Dueling Dinos
At Zeta Point, Dr. Z is playing a ring toss with Terry, Tank, and Spiny.
"Okay, one more time. Here goes!" He throws a ring towards Tank, but missed. "Hey, you moved your tail again! You three are a bunch of cheaters."
They walked away to the door.
"You get back here! I'm not…" His back strains again. "Nobody cares about me and my bad back."
He cries before Alpha Gang comes in with meal.
"We brought you a nice hot lunch, Dr. Z." She said.
"Oh! What did you bring me? Soup?"
"Yes, but it's a little bit too hot." She took the cover off and they blow it.
"Yeah, you don't have to do that. I'm serious! Don't!" Dr. Z protested. "You're just getting your spit into it!"
They keep blowing the soup before he snapped.
"Stop that!" He said, making them stop.
"Anything else, sir?" Zander asked.
"No! I called you in here to be my ring toss targets! That's all! Now hold still!"
He threw the rings at them.
"Wouldn't there be another job more worthy of us?" Ursula said.
"Yes, but Helga already took out the trash, so now all I need is a dinosaur card!" Dr. Z said, kicking the table, sending them flying out of his room and dropped the Alpha Scanners
"Well, look what we found." Rod and Laura took their Alpha Scanners.
"Give those back!" Ursula said.
"We'll just hang on to them for now." Laura said.
"Being the big losers you guys are, I doubt you'll get close enough to a dinosaur to use them anyway." Rod said.
The trio groaned about their failed dinosaur capture.
"One of these days, kid." Ursula grumbled.
"What are you two doing in here, when there's homework to be done." Helga said, sternly.
Rod and Laura flinched and hide the Alpha Scanners behind them.
"Hi Helga." They said, sheepishly.
"Since you have so much free time, perhaps you would like to help me clean toilets."
"Yeah! That sounds like a swell idea." Ursula beamed.
"I'm glad you think so." Helga spoked to the trio. "In fact, since you think toilet scrubbing is so entertaining, we will use your toothbrushes to scrub them with. Go get them!"
They groaned. "Yes, ma'am."

In Rod and Laura's room, they looked at the video of their parents.
"Come on, Laura!" Rod called.
"Okay! Bye mommy and daddy!" Laura waved their parent.
"You two behave yourselves at Grandpa's." Their dad said.
"Have a good time, kids." Their mom said. "We'll see you both tonight! Okay. See you later!"
"Okay. See you later!" Laura ran off to catch up to her brother.
They get on to the unknown craft.
"Goodbye kids!" They waved at them until the video ended.
"I miss them." Laura sighed.
They don't know how long they been away from their parent.
Suddenly, the lights went on and they saw Seth comes in.
"Hi Seth." Rod said, holding the Alpha Scanner. "We got these for you just like you asked."
Seth nodded. "The sooner you finish this job, the sooner you'll be able to go home."
"All we gotta do is collect all the cards, right? That won't be a problem."
"Yeah. That D-team isn't even a challenge for me and Rod." Laura said.
"I'll give you this new card to take with you. Use it if you get any trouble." Seth toss the move card to Rod, who catches it.
"Woah! A Velociraptor!" He looked at the card.
At Taylor's residence, Max and Chomp watches the western movie before Zoe, Rex, and Terran walks in.
"Oh, you're watching another western?" Zoe said.
"Nothing else good on, huh?" Rex said.
"Shh!" Max shushed them.
The movie showed the two gunslingers is walking pace away from each other.
"First one to cry out loses. Them's the rules in the wild west." He said.
"Draw!" He pulls out his gun, but the other man quickly pulls out the gun and fires him.
He suddenly drops dead on the ground.
"Oh yeah! Got the bad guy!" Max cheered while Chomp barked. "Them's the rules here in the wild west!"
He holds his Dino Holder like a gun, but Chomp snatches it away.
"Hey, Chomp. What are you doing?" Max begins chasing him as Wisp, Paris, and Ace joins in. "That's my Dino Holder!"
"I guess Chomp's not playing the rules." Rex remarked.
"I'll bet the wild west was never this wild." Zoe said.
In Oklahoma, the two men is burning something in the fire.
"Wooden rotten luck. We gotta work while the rodeo's in town."
