Knuckles was just stunned. All four friends were together.
But Sonic was acting strange. It was weird enough that
"I don't get it. What went wrong?" Knuckles asked Amy and Sticks.
"Maybe we were so harsh on Sonic. That he hung out with them more often." Amy suggested.
Though it was a lot longer than they thought. Sonic had been hanging out with Scourge, Fang, and Fiona since the whole 'Sonic speed sound incident'.
Though it was relief for Sonic cause Scourge helped him get those awful shoes 'he got from Eggman' off of him and helped him with his problem along with Fiona.
He secretly hangs out with them since. Even though they are the same bad group Sonic had known, they are reformed, Sonic was impressed by it and he also hangs out at either the village they are in or also at Scourges place. Even after Seelkadoom reformed himself.
"Why was Sonic hanging out with them? Has he lost his mind?" Tails asked in a shocking and panic like tone.
"I don't know. It's so him hanging out with my quote on quote boyfriend like that." Sticks said in her usual crazy way.
"You never dated Fang. Have you?" Amy asked curiously.
"Afraid so. He and I were... partners for an anti-robot group." Sticks said 'confessing her supposed info in an embarrassing way while her hands were behind her back and her right foot moving left and right'.
Amy and Tails jaws dropped. This was just shocking. They never thought Sticks would date anyone, let alone someone 'who was a bounty hunter and their sworn enemy'.
"Look. I don't talk about love life that often. I just don't." Sticks said 'embarrassed'.
"We understand Sticks." Amy said 'sympathetically'.
"Okay. Can we even get to Sonic right now?" Knuckles asked 'sternly'.
The three muttered while Tails sighed deeply.
"We gotta go check on Sonic." Knuckles said 'deeply concerned for the cobalt hedgehog'.
"Maybe we should check on him. Let's get to the shack." Amy suggested.
"He's not there." Knuckles suddenly said.
"What?" Amy, Tails, and Sticks asked in shock.
"He... He went over to Seelkadooms place." Knuckles blabbed.
The three gasped in shock. "Seelkadoom?! The combination of Sonic and Shadow?!" Tails shouted.
"The same." Knuckles answered.
"Why would Sonic go with him?!" Amy asked in an alarmed way.
Knuckles shrugged.
"Well either our invisibility devices had malfunction or something else is wrong." Tails said.
"We gotta get Sonic back from Seelkadoom." Knuckles suggested.
"But Knuckles, we don't even know where he lives." Tails said.
Thst really damped Knuckles confidence. He sighed deeply while looking down.
Suddenly, a a small amount of mist was leading Knuckles down a path that no villager was dared to go near.
"O-Oh okay. Better see what the heck is going on." Knuckles said to himself as he wandered off 'away from his friends'.
The path was scary but it was strangely takin Knuckles to where Sonic could be.
"I gotta make sure Sonic is okay. Still..." Knuckles said before trailing off while looking at the path ahead.
He whimpered while he felt like someone was watching him.
He slowly and shakily walked towards the path while following the mist.
He whimpered before hearing something move.
He gasped and turned around to see nothing. He resumed walking as he sees a few eyes staring at him in the dark.
Knuckles let out a short scream.
He then turned around to see a few faces he didn't recognize looking at him.
But the faces that were looking at him were just gut wrenching.
One face looked like it was going to fall clean off, there were a few worms wiggling in where the nose is, it's eyes were nothing but red and goopy 'as if they were ready to explode', and it's jaw missing 'as if it was yanked off'. Blood drips down from its face.
The second face was filled with two huge gashes, on its cheeks, its eye dangling from what's left of its head, its brain was visible, its mouth gape open 'as if letting out a scream'.
The third face was nothing more than a mushy pile of red gore and blood. Its eyes were looking at Knuckles as if it was going insane.
The last face looked like it was burned off and mangled. Its eyes filled with 3 worms each, its nose gone, its mouth 'filled with gore and bugs' its ears looked like it was chewed off.
The four faces groaned and tried to reach for Knuckles with its bloody and decomposing arms. It was showing an arm bone or two.
"Join us..." the four faces said in an eerie voice as it groaned like a zombie in a movie.
Knuckles screamed and ran off.
While running Knuckles can hear eerie voices whispering and screaming.
He kept looking back to see if those faces were following him. But they were not there.
He ran faster and faster as he sees shadowy hands trying to reach him but failed.
