laughed at her ideas or concepts. He always was there for her when she had a bad day, and Hedwig was there for him in return. And every time she went to sleep, she saw him in his dreams, smiling at her with such kind eyes that held more joy than any set of cherub eyes. Spiroz opened his entire past and soul to Hedwig, showing how much trust there was between them. Both of them risked their lives for the other.

"Ugh, why is love so complicated!" Hedwig growled before getting up and shaking her head. She needed to talk to someone about this. Someone who would either understand or sympathize with her plight. Hedwig would need to change a few things to avoid that person knowing the whole truth, but it was clear that she needed to talk to someone trustworthy. "Maybe Dad?"

It made the most sense. Hedwig's mother was a former demon who got redeemed and became an angel, but it was a stigma she had carried ever since. Hedwig's father didn't care and loved her nonetheless. He faced ridicule from some of his peers for doing so, but he ignored them and was happy with his life. Sighing, Hedwig exited her room and headed toward the living room, hoping to see her father there without anyone else. Unfortunately, the head owl of the family was looking at Hedwig's nervous brothers with a raised eyebrow.

"Let me guess this straight," Their father said, shaking his head while sitting on the couch. "You want to bring Sophia, The Archangel of Love, into our home for dinner because...why?"

"Uh, school project?" Elrohir answered nervously.

"At the military?" Zenikel pointed out with a snort.

"Elrohir has a huge crush on her and wants to ask her out!" Elladan shouted, which made him get a punch in the shoulder from his brother.

"Uh-huh," Zenikel replied with a shake of his head. "Why don't you boys try thinking of a better excuse while I talk to your sister."

Hedwig was surprised to see her father turn his head 180 degrees to spot her, while her brother's eyes widened upon seeing her. How does he do that?

"Hedwig? Do you need something?" Zenikel asked as he motioned for her to sit.

"Um, can we do this in private?" Hedwig asked, rubbing one of her wings for comfort.

"Why? Is something wrong?" Zenikel asked, tilting his turned head.

"I...I have to talk to you about...someone...and...well...," Hedwig gulped, "me."

Hedwig wondered if that was too much information to make her seem suspicious. No doubt her father's "Protective Dad Senses" was going off about the concept of her with a "Boy." Both her brothers seemed surprised by her actions, but they soon nodded in confirmation to show their support. This made her smile. Her brothers may be annoying and teasing, but they loved her. Knowing they were in her corner made her feel much braver than she was before.

"A-Actually," Hedwig coughed into her fist, "Elladan and Elrohir can stay. They know about him and...well...I trust them."

Not to mention they already know my feelings for Spiroz, She thought with an inner sigh.

Zenikel looked at all three of his children one by one in the foreboding silence as his expression was pure neutrality. Then he said something that nearly made Hedwig's halo fall from the top of her head.

"This wouldn't have to be about that demon boy, Spiroz, that you've been secretly seeing for the past few months, is it?"

...HUH?!

Hedwig was sure her beak was ready to come off based on how low it had fallen. Her brothers were of a similar expression, with their wings flared out in shock. Immediately, Hedwig began to wonder how her father knew about Spiroz. She was sure she was careful about hiding who he was from her parents, and her brothers might have been annoying and pulled pranks, but even they wouldn't be snitches unless her life was at stake. They had kept it a secret from their parents about her relationship long before Hedwig knew they knew. Zenikel smiled and chuckled, "I guess I'm right based on your expressions."

"H-H-How?" Hedwig asked after finding her voice again.

Pulling out his cell phone, Hedwig's father answered, "You know we have a family plan, right? And I can easily access my teenage daughter's text messages and call details with a button, right? I figured you were seeing a boy with how you were acting, but I will admit I was not expecting to see you in contact with someone from Hell."

"Oh god...I mean...gosh damn it," Hedwig moaned as her face met her palm.

"Uhhh, should we go or?" Both her brothers asked to which Zenikel nodded.

"Dad, don't be hard on her," Elladan said as he raised his hands.

"Yeah, Spiro is a good kid and-"

Their father raised his hand to silence Elrohir before saying, "Boys? It's okay. I'm not angry. We're just going to talk. Head to your rooms."