"I do anything to be at the rodeo…" He picks the haystack with pitchfork. "Instead of here chasing cows."
As he picks the haystacks, he picks the card capsule.
"Hey! What in the world's that?"
"Just looks like an old egg. Throw it back."
He throws it back in the bonfire. The card capsule was cracked opened and glows, revealing a dinosaur called Saurophaganax. It roared, scaring the cowboys and the cattle, causing them to run before Saurophaganax turns to them as the cattle runs away from the dinosaur. Saurophaganax chased the herd of cattle.
"What was that?!" They said.
Back at Max's house, Max's Dino Holder lit up as the alarm went off.
"A dinosaur!" Max said, taking his Dino Holder. "Come on, you guys!"
Terran and the kids left the house and headed to the D-Lab.
At D-Lab, The D-Team arrives to see what was going on.
"Reese, where's it coming from?" Max said.
"Oklahoma. In the United States." She said.
"Oklahoma! The state of real cowboys! Hi-yah!" Dr. Taylor hollered while lashing his whip.
"Then I'll need a cowboy hat." Max said, snatching his dad's hat.
"Hey kids. The wild west is a dangerous place. I've seen lots of movies." He cautioned. "Keep an eye out for buffalo stampedes. Take this."
Spike tosses his whiplash to Max.
"Thanks dad."
See you later!" Zoe said before they teleported to the Oklahoma.
"They're so lucky!" Dr. Taylor said, "The Wild Wild West! All that roping and wrangling and cowboying on the wide-open range!"
"Don't forget poisonous rattlesnakes." Reese added, making him sighed.
At Oklahoma, there was a special event in the town as Terran and the kids teleported in the alleyway.
"Woah! Check it out! A real cowboy!" Max awed.
"Looks like a festival!" Zoe said.
"Well, whatever it is that's going on, these people sure don't act like they've just heard a dinosaur on the loose." Rex said as every town's people is having fun in the event.
"But where is that dinosaur?" Terran said.
At the park, the special event where they having a rodeo.
"Welcome all you cowpokes to the annual rough ride of Rodeo." The spokesman announced as the rider is riding the wild horse. "We're in the center ring and another brave cowboy is trying to stay aboard our wild bronco Firecracker!"
The group pushes through the crowd, despite Terran's insistent of finding the dinosaur.
"I don't believe it! A real life Rodeo!" Max said as the cowboy fell on the ground.
"Nice try. Now we're gonna need a new challenger!" He said, "Surely there must be one more brave cowboy out there. Huh."
"Over here!" Rod called.
"We have one!" Laura called as they ran up to him.
Max then noticed them "Huh? Hey! Look who it is!"
"Those kids from the Alpha Gang!" Zoe frowned.
"What are they doing here?" Terran said.
"We sure admire your courage little one, but you might have bit off more you can chew now." He said to the kids.
"I'm not talking about me. It's that kid in the middle over there." Rod pointed at Max.
"Huh?" They gasped. Mostly Max was surprised.
"He's the youth rodeo champion from our hometown!"
"You're saying we got a real rodeo champ in the crowd?" He said. "Who'd like to see him take on Firecracker?"
The crowd cheered and encouraging Max to compete the rodeo.
"Tell me this isn't really happening." Max said, uneased about riding a horse.
"Don't they know that you're too young to ride on the wild horse, Max?" Terran said.
"Why would you tell a lie like that?" Zoe yelled at Rod and Laura.
"Come on, Max. Don't tell me you're a chicken." Rod smirked.
"You have a pet dinosaur, but you're afraid to ride a little horsey?" Laura teased.
"No!" Max retorted. "Fine, I'll do it! You just watch me!"
"Max, wait!" Terran said.
"Don't listen to them, Max!" Zoe protested.
"We haven't found the dinosaur yet!" Rex said, "Stay here and I'll go look. Come on, Ace!"
"Wait, Rex!"
"Uh…" Terran looked at Rex and Ace go and back at Max.
Laura and Rod giggled, mischievous.
"I can't believe it work." Rod smirked.
Max is on the Firecracker as few cowboys restrained the horse.
"Are you ready Bronco Buster?"
"All set!" Max said.
Zoe and Terran walked over to Rod and Laura.
"Oh! I don't think I can watch!" Zoe said, worried.
