Potter Manor
—
"I trust you to keep my home clean and safe while I'm gone Azazel." Charlus said, looking around the grand hall to his family's ancestral home. It has come to his attention that the manor didn't feel quite right with only himself and the house elves residing in it. The manor was too quiet without his heir and their American relative. Their usual occupants didn't really make much noise when they went about their days but their presence was still noticeable to the Potter Head.
So after the trial and finalizing the paperwork he had left and securing the Potter Tome and locked away, he made the plan of moving into the Black Manor with his Brother in Law until Hadrian returned home for his continued education. Now with the day finally here, Charlus couldn't deny that he was going to miss the place.
"Of course, myself and the other elves are ready to tend to this house as always." The little elf said as he shook his head positively. He looked to the head elf and placed his cap on his head. "Before you leave Master Charlus. I must ask, will it be possible for you to take Mikael with you? As a personal assistant while you are gone?"
Charlus was honestly a little surprised he forgot about the child of both Athena and his own family's elf. But that could be understood when he remembered the young elf child's personality. After some thought the Potter Head nodded his confirmation.
"I'll take the little one with me." He said, looking to the elf's father. "I'll train him to be a personal house elf and it'd be a good experience for him." Azazel nodded to his suggestion and placed a hand onto the tiny creature's shoulder and gave it a squeeze. "Well Azazel I shall be off, I trust you will take care of the manor, and know that if anything ill-fated has happened you and the others are welcome to come to me or even ask me to return."
He gave the elf one last firm squeeze and with a wave of his wand the suitcases that held his possessions vanished. Releasing his hold on the elf's shoulder he gave the manor's grand hall,f his home one last look. He watched as some of the portraits gave him waves and as some of the armor stands did the same, giving a farewell to the master of the manor. With one final glance around the room, and sense of his magic the Potter Lord left, leaving his ancestors' home in the willing and hardworking hands of the Family House Elves.

Black Manor
—
It has been a week since the trial of Sirius Orion Black, and freedom really seemed to suit him. His face showed more fat and color, his body was also beginning to fill in the clothes he wore, and they were no longer as baggy or loose as a week prior today. Sirius also spent the time between his trial and today catching up with the Brother he thought long-lost to his blood-purist parents.
But thankfully, to his great relief, Regulus only stayed at that cursed home because he was listening to Lord Black's orders. It seems that while Regulus was staying at Grimmauld Place and joining those Death Eater Cocksuckers was to be a spy for Lord Arcturus Black, and the reason why no one knew was because this information was hidden behind a secret Black family spell. One that placed an extra layer, an extremely powerful and highly effective shield, on his mind's shield. When this was first revealed to Sirius, he wasn't happy in the slightest, the old man was putting his only flesh and blood in danger because he wanted information.
However, he was stopped from doing anything to his grandfather when Regulus revealed what he learned and what he said sent chills down all the present Blacks. The Snake Fucker had done the most vile and disgusting thing a wizard could do to their souls and themselves. Voldemort created a Horcrux, possibly even more than one if what his brother was speculating turned out to be true.
That conversation was done a while ago and today was the dreaded talk about the future of their House. It seems that the worst had happened, Sirius had spent too long in Azkaban and the effects had happened, he was unable to produce a heir and with Regulus being as damaged as he was, it was highly likely that the second son of House Black was in the same boat as Sirius. In short, the Most Noble and Most Ancient House of Black was endangered, with no one able to produce a child, the family was going to be a name in the history books.
So sitting in the Lord's Solar were all three Black males, Lord Arcturus was sitting in his chair with his face in his hands, while both Sirius and Regulus sat on the black leather couch in the room. However they weren't alone for in the solar with them were both Lady Narcissa Black formerly Malfoy, and Andromeda, both were summoned to the Manor because they should be apart of the talk they were about to have and to know what's happening to their family, they both sat across from both Regulus and Sirius. However there was another in the room with them, Lord Charlus Potter, who was sitting in a chair to the side.
