While there are more review chapters to come, this one takes this thread back to its roots and is just a short and simple scene of James and Lily spending some time together having fun as brother and sister.
On the afternoon of Saturday, November 1st, 2014, James and Lily were all in the backyard eager to try out a magical candy they had received in their Trick or Treat bags the previous night.
The candies came in clear plastic bottles and the labels on the front on the bottles read Magical Bubble Candies in rainbow colored lettering. The candies inside were clear as well but could clearly be seen as bubbles.
"The exciting thing is," said James eagerly, "We don't know what these candies are going to do."
"There's an aura of mystery about them agreed," Lily, "Only one way to find out!"
Next nanosecond, James popped the top off the bottle and pulled out a bubble,
Then, something remarkable happened.
The bubble flew out of James's hand of its own accord.
The bubble hovered around James's face and as it did, it changed colors multiple times.
It went from clear to purple to blue to red in the span of a minute and a nanosecond.
After it had settled on red, it remained a bubble but reshaped itself into a cherry.
This cherry then flew into James's mouth of its own accord and popped there.
There was nothing to chew, but the popped bubble left a cherry flavor in James's mouth for ten minutes and ten nanoseconds.
"That was interesting," cooed Lily, "I'm guessing the flavor you got was cherry?"
"Yes," confirmed James, "But there was nothing to chew or eat. The bubble popped once it entered my mouth and then created a cherry flavor. But all that was there was the flavor."
"I see," smiled Lily, "The changing of the colors was super cool and taking on the exact shape of the flavor at the end was fun."
"These candies are clearly supposed to a have a fun factor to them," grinned James, "You take a turn now."
Lily thus opened her bottle and retrieved a bubble for herself.
This bubble flew around Lily's face the same way James's bubble had flown around his.
The difference came when the color changes began.
Lily's bubble transitioned from clear to orange to green to yellow in a minute and a nanosecond.
Once it made its mind up that it would be yellow, it stayed in its bubble form but took on the shape of a lemon.
The lemon then zoomed into Lily's mouth, mimicking what James's cherry had done.
After ten seconds and ten nanoseconds, Lily piped up, "You were exactly right, James. I just a lemon flavor. Nothing to chew. Nothing to eat. Just an awesome lemon flavor."
"These magical bubble candies are pretty neat," said James cheerfully.
"The color changes, the shapes, the taste without anything else," beamed Lily jovially, "Definitely like the fun factor of these candies and they taste great too! For an extra touch of fun, let's do one each simultaneously."
James and Lily each helped themselves to a second bubble.
Fittingly, they were rewarded with the same experience as each other.
This time, the color went from clear to teal to hot pink before decided that it would be white.
To James's delight, the white bubbles surrounding James and Lily now assumed the shapes of marshmallows.
As the marshmallow bubbles flew into James's and Lily's mouths, they grinned at each before savoring the marshmallow flavor, which mimicked the flavor of the marshmallow found in Old Faithful bars, James's favorite candy bar and a candy bar that Lily also had a very high opinion of.
After that flavor, they didn't need to say to each other.
They were delighted to have shared that moment together and they felt it within themselves and each other.
Consuming Magical Candy Bubbles was a fantastic way for brother and sister to spend some time together.
