Yay! Ya'll got an update! Sorry forthe sporadic updates! If i updated regulary ya'll would have the second book and half of the last! just as a warning for some of this wack she did this and he smiled, yah i wrote this years ago when I was just a tiny little pen learning how to write thank you for bearing with me.

"Mr. This girl attacked me." Mr. Thatcher said in feigned surprise.

"Not from what I saw." Jack stepped in through the door. Jack moved to push Mr. Thatcher into the jail cell. He locked him in just as Elizabeth came in with her mother.

"What is going on here?" Grace Thatcher asked in bewilderment.

"Ma'am, your husband just attacked Elena. As you can see, there is no wound on him so she was not able to attack back." Jack said.

He immediately went to Elenaand helped her up since she had woken up. She sat down on a chair, painful as it was.

"When he has stayed his time, I don't think we should be here for the wedding." Elizabeth's mother said.

"I will miss you but I think that would be best for everyone." Elizabeth said, leading her mother out of the jail.

"Can you walk or do you want me to carry you?" Jack asked worriedly.

"I can walk. I think." Elena rose slowly.

She gingerly walked out of the jail and into the infirmary. Jack watched. It seemed like an eternity to get to the infirmary. But when she did Faith screamed at the sight.

"Oh my gosh. Elena, what happened?" Faith shrieked. Carson came in.

"You ok?" He asked.

"Yup, I just need a sling and a bandage for my head." Elen said carefully sitting on the examination table.

"The head wounds are not too deep so I don't need stitches and my arm is only a crack not too bad of a break." Elena said.

"What happened?" Carson asked getting the sling.

"Let's just say that Elizabeth's parents won't be at the wedding and Mr. Thatcher is in our jail." Elena

voiced lightly.

Carson sighed. He finished fixing her arm and Faith fixed up her head.

"I have to go. I'm getting dinner at the cafe." Elenasaid walking out.

"That girl is amazing scary. But also so pretty. Does she know that?" Faith asked Carson.

"I don't think so. Like pa used to tell her she looked like an angel but I don't think she ever believed it. Elizabeth brought the same thing up when we were talking. For the wedding, Elizabeth is going to make her wear a dress. She's lucky being a girl who wants to be a Mountie hasn't gotten her interested in boys." Carson answered.

Back to Elena

Elena slowly walked to the Cafe. When she entered, Clara hurried her into the kitchen. Elizabeth was also there. Clara then took out a dark, sky blue dress.

"How do you like it? It's for you to wear at the wedding." Clara asked. Elizabeth smiled.

"It's a dress." Elena pointed to it.

"Yes, it is. Carson said your father loved the color blue." Elizabeth said convincingly.

"He knows me to well. Do you want me to try it on?" Elena asked quietly.

Elizabeth nodded.

Elena went upstairs to try it on. She tied a ribbon that she kept in her pocket through her hair. She was beautiful. She walked downstairs. Elizabeth, Abigail, and Clara gasped in surprise when they saw her.

"Elena, you look amazing." Abigail said, shocked.

"I'm going to change back and get dinner started at home. We're going to have spaghetti." Elenasaid running back upstairs.

She came back and sprinted back to the house.

"Elizabeth, have you noticed how she runs alot?" Abigail queried.

"I did. I asked her why but she just said to get her energy out." Elizabeth mentioned.

"Aah." Abigail answered.

The day of the wedding finally came. The ceremony was actually held in the saloon with Pastor Frank performing the ceremony. Elena, Abigail, and Rosemary helped Elizabeth with getting ready. Elena, Abigail, and Rosemary helped Elizabeth with her preparations down the stairs first. Then Abigail and Rosemary and Florence. Finally Elizabeth came down in a stunning white gown. She was smiling softly. Elenawasn't smiling her normal smile either but she had a calm smile to go along with her soft eyes.

Jack looked splendid in his Mountie attire. Carson, Bill, and Lee were groomsmen. Cody was the ringbearer. As the words, I do were said the moment came.

"I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Frank said grinningwidely.

Jack then kissed Elizabeth and they walked down the aisle. The reception then started. It was also held at the saloon. The dancing also began. Jack swept Elizabeth across the floor. Bill asked Florence to dance with him while Frank danced with Abigail. Rosemary danced with her husband.

But the surprise of the night came when Carson asked Elena to dance. the two had actually been brushing up on their dance skills for nights before the wedding. Elena's smile was the brightest thing there beside Elizabeth's eyes. After the first dance, Jack asked Elena to dance with him. She says yes. Jack's uniform and Elena's blue dress contrasted perfectly the only dress that looked any better next to him was Elizabeth's.

When it was time for the throwing of the bouquet, Elenaslowly exited the group of single women.

