Nexus HWR 18.4 Sylar:

"What the," Natsu muttered as three people went rushing past him. He frowned and kept walking down the hall, then he turned his head and curled his lip in frustration and confusion as he saw three women, one with a kid in her arms, go running down a hallway back there. "What is everyone panicking about?" He said aloud, before continuing his "patrol" of the halls, which was really him just walking around bored. "I'm here, so even though Alpha Squad's…"

"EEEEAAAAHH!" A woman's screech tore down the halls to Natsu who spun around and stared back with huge eyes. He started sprinting the direction the scream came from, and he cut left down the hall the same time that Usopp and Sara were coming running from the other direction of that hallway he cut onto.

"What's going on?" Natsu asked, but Sara shook her head to show she had no idea.

The three of them ran down the hall towards where Natsu saw two of the women he saw earlier backing up. The one with the baby in her arms spun and started running their direction, a look of sheer panic on her face. Sara ran up to the third of the women who was still at the next corner, and she started before she even got to her, "Brienne, what's-" Sara's voice caught in her throat as she finally got into the hallway. Usopp and Natsu got into the corner too, and all four of them stared down the hallway in silence.

Usopp's face turned blue and he took a step backwards. "Wh-wh-wh-wh…" he could not even get a single 'what' out of his mouth. At the end of the hallway they were looking down, other guards started rushing out of intersections only to stop just like they had. A couple of guards one intersection down put their hands on their heads and raked them through their hair. Three women at the end of the hall opposite where Natsu stood got terrified looks on their faces, and Octavia and Bellamy Blake pushed past them to get to the front so they could see what had their fellow guards so spooked.

"That's not good," a voice said on Usopp's right. He turned to see Leonard Snart had approached and was looking around Sara's head into the hall past them.

"Huh," Mick Rory muttered, the only response he had as he stared down where Snart was looking too.

On the other end of the hall, Bellamy took a step forward, then looked down as he heard a squish. He lifted back up his right foot, and grimaced at the bloody imprint of his shoe on the floor. He lifted back up his gaze and said softly, "How did no one hear this happening?"

In the hallway were five dead bodies, or at least most people who were looking in the hall thought it was only five. Then again, with the amount of limbs thrown around the place, it was hard to tell. Natsu started walking down the hallway, ignoring the squishes beneath his feet with every step. He looked down to his right at the body of a man slumped with his back against the wall, his head bowed and blood still dripping from his eye sockets. Natsu turned left as he continued to walk, looking through a hole in the wall where the bottom half of a woman was sticking out of, but on the other side he did not see the top half of that woman's body. Something wet hit his nose and Natsu looked up at the ceiling, to see where the other half of that woman was.

"How in the hell," Usopp whispered as he stared up at the woman Natsu just rose his gaze to. "Does something like that happen?" The woman's upper body was stuck to the ceiling by some sort of white webbed substance, her throat was slit, and the skin on her face was seared off.

Two men looking between other guards at the hallway started pushing their ways to the front. They were at the intersection in the middle of the hall and not on either end, and Natsu moved to the side as they came running towards him. Shepard and Kaidan sprinted past Natsu and to the man slouched against the wall with his head bowed. "Joker!" Kaidan yelled, dropping to his knees in a puddle of his friend's blood.

Usopp snapped his head down from the woman on the ceiling. His eyes grew huge in shock and he took a step forward. He thought about the man who sped into the base on a Revenant the day before. He had talked to the guy for a while, all about Alpha Squad and the mission he went on with them. Usopp had not even recognized the man who was not moving despite Shepard and Kaiden's shouts at him to get up. Others on Zeta stared in shock towards his body when they realized who that disfigured body actually belonged to.

"Commander," someone on the other side of the hall reported in a loud voice. Everyone gathered in and around the hall looked towards the end where Octavia and Bellamy moved to the sides, allowing Gaara to walk in. The Kazekage did not stop walking, his feet making squishing sounds with every step down the long hallway. Every person there was silent at the dark look in Gaara's eyes. He marched down the hall, and he stopped near the middle where Natsu was standing and looking at him, wondering what the base Commander was about to do.

