"Christiana, Michael. Welcome to Hope Valley." Bill Avery said as he walked up to the group. Bill whispered to Jack and Elizabeth "These are my incredibly rich and bratty niece and nephew"

Jack nodded. "We noticed."

"So you two, what do you think of Hope Valley? I hope you'll be happy with rooms in the saloon." Bill said smiling.

Christiana looked up in horror. Michael gasped in shock. Elizabeth and Jack left to the saloon to look at the books. "Since when did Abigail's chocolate chip cookies become some of Elina's most prized possessions." Jack asked.

Elizabeth laughed. "Oh my goodness. Jack, look." Elizabeth pointed to the jail.

Elina had Cody Stanton in handcuffs and Cody was struggling to get out of her iron grip. Cody was laughing. Elina was trying to keep a straight face as she threw Cody into jail. Elizabeth and Jack went into the saloon.

Meanwhile Elina had Cody in a cell. "Elina , you have to let me out. My Mom is going to want me for dinner." he said.

"Ms. Abigail can pay bail and I'm sure Pastor Frank is going to want you to learn your lesson and never EVER steal again" Elina said, smiling.

"I promise." Cody said laughing.

At that moment, Abigail came in through the door. "Elina, why is Cody in jail?" she asked dumbfounded.

"He stole something very precious," Elina answered.

Abigail gasped. "What?"

"A plate of the chocolate chip cookies that you gave me this morning." Elina said, smiling.

"How much is the bail?" Abigail asked.

"Another plate of the cookies delivered by Pastor Frank, I have a question to ask him" Elina said with a smirk on her tan face.

Abigail laughed, "I'll have him bring them over later." Abigail said.

Around an hour later, Michael and Christiana Avery walked in with their noses in the air. "There was a rat in our room. We were wondering if you could get rid of the varmint" Michael said.

Elina fought to keep from laughing. Cody burst out laughing. Christiana looked appalled.

"Ms. and Mr. Avery, I am a Mountie and I am pretty sure getting a rat out of a hotel room is out of my jurisdiction. And why don't you do it yourself. You can get mouse traps at Mr. Yost's Store can't you?" Elina was a little confused.

"Ma'am. You don't understand. We are from Hamilton. We don't set mouse traps." Michael said, honestly wanting her to understand. Christiana laughed.

"If you are in Hope Valley you learn to set mouse traps." Elina said. "Now if you'll excuse me. I have Mountie business to get to" Elina shooed them out of the jail.

Cody started laughing even further. "Did you see their faces? It was priceless." Cody said.

Elina couldn't hold it in any further and sat down and laughed. They were still laughing when Pastor Frank entered with a plate of cookies.

"I heard the Stanton boy was in jail. Ms. Abigail told me to bring over the bail." he said smiling.

"Cody, I'm very disappointed in you. You should never steal no matter how delicious the stolen goods are. That is the start of going down the wrong path." Pastor Frank said.

He looked very disappointed. Cody hung his head. "I'm sorry. Can I get out now?" Cody looked apologetic but happy with the joke.

"That's up to Mountie Elina." Pastor Frank said.

Elina shook her head. "I want you to stay here for a little bit longer and if you ask I could give you a cookie." Elina said smiling.

They heard yelling outside. Bill Avery was dragging Michael and Christiana out of Dottie's dress shop and into the saloon.

"I have to go find out what's happening. And keep the peace." Elina said, running out of the jail. Cody sighed. Pastor Frank also followed.

"What is going on?" Elina asked RoseMary Coulter.

"Oh, the girl wanted to buy a dress out of the window. I told her it was already spoken for and she pretty much threw a tantrum. Then her brother comes in and starts tearing apart the dress." Rosemary said, amazed.

"Thanks Rosie." Elina said while Rosemary hurried off.

Elina walked into the saloon. Bill was severely talking to both of them.

"Excuse me, Mr. Avery." Elina said, tapping him on the shoulder.

He nodded.

"Now don't be surprised if she arrests you. And she can have you stay in prison for a couple nights." Bill said glaring at the twins and nodding towards Elina.

"I am going to have you stay at the prison for a couple of nights and pay for the damage you caused to Mrs. Ramseys dresses." Elina said sternly.

"You can't arrest us. We are famous in Hamilton after the Thatchers of course but we are rich. We'll pay you to not arrest us and that should take care of the charges. Shouldn't it?" Michael said, smiling hopefully.

Elina was fuming. "You disturbed the peace, destruction of public property and tried to bribe someone who happens to be half Mountie. I think three nights in jail. You never ever try to bribe your way out. You toughen up and take your punishment especially if you deserve it. Do you hear me?" Elina said sternly.

The twins nodded.

"Now you two come with me." Elina said. She grabbed both their wrists and led them toward the door.

Michael tried to wrench away but Elina had an iron grip. He subsided. Once they made it to the jail, Elina roughly pushed them into the cell. She sat down to wait for Jack to come in. Around three hours later, Jack came in. He stopped in his tracks to see both cells filled.

"Elina, what is going on?" He asked.

"They disturbed the peace, destruction of public property and then tried to bribe me in front of Bill Avery." Elina said looking up from her drawing of Mr. Cantrell and Philip which she was going to give to them on Christmas.

"You arrested these two." Jack asked questioningly.

Elina turned red. "Mr. Avery said I could." Elina said more confidently.

"Aah. I have to go talk to him." He said. Elina got up to leave.

"Oh Elina, you did good." Jack said. She smiled and nodded.

"How can a 15 year old arrest us, Practically royalty?" Michael shouted to Jack.

"Because you did something wrong and you have to take your punishment whether you like it or not." Elina said leaving the jail.