He screamed and ran until it was absolute silence.
Knuckles panted and looked at the scary path.
"Oh man. Th-that was scary. What the heck was that?" Knuckles asked himself while trying to figure out what just happened.
That was when Knuckles turned away from the path before he walks off and followed the mist again.
But it wasn't long until Knuckles sees a building. An apartment complex to be exact.
The apartment complex was one of the most popular and cheap place on the island. It also had its own diner and it is located in the outskirts of the village.
"Huh?" Knuckles said in confusion.
he walked to the diner entrance. Before hearing voices as he heard them from the entrance.
"I am telling you big nose. Stay away from blue or I won't to whip you mate." Fangs voice said angrily.
"Oh come on. Just one word with Sonic I promise I won't..." Marks voice said 'in his usual obsessive tone'.
"Ugh. Figures Mark is trying to get near Sonic again." Knuckles said to himself.
That was when Mark was being dragged by Fang and Scourge.
"Oh Come on. Just tell me where Sonic is. I promise I won't take him again." Mark said 'laughing intensely while nervously'.
"Not even if you paid us. You better be lucky Sonic isn't suing you for kidnapping." Fiona's voice said angrily.
"However, if you tried to go near Sonic, the guards won't hesitate to zap like they did when you go near him. They're good at keeping parasites like you away from him." Fionas voice said.
"Yeah what the chick said mate." Fang said.
"Alright throw him out boys!" Fiona's voice said.
"You don't haft to go back to your mother's basement big nose. BUT YOU CAN'T STAY HERE!!" Scourge said as he and Fang threw Mark The Tapir into the wet and cold mud puddle.
Mark was covered in mud, leaves, and grass as he groaned in disgust while looking at himself.
"Oh man. I just got this washed." Mark said to himself while looking at his outfit covered in mud.
The two went back in as Fiona stepped out for a minute.
"And stay out and stay away from Sonic you creepy pervert." Fiona shouted at Mark.
"Pervert? Look lady. I may have kidnapped him and fed him my pie but I didn't do anything bad to him." Mark protested.
"You tried to touch him in places that are not allowed but failed when Scourge kicked you away and the guards zapping you. Plus your pies taste like ashes from a cigarette tray. Your pies suck." Fiona said in a mean and nasty tone before going inside.
"Hey." Mark simply said in offense.
"My pies don't suck." Mark said standing up.
"Do they?" Mark then said looking down.
The now depressed Tapir walks off in defeat while the mud dripped from his now messy body.
"Serves him right for kidnapping Sonic." Knuckles said looking at Mark walking away with a stern glare.
Then Knuckles turned away and thought of something.
If he known about Marks intentions, would he secretly stayed and make sure Sonic was safe? Would he keep Sonic away from Mark for his sake? More importantly, would things be slightly different?
"Man. Now that I think about it, if I known what Mark would do earlier, would I be able to save Sonic in time? I mean the movie was important but Sonic is even more important. He is my friend. Right now I gotta make sure he's okay." Knuckles said to himself while looking down.
That was when he snook into the diner to hear the conversation.
Once inside he went over and hid behind a bar nearby.
"Wait. He's with Seelkadoom. Where does he live?" Knuckles asked himself.
That was when his question was answered right away.
He sees the black and blue hedgehog walking to Scourge, Fiona, and Fang.
"Hey Seelkadoom. How's Blue?" Scourge said 'seeing him walking to him'.
"Right now he's asleep in my apartment room. He had it rough. I had to stay with him until he cried himself to sleep. Poor guy." Seelkadoom said while sitting down 'feeling bad for Sonic'.
"Which apartment room is he in?" Fang asked.
"Room 108. Me and him will haft to go back to the shack to go wait for Sonia." Seelkadoom answered while looking at Scourge.
"She did say, she won't arrive til morning." Fiona said as she raised a brow while sipping her soda that she ordered earlier.
Knuckles heard where Sonic is at before he sighed deeply and tried to sneak away.
He tripped on a few chairs and causing crashes as he scurried away like a rat trying to get away from a hungry cat.
"What was that?" Scourge asked as he turns around.
"Must be the clumsy waiters mate." Fang reassured.
"Maybe." Scourges voice said.
"Okay. Now that I know where Sonic is at sort of. I better find the room he is in." Knuckles said to himself as he runs to the apartment section.