"Hah! I bet he can last two seconds." Rod shrugged.
"I'll bet one." Laura said.
Zoe was fumed by it as Terran looked at the two kids.
"Ready? Set? Go!" The spokesman called before falling from high chair.
The cowboys let go of the horse and ran off before the Rodeo begins. Max was struggling with Firecracker as he keeps holding onto the reins.
"That's almost five seconds now! Let's see what this buckaroo can do!" He said, climbing up on the chair.
Max keeps holding the reins while Firecracker is kicking off the ground.
"That's the way! Ride him, cowboy!" The crowd cheered.
Max accidently riding the wrong ends as he grabbed the Firecracker's tail.
"Let me off! Stop!" Max shouted.
"Isn't he hanging on to the wrong end?" Zoe said.
"I think he is." Terran answered.
"Yeah, this is just great!" Laura beamed.
Chomp barked while Wisp and Paris watched.
"I'll use this!" Max pulls out the whip that his dad gave him.
When he whips, he accidently smacks the Firecracker's rear which makes it riled up and ran before jumping over the fence.
"Where are the brakes on this thing!?" Max cried as they headed to the town.
"The Bronco Buster's done busted out of the ring!" He said
"Let's go!" The cowboys went after them.
"Max!" Zoe and Terran chased after them as well with Chomp, Wisp, and Paris following them.
"This just keeps getting better!" Rod said as they following them.
Meanwhile, the Alpha Gang is riding the horses in the desert which was made cardboard and two Alpha Droids.
"Hi-yah! I told you I'd rustle us up some horses." Ursula said in cowboy tone.
"I suppose, but traveling this way makes my saddle sore." Zander said. "Couldn't we rent a car?"
Ursula kicked his head.
"Riding on horseback is how you get around in the west." She said, "Now keep your eyes peeled for any dinosaur."
"I think I see something coming!" Ed said, spotted something in the distance.
He sees Saurophaganax chasing the herd of cattles.
"It's a cattle stampede!" Zander yelped.
"Kind of makes me hungry for a steak." Ed drooled.
"If you could stop thinking about food, you'd see there's a dinosaur right behind them!" Ursula chided.
"Woah! It's a Saurophaganax!" Zander said before pulling his Alpha Scanner. "Alpha Slash!" He slashed the card.
Spiny was summoned in full-size Spinosaurus.
Spiny appeared and roared at the Saurophaganax.
Rex and Ace were on the watch tower as he noticed the battlefield.
"I found the dinosaur!" Rex yelled.
Spiny charges through the cattle and rams Saurophaganax, but it bites his neck and tosses him away.
The Alpha Gang gasped at the battle.
"Spiny, get back in there!" Ursula ordered while Ed and Zander whined. "Come on, finish him off."
Spiny charges again, but Saurophaganax ducks out of the way, and as Spiny turns, skidding to a stop, it rams and sends him flying again. Saurophaganax gathers the flames in its jaws as he rears his head up and shoots a beam of fire and lava from its jaws, hitting Spiny as he skids across the ground before turning back into a card, defeating him.
"That was new!" Ursula said, widened her eyes in shock.
"What was that move?" Zander asked.
"Magma Blaster!" Ed said,
Zander retrieves Spiny's card with the claw.
"We'll have to try something else." He said before Saurophaganax is in front of them.
They panicked. "LIKE ESCAPING!"
Before they escape, Saurophaganax swings its tail on them, knocking them away to the sky.
In town, everyone panicked as Max is still holding on to the horse.
"Help!" Max yelled as the cowboys lassoed the horse but missed. "Woah! Slow down!"
"Max, what are you doing? Jump off!" Rex yelled.
"How am I supposed to know that?"
The horse suddenly stopped and throws Max to the ground. As he recovers, Max sees the smoke ahead of him and sees the cattle stampede running right towards him. He panics and quickly took cover in the alleyway.
"A herd of cattle! Wonder what they're running from." He wondered.
He got his answered when he heard a roar and saw Saurophaganax chasing them.
"It's a dinosaur!"
The townspeople took cover from cattle stampede as Saurophaganax runs by them as it continues to chase the herd of cattle.
"Man, I'm sore." He rubbed his rear from riding a horse.
"You're okay, Max?" Rex said, showed up as Zoe and Terran.