"Elena, why aren't you going to try to catch the flowers?" Jack asked as she moved to stand next to him.

"Married to the job. plus I want Abigail to catch it." Elena smiled as Elizabeth threw the bouquet over her head.

As Elen predicted, Abigail caught it and Frank turned bright red. Bill smiled. Abigail then collapsed upon the floor. Frank, Cody and Elena were the first one's be by her side. Carson, Bill, Jack and Elizabeth were next.

"Abigail, Abigail!" Elenasaid rubbing her hands.

"We need to get her back to the infirmary." Carson said looking up.

Pastor Frank then lifted up Abigail and slowly carried her out of the saloon. Elena ran back to the house and changed back into her Mountie uniform. She then took Cody to the infirmary. Elena had tears in her eyes and Cody held tightly onto her hand. When they entered the infirmary, they both had tears streaming down their faces. Elena wastrying her best to hide hers but Cody had no such resolution.

Pastor Frank was standing in the corner praying while Elizabeth who was still in her wedding gown, along with Jack; they were calling out to God, to keep this precious soul who had done so much with them. Cody was about to run to Abigail but Elena held him back. He started crying and Elena wrapped her arms around the weeping boy.

"Carson, is she going to be alright?" Elena asked.

"I don't know. It could be overwork but it could be something else." he said.

Cody sank to the ground. Elena sat next to him.

"But you can make her better right?" Cody asked nervously.

"I will do my best. Cody." He said not fully answering his question.

Elena jumped up and left the infirmary. Jack went to go after her but Elizabeth stopped him.

"Let her go." She said softly even though there were tears in her eyes.

Jack nodded and then kissed his wife on the cheek. Elizabeth smiled. Cody just sat on the ground crying. Elena ran back in after a half hour.

"I made dinner at the cafe. Bill helped me. I want you all to eat. I already did." Elena ordered.

Pastor Frank and Cody shook their heads, despondently.

"Don't you think Ms. Abigail would want you to eat? Actually, I know Ms. Abigail would want you to eat." Elena said sternly.

Pastor Frank and Cody went across the street and into the cafe. Elizabeth and Jack were about to go too but Elena stopped them.

"You two need to catch a train." She told the newlyweds.

"We're not going anywhere." Jack said and Elizabeth nodded.

"But I can take care of everything and Cody." Elena argued.

"We know but we should stay here." Elizabeth said.

"You two are going to catch the train. So goodbye." Elena ordered again.

"Are you sure about this?" Elizabeth asked worriedly.

"I'm sure. Now go enjoy your honeymoon." Elena tried to laugh but it came out in a choked sob and she hugged Elizabeth tightly.

Elizabeth hugged her back with tears in her eyes.

"Now just make sure you come back." Elena cried.

She hugged Jack and Elizabeth one more time before they left on the stage to catch their train.

Elena sighed. She shook it off. She was the Mountie of Hope Valley now. Cody and Frank came back in after eating. She drew Cody onto her lap while Frank stood over Abigail.

"How's her fever?" Elena asked.

"Higher." Faith answered.

Elena went out to do her rounds. Cody listlessly followed her. Rosemary and Lee Coulter caught up to them.

"Oh, Elena how is Abigail?" Rosemary asked worriedly.

"Worse. Carson said it could be overwork but he doesn't know." Elena answered giving Cody a side hug.

"Well, we will be praying for her." Lee said as they walked away.

Elena shook her head tiredly. She didn't know what to do needed something done. She was their Mountie. She couldn't say no. And she wouldn't. This was her life.

"Are you ok?" Cody asked.

"Yes, I'm fine. Let's go on my rounds and then we can sit with Ms. Abigail." She suggested.

Cody nodded. "Are you sure?" The young boy didn't get to finish when Florence and Dottie came up to them.

"Elena, we don't want to bother you but people are wondering who will run the cafe." Dottie asked carefully.

"Bill has already told me he could do it." Elena said happy that she could solve one of the people's problems.

Dottie and Florence walked on. The Mountie sighed tiredly. Elena was exhausted.

"Elena, Jack said he would chop wood for me tomorrow but I need it today. Could you come and chop would for my family. Wyatt would do it but he's been feeling poorly." Mrs. Weaver asked anxiously.

"Of course, Cody why don't you go back to Ms. Abigail?" Elena said.

Cody nodded and walked off with none of the normal spring in his step. Elenawalked with Mrs. Weaver back to the Weaver's house. As Elena chopped the wood, she prayed for Abigail to get better. When she finished, she went back to the jail. She sat there resting until evening when she went back to the hospital. The days continued about the same with Abigail getting no better for a week. IT was now the day for Elizabeth and Jack to return from their honeymoon.
