A/N: So! Welcome back to Pokémon Reborn... Uh, it's been a while. In where I completed my Fossil Fighters Champions story. Started a whole different story (Which I may or may not complete). In my absence I played some games, had my fall semester at college start, learn a few other things... Anyway one of the games I played is Reborn's sibling game of Pokémon Rejuvenation... Yeah, I'm a sucker for these types of Fangames, and I just finished V13 of Pokémon Rejuvenation. And you know what that got me into. Time to write more Pokémon Reborn Story! Cause I think I want to eventually go for the sister game as well and to do that I need to finish this one first! Yeah, I'm feeling lazy so no story recap or character thing... So onto other news:
This is an original Pokémon Fan Game, made by Amethyst. if you wish to check it out and play the game download it at Reborn Evolved. search for it on your web browser if you want to get to the website.
Oh... boy, this is the section of the game I left off at... Arceus I don't know if it was good of me or not to leave my story just after Samson's battle but here we are. Just as an Alert, there may be things people may not be comfortable with… as this chapter talks about suicide, and it's not a very comfortable subject for some people. This is just a bit of warning, if you are the type of person to be unsettled about this, then please don't read. Sorry if it bothers you.
Chapter 58-
Time: 6:30
Location: Agate Circus
It was early in the morning, the day after Percival had finished his battle with Samson. With how Hardy described the distance between the cities, and the possible ambush routes Meteor might have, it was discussed an early excursion would be more beneficial. As the group was gathered, the Ring Master was in a happy mood. Samson, Ciel, and regrettably Terra were all nearby as well. Terra though was on some sort of computer, typing in commands and codes. Marie tried to watch in interest but had more pressing issues of trying help everyone make sure was ready.
"Well… I think that's about it." Percival said making sure his team was healthy. "Everyone else good?"
"Yup!" Lucille nodded.
"I'm tired… But willing." Aya muttered, not particularly being the morning person.
"I'm ready to rock and roll some Meteor goons." Hardy nodded his head; it was best for the people of Calcenon if they got there fast. As it was, they dawdled way too much.
"I'm good like the show you had last night~" Cain smirked, it was fun seeing a gym battle and Percival's performance was superb.
"Yes, it was very good show!" Even the Ring Master sang as she once again thanked Percival. "We made a killing last night. To have beaten Samson's Ace like that… I do hope you manage to find the other passes to challenge our other Leaders."
"Samson is our baby though." Ciel smiled, teasing the recently recruited Gym Leader Samson. Then taunting Percival. "Don't think we'll be quite so easy~"
"Ciel is t0tes ez. if yanno wut i mean." Came interjecting the magnificent creature, Terra… "but u mess w/ me and ill RAWWWWWRRR RAWWWR your RAWWWRRAWWWRRAWWWR. and ill take my RAWWRR and shove it in your RAWWWR until you cant even RAAAWWWRR RRAWWWWRRAAWWRRR! twice."
"…" Silence overcame the group as they barely understood any of the words Terra said, other than the word RAWR. I've said this before, I'll say this again. How the hell is she a Gym Leader.
"…Anyway." The Ringmaster broke the silence "I've got an opening ceremony to do. So, I bid you all safe travels. And come visit again sometime."
As the Ringmaster left the room, there was a high pitch beep that came from the computer system. Then Terra gasped. "Waiddasecond."
"Hm?" Ciel somehow picked something different in Terra's attitude. "Did you finally trace the signal?"
""""""Signal?"""""" The six all interestedly perked up at mention of that.
"Ah, yes, Terra here is an expert in computer use. We've had her for the past few nights, between shows and her breaks and her breaking stuff, trying to see if she can locate any anomalies that would explain the state of Agate City." Ciel nodded in explaining. She's good with computers? If I wasn't seeing it, I'd find it hard to believe…
"HOLD ON TO YOUR DONGERS, BOYS AND GIRLS, WE'VE GOT NEWS!" Terra's shout alerted everyone in the room even more. It appears she's found something.
After a moment of silence and her not saying anything. Samson sighed, and asked. "Well? What is it?"
"With m4h highly adv4nced sup3r 1337 h4ck1ngu sKiLlZ i have discovered something very important!" Terra said, leaving another gap of silence. Starting to cause annoyance in everyone.
"Well, you gonna tell us or not?" Hardy impatiently asked, it was currently his city that was in trouble. And damn him if he was going to let this go on forever.
"I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT CIEL IS WEARING A THONG!" As Terra yelled that, nearly everyone who was serious lost their balance.
