Summary: Naruto Uzumaki, the 7th Hokage of Konoha, Jinchūriki of Kurama, hero of the elemental nations, and good friend from many, died from a mysterious illness. Never in his imagination would he have thought to open his eyes inside the body of someone who looked exactly like himself when he was around 18 years old. "Now that's unexpected."

„So this is where I live, huh?" said Naruto to no one specific. He was discharged today after almost a year in the hospital. He had just arrived at the address he got from the hospital where his supposed apartment was.

It was a shabby-looking apartment on the very outskirts of Kuoh Town. He opened the door with the key he took out from his pant pocket. He was now wearing blue pants, a white shirt, and brown shoes. It wasn't something special. It was decent enough for every situation he may go to. If now shopping, eating at a restaurant, or attending another event. This simple but decent combo of clothes was enough for everything.

The first thing that he noticed was the heavy layer of dust everywhere. He even had to cough a little when he breathed in the air inside his apartment. He rushed through the apartment to the next window he could find and opened it wide. A cloud of dust blew out of the window. Naruto took a deep breath of the fresh air and thought, 'I should have expected this… no one cleaned this apartment. And from the looks of it, the Naruto Uzumaki from this world was just like me when I was younger… he didn't clean his apartment properly, even a little.' He looked over his shoulder, seeing worn clothes scattered over the ground, used foot boxes, and other things that shouldn't be there.

But first things first… he took another deep breath and rushed to the other windows, opening them wide. He needed to get fresh air into this messy apartment. He stood at the open window for a few minutes and waited. At least, he wanted to be able to breathe normally in his apartment before he would begin his cleaning and other things.

He looked at the layout of the apartment, went to specific corners, and installed seals to protect his apartment. He wanted to be able to relax at home... even when he didn't feel at home yet. Those seals would protect his apartment from destruction, making it impossible to enter. They didn't let anyone feel his energy source when he was inside his apartment or anyone else who was inside, and let it look like no one was there.

He personally already placed other seals on his body. One of those seals made it impossible to feel his chakra. Even when someone would stand directly beside him, he would still look like an average human. It was a suppression seal with a little tweak only to suppress the chakra that radiated from Naruto. Basically, it lets him stay at full strength without radiating any energy or power.

"I still can't believe you found a way of using the sealing technique without using your life force," said Silent Shadow in Naruto's mind.

Naruto chuckled and said, "I told you, didn't I? I was enlightened when I was in a coma. I simply knew it when I woke up."

The original Uzumaki sealing technique required the usage of life force for every seal, but Naruto didn't use the sealing method of this new world. He still used the sealing methods of the elemental nations, meaning without the need to use life force in exchange.

He was the only one who knew how this worked. After he was done setting up the seals around his apartment, he began to clean. It took him 4 hours in total, but he was glad he was finished. Now everything was clean. He sighed when he sat down on his bed. It was a bed for a single person. The apartment itself wasn't anything fancy. The furniture was basic and nothing more. But it was enough for Naruto.

Even when he was in the elemental nations and became Hokage, he didn't buy anything fancy for the house he got as the 7th Hokage. Many said to him he should buy better furniture, but it didn't matter to Naruto. He was only home to sleep most of the time anyway. Someone cleaned his house twice a week, so he didn't need to worry about this topic. He was either training or at his office in the Hokage tower.

In his new bedroom was a single bed, a closet, and a desk with a chair before it. He lay down and looked at the ceiling, thinking what would happen from now on. He was informed that he attended the Kuoh Academy before he fell into a coma. But would he really need to go back to school? He was a Hokage in his previous life… going back to a school full of kids would be awkward, to say the least. It wasn't that he minded kids/teenagers.

But it was a foreign concept for him as a former Hokage to think he would need to go to a school after all this time. The last time he went to school was when he was 12 years old. This was almost 23 years ago.

After he became a Genin, his life was filled with action through missions, internal or external conflicts, and walking the path that led him to become Hokage one day. There was not a single moment when he thought about the subject of school. He learned everything through experience and not through theory. Of course, there was theory involved, but mostly, it was practical learning.

Now, being sent back to a place where theory learning was the main subject… he sighed. He stood up and looked through his apartment. He knew every room from the outside, but he didn't look in every drawer or cupboard. He also tried to search for hidden storage places, like for Assassin gear or something like that.

He was sure the Naruto Uzumaki of this world had a place where he stored all his Assassin equipment. But he didn't find it yet. 'It could also be that he stored it in another place… too bad I don't have his memories,' thought Naruto.

