Summary: The Doctor introduces his companions to an old friend.

"Amy, Rory, meet His Royal Highness Piffnam the Fourteenth. We're old friends, I've known him since his late father was king."

Piffnam was middle-aged, thin, and looked mostly human, but he didn't appear very regal.

"Um, hi," said Rory. "Should we bow or something?"

"No need for all that." Piffnam smiled. "No point; I'm a king without a kingdom."

"Were you usurped and dethroned?" Amy asked.

"Oh, no, I'm hereditary ruler of an island kingdom, but it sank when my Great, Great Grandfather was king. The title's still being passed down though, just in case our home ever resurfaces again."