The twins nervously looked at each other before nodding and began to walk out of the living room, but not before putting a hand each on Hedwig's shoulders for comfort. She nodded to them in thanks before nervously walking over to the couch, where she sat down next to him. Hedwig couldn't look at her father out of fear of seeing anything negative like anger or disappointment. Instead, she focused on her hands, squirming them in place while praying she wouldn't lose her best friend because of this.

"Hedwig?" She closed her eyes and took a deep breath as her father continued to speak to her. "Sweetie, I'm not upset."

"R-Really?" Hedwig asked as she slowly raised her head to look at her father. He smiled comfortingly while slowly stroking her wings with his own for solace. "B-B-But I'm friends with a demon."

"I think we both know that you are in love with this demon, Hedwig," Zenikel pointed out while shaking his head. "You remind me too much of myself when telling my parents I was in love with your mother. They were uncertain about me dating her considering she was once a demon, a Goetia of all things. They feared she would ruin my career and good name. I told them I knew what I wanted in my heart, and they gave me their blessings after a long talk. I never regretted that day when I soon went to speak to your mother and told her I wanted to go out with her. Nor could I forget the smile on her face when she told me she did too."

"But Mom was at least an angel! Sprioz is a demon and...well..." Hedwig sighed and realized she needed to tell her father about his "secret birth" as well, but Zenikel patted her on the back.

"You can tell me everything. I will not say a word, nor will I make a judgment so quickly until you finish and I ask a few questions," Zenikel stated, but he leaned forward and narrowed his eyes. "But I want the whole truth."

And so Hedwig did so.

She told him how she met Sprioz and the early days of their relationship and how they became close friends to the point where he told her the truth of his birth and origins. How his father, Stolas and Blitzo, had him together despite the unknown means of doing so, which made her father gasp and look in shock upon hearing this. He muttered a few things to himself before letting her continue. Hedwig told about the cruel life he had to lead from those who hated him since birth, except for the family he had and his father's best friend's family. Before she knew it, Hedwig was talking about how Spiroz was in personality and talent. But she talked most about his kindness and how it never broke him despite everything that happened to him.

Hedwig talked about how much she cared about Spiroz and how much their relationship meant to both of them, how Hedwig's brothers and Spiroz's other friends and sisters found out about their friendship and watched them. They kept it a secret because even they could tell the two were happy together. It finally all accumulated to the mall incident. Hedwig didn't leave anything to chance and figured maybe her father could use his military connections to figure out who was behind the assassination attempt. His eyes turned cold as steel, and his hands shook when she got to the part where she was held hostage and hurt.

But she told her father how Sprioz saved her and how Hedwig owed her life to him. And finally...

"...And that's when I realized that I couldn't deny it anymore," Hedwig wiped her eyes, having started crying a while ago. Her father had summoned some tissue for her to use mid-way through the story. "I love him. I really love him, Dad. I don't care if he's a demon or was born between two fathers. I love him so much. God wouldn't have allowed this to happen if it didn't have a purpose, and I think he does. At least...I hope he does..."

With everything finally out and in the air, Hedwig waited for her father to say or do something. He sat there, thinking long and hard. No emotion was expressed on his face or eyes, but he did take a few deep breaths. After what seemed like a full twenty minutes, Zenikel wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tight. "First off. I am glad you and the boys are safe. I promise I will look into this and find the bastards who hired those demons that nearly killed you. I will make them wish they were exterminated by the time I am through with them."

Hedwig nodded.

"As for you and Spiroz," Zenikel sighed and shook his head. "I'm not going to lie, sweetie. This is a very...unusual circumstance we have found ourselves in. I believe you when you say that you love him. I can see it in your eyes and hear it in your heart when you speak about him. But you realize that this will be a very, very difficult relationship if I allow it. Not just because he is a demon but because he is born between two males. Such a thing has never happened before."

"I know, but as I said to Sprioz that night, God wouldn't have allowed it if there wasn't a purpose behind it," Hedwig urged with desperation creaking out of her voice. "Only God can grant life to be made in any form of the sense. Not even Satan has this power. Maybe it wasn't made the traditional way, but he is a living, breathing, and feeling boy who has been through so much, Dad. Too much for anyone to go through."

"Yes, regardless of the circumstances, no child should have gone through what he went through," Zenikel growled. "It's disgusting that the demons of Hell could be so cruel. Even for their level of sinister actions."