"What was that? An Allosaurus?" Zoe asked.
"It's bigger than Allosaurus. I think it might have been a Saurophaganax!"
"Well, if it isn't the rodeo champion?" Rod said as he and his sister shows up.
"You won't win many competitions that that way." She smirked.
"You two kids again." The android said.
"Yeah, well. I'll get you back for…" Max retorted but his rear is aching.
"Sorry, we've gotta run. We have a dinosaur to catch." Rod said. "After all, we plan to round all fifty-one of the cards in the collection so we should get to it."
"There's fifty-one of them?" Rex questioned.
"Wait, how do w do know there are fifty-one dinosaur cards all together?" Zoe said.
"Oh, I guess only the real experts know that." Laura shrugged.
"Yeah. Bye!" Rod waved as they walked away. "By the way, nice to see you again, Terran."
Terran tensed when the boy said his name.
"Hey! Hold on!" Max said while Zoe fumed before realizing someone is missing. "Hey, where's Chomp?"
"I haven't seen him in the while." Rex said, looking around.
"Yeah, now that you mentioned it." Zoe said.
"Hey, Chomp!" Max called.
Somewhere in town, Saurophaganax wanders in town as Chomp appears on top of building before jumping on the dinosaur.
Elsewhere, The Alpha Gang wandered in the plain after they recover from the fight with Saurophaganax.
"I can't believe we lost that battle." Ursula groaned.
"Yeah, let's go get a steak." Ed said, feeling hungry.
As they walked, they came across a dance in the ranch.
"Ursula, what do you think's going on here?" Zander asked.
"Huh! Of course! We're in Oklahoma and its famous for square dancing!" She beamed. "Oh! Swing your partner round and round, but not too fast, you'll hit the ground! Yeehaw!"
The cowboy came across them.
"Ma'am, might I have the honor of a dance with you?" He asked her, sporting his smile.
"Oh, me? Yes!" She took his hand to dance. "Of course, you boys should dance too."
"Oh, I would." Zander said, twiddling his fingers. "I'd love to, but I haven't dance since high school. Too bad!"
"Me either!" Ed said, scratching his head, sheepishly. "Darn!"
"Oh, come on, city slickers! If you can count to four, you can count to dance, right?" She said while dancing with her partner.
"All right. We can try it." Zander said.
Zander and Ed joins in to dance.
"Wow! I've forgotten just how much fun dancing can be!" He said. "I used to love it until Deborah stood me up at the prom!"
"I took her!" Ed admitted.
It wasn't until they realized as Ed and Zander held their hands together by mistake.
"She said she had to take care of aunt Edna!" Zander exclaimed.
"Only Deborah can call me that!" Ed retorted.
"Dance somewhere else if you're gonna fight!" Usrula chided as she kicked them.
"If it makes you feel better, she walked out on me halfway through." Ed said as they danced.
"Actually, that doesn't make me feel better." Zander admitted.
"Yeah, me either."
They sobbed.
From the town, the herd of cattle is running through the street and headed right to them, scaring the locals away.
"Is that the same herd of cattle?" Ursula asked.
"If it is, then you know what that means!" Ed said, remembered the herd.
"The dinosaur's back!" Zander said.
Saurophaagnax tries to get Chomp off of him, Chomp keeps holding on to it until Terran and kids found them.
"Chomp, what do you think you're doing?" Max said.
"I think he's copying what he saw you do, Max." Zoe said, realized what Chomp is doing.
"What? Like at the rodeo?"
"But why is Saurophaganax going after that herd?" Rex wondered.
"Maybe it thinks it's a cow too."
"Or it must've gotten hungry and wanted to eat them." Terran guessed until the dinosaur throws Chomp off.
Max managed to catch Chomp in time. "No more bronco busting for you, okay?"
"Kids, The Saurophaganax is getting away!" Terran said, saw the dinosaur is moving fast.
"Let's go!"
They followed the dinosaur as Saurophaganax is approaching where the Alpha Gang is.
"There it is all right. Now what?" Zander said.
"What do you think? We get Terry out here and we catch the dinosaur!" Ursula said.
"We don't have Terry!"
"All right then, call Tank!" She spoked to Ed.
"Don't have Tank!" He said.
"Rod and Laura took them, don't you remember, huh?" Zander mentioned.
