The Submerged

While the Tide normally uses its own artificial combat units on the battlefield, on rare occasions it fields units claiming to be merely those who had been embraced by the Tide and Altered in pursuit of their own mutual goals between them and the Tide's greater intelligence. These units often serve as focus points in Tide offensive strikes and serve as an insidious temptation to Imperial soldiers and citizens. As such, this document serves as a warning of the Tide's most influential "commanders".

Purilla the Flood Wytch- The first of The Submerged to fully embrace the infection. Formerly serving as a sanctioned Psyker for the Inquisition, she has proven to maintain her warp powers, raining devastation upon the battlefield. It is also theorized she has combined her former telepathic capabilities with the infamous logic plague of the Tide, as even those who escaped battles with her uninfected have showcased a tendency to sabotage their faction's war efforts, to the point of quite literally opening the front door of fortresses to Tide infection units. As such all survivors of her deployments must both be quarantined and psychoanalyzed prior to resumption of duties. Priority Primaris Alpha.

Faux-Inquisitor Ellen the Unbowed- Notably only deployed where Planetary Defense Force or Imperial Guard regiments are under duress, the former Inquisitor claims to serve as a rallying point for troops that would break otherwise. She often charges and challenges enemy commanders, forcing attention away from the troops under her protection. She does not possess any particular threat beyond an above average skill in bladed combat and MJOLNIR-pattern power armor, but instead uses raw Tide biomass to repair and replace any damage sustained against a superior foe. As such, she is constantly followed by specialized squads of purestrain combat forms to provide said biomass. Most importantly, Ellen still carries her signet ring, using it to seize command of confused Imperial troops or claim information for the Tide. Priority Primaris Beta.

Heritekspider Vidriov- The leader of those techpriests that have taken to worshiping the Tide as the Omnissiah's chosen vessel, he is deployed to secure aracheotech and template storages. Vidriov's main threat is the mass weaponization of the machine variant of the logic plague, turning Imperial, Xenos, and Chaos vehicles against their masters. Even a single touch has been capable of irreversibly corrupting any machine spirit to side with the Tide, some waiting months to even years before revealing its new alignment. He also takes special pride in convincing techpriests to infect themselves and add their sacred knowledge to the Tide. Priority Primaris Alpha.

Wavesister Aliciel the Caring- The greatest infection vector and dedicated anti-chaos agent of The Submerged. Aliciel deploys alongside anywhere from a half dozen to twenty fellow ex-SoB, many who shout prayers to the Tide as they once did the Emperor. Her preferred equipment is Tide Spore Grenades, converting vast sections of the opposition to the Tide. She claims her order is trusted with healing away the Chaos infection of cultists they convert. She also encourages Imperial citizens to embrace Tide infection, potentially turning entire worlds to rebellion. Priority Primaris Beta.

Kalak the Chained- An oddity in that he is only deployed as a potential addition to the Wavesister's retinue in battle, he serves as the Submerged's chokepoint breaker. A self proclaimed former Khornate worshiper, he marches into battle with only a mobility MJOLNIR-pattern power armor variant and chains crafted from Tide biomass. Gleefully serves as a major infection vector through both his attacks and injuries. Some report that Kalak has been killed on multiple occasions and has been replaced with purestrain units bearing his likeness instead. Priority Primaris Gamma.

An: Here's a rendition of Tide's psuedo Princes, though one part fact, one part propaganda. Hopefully it didn't seem to mean to Ellen, but I wanted to poke fun at her.