After he had become familiar with every single corner, drawer, room, and everything in the apartment, he went outside to go grocery shopping. It was Saturday, so the grocery store was still open.

Walking through Kuoh was still fascinating. Seeing all the technological advancements the humans of this world made was still fascinating. In his last years in the elemental nations, the elemental nations also made some advancements in the technology department, but it was still nothing to this world. Cars, planes, ships out of metal, the internet, and everything else. It was truly remarkable. Well… normal humans didn't have chakra to defend themselves like the Shinobi from the elemental nations. It was clear that the humans of this world would evolve differently.

They needed to advance otherwise to survive in this world. Naruto stopped and waited until four cars drove past him so he could cross the street. He crossed the street and kept walking toward the grocery store, which he discovered on his way home from the hospital.

He noticed something when he walked through the streets of Kuoh… even back in the hospital. Some humans kept their distance from him as if he were known. He didn't know if the Naruto Uzumaki of this world had a bad reputation since the hospital staff treated Naruto like a normal patient.

But it could well be… when he thought back to what the two women talked about three months ago when they visited him the last time and brought him the book of the Assassin King.

"He must remember," said one of the women.

"You know what happened. It's a miracle he is still alive after he sacrificed himself for us. I was sure he was dead for 20 minutes before he suddenly woke up a week ago," said the other woman.

'So the Naruto Uzumaki from this world wasn't just an average human either. I guess he was part of a group of people who also could perform superhuman feats just like Shinobi in my old world,' thought Naruto. 'This could also be the reason why I had no trouble with feeling and using this new type of energy in my new body.'

"To be honest… I never liked him. But after the last battle, he showed a side never seen before. I never thought he really cared for his comrades and for the cause we fought. But he took care from behind the scenes and didn't tell anybody. We would be dead already if he didn't deal with crucial members of our enemies in the shadows."

"I know. But let's go; we have done what we came for," said the woman.

One of the women said something about not liking Naruto. It could be that it was only this woman who didn't like him, but the other women agreed to her comrade… meaning Naruto Uzumaki of this world wasn't the most pleasing company to be around.

'It can't be changed right now. Let's focus on shopping and afterward on training,' thought Naruto. It didn't take him long to get everything and return to his home. Just when he was about to open the door of his apartment, a female voice echoed through the corridor of the building. Naruto's apartment was in an apartment complex. His apartment was on the third floor.

"Congratulations on your recovery," said the female voice. Naruto looked to the side and saw a young woman who wasn't much older than Naruto. The young woman was a bespectacled young woman with a slim figure, black hair styled in a short bob cut, and violet eyes. She currently wore some school clothes, even when it was Saturday.

"Thank you… but do I need to know you?" asked Naruto, turning to her.

"So the rumor of your amnesia is indeed true," said the young woman.

"Yes. I don't know anything from my time before the coma," said Naruto. It was the truth… to some extent. But this wasn't so important right now.

"Then let me introduce myself… my name is Sona Sitri, and I am the student council president of the Kuoh Academy. I am here to bring you your new school uniform for Monday. It wouldn't look good if you would walk into the school building without a proper uniform," said Sona with a straight but serious face.

She wore a bag with clothes in her right hand. Naruto could see this from the beginning, but he didn't think those uniforms were for him. 'I really thought I wouldn't be surprised so easily after everything I experienced… and yet this young lady surprised me for good,' thought Naruto.

"Oh, I see. I am sorry for being so casual with you, student council president," said Naruto, bowing slightly. He didn't just train in the hospital. He also informed himself about this world as best as he could. There had to be a kind of hierarchy in the school system or usual life.

So he knew he should treat the young lady before him with respect. There would also be the fact that Sona Sitri radiated demonic energy, meaning that she was a devil. He already thought that devils had a strong presence in the Academy, but he didn't think they would have such high positions in the system of the school.

Never mind… it would also be logical. After Sona gave Naruto the new uniforms for Monday, she excused herself and left again since she had other duties to attend to. Naruto walked into his apartment and closed the door behind him.

'An interesting first day outside of the hospital,' thought Naruto. He put everything, the groceries and school uniform, away and sat on his bed.

Blue chakra appeared around him while he sat in a lotus position. It would take time, but he would become stronger. Training every day was a crucial element in his success. If now in the elemental nations of this world. He only recovered so swiftly in the hospital because he trained every day in the hospital for multiple hours.