Gaara turned his head to the wall on Natsu's right, and Natsu turned to look at it for the first time. Out the corners of his eyes he had thought it had less blood on it that the rest of the room, but now that he looked closer, his eyes grew wider and wider as he realized it was not just some splashing of blood next to him. The blood had dripped, and it was difficult to read, but Gaara said each of the three words aloud. "'I. AM. SYLAR.'"

"What, the fuck?" Franky whispered as he neared the hallway he saw a lot of people gathered around. He was taller than everyone in front of him, so he was able to see into the hall full of blood and got shivers at the sight of it.

"He's still in the base," Gaara said. He said it under his breath and only Natsu heard it, then Gaara snapped his head up and shouted, "There is an intruder in the base. This is a code black. Everyone head to your stations. Be careful," he added at the end, while everyone started running away at the same time.

Usopp looked around him in confusion as many people started running, but Sara stayed where she was standing with the two members of Zeta with her. "Don't you have somewhere to go?" Usopp asked.

"We aren't part of this base's normal guard," Snart replied while walking forward towards Gaara who was still standing where he ordered everyone else away. "Plus, this isn't really something that happens often."

Franky started walking forward, but he glanced to his right where he saw a man he had talked to with Usopp the day before. Jeff "Joker" Moreau's body was in the same place his friends found it. The situation was so critical that Shepard and Kaidan did not even have time to remove his body. The two of them stood up next to Mick and Snart while Sara walked ahead of all of them. "Commander," Sara said as she approached Gaara. "Have you heard the name 'Sylar' before?"

"Only once," Gaara muttered. "Back in the Second War of the Gods. I thought he had long since died."

"What do you know about him?" Sanji asked. He came down the side of the hall that Octavia and Bellamy just turned and ran off from. He was jogging over with Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows, other members of Zeta who did not know where they were supposed to be going. When Gaara turned Sanji's way, he saw an enraged look on Sanji's face more furious than anyone else in the hall's. "I'm going to tear that shitty bastard apart," Sanji said, before taking another glance up at the ceiling where one of the three dead ladies in the hall was plastered. She did not look like she died painlessly, and Sanji's body burst into flames like his eyes already had.

"Do not rush into this foolishly," Gaara began. "I do not know much about him, only that he is extremely dangerous. As you can see," he added, taking another glance around the hall. After Gaara said it, the lights on the ceiling dimmed and different, red emergency lights turned on around the halls. Loud clanking sounds echoed through the base, and the group gathered in the hall could feel the base moving beneath their feet again. "We're rising to the surface," Gaara explained to those around him not accustomed to their emergency plans. "If the need arises to evacuate the base, we will."

"How long until that becomes a necessity?" Snart questioned.

"Depends on how long it takes for us to find-"

"Sir!" a voice that sounded like Bellamy's shouted over the speakers. "You're needed in the garage. There are more bodies."

"I'm on my way," Gaara called out. He then turned back to Sara and Natsu who was standing next to her. "Find the base's guards and join their squads to bolster their fighting powers. Don't think about splitting up on your own, this Sylar could be much stronger than you think."

Natsu growled and bared his teeth. "I'm tired of taking orders," Natsu snarled, and everyone in the hall turned towards him. A much darker flame than the one that surrounded Sanji appeared around Natsu's body, and then electricity started sparking from him too which made everyone near him start backing up. His eyes glowed red inside his aura, and he roared, "I'M ALL FIRED UP!" Natsu kicked off the floor and shot down the hall so fast that barely anyone could follow his movements.

Gaara was one of those who could, and he spun after Natsu and yelled while lifting a hand, "Wait!" Natsu cut around the corner before the floor of the corner could rise up suddenly as a hand of sand. Gaara clenched his lifted hand, and the sand hand clenched as well before falling apart and to the floor. Damn, he's likely the most powerful person in this base. If he would just listen to orders, we might all survive this. As it is now, he's going to get himself killed without any help-

"Don't worry about Natsu," Franky told the base commander who was grinding his teeth. Gaara turned to him, and the cyborg looked serious as he continued, "He's a cocky ass, but he's damn strong."

"RAA!" Sanji yelled, throwing his arms up to either side of his head.