After over 20 minutes of silence amongst them, Andy finally grew tired of it, which was no shock to Sirius honestly. "So what are we going to do? Moop around with our hands on our dick and pussy while thinking of something?" Immediately chuckles, coming from himself, Regulus and to his surprise Charlus as well, and horrified noises, mainly from Cissy, filled the room. "No. So let's hear the ideas."
Sirius opened his mouth to give one of his own, but before he could the former Malfoy spoke up. "Give the heirship to my son." She said looking to the still silent Black Lord. "You have been totouring him for months now and he's young, fertile and has potential for success." Sirius watched as the younger sister nodded to this suggestion.
Finally breaking his silence, Arcturus took his head out of his hands and looked to them, all the present Black children looking to him. "No." The aged wizard said plainly as stormy gray looked into younger eyes. "Lucius would do anything to take his son back if he learnt that Draco has been given the Heirship of our house." Sirius nodded in agreement as he looked to his cousin, and watched as she went to speak, probably going to say that she wouldn't allow the blonde git to do such a thing or how would he have known. "Cissy, I do not doubt your judgment or powers, but your son is his son. Draco carries the Malfoy name and is Lord Malfoy's heir. So Young Draco is not an option, and I'm sad that he isn't but I will not allow a man such as Lucius to have a claim to our wealth."
Cissy stayed quiet for a good minute before deflating with a sigh. Sirius went to give his idea once more, and just as last time he was interrupted but this time it was Andy who spoke up. "My daughter, Nymphadora, can be trained and taught to take your seat Grandfather." The man looked to her and gave her a wave to continue. "Ever since she could walk, talk and think coherent thoughts, I've been training her to protect her mind, and after 5-6 years she has shown immense strength and resilience to stop any invasion." A frown appeared on his cousin's face and Sirius could already see the face of the man that could have angered her. "Nymphadora also has great control on her emotions, feelings and facial expressions. Yes she might seem to be over-energized and hyperactive, but that's because she has little chance to be herself. Already at Hogwarts she has been bullied because of her abilities and no one wants to be her friend, so when she's at Hogwarts she has to show some control over herself."
Hearing this filled Sirius and mostly everyone in this room with anger, knowing that a distant daughter of House Black was being bullied and humiliated. 'How far has Dumbledore gone and destroyed Hogwarts with his ideology?' He asked himself as he remembered what the man said to Lily and James, and how he would keep them safe but when they needed him most the fool wasn't there and not only that, but the great man he once believed in, placed his godson, Lily and James only child, with those shit eating muggles. There was a reason they were not a part of the will on possible places for Harry to go. Unknown to him was that magic was emitting from him, causing eyes to go to him with interest and worry.
Feeling those eyes, he regained control of himself and apologized, which then led to Arcturus speaking, saying what he thought about making Andy's daughter his heiress. "That would be a wonderful idea Andy." The woman nodded and gave a smile, but before she could say anything the Black Lord spoke up once more. "Any other candidate or ideas?"
Silence followed and after a few minutes Sirius smiled, finally being able to let his thoughts out. However just as he was going to speak, another voice spoke up but this was from the guest in the room. "Why not your sister?" Turning to the speaker, everyone stared at the Potter Lord, who had a grin on his aged face.
"Absolutely not!" Everyone, minus his fellow Lord, flinched when Arcturus shot to his feet, slamming his hand onto his desk and yelling. Sirius turned to his grandfather, so did the others and for the first time in their lifetime they saw fear in the Black Lord's eyes. "That woman would be an even bigger threat to the family than Lucius. No, Cassiopeia will not take my place as Head of the Family, I'd rather kill the bitch before she takes claim to this seat."
—
Elsewhere in the wizarding side of a French City of Bordeaux, a Witch who looked to be in her 30s but in actuality was in her early nineties, sneezed as she read a book of deadly potions. Recovering bright amethyst eyes glared at the wall across from her. A sadistic smile formed on her face as she realized what had happened. "Oh that Brat will rue the day he said those words." She said in perfect English as she closed the book she was reading and got to her feet. "Arty, you should have never mentioned my name." The witch finished as an evil cackle was let out as she entered her room. She closed the door and the laughter only grew as smoke started leaking out of the bottom of the door.
