CHAPTER 10

Twilight scrambled to the location where the WaterWing queen stood awaiting her. "Anything that I should know about it before it's installed?" Queen Reef asked.

"Yes, I will be the one installing it your majesty," Twilight answered, getting a confused look from the WaterWing queen.

"Pardon?" she said, raising a claw to signal to Twilight that she should elaborate.

"I've built a device that will allow me to safely apply the barrier to the palace, it also allows me to communicate with you whilst we are submerged," Twilight explained.

Queen Reef tilted her head at the PearlWing. "May I see this device?" she asked.

"Of course, your majesty, right away," Twilight said, putting down the rods and removing the helmet from her head to show Queen Reef.

"Hm, fascinating," she commented.

Twilight placed the helmet back onto her head and felt it fuse to her scales and then picked the rods back up.

"Very well then, we should get moving," Queen Reef said, diving into the passages to the Water Halls and appearing on the other side.

Come on! A chance to get rid of the sharks should not be wasted! Queen Reef said in Aquatic.

Twilight dived into the Water Halls and followed Queen Reef outside the palace where she abruptly stopped.

"Is this where we begin to craft the barrier? Not on the corner?" she asked.

That note is acknowledged. Queen Reef flashed, swimming to the corner of the palace and stopping again.

Twilight swam to the crust and buried the first rod in the sand, making sure that it stood straight.

"Where to next?" Twilight asked.

The next corner. Queen Reef said while swimming to the right and to the next corner of the palace.

Twilight repeated the same action three times; swim, place rod and keep swimming. And when she was done, she could see a faint glowing wall, this barrier would either kill the sharks, or it would simply deny them to cross.

So, the barrier is finished? Queen Reef asked.

"We still have to kill the sharks on the inside, but yes, it's finished," Twilight said.

The two of them swam back to where she previously saw the sharks, the vicious sea creatures were still fighting like their lives depended on it.

Queen Reef! We need your assistance; we cannot keep fighting for much longer before our strength is spent! One of the warriors cried.

Twilight, would you mind lending a talon? the queen asked.

"Of course, I would love to help," Twilight said, slowly approaching the sharks.

Teleport these sharks fifty miles west. She commanded, and the sharks immediately disappeared into thin air... or water.

WaterWings began to cheer for Twilight; the PearlWing who got rid of the kingdom's greatest three-week enemy.

A small flash appeared on the palace walls, Twilight looked up and saw nothing, just water and eventually sky.

The sharks were no longer a problem, Twilight returned to her room and crashed onto the soft bed of moss and fell asleep.

It felt like Deja vu, but Twilight hadn't actually experienced these events before.

"We will live full lives together, and nothing will prevent it, we will find a way."

What was that? Did I say that? I don't remember it...

Blue... Blue IceWing blood... Why?

Hysterical laughing in an ice cavern...

A scarred SkyWing, who was that?

"Twilight of the PearlWings, you are under arrest." Cold chains, cold voice...

"Twilight? Where are you?" A distant voice, worried, scared...

"I am two thousand years old! How does a little dragon like you expect to defeat me?" NightWing giant, who is he?

"I find that I can, as I am holding the scrap, and you are not." There was that SkyWing again...

"You'll never let my father get you, in the end, we will be the winners." She remembered that, but where?

"Where is she?!" A ragged voice, IceWing, who was that?

"I don't enjoy doing this." Her voice?

"All but two are gone, what does that mean?" A young NightWing?

Ice melting...

A twisted crown...

A feeling, insanity and... boredom?

What was this? A dream? No. It felt more like a vision, but she wasn't a FlareWing or NightWing, perhaps a fever dream? Yes, that's what it was.

"Third time is the charm, isn't it?" That was the large NightWing again.

"Dragon of chaos, tangling the webs, too many eyes and too many threads." A prophecy? But it spoke of just one dragon, it couldn't be a prophecy, maybe a warning.

Jade... Jade what?

Too many thoughts... too many voices!

Circles, circles, CIRCLES! Repeating themselves over and over again, they don't stop!

TOO MANY THOUGHTS, TOO MANY VOICES!

GETTING FASTER AND FASTER!

MAKE IT STOP!

WAKE UP!

Twilight opened her eyes, there was the calming darkness, and that strange PearlWing again.

"Hello?" she asked.

"Oh, thank the moons, I thought I lost you," he sighed with relief.

"Who are you?" she asked.

"Hmm, I suppose you've never actually seen me, just heard me, does the verse: 'his body was found about a week later in WindWing territory, mangled, blood spilling at least two dragons wide, bones sticking out in awkward places, and burned nearly beyond recognition. His wings were torn apart, and there was a scar on his snout that had not been there when he abandoned his tribe.' ring a bell?" he asked.

"Eclipse?" Twilight asked.

"That's me, you're a smart dragon Twilight," he said.

"Wh-... Where am I?" Twilight asked.

"Your mind is currently in The Gianim, just like mine," Eclipse said.

"And my body is still in the moss bed?" Twilight guessed.

"Your body rolled out of the bed," Eclipse said.

"Oh..."

"I pulled you out of your nightmare... You weren't even supposed to have it in the first place," Eclipse said.

"What? What do you mean I wasn't supposed to have that nightmare?" Twilight asked.

"When dreams mix with Animus magic, things can get weird, but very rarely," Eclipse explained. "It's already incredibly rare for a PearlWing to get that, around one in a million, and it only even happens once."

"So... What now?" Twilight asked.

"Now.. Now you go back to the Water Kingdom, I have a feeling that you'll be needed quite soon," Eclipse said with a smile, and everything around her morphed into her room in the Deep Sea Palace.

Muffled wingbeats way above her, dragons were approaching, but who?

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Wow... 1: That was fast, it only took like 4 days to get the next chapter out this time.

2: A strange dream sequence, ;3 I knew exactly what I was doing... It wasn't just goofing off.

What an experience huh? LOL, I was motivated a lot this time, and the sharks are gone, so that's always good, but who are the approaching dragons? Find out in the next chapter!

Announcement reminder: OK, so here's the gist, there will be something called the TPL Special in which there will be credits for fan characters, fun facts and a Q&A between you (the readers, and me.