"If it helps, Sprioz doesn't have much love for his fellow demons either, save for those in his family and friends circle," Hedwig said with a shrug. "He's not the type who engages in the Deadly Sins as others do. If it wasn't for the fact that he was demonic looking, you could even say he was an angel based on how gentle and sweet he is."

"And you sure you two aren't related because of your mother?" Zenikel asked, eyebrow raised.

"Yeah, we're so far removed from each other on the Goetia family tree we're not even eight cousins removed," Hedwig assured him. That was one of the first things she had checked since she got the Goetia book from Spiroz.

Zenikel rubbed his chin and thought a bit longer before asking, "One last question. Would you ever give up your state of grace for him? And would Sprioz ever give up his damnation for you?"

Hedwig paused and thought about that answer, but it soon came to her, and she smiled. "No, because neither of us would ever do that to the other. Spiroz might not like his fellow demons, but he loves his family. He would never leave them even for the chance to be in Heaven, and I would never make him sacrifice his family for me, just as he would never let me leave my family and my love of God for him because he knows how important it is to me. We care about each other for who we are, and neither of us would want the other to change that much because we both know it would make us unhappy."

A big smile appeared on Zenikel's face, and he kissed his daughter's forehead. "My dear little girl? You have found a keeper."

Hedwig gasped and stood up in shock. A smile nearly split her beak apart as she held her hands together. "T-T-This means..."

"You have my permission," Zenikel said with a nod. "I expect to know everything about you two in the future, and I might need to tell some of my superiors about this, but I believe they will keep it a secret from the rest of the public until you are ready to come forward. We'll need to tell your mother too, but I feel she'll be delighted that she might be getting grandchildren soon."

"What?! Dad! We're fourteen! Ew!" Hedwig gagged before giggling. "But...you are okay with it?"

"Sweetie, I've never seen you happier in all your life whenever you talk about him. It's the same spark of love that those who truly care for each other have whenever they think about each other," Zenikel slowly hugged his daughter with his arms and wings. Nuzzling her, he said, "And you got that spark in your eyes."

Hedwig looked ready to cry on her father's chest until she got a text with a familiar beeping sound. Breaking the hug, she opened it up and blushed upon seeing who it was from. "S-Spiroz wants to meet up. He...He says he has something important to tell me."

"Well, if it is what I think it is, then you better not keep him waiting," Zenikel chuckled before winking at his daughter. "Just make sure to keep it PG-13."

"Ugh! Dad!" Hedwig grumbled but didn't once lose her smile. She kissed him on the cheek and soon made for the door with her heart soaring at the prospect of meeting her crush.

And she planned on telling him something she had wanted to say for a while.

Spiroz never believed there would be a day when he fell in love with someone. He had lost all hopes of finding such a thing when he learned what the Pentagram thought of him and his existence. It wasn't that he didn't experience love. His parents and sisters loved him, as did his best friends and their parents, who were practically family anyway.

But romantic love? Who would want to date a half-imp/half-Goetia hybrid whose father and mother were two males? He had the controversy of his parents that haunted him throughout his entire life, and he had long accepted that this would always be the way. Even if it never did stop hurting.

But then he met Hedwig, and everything changed.

He had a friend who treated him with basic kindness and care and saw him as a fellow living being worthy of being treated with respect like anyone else. Hedwig stayed with him even after learning the truth of his origins. If anything, she continued to stay by his side even stronger, and he soon felt like nobody else was quite like her. Intelligent, kind, brave, and outgoing. Her being a beautiful snow owl with such winter-like eyes and soft feathers was a bonus. Her personality was a welcome change from the shitty ones he had to deal with in Hell. By all rights, they should have been enemies at each other's throats but had become the best of friends.

Hedwig had become the most important person in Spiroz's life because she was proof that there were people out there who cared about him outside his family. But most importantly, she didn't deny his right to exist and made him feel like somebody instead of a nobody.

She was his guardian angel that gave him hope.

And Sprioz finally accepted that he was in love with her.