—
Sirius was able to say what he wanted and already he felt the amber glare on the side of his head, and he fought every fiber and part of his being to avoid looking in the man's direction. His stormy eyes stayed on his grandfather, who was looking at him with slightly raised eyes. However the aged wizard wasn't the only one who was looking at him with surprise and curiosity, so it was the other members of his family.
"Harry? Harry Potter?" Regulus asked and all the older brother could do was nod, knowing that if he looked in his brother's direction he would come face to face with his great granduncle. "He does share blood with our family, mainly from Grandaunt Dorea, so he could be a candidate. But isn't he too far off? Draco and Nymphadora hold a better claim to the title than the Boy Wonder."
Silence reigned the room, and Sirius couldn't help but finally look in the Potter Lord's direction. The man didn't look happy at all, his wise amber eyes looking at him with a glare, which the Black Heir understood why Charlus was looking at him as such. His godson was the Heir and future Lord of House Potter, so seeing another title and house thrown onto his descendant's shoulder, one could find all the faults and flaws in the idea.
First was that House Black has always threaded the line of sadistic levels of Dark, while House Potter, varying by who's leading the family, has always stayed in the neutral Gray or Light. Not only that but the Potter Family power, already ran thick throughout all of Britain, and with putting the power House Black onto the Potter Heir's shoulder, would double everything else. So Sirius understood why his grand uncle wasn't happy with his idea.
The silence was finally broken when the Lord of the Manor spoke. "Andy Dear, I'm sorry but I'm going to go through with Sir-." Before the man could finish, two of many things happened. The first was a pulse of angry magic coming from the corner of the room.
This made everyone look to the Potter Lord and the combined Black Family, minus the Black Lord, shivered as the man's eyes were hidden behind his bird nest hair, only allowing them to see a slight glow of amber from where they would be. When Charlus finally spoke, his voice was emotionless and cold, sending shivers down Sirius' back and making an audible gulp from the current Black Heir.
"No." The man said as he stood up, "you will not include my great grandson and heir into your family skems." Sirius watched as 'The' Lord Potter stopped before his grandfather's desk, the aged wizard's magic still emitting from his body. "And if I learn that he was named Black Heir, behind my back, I'll hunt you down and remove that head from your body."
The Black descendants watched as the two Lords had a stare down with each of them holding in hitched breaths. And for the former Azkaban inmate, he had a sense of dread that he caused this. He brought up the idea, knowing that his grand uncle wouldn't like this suggestion. Sirius released a silent sigh and went to stand, hoping that Lord Potter would accept his apology for making such a suggestion.
"Sirius." His Grandfather called out, gaining the current heir's attention. "Don't stand up and apologize. You did nothing wrong but suggest a suitable candidate." He looked to the head of his family and saw that Arcturus was being serious. Nodding slowly he looked to the other Blacks and saw that they were all shaking.
"Charlus." The Black Lord continued as he stood up from his chair. "I will not deny that young Hadrian is your Heir and you are the head of the Family. But what's happening here is exactly what you did when you thought there was no sign of Hadrian, and went to Lady Longbottom in hopes Young Neville could also carry the Potter title. However the difference between our situations is that Hadrian's blood ties come from my sister, your wife, while the Longbottom's Heir blood ties come from 6 generations before ours."
Arcturus stood from his chair and walked around the desk that stood between him and his brother in law, his eyes never leaving his fellow lord. Stopping in front of the man he'd call brother any day of the week, he looked into amber eyes and saw that Charlus was furious, the anger in them very much pronounced with an emerald flame. However Arcturus also saw fear and worry behind the flames of anger, and the Black Lord could imagine why.