"Hold it," Gaara snapped, and Sanji's gaze shot down to his feet where sand had come out of the floor and wrapped around his lower legs. Gaara was already prepared for him to rush off before Natsu even started flaming, and he continued to the man in front of him, "What's more important to you? Protecting the people of the base who you can still save, or getting revenge for the ones you couldn't? If you choose revenge, there'll be more casualties than if you do what I say."

Sanji's expression grew darker, but he calmed himself enough and snapped, "What do you want from me?"

"I want you to protect the civilians in the base. They're all gathering in the cafeteria on the first floor. I know you're rank orange by the Cooperative's scaling," he continued, which made many people in the hall spin to the pirate in surprise as they were not expecting that from him. "But that's why I need you protecting them, so that I can hunt down the monster in my base without worrying about my people. Can you do that?"

As Gaara said this to Sanji, Sara realized everyone else was just standing around. When Gaara finished asking Sanji the question, Sara shouted, "Get a move on people! We've got a base to protect. Let's go find those guards and join up with them."

She started running off with Zeta. Usopp stayed where he was for a second, then he felt a strong hand on his shoulder as Mick Rory was running by him. The large man holding a flamethrower in one hand started dragging Usopp along with his other, "That means you too," he said, before pushing forward and then running after Usopp, making Usopp start running as he felt like he was being chased.

While he was running, Usopp took a deep breath and reached up for the slingshot strapped to his back. He pulled the Black Kabuto out and held it protectively in front of him, then gulped as he thought about the mess inside that hallway. More bodies in the garage? Is there more than one invader? Or did the guy who did all that… Sylar, did he go to the garage afterwards? Or were those bodies already there and he killed these people most recently?! Usopp was panting heavier every second, and sweat poured off of his face as the face of Jeff Moreau appeared in his mind again. He was just a normal guy. He was, like me. And he got slaughtered by whatever is lurking around here. Usopp glanced around at the people on Zeta near him, I should stick with some of them.

Five Minutes Ago

Inside the maintenance garage off the side of the much larger one, Spanner heard a loud clank and lifted his head from his computer.

He looked towards the doorway, but the door was closed and no one stood in front of it. Spanner could have sworn he heard the door close though, and he asked while standing up, "Hello? Anyone there?" Spanner reached down as the hair on the back of his neck stood on end. He pulled a remote out of his pocket and pressed a bunch of buttons really fast. All at once, the five black Strau Moscas in the room stepped forward. Their eyes glowed red and they lifted their arms. Their sensors picked up on something and they all spun the same direction, behind Spanner.

Spanner spun around himself, and a figure slowly appeared behind him. He materialized into existence with an interested grin on his face. "They noticed me," Sylar said, looking at each of the robots closely. "You must be very good."

Who is this guy? Spanner thought. His green eyes focused in on the scary figure in front of him, and then they shifted down to the man's hands as he saw something drip from them. Spanner's eyes popped open huge and his breathing sped up at the sight of how red the man's hands were. "Who are you?" Spanner asked, snapping his attention back up.

"Are you the one making this base rise to the surface?" Sylar questioned.

Spanner got a quizzical look on his face. He tilted his head to the side and said, "I don't know what you're talking about. The base is-" Spanner lost his voice, and he gasped as he found it impossible to speak or even breath.

"You're lying," Sylar said in a knowing tone.

Spanner pressed a button on his remote. All five of the Strau Moscas charged at the same time, and the hold on his neck vanished. Spanner spun and reached down for his computer. In the corner of his eyes he saw a man leap up in the air and dodge his robots' attacks. The five robots turned the jets beneath their feet on though and shot after the intruder, while the ceiling lights got dimmer and red ones started flashing over their heads. Spanner was just about to do that himself, so he quickly shifted to his next step. Wires started popping out of the tallest, white Mosca right behind his computer. The final systems' check will have to wait. I'm testing the King Mosca right now!