"Excuse me?!" Ciel whose face flushed, ran to the computer screen. Trying to understand all the complexity. Then realizing what was on there. "What is—That's not what it says at all!"
Terra however just smirked and said. "ya didn't deny it bb"
"I—Look," Ciel just sighed, forcing the conversation back to what it was intended to be. Then pointed at a dot on the screen. "Let's just focus on this. That data point right there, what is it?"
"Ooh! Data points! Interesting!" Marie exclaimed interested in the computer more. Though disliked her inability to see the screen.
Terra moving to block the screen further. "that one, right? i call him timmy. his hobbies including cross-stitching, motorbiking, and planting lizards in the knicker drawers of old ladies."
"I think I like Timmy." Cain smiled, joining into the chaos.
"Cain, no. We are not condoning her behavior." Percival said, not wanting this to be distracted any further.
Ciel on the same side as Percival looked frustrated at their rainbow hair colored companion. "I mean, what does the data MEAN?!"
"I dunno. I just hacked the broadcaster to get it, I ain't no statistician." Terra shrugged. There was an audible sigh from everyone who thought she had something important to say. "Buuuuuuut if HAD to take a guess, I'd say the signal's RAWRIN' out from somewhere in Ametrine City."
"So, someone in Ametrine City is broadcasting a signal over Agate City which puts them to sleep." Samson nodded, getting a basic understanding of what Terra was getting at.
"A Sleep Signal?" Marie sounded pretty unsure as she heard that…
"Then someone needs to go up to Ametrine and stop that signal, pronto." Hardy heard what he wanted to hear. Deciding the need to get up to Ametrine to take down the signal.
"Either way, from what was discussed yesterday… We're still going to need Surf." Percival sighed,
"…Hey, Cain?" Lucille started to think, and suddenly remembered something.
"Yeah, what's up Lucy?" Cain tilted his head towards
"Correct me if I'm wrong… But didn't you say that Heather was adopted by a guy named Blake up in Ametrine?" Lucille asked, which Cain somewhat paled.
"Oh, shit your right…" Cain remembered what happened. "with how things are… Do you think?"
"Meteor members might be holding up in the city…" Lucille sighed.
"Wait… Heather? As in the daughter of the previous Poison Leader?" Aya was exasperated. "What the hell have you guys been doing?"
"A lot of troublesome things." Percival sighed, "It seems that is as I was thinking this task is becoming more and more troublesome."
"Well, as it is… Aya, Cain, Marie and I are gonna start the trek to Calcenon." Hardy nodded, "Guess we'll drop Cain and Marie off on the path to Ametrine. Then after that you'll meet us at Calcenon after your done up there, sound good?"
"Best plan as any… I guess." Percival looked over to Marie, knowing how Aya and Cain might act. "Please don't give Hardy a hard time please…"
"Yeah, I think these two already got it covered." Marie remembered how Cain and Aya acted the day before. She understood Percival's reason for saying that. "But to think the child is more responsible… ugh… being an adult is gonna Suuuuck."
"Calcenon? More like Claceyawwwwwn." Terra interrupted with her own childish impulses. Making the impression of faking a yawn. Though she was being ignored very much.
"I've heard you mention going to Calcenon, but I don't know why." Samson intrigued, decided to say something.
"Some of the other Leaders are in a stand-off against Team Meteor there." Hardy explained to Ciel and Samson. "We're going to help out."
"Team Meteor? More like Team Metebore." Terra continued to mock everyone as they spoke.
Aya, the most fed up with the constant annoyance that is Terra snapped. "Do you ever say anything that isn't stupid?"
"Stupid? More like…" …It seems like she's—She just took out her hammer. "RAAAAAAAAWWRRRRR!" She screeched as she swung her hammer as she left the room… I've said this way too many times, but what the hell is wrong with her.
"Like a bat out of hell…" Ciel muttered as Terra terrorized everyone.
"She's definitely something out of hell alright." Samson agreed with Ciel's remark.
"Well… Guess this is our time to split." Percival sighed, scratching the back of his head.
"Aye." Hardy nodded, "I guess we'll take off now. See you at Calcenon, mate. Peace!"
"See ya later Percy~" Cain hummed as the gang started to split up.
Time: 7:45
Location: Fiore Manor
The walk to the place of where Titania and Amaria was quite pleasant. The mountain weather was cold, but quite pleasant. The paths were rather tricky to walk around, but Percival and Lucille seemed to manage well.