Ursula growled. "Then summon Spiny again!"
"No Ursula!"
"He's worn out from the last fight, he can't move!" Ed said, making her fumed by this.
"Just once, can't something go right?" She said.
"Not when you're so good at being wrong." They see Rod and Laura.
"Argh!" Ursula snarled.
"What are you doing here?" Ed asked, not expecting them to be here.
"Well, someone had to come and get grandpa's dinosaur." Laura smirked.
Ursula growled. "That's what we're doing, so why don't you just go back to your room?" She pulls out the lasso. "Stand back while I catch him!"
She instead lassoed the cattle in the herd.
"Uh-oh!" She was yanked as Zander and Ed hold on to her.
"Hey look! It's the old lady!" Zoe noted as they ran.
"I heard that! I'm not old!"
The Alpha Gang was dragged along to the herd as Saurophaganax chases them.
"There's no way I'm gonna let them get away with that Saurophaganax!" Max said, holding the Dino Holder.
"Hold on, cowboy." Rod stopped him. "We both want that dinosaur and we're in the wild west, why don't you and me settle one-on-one with a dinosaur showdown, huh?"
"Showdown?" They said.
"You can't be serious." Terran said.
"Yeah, do it! Showdown! Showdown! Showdown!" Laura beamed.
"What are you talking about?" Zoe questioned.
"We don't have time for games!" Rex said.
"If you're not up to it, then I'll just take the dinosaur." He said.
"Not if I say about it." Terran countered, holding his wrist controls.
"Stop!" Max said, stopping them. "I'll tangle with you, Rod!"
"What?!" His friends said, shocked.
"Max, you cannot be serious about this." Terran said.
"Let's do this! It's showdown time!" Max said, ignoring him before walking to the town.
"He's been watching too many westerns." Rex sighed.
"Yep." Zoe moaned.
Rod and Laura stifled their laughed. "We got him good." He said.
Terran looked at two kids, wondering what they're up to.
A few minutes later, Terran and kids stood by the building while Max and Chomp is standing in the streets before Saurophaganax shows up to them and roared..
"Now! First one to cry out loses!" Max turns chomp into cards and shots it to his hand. "Dino Slash!" Max slashed the card on his Dino Holder. "Go Triceratops, Roar!"
Chomp was summoned in full-size Triceratops.
The two dueling dinosaurs turn away as the battlefield takes place.
"Wow! This is just like being in a real life western!" Laura beamed.
"And now the face off!" Rod added.
The two dinosaur takes ten paces away from each other.
"Are you feeling lucky, Saurophaganax?" Max said to the dinosaur. "Wherever your ready! Draw!"
Chomp roared too early, starting the showdown.
"Wait a minute! Thy should draw first!"
Saurophaganax turned to Chomp.
"Now!" Rex yelled as a signal.
"Here we go!" Max pops open his Dino Holder and catch the move card. "Lightning Strike!" He activated the move card.
Chomp roared and fires the lightning from his horn as Saurophaganax fires its Magma Blaster at him.
"Oh wow!" Rod awed.
Their attacks grazed each other before Chomp collapsed as the kids gasped.
"Looks like Saurophaganax never missed." Terran remarked.
"Get up!" Max said to Chomp.
Chomp gets up in time to hold a charging Saurophaganax back, but the dinosaur breaks the hold and slap his face with tail.
"He can't take much more of this!" Zoe said, concerned.
"Come on, Chomp! Do it!"
Saurophaganax hits Chomp with its tail several times before Chomp knocks it away.
"That's the way!" Max said as the Saurophaganax recovers.
"I think we've worn down enough." Rod said as he and his sister comes out with Alpha Scanner.
"Then it's time!" She said.
"Alpha Slash!" They slashed the card and summoned Terry and Tank in full sized T-Rex and Saichania.
"Blaze, Tyannosaurus!" Rod said.
"Go, Saichania! Shake them up!" Laura said.
Terry and Tank landed in battle.
"Attack, Terry!"
"Smash him, Tank!"
The two Alpha dinosaur knocked Saurophaganax down.
"I get it!" Rex realized while glaring at them. "All this time you were just weakening Saurophaganax so you could finish him off!"
"Wasn't it obvious? About time!" Rod shrugged.
"You're little too slow!" Laura said.