Spanner slammed his finger down on the 'ENTER' key, and the King Mosca spun its head in one quick swift movement towards Sylar. Sylar had just slashed his right hand in front of his body, and the top and bottom half of one of the Strau Moscas were falling opposite directions. Both sides exploded, and then through the blast came the white King Mosca, slamming the surprised man who was not expecting that robot to be so much faster than all the others. The King Mosca headbutted Sylar so hard in the chest that its sensors picked up on the man's ribs cracking and piercing his lungs. Blood splashed out of Sylar's mouth and he flew into the wall behind him, leaving an indent in it.

The inventor down behind his computer had his arms crossed in front of his face to protect from the heat of the previous explosion. He was not able to follow his greatest invention's attack, but when he lowered his arms he was able to see the result of it. Imbedded into the wall was the scary man, looking broken with blood pouring out of his mouth. His eyes were closed, he had a bone sticking out of his chest and another coming out of his left elbow; he looked dead. Spanner let out a long sigh, then he wiped some sweat from his forehead. "Good work," he said to the King Mosca floating above. He heard a beeping sound and looked back at his computer, to see what his King Mosca's scanners, and the scanners of the two remaining Strau Moscas in the room, were picking up on. "A pulse?" Spanner questioned, not understanding how that was possible.

He lifted his gaze back to the man who looked dead to him. He stared at Sylar, and his own heart rate skyrocketed. Where did the bones go? The bones sticking out of Sylar's chest and arm were no longer protruding from his body. The blood stopped coming out of the man's mouth, and Spanner saw a cut on the man's left cheek start healing itself. Without waiting a single second, Spanner spun around and started sprinting for the door, typing into his controller at the same time. The three Moscas still functioning in the room charged at the man in the wall, and Spanner reached for the handle of the door.

As Spanner grabbed the handle, the steel handle glowed red and Spanner yelled, "AH!" He reeled backwards and lifted his right hand to see bad burns all over it. Two explosions filled the air behind him, and Spanner spun around to see the last Strau Moscas dropping out of the air. The King Mosca's right arm was ripped off, and then the green bubble forcefield around Sylar expanded and threw the King Mosca across the room. The tall white robot slammed into the wall next to the door, it sparked a few times, and then the red eyes on it dimmed. Spanner stared straight into Sylar's eyes, and Sylar smirked at him in a way that made Spanner terrified to his core. He was so afraid, that he decided to ignore the heat of the door handle.

Spanner spun and ran back to the door again. He grabbed it, twisted it despite the heat melting the skin of his palm, and he tore the door open a full foot. CLANK The door slammed back shut so hard that Spanner felt his arm get dislocated since his hand was still gripping the handle. Spanner yelled in pain, then he let out a gasp as his feet lifted from the floor. He flipped up through the air and dropped down on his feet right in front of Sylar, only five feet away from the man. Sylar released the man and said in a calm voice, "Stop the base from rising."

The scientist in front of him was terrified. Spanner's breath hitched, his heart rate increased so fast he thought his chest was visibly pounding, but he grit his teeth. "No," Spanner said.

"Hmm," Sylar hummed. I don't have time to force it out of him. He gazed at the computer next to him, and he let out a sigh then waved a hand at it to make the computer explode. At the same time, the lights on the ceiling and all the red emergency lights exploded as well. The flames from destroyed robots and Spanner's inventions were all that lit up the room, and Spanner took a step back at the horrifying look on Sylar's face that was just visible in the flickering light of the fires.

Sylar lifted his right hand and Spanner froze against his will. He could not move a single muscle. Sylar had his ring and pinky fingers curled in, and his thumb, index, and middle fingers pointed straight up. Spanner felt the hold around him tighten. He tried to speak, but no words could escape his mouth. "Shh sh sh," Sylar said, lifting his left index finger to his mouth and shushing into it. "It's too late now, your computer's broken." He grinned, and then he twisted his right hand in one sudden movement. Spanner's head spun a hundred and eighty degrees with a loud, SNAP!

Present

"Spanner," Natsu whispered. He stared at the face of the man whose head was spun the wrong way as the rest of his body was facing. He had heard the call for Gaara to report to the garage, and he was fast enough that he was there in under a minute after it came through. The regular garage was empty of people except for a body close to the maintenance room, but Natsu had had a bad feeling when he looked at the open door and the dark room on the other side.