As they got closer to the place, Percival noted the sound of running water. Seeing the waterfall, that lead back to the city of Reborn. It was the same waterfall that was east of Reborn's Grand Stairway. "…"
"Percy, are you okay?" Lucille noticed something was off from Percival's behavior.
"I'm fine, that lunatic clown has just had me stressed." Percival smiled. Lying as he recalled the events before his battle against the Reborn Region's Ghost-type Leader, Shade. Previous to the battle, Percival was shown a few visions, none of them pleasant. First was of an event that already occurred, the death of the previous Poison Leader Corey. Next the death of Reborn's previous Fighting-type leader Kiki, which within the next day or so he saw come true. Now what seemed the most prominent was the death of Amaria.
"…Yeah, that's true." Lucille nodded, "She screamed for what seemed to be an hour last night… What hell is wrong with her?"
"You're asking me?" Percival chuckled at that. But truth be told that was the least of Percival's worries. It started yesterday, when Percival heard about Amaria's Lover. Percival could care less if Amaria's partner was male or female, it was the description of the woman. Red hair, combined with the waterfall nearby… Percival was scared that another vision of Shade's would come true.
"Well, either way." Lucille looked to the door. "We should prepare to get into trouble after this." Lucille knocked loudly against the door. "Amaria? Titania? Are you there?"
There was a moment of silence then a woman with red hair came to the door. She immediately recognized Lucille, then looking at the boy with white hair a bit confused. "Hello, I am Percival, Percival Jera-… Ahem, Percival Wisteria. (I still need to get used to that.)"
"Oh, so you got the Badge." Titania nodded, understanding why the two where there. "Amaria is out for a walk. Come on in, while I fetch the Machine. Though it's a mess everywhere, it may be a while before I find it. Just wait in the living room."
"Well, don't mind us." Percival and Lucille walked inside, starting to wait for Titania as she looked around the house.
As the waiting ensued, Percival's eyes wandered through the Livingroom. Sure, there was clutter everywhere, but his gaze landed on a red book over on the table. The book was open, as he walked closer to it there was no wonder that a few words would caught his eyes. Especially words like 'happy-ever after' it was less than a second as his eyes landed on it. Percival knew what it was. He did a 180-pin turn, trying to make sure Lucille did not attempt to read it.
"Percy?" Lucille quickly understood something was wrong with Percival, as she noticed something was up with the book.
"It's… nothing." Percival whispered to her, "I don't recommend looking at that book."
"…" Lucille was skeptical, but understood.
In a few minutes, Titania returned. With disk for the TM Surf in hand, she threw it over to Percival. "Here, catch."
"Woah!" Percival was slightly unexpecting the TM to be thrown, moved to catch it. His eyes accidentally going over to the book once more.
"!" Titania then realized what Percival's gaze, immediately understood something happened. "What did you do? Did that read that book?"
"I saw a book on a counter, thought it was something be read. I didn't know what it was." Percival tried to calmly explain…
Though that seemed to backfire. "Have you no regard for personal privacy? Just because it was left open in a moment of haste—haste, in courtesy to yourself, no less– you do NOT have permission to read it. And how dare you?"
"Wait? What did Percival even read?" Lucille not quite sure what was going on had to ask.
"It doesn't matter…" Percival sighed, he understood that he got in trouble. This was business that should strictly be related between Amaria and Titania. He thought of that for three reasons: One, with everything going on they didn't need another problem to work with. Two, he didn't know much about relationships, and didn't have the real courage for something like this. Three, he felt if he said anything, it would cause Shades vison come to pass. "Come on, we should get going."
"…" Before Percival could get Lucille to leave, Titania called out to Percival once more. "Wait. About what you read… if you have a single shred of decency, you will NOT breath a word of it to anyone. I understand it was a wretched choice, but she was my closest friend, and when she threw herself at me, I reacted poorly. She already struggles with depression and suicide. I will NOT be the reason she goes over the edge. And neither will a mistake like this. So, you will not let her find out, under any circumstance. Understood?"
Though before Percival and Lucille could say anything, there was an audible sound of a door closing. Looking over, Amaria had apparently came back from her walk, seemingly hearing something. "Find out what?"
Percival could feel his blood run cold, Lucille seeing as she didn't know anything really was still confused. While Titania cursed her own luck. "Perfect timing. Couldn't be better. Really."
"Tania?" Amaria asked slightly worried. "What don't you want me to know?"
"Don't worry about it." Titania tried brush the subject aside.
"What?" But Amaria wasn't going to let it go, since right now it appeared to concern Percival and Lucille. "Percival? Lucille? What is she talking about?"