He had tried to deny it, of course. It was mainly because he didn't want to cause trouble for it, but it seemed he was more like his parents than he thought. He had fallen for someone forbidden to love among his people, even more so, considering she wasn't demonic. But Sprioz didn't care. What had his fellow demons done for him except be cruel to him? He owed no honest loyalty to Hell, only to his family and those close to him. Maybe Queen Charlie, considering she had always protected him multiple times from those demanding his death.

How ironic was it that Hedwig, an angel Sprioz was supposed to hate and fear due to their opposite natures, had been more loving and kind to him than his kind ever were save for family? What did such a thing say overall about demons and angels?

Of course, the issue wasn't just that Spiroz was in love with his best friend but deciding if he should pursue these feelings in the first place. Besides the obvious problems a demon and angel would face if they were dating, especially from those that ruled their respective realms, the main thing that Spiroz had to worry about was his two fathers.

They hated angels.

How would they react knowing their son was in love with an angel?

Spiroz couldn't think of a world where his parents, who had loved and protected him all his life, hated him for his choice in love.

He didn't think he could take it.

"Is something wrong, Starlight?"

Spiroz looked up from his seat in the palace's library to see his owl-father looking at him with concern. "You've been sitting here looking at that book about..." He narrowed his eyes to read the cover, "...The History of Newfoundland for forty minutes."

"S-Sorry," Spiroz whispered as he rubbed his eyes. "I...I have a lot on my mind."

"Anything I can help with?" Stolas asked, putting his hand on his son's shoulder. "You know you can always talk to me, son."

Not about this, Spiroz thought depressingly until a thought came to him.

"Father?" Spiroz asked, gulping. "I...I want to know something...was it...worth it?"

"What was worth it?" Stolas asked with his head tilted.

"Being with Dad. Getting together with him and marrying him," Spiroz sighed as he looked down. "You guys are practically outcasts from most of Hell's society, including your side of the family. It's a miracle that Dad's company does so well as it is, regardless. But was it worth it at all? The pain? Suffering? The hatred? Everyone in every ring turning against you? Was it worth it all to lose to gain Dad as your husband?"

"Yes," Stolas said without any hesitation. Spiroz was surprised that his father said this so fast he nearly whipped his head. "Spiro, I have never, in my entire life, ever regretted being with your Dad. Every day is a blessing in and of itself that I have my Blitzy beside me all the time. I will admit that I wish I had done things differently and avoided a lot of heartbreak during those troubling times when we were starting, but I fought, bled, and killed for the right to have us marry together and live this life we currently have."

Stolas shook his head before gazing over at the Goetia house symbol for their branch of the family line that was painted over the library entrance. "Honestly, I could care less about the Goetia family. All those I cared about have long since died, and they forced me into a life with no choice over what I wanted to do. Everything was decided for me, and I had no say in the matter, leading me to become miserable. Only Octavia was my saving grace in that old part of my life."

Kneeling before Spiroz, he smiled warmly at his son. "Yes, I am not as popular as I used to be, but I never cared about that stuff. All I ever wanted was the freedom to be happy of my choosing. I sacrificed all that past stuff because it never made me happy. Being with Blitz, your sisters, Moxxie, Millie, their children, and you is all I need, and I would never have gotten that joy in life if I hadn't fought for it."

Standing up, Stolas sighed and smiled. "Someday, you will find someone important to you, my little Starlight. And they will be worth everything to have forever in your embrace."

Stolas walked away and left Spiroz to himself. After a few minutes of thinking, he took his phone out and texted Hedwig to meet him in the human world for something important to tell her.

It was fitting that it would be at their usual place. It was in these forests that they had first met and had their closest moments. Sometimes Spiroz thought about building a home here and living in these woods peacefully for the rest of his life. Away from Hell and all the hatred that festered inside of it. The humans in the nearby town were kind and respectful, and some of them he had gotten to know well with Hedwig during their many hangouts. There was also the possibility that, if this all worked well, Hedwig would be there by his side during those peaceful hopeful days of a future he dreamed of.

Spiroz paced around as he tried to figure out how to tell Hedwig his feelings. It was one thing to accept that you would do this finally, but it was another thing entirely to say it. Hedwig had told him she would come over soon, but that only made him worry more because that was less time to plan. Should I just come out and say it? No, to upfront. What about getting on one knee and holding her hand? Gah, no! That would make it look like I am proposing! Hmm, maybe sing a romantic song? Well, that would work, except that I suck at singing! I didn't get my Father's voice at all!

