Once they arrived at the workshop Tails went to work on the devices right away.
Though 2 hours have passed and Knuckles sees it was day time.
He walked out of the workshop and looked around.
"Seriously? Has it been hours already?" Knuckles asked himself.
"Actually it's been 2 days." A familiar voice said from behind.
Knuckles jumped and sees Silver behind him.
"Oh. Geez. Wait, how come you can see or hear us?!" Knuckles asked in shock.
"Hello! Anybody home! I'm a psychic, remember?" Silver answered 'reminding him what Silver is'.
"Oh, right." Knuckles said flatly.
He then shook as he looked at himself 'vanishing'. He let out a horrified gasped.
He turns to the white hedgehog 'who had a grim look on his face'.
"You figured it out, didn't you?" Silver asked.
"Yeah. I saw my... Well my hand. Still, I..." Knuckles said 'his voice cracking'.
"Oh Silver please tell me this is some sort of cruel joke that and Sonic planned for revenge." Knuckles said to Silver 'in sorrow (hoping this was all a cruel joke)'.
"I'm all for jokes 'not in the same way as Sonic' when I feel like it but, Knuckles. This isn't a joke. You 4 are actually dead." Silver answered 'his voice filled with sympathy and sorrow'.
"Yesterday, Sonic came to me." Silver said to him.
"He was in his bargaining stage. Normally that wouldn't happen until the anger stage. Though Sonic dealt with both anger and depression at the same time." Silver explained 'thinking back to what happened'.
(Yesterday)
Sonic was feeling super emotional at the beach.
"Why? Why did this happen?? I coulda forgiven Knuckles but the others? I dunno. I just don't know anymore." Sonic said to himself while looking at the sky.
He then looked to see Silver behind him. Sonic spared no time to rush to him in tears and panting.
"Hey. How are you holding up?" Silver asked with condolences.
Sonic placed his hands on Silver and looked at him straight in the eye.
"Silver please do me a favor!! Please Silver you haft to bring Knuckles and the others back to life!!" Sonic said in tears and a panic.
Silvers eyes widened at this before he gasped.
"What...?" Silver asked.
"Please Silver. I'll do anything! Please name your price! I'll pay or do anything just bring them back or just Knuckles!! Please you're a psychic Silver!! Can't you bring them back??" Sonic said 'begging him'.
Silver looked at him sadly and shook his head.
"I cannot. I'm sorry Sonic. Yeah I am a psychic but I can't bring them back. Even if I had that power. They cannot be brought the way you thought they would. I mean, I'm not a god Sonic. Again, I'm so sorry." Silver said with sympathy and sorrow.
"Oh..." Sonic said 'collapsing on his knees' and cried so loud.
Seelkadoom rushed to him and puts a hand on his shoulder.
"I dunno why... He was supposed to be my one and only. We coulda made this work. I COULDA CARRIED HIS KIDS AND RAISED THEM WITH HIM!!" Sonic said while sobbing harshly.
That last part was awkward for the two.
"Uhh, Sonic? You are a boy. You can't carry kids you make them." Seelkadoom whispered.
Sonic calms down before he sighed and said flatly, "Well? We would always adopt or at least have Tails work on a formula."
"True..." Seelkadoom said 'looking away awkwardly'.
"Wait. Silver? Where is Blaze?" Sonic asked 'realizing the flaming kitty friend of Silvers was not with him'.
"Oh. She's not with me. Blaze had to stay at Mobius in case another chaos rose. She woulda liked to see you all but she can't leave. Not yet anyways." Silver answered.
The two Hedgehogs held onto each other as Sonic snuggled his muzzle onto Seelkadoom.
Knuckles looks down as Silver finished explaining.
"Look, I...I didn't actually it would end this way." Knuckles sniffs as he had tears in his eyes.
"Now thanks to us.. I...I lost my chance with..." Knuckles said as he was crying.
"Though Sonic may possibly carry my kids in his stomach for 9 months. Boy or not!!" Knuckles said in a fast paste.
Silver looked away in an awkward sort of way.
"Ehh, right..." Silver said 'awkwardly'.
"And what makes you think that?" Silver asked awkwardly and uneasily.
"Cause, I'm the last of the echidnas. There is a chance Sonic would carry my kids. My bloodline has to be carried out. Sonic maybe a prince but I... I don't care. If I made a wish it would happen. My bloodline crossed with his woulda been my chance for a family. Plus Tails would find a way to make it happen." Knuckles explained sadly.
He sighed deeply while looking at the sand.
"But right now I... I lost my chance with..." Knuckles trailed off while he started to tear up.
He felt his heart ached real bad. Knowing his chance with Sonic is now nothing but a lost chance.
"Amy, Tails, and Sticks don't even know. They need to know." Knuckles said sadly.
"Th-There is no hope..." Knuckles sniffed as he said.
"Hey Knuckles! We got the belts worked." Tails said as he and the girls rushed to him.
"Guys... There's something you need to know..." Knuckles said sadly.
"It can wait. We gotta find Sonic." Tails rushed off.
That was when the girls followed and Knuckles was left behind. The red echidna sat down with a depressed face.