"…" Percival bit his lip, hoping she wouldn't look to the book.
"I don't really know myself." Lucille sighed, "Percival glanced at a book, and—" Lucille received an elbow from Percival, though the word book had already left her lips.
"A book?" Amaria looked to the counter, seeing the open book. And started to walk towards it.
With the distance between Amaria and Titania. Titania could only say. "Don't do that."
"…" Amaria ignored Titania warning, going to the book. Reading aloud Titania's Diary Entry. "As always, I am endlessly tired of this wretched facade. I had intended for Amaria's mood to get better, but she has only become increasingly volatile and dependent. The ink I lace upon your pages is some solace, but I still cannot foresee any 'happy ever-after' to this fake fairy tale romance. I was a fool to have trapped myself in this role. At this rate, it will be the death of either her or myself. Regardless—" well… that was all Amaria could read.
Amaria looked at Titania shocked at what she just read. Amaria spoke… her voice shaking. ""Fake fairy tale romance"? Tania, what is the meaning of this?"
"I tried to warn you." Tatiana couldn't make eye contact with Amaria.
"…You… don't love me, do you?" As Amaria said that, Lucille understood why Percival wanted to leave.
"Amaria, you're my best friend. I would choose you over anyone else." Tatiana said her honest feelings. "But that's not necessarily a romantic preference. I feared if you knew, you would hurt yourself, and I acted stupid. I'm sorry."
"Being with you…" Amaria said, tears in her eyes. "Was like someone was picking up the shards of my shattered glass heart, and fitting them together again bit by bit. But now, that glass has been shattered again…" Amaria's legs started move before anything else could be said. "…I'm gonna go…"
Percival and Lucille were unable to do anything as Amaria pushed past them. Tatiana yelling at Amaria. "Amaria wait!" Titania started to rush as well, pushing past the two as well. "Amy!"
"…" Percival felt a pit in his stomach as he already had the idea of what was to happen.
"…" Lucille hesitant in her mistake, understood she couldn't just stand there. "Percy, we have to go!"
"…I-I know." Percival stuttered, Amaria was likely to do something bad. And they had to stop her.
They rushed out of the mansion. Though no sight of them nearby. Lucille feeling quite worried looked around the mountain tops, searching for someone else.
"Amaria, get back from there." They heard Titania shout. Following the sound of Titania's voice. Percival and Lucille soon saw the two women by the waterfall, Amaria at the edge of the cliff. Titania was quite worried, trying to plead with Amaria. "Amaria, enough of this. Go back home already. I only wanted to help you, even if it meant ignoring my own needs."
"So, you lied to me?" Amaria was hurt, her mind wasn't thinking at all. "About everything? How does that help?!"
"It was naïve." Titania answered honestly still hoping to persuade Amaria. "I learned that long ago, but there was no way for me to leave you after that.
"Because you thought I would do something like this, right? How long have you felt like this?" Amaria responded, still incredibly hurt.
"Since the beginning." This was Titania's truth.
"So, you never loved me?" Amaria was hurt badly. "It was all just out of pity?"
"Not pity." Titania never judged it to be that. "Misguided compassion. Amaria please, let's go back inside. We can talk—"
"No!" Amaria shouted, getting closer to the edge. "If you never loved me, then everything we had was just a lie…? You were my world, you know? But I guess I was just your prison."
"it's not like that." Titania denied that.
"It won't be anymore." Amaria closed her eyes taking another step closer to the cliff. "With this, I set you free."
"Amy!" Titania shouted. "Don't be stupid!"
"Goodbye, my love." Amaria leaned back letting herself fall from the cliff.
"Stop!" Titania dived for Amaria, but was not close enough to catch her. She muttered something, then looked over at Percival and Lucille. "You two. I'm going after her, but I don't have a way back up. Figure it out, or I WILL come back to haunt you!" Without a second thought Titania jumped off the cliff after Amaria."
"…" Percival was pale, the vision he's seen before had just played out before his eyes.
"Percival, calm down." Lucille saw how Percival was acting and tried to shake him out of it. "Amaria's alive, I'm sure of it."
"H-How… She" Percival thinking back to Corey…
"Percival, she isn't here. Amaria and Titania are fine… They might be mad, but fine." Lucille reassured.
The "she" Lucille meant was her Absol, Hope. Lucille was Marked by the Absols, so she could see misfortune before it could occur. As it was, Hope was nowhere to be seen, meaning Amaria and Titania were alive. They had to be.