His thoughts were interrupted when he saw a heavenly portal open up, and Hedwig walked out, holding her hands together while nervously smiling. There was some faint red flush on her cheeks, and her wings fluttered occasionally. Spiroz gulped and rubbed the back of his head upon seeing his best friend/crush staring at him silently. The two continued to stand in the quiet until Hedwig nervously raised her hand and waved. "H-Hey."

"Hey," Spiroz repeated quietly.

There was another silence after that before Spiroz asked, "You doing okay? And your brothers?"

"Y-Yeah, we're fine. No damage," Hedwig replied before asking, "And on your side?"

"Perfectly fine as always. Although Octavia was livid when she learned we were targeted and vowed to find out who hired them with Samuel's help," Spiroz answered. "He doesn't know about us, though. Or your brothers. Just that me, my sister, and the twins were attacked by demons targeting us on Earth."

"So nobody knows on your side of reality that we're together. As friends, I mean!" She quickly said though the two still blushed.

"Far as I know, yeah," Spiroz asked before tilting his head. "Why?"

"...My Dad has revealed to me he's known for a long time," Hedwig sighed in annoyance and regret. Spiroz felt his entire body freeze up and wondered if this would be his last day alive. Hedwig's father was a general in the army of Heaven. If he knew, then odds are an entire legion of angels would come down upon him and make him mincemeat. Seeing his paling face, Hedwig quickly grabbed his hands to calm him down and gave him a comforting smile. "No! It's okay! Dad's okay with us! I mean...us...well...together in..."

"R-Really?" Spiroz asked in surprise. "Does he know...everything?"

"Yes."

"Including..."

"He knows about your birth and is fine about it," Hedwig assured him.

Spiroz's mind went blank momentarily as he tried to process this. "Um, okay. That's...I wasn't expecting that. Seriously, that's like four angels that have accepted me. This is... mind-blowing."

"Y-Yeah, I was just as surprised, too," Hedwig said with a chuckle. "My Mom will be learning about this too; chances are she'll support it. So maybe your Dads can-"

"No!" Spiroz shouted almost frighteningly. He grabbed her by the shoulders, making her yelp quietly as he gazed into her eyes. "My parents hate angels! They think the worst of them, and my father lost his parents to them! I can't tell them! At least...not yet..."

Hedwig slowly took his hands into her own and nodded. "Okay. Then we wait. I don't mind. I wasn't planning on telling my parents anyway. They figured it out."

"I'm kinda glad my parents haven't so far..." Spiroz sighed. "If they knew I was in love with an angel, they'd freak."

"...W-W-What?"

Spiroz's eyes widened, and he slowly turned to a blushing and gasping Hedwig who stared at him with wide eyes. He soon realized what his mouth had just said and quickly wished he could disappear forever. Of all the means he planned on confessing his love, just saying it out of the blue while in a state of worry was the last thing on his mind. Thankfully, Hedwig hadn't said or done anything other than be in a state of shock. Eventually, she spoke. "Y-You...You love me?"

"...Yes," Spiroz sighed and smiled warmly at her. If I'm doing this, let's go all out.

"Hedwig?" Spiroz brought her closer until they were eye to eye and facing each other. Both were nervous and red in the face, but Spiroz was smiling while Hedwig waited for him to continue with her mouth slightly open. "Ever since I first met you, my life has changed. I felt like I was in the darkest of storms with only the family I had to comfort me from a world that seemed to hate me just because I was born. But then I met you."

He closed his eyes and chuckled upon their first awkward meeting, how she was so happy and peppy while wanting to look at every angle of him from his head to his rear. "You didn't care that I was a demon. In fact, you were pleased. I was confused but interested. And when we saw each other again? I was drawn to you because you wanted to know me for who I was instead of what I was. That had never happened to me before, and I...I wanted to know more about you."

He saw the various events they did together, from talking to the woods to flying on Ascarios to eating ramen at their favorite restaurant. Every day was like a midnight summer's dream for him, and he found himself acting like a real teenager instead of an outcast. "You became my friend. My first friend who wasn't of my family or associated with them. I love Mitzy and Milton but they are more like cousins to me. You were an outsider with nothing to tie you to my parents, and you welcomed me with open arms. I started to see you as the most important person in my life."

