Chapter 25: Reactions

Endeavour was watching Sports Festival from a spot designated to famous Pros. Although several seats were reserved for his family, they were all empty. He was watching the performance with interest and hope to see the flames, but his son stubborn as all hell. Even the vine girl couldn't force out the fire. The teleporting menace that is Izuku Midoriya was his last hope of making Shoto change his mind. Unfortunately, their fight was ruined by the temporal anomaly. It's almost as if fate didn't want his son to win. Enji needed a drink after (not) seeing this.

Inko Midoriya and Bakugos were watching the performance in their home. Izuku's mother ignored the questions regarding her son's ability to teleport. Mistuki went into a temper tantrum after Katsuki being defeated so easily, making Inko laugh a little bit. She had to fake the surprised expression due to expecting King Crimson's trickery at play.

"You know, Inko. I'm starting to think that Izuku can predict this strange phenomenon and use it to his advantage."

"My son IS very smart. May be he figured out the exact timings like with solar eclipses."

"I wouldn't be surprised."

UA teaching lounge.

"I still don't get how it worked. Ok, he erased time so we can't remember it, but how did he get past the ice barrier?" Present Mic scratched his head.

"King Crimson essentially turns its user into a ghost when time is being erased. That's why Todoroki's quirk couldn't restrain him." Nezu replied.

"So there's no way to keep him locked up?"

"No."

"I'm so glad he wants to become a hero. The kid would be a pain in the ass to fight as a villain." Vlad King said as he watched King Crimson carry Shoto towards medical bots.

"We all are."

"By the way, Nezu. Theoretically, if he WAS a villain, who would be the strongest hero he could defeat?" Hound Dog asked.

"All Might."

"WHAT?" The person in question coughed out blood.

"It wouldn't be easy, especially in a direct confrontation, but Killer Queen's ability to turn anything into a bomb can theoretically kill almost anyone with one touch. The only exception is people with gigantification, as they could abuse the mass limit of Midoriya's quirk*."

"But what if someone has a durability boosting quirk? Or regeneration?" Ectoplasm wondered.

"It would make no difference. According to Midoriya himself, Killer Queen adds a property to an object that makes it explosive. He tested many different materials and none of them could resist the effect. And that Nomu thing had excellent regeneration, but it still couldn't survive as Midoriya completely destroyed its body."

All Might had a flashback of Sludge villain staring at KQ's hand as he was being arrested. For a moment he imagined himself being in shoes. Scary!

Re Destro and his cronies finished watching the festival.

"Is this really your guy, Curious?"

"Yes. I have fun with him every few months. I used to think he's just some spoiled kid but it he's definitely more than that."

"His superpower is strange. May be has 3 of them?"

"That's impossible. The only man who could possess multiple meta abilities has been dead for years. It's probably just a multi-part ability like Shoto Todoroki's ice and fire."

"His pussy cat's ability is very similar to mine. Mmm, I'll have to ask him if there is a way to work overtime. I have SO many questions." She licked her hand out of habit.

"And that yellow's thing can apparently teleport over small distances. It's a shame we couldn't see red's meta ability due to time leap."

"There will be another chance in the future. Chitose, you haven't mentioned him to any newspaper, right?"

"Right. First we need to make sure he's on our side."

"I don't see why he wouldn't. His superpower rivals many heroes and villains. He'll fit right in!"

Shigaraki was watching the show with contempt in his eyes. That Midoriya brat WAS cheating! He had 3 quirks, more than anyone besides Sensei should have. He'll pay for it someday! The glass in Tomura's hand got turned into dust.

"Are you ok?"

"No, Kurogiri, I'm not ok. We lost our Nomu to that bastard and now he's making a dumb speech about becoming a hero!"

"Shigaraki, I think I know what we should do next."

"Do tell."

"Let us contact the Hero Killer. He's getting quite a lot of popularity these days and we could use his popularity to gain new recruits."

"I suppose you're right. We DO need more units for future raids. Find him and bring him here."

Stain was watching the recording through a burner phone a random rooftop. Most students seemed like future fakes who only care about fame or money, not there were some exceptions. Namely, Izuku Midoriya sounded quite convincing when talking about trying his best. Perhaps one day he'll kill the Hero Killer instead of All Might.

A portal opened behind Stain, forcing into a defensive stance.

"Who are you? What do you want from me?"

"Greetings. I am Kurogiri, the member of League of Villains. I'd like you to meet my superior and listen to his offer."

"Fine, but don't try anything clever or you're dead!"

Both men vanished from the roof.

All For One was contemplating over what he heard from the TV. He was certain that All Might successor would reveal themselves by now, but perhaps he had to wait a bit more. In the meantime, the winner of the tournament seemed to possess three quirks, each with intriguing abilities. He couldn't wait to steal them for himself.

Author's note: The mass limit of Killer Queen's first bomb is my headcanon, and I think it's fitting. The largest thing Kira turned into a bomb in JOJO was an adult human. He never destroyed cars or large walls like that.
