Tousaka residence...

"Master I feel that the last servant has appeared. The next Grail War has begun. I hope your ready." The blonde servant seemed prepared for anything.

"That's always my goal. We better get to bed I have school tomorrow. I shall take you with me so make sure to maintain your invisibility." Rin yawned dramatically as she wondered what mystic abilities she should be ready for. She was sure her opponents were the most skilled mages in the world.

Emiya residence...

Archer frowned at his master's strange question. "You and six other magic users have been chosen to fight a war. The prize is the ultimate treasure in mage craft, the Holy Grail. Which will grant any wish the victorious master and servant desires." The tall man looks confused for a moment then continued. "You know all that don't you master? You must have a wish of you own after all."

"I do have a wish, to be a champion of justice. Though I had no idea the Grail was even real. Let alone that it granted wishes. Do these other mages know who I am Archer?" Shiro had a look on his face that showed concern.

"Not exactly master, though the caster servant can spy on us. However, the other participants and their servants can sense us when close enough." The blonde man smiled after the answer because he could offer his master a portion of his wish. "If that's your goal I have trained a few heroes in my time. I can teach you how to use many weapons better than average. Also, I know how to whip you into top physical condition. So master would you like me to teach you?"

"First of all, stop calling me master, my name is Shiro Emiya. Next, I would definitely like to learn what you have to teach." The red haired boy was excited to find someone able to help him become a real hero. The adrenaline rush was wearing off from narrowly escaping death. Against his will he yawned dramatically.

"Excellent Shiro, you might say the stars themselves memorialize my gift for instructing." Archer paused as the youth showed how tired he was. "Though I think we'll start tomorrow. You should get rest so you are ready for the dangers ahead."

"Good point thanks Archer I will. Though what should I do if that killer comes back?" The red haired boy looked more awake suddenly as he remembered his predicament.

"Calm yourself Shiro I'm here for you after all. I can sleep standing up in case Assassin comes back. It does seem likely you won't have to worry anymore tonight." The servant flexed his arms as a show of strength as he spoke.

"Okay good, but I have school tomorrow. How can you help me then?" He yawned again as he was reassured.

"Oh, people have to go to a place called school in this era. I could shadow you while hiding using mana. However, if a lot of people are at this place obvious attacks won't occur. It's against the rules to reveal this secret war to non mages. If someone tried they would immediately be disqualified. Whoever is in charge of enforcing the rules shall punish them severely as well." Archer paused with concern for a moment then continued. "Do you know how to give me mana Shiro?"

"No idea sorry, is their anything you can do about that?" The boy hoped so or his servant would be at a disadvantage.

The older blonde had a look of distaste on his face as he answered. "I could drain mana from the normal people around, but it would almost certainly kill or seriously weaken them. I must say Master if you wish this from me you will have to use a command seal to order it. I will refuse to do it otherwise." His friendly tone had turned cold and dangerous as he spoke more. He also showed the boy the seals on the back of his hand. He spoke of them while gesturing. "When those are gone you can no longer order me. As long as mana still flows thru me I can continue to exist. An unbound servant is extremely dangerous."

"That is absolutely horrible. I would never force you to do that. Guess you'll have to stay here while I'm at school. According to you, I should be mostly safe there. Even if an opponent goes to my school they will stay quiet for their own sakes." Shiro smiled as the dark expression vanished from Archer's face.

The Elder man smiled once more in his open way, then spoke. "Thank the gods your my master Shiro. Many would not hesitate to make me kill the innocent for power. However, if your in trouble at school. I think I'll be able to get there faster than most could run. Go to bed boy, and fear nothing tonight." Without further discussion the red haired youth did as instructed.

Next day at school...

Zelda felt a little nervous today. The life or death struggle she witnessed last night drove home the danger she was in. Fortunately, Rider looked the same age as her. So instead of using mana to hide him visibly. The duo decided on camouflage instead. He altered his clothes to blend in at school. He stayed a few feet back looking for trouble. Though he could try harder to blend in. Girls kept swarming him like he was honey. She knew she had no right to be irritated by this, but couldn't help herself. Suddenly, she sensed strong power nearby. She could tell it was a master approaching and a servant was nearby as well. The crowd seemed to part for Rin Tousaka as she practically charged Zelda.

The red garbed girl smiled lazily. Since she could tell she was facing a fellow mage. "Well Sheikah I knew there was something about you of importance. Do watch your back when your alone. There are some strange happenings after school lately." She continued walking after staring at her known opponent for a few seconds. She headed for the classroom glad that she knew her first target. Warning the foreigner about the trouble was merely a whim. Such things could be considered a tactical move.