"Sprio," Hedwig whispered, tears forming in her eyes.

"And when I told you the truth...after your gift protected me from my possible death?" Spiroz asked, his heart beating harder upon remembering that horrible evening that led to a hopeful resolution. "You never pushed me away. You still saw me as your friend. Your best friend. I ...I think that was when I did fall in love with you, but I never really realized it until recently."

He growled upon thinking of how he almost lost her to that son of a bitch that nearly killed her. Never before in his entire life did Sprioz want someone dead so badly, and he got his wish by taking care of the asshole himself. "When I almost lost you that day...I couldn't think about it. I had to save you. Even if it cost me my life, I just wanted you safe. I never want to think of you in such a position again. Because you are the light of my life, Hedwig. I've been surrounded by such darkness that...and you were the one to shine it away. I love you, Hedwig. And if you don't feel the same, I understand, but-"

His speech was interrupted by Hedwig, teary-eyed, hugging him and pressing their chests together. Both could feel their hearts beating with one another as their cheeks were nuzzling side by side. Hedwig whispered, "I love you too."

"Y-You do?" Spiroz asked.

"Yes, Spiro," She slowly ended the hug, but the two still held onto each other. "All those things you said? It makes me happy knowing how much you care about me. And that only has strength the feelings I have for you. I know this is going to be insane, and chances are we'll face a lot of hardship because of this, but...I want to be with you, Spiro Goetia."

"And I with you, Hedwig Illuminous," Spiroz whispered as he slowly pressed his forehead against hers. Tears of joy were now on his face, matching his love's, as the two continued to gaze at each other with bright smiles. "Call me Spiroz. My Father's the only one who calls my Dad Blitzo when he needs to, and you deserve to use my full name."

"Thanks," Hedwig gigged as she asked, "You sure you want to do this?"

"Sure enough that I want to do this."

He brought her closer again, but he pressed his beak against her own this time and closed his eyes. Together, their lips met, and they had their first kiss. Suddenly, the world seemed brighter, like a happy balloon was lifted in their chest before being cast off into the sky. A spark went through their entire bodies, filled with a positive charge that only made them want to continue feeling it. The two continued to press against each other, lost in their passion as a warm breeze flowed through the night.

Both knew that after today everything would change.

But both also knew they would face it together.

Sitting on her knees, surrounded by darkness save for a light coming from above in the crystal glass skyline, was a tall, blond angel meditating in silence. She was among the most beautiful angels, though several were still far more attractive than her in grace and wonder. Yet her heart was so pure and passionate that one could gaze at her and feel passive without any anger. She wore a pinkish-white dress with a red and golden cloth slash wrapped around her waist and shoulder. Golden lindens were wrapped around her waist and wrists as the angel's hands were clasped in prayer. Also golden was her hair, in a lightish brown aura that extended down to her waist. A golden halo shined above, and four bright wings of pure white flapped behind her. She slowly opened her yellow sun-kissed eyes and sighed before standing up.

She sensed two hearts connecting at long last in a passionate romance that saw them united. They were two souls destined for each other long before they had even met. One of many possible futures was predicted when this plan of the Lord's started after Spiroz's fathers had finally gotten together despite their hardship. Even she, the Archangel of Love, had rooted for these two demons who had taken everything Hell had thrown at them and defied them all to stay strong together. It would shock many to hear an angel of Heaven say that, but love was infinite and the strongest power in the universe. Be it an angel, human, or demon, the Archangel Sophia would support them so long as their love was true to each other.

And now the wheels of fate had turned with the bonding between two more star-crossed lovers who were destined for each other and yet would be forced to face even greater hardships that would challenge it. She was no Angel of Destiny, but she knew there were various endings to how this would all end. There was a happy one and a tragic one. Ultimately, it would be up to Spiroz and Hedwig's love to prove against everything and everyone that they were strong enough to come out on top.

Their very lives and the lives of their loved ones hung in the balance, after all.

Sophia wished she could do something to help them, but she couldn't. She could not interfere. It would make things worse in the long run. No, they had to do this without her. They had to do this on their own. It hurt, but she had faith in them.

She had faith in their love.