Rex growled. "Let's help Chomp out!" He turned Ace into a card and shot to his hand. "Dino Slash!" Rex swipes the card on his holder. "Carnotaurus, Blow them away!" Ace is summoned in full-sized Carnotaurus.
"Dino Slash!" Zoe swipes the card on her holder. "Go Parasaurolophus, Bloom!" Paris is summoned in full-sized Parasaurolophus.
"Dino Slash!" Terran swipe the card to his controller. "Brachiosaurus, Shine your way!" Wisp is summoned in full-sized Brachiosaurus.
Rex pops open his Dino Holder and activates the move card. "Let's go, Cyclone!"
"Metal Wing!" Zoe activates the move card.
"Melody Screech!" Terran activates the move card attack.
"Now, Velociraptor!" Laura shouted.
"Critical Block!" Rod slashed the new move card.
The trio of Velociraptors appeared and blocked Wisp, Paris, and Ace's attacks before they used it.
"Those Velociraptors again!" Terran said, remembered them.
"They've blocked our move cards!" Zoe said.
"Terry, finish them off with Volcano Burst!" Rod slashed the move card.
Terry fires the Volcano Burst from its jaws, burning Saurophaganax and defeating it as it turns back into cards.
"Those cards are mine!" Max said, running to get the cards.
Terran ran to after the cards as well, but Rod and Laura snapped their fingers, calling their hover scooters and hop on.
"Oh yeah!" They rode on it to get the cards.
"No, they're not!" Laura teased.
"They're ours!" Rod said as they dashed away passed Terran and Max.
"Oh no you don't!" Terran shot his grappling hand towards the Saurophaganax's cards.
Before he gets to them, Rod and Laura snatches them quickly before he gets to them.
"Hey!" He shouted.
"Sorry, old friend! It's nothing personal!" Rod said to the android.
"At least we get to see you again, Terran!" Laura waved at him.
Terran retract his hand back as the Velociraptors vanished back to Rod's hand.
"We're lucky Seth gave us this new card!" He said as Terry and Tank was called back to Rod and Laura, who turned them back to cards.
They headed in the alleyway and into the Alpha jet and took off in the air.
"Later, losers!" They waved.
"Hey, come back!" Zoe shouted as they blasted away to Zeta Point.
Terran and the kids turned their dinosaurs back into cards and back to their chibi forms.
"Darn it! I almost had the cards!" Terran said.
"And they got Saurophaganax!" Max said. "How did we ever let that happen?"
They then glared at Max.
"You let that happen, Max!" Rex snapped.
"Yeah! They wouldn't have if you didn't let those two tricked you into that silly showdown!" Zoe berated him.
"Well, we did find out that there are fifty-one dinosaur cards and I found out I can't ride a bucking bronco, so the day wasn't total loss!" Max said, twiddled his fingers.
"That's your excuse?!" Terran said. "Besides, this cowboy thing is getting the best of you and cost us that card."
"Yeah, Now the Alpha Gang has the card, they're likely to try all the kinds of weird experiments and modifications on that poor Saurophaganax and you know it!" Rex said.
"We might have been able to save dinosaur, you know!" Zoe scolded.
"There's no doubt they'll do the same thing like the Velociraptors!" Terran added.
Max shrunk down in shame until he beamed.
"Right! We will save it!"
Terran sighed while shook his head.
Back at Zeta Point, Rod and Laura returns and gave Seth the dinosaur card and a move card.
"Both the dinosaur and the Magma Blaster card. Very good." He congratulated them. "Before long we return to where we came from."
"You mean we'll get to see our mom and dad?" Laura said. "Oh, I can't wait!"
"We had a blast carrying out this assignment." Rod said. "Can we do another one?"

In the desert, the Alpha Gang gets dragged by the herd of cattle as they hold on to the ropes.
"This isn't a very safe way to travel." Ed said.
"If you feel safe for calling Dr. Z, then be my guest." Urusla said.
"Something feels strange about the rope I'm holding." Zander said, realizing he's holding a rattlesnake.
He shrieked as the snake hissed him, making him let go.
"That does it. I'm done with the wild west! Come back! I don't want to be a cowboy! Wait for me!"
Zander gets up and catches up to Ursula and Ed towards where the sun sets.