How long ago? he thought, his body's flames intensifying, the floor beneath him starting to show signs of it. He melted footprints into the steel, and the metal railings in front of him started dripping as well while the room filled with a dark red tint.

A broken sprinkler system on the ceiling burst, installed by Spanner in case any of his inventions caught fire. The water coming out of different parts of the pipe hit Natsu, or at least got close to him before evaporating in his hot aura. Not a drop actually touched the Dragon Slayer's skin, but the room filled with steam anyway. It was already hard to see Spanner, but Natsu lost sight of the man inside the steam. He walked forward and allowed the flaming aura around him to fade as he reached down. Natsu picked up the body of a man he thought was pretty cool, or at least he thought the robots the man had invented were awesome.

Natsu walked out of the maintenance garage and into the larger one where a lot of other people were gathered near the other body or heading towards the maintenance room's door. They stopped and gawked at the sight of the blond man in Natsu's arms. Natsu lowered Spanner down and rested him on the floor, and when he stood back up and stared straight forward, no one stood in his way. Gaara was among the group who had run to the garage, but at the look in Natsu's eyes even he did not want to get in his way either.

None of Natsu's friends were in the room, nor anyone from Zeta Squad. A group of guards led by a large muscular woman with short blonde hair started over towards Natsu, and Gaara came with them. Natsu started walking away from Spanner, a scary look on his face that usually would have made someone feel bad for whoever that look was directed at. All of the people there knew Spanner though, and they all hoped Natsu would find the person who did this.

A flame ignited the garage as Natsu started charging away from the people behind him. Some of them looked back, but Brienne of Tarth leaned down and examined Spanner's body. It was not hard to tell that he was dead, considering his head was spun the wrong way, but Brienne spotted something as she looked over his body. She turned her head and looked back towards the other body they had checked out when they first entered, then she looked down at Spanner's right wrist again. "Sir," she said, making Gaara turn his attention back towards her after watching Natsu run off, thinking about how he wanted the Dragon Slayer to catch this intruder as fast as possible.

Gaara walked over and got down on one knee next to Brienne. "What is it?" He questioned her.

"Look here," Brienne lifted Spanner's right hand and motioned with her thumb at his wrist.

Gaara frowned at the sight of a slit on the man's wrist. Very little blood was around the wound, making him think that the slit had come after Spanner was already dead. He looked back at Spanner's twisted neck and knew how the man had died. Spanner's chest was touching the floor, since Natsu laid him down so his face was pointed up. Brienne faced the Commander and said, "His neck was snapped, so why would this Sylar go to the trouble of slitting his wrist?"

What is going on here? Gaara thought, a bad feeling stirring in his gut worse than from just having a crazed killer in his base.

Michael Scofield and his brother Lincoln walked down a hallway with five other guards near them. The two members of Zeta Squad were put in charge of the team, and they were each holding assault rifles in their hands. Mike's gun was a beam rifle while Lincoln's was a good-old-fashioned machine gun, loaded with armor-piercing bullets. The two of them had on their usual clothes, while the guards who were already ready by the time the two showed up to lead them were wearing protective vests, bulletproof pants and neck guards, and they all had on helmets with dark visors over them so no one could see the tops of their faces.

"Hey Mike, I got a bad feeling about this," the older brother began. Lincoln snapped his head to the right and spun his gun to point that way, but the next hallway down was empty. The two of them were in the basement, searching for the intruder whose kill count was already up to eight.

Mike tapped a button on the side of a headset on his head and reported in a quiet voice, "Team 4 checking in. No sign of him down here." The people he was reporting to in the comms room knew where his team was searching so he did not need to go into details about his location. He tapped the button again after hearing an affirmative response, then he glanced in at his older brother and whispered, "I've got the same feeling Linc', but until help gets here, we're- ack-gug-" Mike lifted his hands to his throat as it became hard to speak with his mouth filling with liquid. He stumbled backwards, while Lincoln spun to his younger brother in confusion.

"What's wrong? Mike? Michael?!" Michael dropped to the ground and Linc dropped next to him, pulling Mike's hands away from his throat. Lincoln's eyes snapped open huge at the sight of all the blood pouring out of Mike's throat from a golf-ball-sized hole in it. "Hey! Mike stay with me!"

