When Amy came back after the first attack. Everyone was in full blown panic mode. Perfect, so she caused more panic. Planting the seeds for more disorganization and chaos. Raising panic is easy however and easily dismantled. So Amy keeps going deeper, the best place to make panic is the top. When they worry, everyone is worried. Perfect. Amy can make it worse, way worse. She's Amy Rose after all.

"Jewel! What happened?" Amy says busting in Jewel's office

"An attack on a city, mass destruction, mass chaos. You know, the usual."

"Oh! Well, that's kinda why I came here, it wasn't Eggman, like usual"

"Do you know who?"

"Surge and Kit and a masked assailant… I think there might be a traitor in here…"

"What? How can you be so sure?"

"I'm not, but it's a hunch. So, if you don't mind me, I'll try to figure it out, but make sure to watch your back, okay?"

"…Okay, thank you."

"You're Welcome!" Amy leaves, leaving Jewel a lot more paranoid than previously. Call that an obvious success.

Amy goes around making more people paranoid. Even spreading a couple rumors about Sonic. People love rumors. People love talking about other people behind their back. Amy knows. But now she can use that to her advantage. Everybody talks. Which spreads like a plague to everyone. Which causes more panic. Perfect for a plan like this. Amy doesn't have to do most of the work, like usual. Amy happily goes back to Kit and Surge. To go to the next battle and cause even more problems.

After the second bigger attack. Amy goes back to find even more panic. Everyone is stressed and Jewel is doing terribly. Only letting Tangle see her so far. Even Lanolin isn't allowed in. Amy, however, is trusted by Jewel, so she is easily let in. She clued Jewel in after all. So how can Jewel not trust her?

"I have no idea what to do, Amy! I have no idea who the traitor could be!" Jewel confides in Amy, while stressing about their current predicament. Amy smiles for Jewel's sake and the fact that she has gotten away with her plan so far. Happiness radiates through her.

"Relax Jewel, I think we'll figure it out in due time. For a while just keep low, okay? I'm pretty sure the restoration can handle itself and if it can't, then I'll help" Amy gives Jewel a thumbs up, which seems to reassure the beatle. Who breathes out a sigh of relief.

"Thank you, Amy, thank you so much." Jewel says while going back to her work and keeping herself safe.

"Of course, Jewel!" Amy says

Amy goes outside, content with what she has gotten done, Lanolin approaches her with a concerned look on her face. Which is obvious as to why but Amy still listens.

"Is director Jewel okay?" Lanolin asks Amy, nervously holding a clipboard, probably filled with notes on how to help.

"Yeah she's fine, just don't sneak up on her, okay?" Lanolin nods and goes back to work, Amy smiles and leaves the building to once again head back first to her house to grab some supplies for herself and hammer then go to Surge and Kit's. Everywhere has cameras. Have to make sure she's covered from everything. Disguises are hard, especially when you don't have a secret identity or anything of the sort. So Amy has to improve her disguise and make sure it hides any details of her own. Nobody can or should be able to recognize her.

Amy gets there in due time. Ready for the next best stage of her plan. Killing Eggman. Finally time to get things in gear. Excitedly she goes over to The Trio's base of operations. She runs straight for Surge, who's waiting on a rock near the house; she notices Amy when she gets close. Standing up to interact with the hedgehog properly. Amy stops at the rock and looks up, Surge looks down, their eyes meet.

"You ready Surge?" Amy asks the tenrec who looks excited and definitely ready to go at least in Amy's eyes

"Absolutely, let's go pinky!" Surge exclaims and confirms to Amy

Amy pumps her fist in excitement and relays the plan to Surge, they tweak it a bit so of course Surge can get most of her destructive tendencies out, Amy doesn't mind, most of the time it seems to help. Kit also gives some smart suggestions which Amy adds to the plan. But the only way to actually accomplish a plan is to put it into action. So that's what they're going to do. After all this time, Eggman will be dead. The first out of the two to go. First Eggman then him. Once and for all. Call her obsessed, because she is. Amy will finish this and end this all.

"You don't think it's a coincidence?"

"They look too similar"

"Sonic, I think you're being paranoid."

"Tails, I'm not, I swear! They look exactly the same! You can't tell me otherwise!"

"Sonic…"

"Yes I know! Lack of motive, lack of understanding, lack of well… everything! It makes no sense! Yet I can't get it out of my head! It makes sense"

"Sonic, get some rest. Okay?"

"Fine"

Sonic walks out of Tails' lab as the other looks solemnly at him. Sonic goes to his room and stares at the ceiling. Thinking about how much that masked assistant looks like Amy. He's not crazy right? As far as he knows Starline didn't create an Amy doppelgänger, did he? Sonic might have to look more into that… maybe Tails is right, he needs some sleep.

Tails looks at the footage again. It looks nothing like her! Sonic is going crazy, Tails knows it. Sonic should be getting more sleep. Tails grabs a coffee and gets back to work on whatever gadget he has planned next. Tails has no idea what Sonic is talking about. It's too weird to even make sense. At this point, he might actually lose it! But that wouldn't happen.