Placing a hand on the Potter Lord's shoulder and said, "Charlus, Brother, I was never going to go behind your back and make Hadrian the Black Heir, and the fact that you think I'd go that low is quite humiliating." With those words the flames of anger diminished but a fraction and he gave a small smile. "I know he's important to you and your family, being the only person who could take title as Heir and future Lord. But right now, Hadrian is one of the only people who can and could help House Black. So consider what you hear today and think about it."
Arcturus gave a small prayer to Magic herself in hopes that his fellow lord would consider the thought. However what came next proved that his prayer wasn't answered, as the magic of the man opposite him flared with more anger and rage. "I did consider it, when I sat amongst the Lords and Ladies of the Wizengamont when you first spoke of the possibility of Sirius being sterile, I considered my grandson as the future heir of Dorea's family." When Charlus spoke his voice still showed the fact that he was still using occlumency to hide his emotions from his voice. "But I will not allow it. Hadrian doesn't only hold the Potter name but the possibility of bringing back the Peverell Family."
At this the Lord of House Black was struck silent by the reveal, realizing that he forgot the fact that the Potter Family had the potential to bring back the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Peverell. Arcturus' mind thought of how the boy of their topic could be connected, and the only thing he got was to ask his brother in law what he meant, and he was pretty sure he wasn't the only one.
"When Iolanthe Peverell married Hardwin Potter, she not only told him about the tradition of passing down the Cloak, but also a prophecy that foretold about the return of her family, in a child who will survive death three times and who's magic is more alike the Peverell Family's magic." Charlus answered his unasked question and he was thankful for the reveal, and it was obvious as to why Hadrian might be the child spoken of.
Nodding Arcturus understood why Charlus didn't want to put the Potter Child into the position that could give him a second title of the head of another Most Ancient and Most Noble family. However, if the Black Lord were to be honest, he wanted young Hadrian as his heir. Looking at his brother in all but blood he said. "I understand why you do not wish for Hadrian to take up the Black name. However I don't see any other capable person who would fit the seat I currently hold. So I would like for us to sit down together and talk and discuss a possible way to find a way around this."
He watched and waited for the Potter's response, and when it came Arcturus felt a weight leave his shoulders. With a simple nod from the Lord opposite him, the Head of the Black family looked to his once exiled Granddaughter and went to tell Andromeda that her daughter wasn't out of plan, but before he could the Tonks Family Matriarch spoke up.
"Grandfather, I am for one agreeing with my cousin here. I've met the boy myself and in the small interactions I've had, I can say that he is the best candidate for Heir of the family." The aged wizard allowed a friction of a smile to appear, happy to see she agreed to him. After nodding to him, Andromeda looked to his fellow lord who was now sitting in his seat against the wall, with his eyes and face in a palm. "Lord Charlus… Uncle," with the latter title spoken, everyone watched the aged wizard flinch. "I know it won't mean much or change your opinion, but if it helps I'm putting forward a proposal for a betrothal contract between my daughter and your heir."
This sent the room into a shocked silence, everyone including the Potter Lord was looking at the youngest of the Black Sisters, with widened eyes and a grinning smile on one Arcturus Black. 'Brilliant!' Turning his gaze to Charlus, the Black Lord immediately saw that his fellow lord was thinking of the offer. "Charlus, think of the offer Andromeda is giving you, you don't have to give a response immediately but this contract would help us both."
Sirius watched as his uncle thought about what his grandfather and cousin said and when the aged wizard nodded. He felt himself filled with relief knowing that his suggestion wasn't going to go down the drain, and because he could finally do something for his Godson. Soon after, the Potter Lord, allowing the Black Family to continue their family business.
When the family meeting was over, everyone left the Lord's solar, to go about their days, Cissa going to dote over her son, Andy going back to her family, while Regulus went to the family library, and Lord Black to start signing papers. For Sirius he went to the manor's training room, with a temporary wand in hand, and as the former convict trained only one thought was going through his mind. 'I won't let you down again… never again, Prongslet.'