"Over there!" Someone else in their team shouted. Linc just kept shaking his younger brother, even as the screams started behind him.

"He's so fast!"

"Shoot him!"

Lincoln stared down in horror as Mike's eyes stopped shaking. His mouth that kept trying to make out words fell still, and Linc lifted his hands and stared at how bloody they were. Everything was tinted red from the lights on the ceiling, but those lights started flickering while Lincoln heard thuds behind him. His left hand moved over and gripped on the automatic rifle next to him. If he was thinking straight, he might have reached for the communicator on Mike's head instead. Footsteps were getting closer to him, echoing around the hallway as nothing else made any noise. Lincoln grabbed his gun and spun, yelling, "RAAAA!" He started firing, and bullets flew down the hallway all the way into a wall that they clanked into without hitting anyone.

Lincoln sprayed all over the place, but after a few seconds he stopped pulling the trigger. No one was in front of him. His breathing hitched and he stood up, getting off his knees where he had been firing all those shots. Lincoln took a step backwards, sheer terror on his face as the hall behind him was empty. Not only was his brother's killer not there, but none of the other guys in Team 4 were either. He looked left and right, and he took another step back as there was not even any blood showing his team had died. The only sign of a fight in the hall were the bullet holes in the wall at the end of the hall, and the bullet casings on the floor. Lincoln took another step back, then his eyes opened wide in shock, because he had taken too many steps back. He lowered his gaze to the floor below him, then turned and looked all around his feet.

Michael was gone. There were some small red splotches on the ground on either side of where Mike's neck had been, and two red hand prints on the floor from where Linc pushed his brother's hands away from his neck. He lifted his head and looked down the hall behind him, then he turned and looked back in front of him again. His breathing got louder, his body covered in sweat. "Where are you!?" Lincoln shouted. He fired some more bullets down the hall, then he spun and shot behind him, "WHERE ARE YOU?! WHERE DID YOU TAKE MY BROTHER?!"

"Linc?"

Lincoln spun around and pointed his rifle, but before he could fire, he saw who it was who said his name. He thought he recognized the voice, and now looking at the face his suspicions were confirmed. Lincoln's shaking gun lowered, and he stared forward with a trembling lip at the sight of his younger brother in front of him. Mike was wearing exactly what he just was, he looked the same as the brother Lincoln knew, only he did not have a hole in his throat. Mike looked at him in confusion and lowered his own assault rifle that he rose when Linc snapped his up. "What is it?" Mike asked. His eyes opened huge and he jogged forward, "Did you see Sylar?"

"N-No," Lincoln whispered. He looked back down at the floor, but even the blood stains he thought he had seen a minute ago were gone. "I, you were," he lifted his gaze again, and Michael slowed down as he got within ten feet of his brother.

"I was what?" Mike asked. He had a confused look on his face, and he tilted his head to the side and said, "Where're the rest of the guys?"

Lincoln spun his head around and answered, "I, don't know. Wait," he looked back at his brother, "where were you? Why weren't you…" Lincoln grabbed the side of his head. What's going on? His eyes clenched and he shook his head around, "I don't know what's going on, Mike. I thought, I could have swore-"

"That I was dead?" A voice whispered into Linc's left ear. He stayed frozen with his eyes closed, because although the first half of that sentence sounded like his younger brother, the word 'dead' came out in a voice much more malicious. Lincoln's eyes opened and he stared forward in horror at the face of a man only inches in front of his own. The man had blood splotches on his face, his black hair was slicked back, and he was smiling like he was enjoying this a little too much. "Sorry, that was crueler than usual. You just looked so easy to kill, it didn't feel as, appetizing. A much more fun challenge was seeing if I could get you to lose it."

"You sick fuck!" Lincoln snapped his arms up, but Sylar reached forward and grabbed his gun before it got up all the way. Lincoln tried pulling up through Sylar's grip, but the thinner man was much stronger than he looked. The assault rifle heated up and Linc growled but tried pulling up even harder. His muscles strained and veins popped on his face. Even as the gun started melting in his hands, then melting his hands, Lincoln just started screaming and pulling up through the metal even harder. His bloody and burnt hands shot pushed through the molten steel and snapped up to Sylar's neck, and he started running forward while pushing the surprised killer backwards.

Sylar waved a hand in front of him, and Lincoln's charge was halted and the man redirected the other direction twice as fast. Lincoln hit the floor and skid backwards on his back. He slid all the way down the hall to the last intersection before hitting the wall. He hit it straight on the top of his bald head, and Lincoln winced before his head dropped down to the floor motionless. Everything was dark, but he heard the footsteps coming towards him, louder again. His eyes opened and his head lifted up a small amount, giving him a blurry look down the hall where he saw Sylar reaching up and rubbing his neck. Blood poured down Linc's face and got in his right eye, but he could see Sylar walking towards him with a smirk on his face, and the marks on his neck vanishing.

Fuck, I can't, move, Linc tried sitting up more, but his whole body was in pain after getting thrown down the hallway. He lifted up a little bit more, then Lincoln froze as through his blurry red vision on his right side, he saw something down the hallway intersecting the one he had just been attacked in. Lincoln turned his head painfully to the right, and he stared with a dropped jaw at the face of his younger brother staring back at him. The bodies of all of Team 4 were lying just around the corner of the hall he was just in.

Sylar let out a disappointed sigh as he saw Lincoln's face, "Oh darn, I wanted you to die really thinking you were insane." Sylar pointed his right hand forward, and blue flames shot out of his right palm and slammed into the man lying on the ground.

"Ahhh! AHHHH!" Lincoln started screaming as his body caught fire. Sylar chuckled and kept shooting flames at the man, and then a confused look appeared on Sylar's face as the flames covering Lincoln's body flew off of him. All of the flames coming out of Sylar's hand stopped heading towards Lincoln, and instead they curved around the corner of the hallway towards where he hid the rest of the bodies. Sylar lowered his arm and stopped smiling, gaining a semi-confused look as he stared over.

Sylar took a step forward and leaned his head right to try and see around the corner better. "Is someone there?" He asked.

The blue flames he sent down the hall went out, and the red lights on the ceiling got brighter around the corner. No, those aren't the lights, Sylar realized after a second. The red light got brighter, and orange flames flooded out into the hallway right in front of Lincoln's body without touching the man himself. A silhouette moved forward inside those flames, and Sylar narrowed his eyes as he saw a single red eye on the side of the silhouette's head closer to him. The man inside the fire turned away from Sylar and looked down to his left at Linc, but the small hope he felt for the burnt-up body next to him faded away as soon as he got there. He glanced back behind him again, and the flames surrounding his body intensified at the sight of the rest of the corpses.

A bright orange core filled the inside of the flaming aura, looking so solid that it no longer appeared to be fire at all that surrounded him. The shadow with red eyes turned back in Sylar's direction, and his brighter aura made his body inside all the more visible. Sylar's eyes grew wider, and wider, and a bead of sweat actually formed on the side of his face. I know that man! I saw his picture in a paper a week ago. He's the one, who killed Sozin. "Natsu Drag-"

"SYLAARRRRR!" Natsu roared. The fire of Natsu's aura pushed in front of him and down the hallway on all sides of Sylar, making a flaming tunnel with the two of them inside it. Natsu bent his knees, balled his fists, and he kicked off the floor. "I'm going to rip you APART!" Natsu punched his right fist forward, "FIRE DRAGON'S IRON FIST!"

A/N Thanks for reading! Sylar starts his brutal rampage through the Resistance base. If you don't know (and didn't look up) who Sylar is, he's the main Antagonist in Heroes, a tv show I watched growing up. He was a serial killer who would take the powers of people he killed after looking in their brains and... and, well, he's a very scary and creepy guy. Some powers he had in the show were his telekinesis, but he also got one that told him if people were lying (which he used on Spanner), he got regeneration, and shapeshifting, and he's just a very powerful villain who you can imagine on Nexus is even stronger with the vast numbers of people with special powers he'll have acquired in that time. We'll see how Natsu fares against him, next time! Hope you enjoyed the chapter, and leave me predictions below telling me what you think is going to come of the arc! 'Til next time!
