Tails looks at the footage. It makes sense while also not… Tails can't make Heads or Tails in this situation. Looking again and again and again. It feels off… Tails doesn't know why. Going to bed, Tails can't help but think about it. Tails falls asleep after a while. Only to get a rude awakening to a ringing phone. Picking it up to reveal a new, dark truth.

"Something happened."

Eggman has been killed. Some say it's been a long time coming. Some wonder who did it. Most people already have a theory: Sonic. The footage confirms it. It's grainy, distorted and messy but it shows a blue blur. Who knew Eggman would be so sloppy with cameras?

"I know this is short notice but I felt a need to call this meeting" Amy gathered a lot of people for this meeting

"Eggman's Dead, what else is there to say?" Knuckles says

"A lot, Knuckles; Like who killed him?" Amy says

"Does it matter?" Knuckles says back

"Someone died, Knuckles. No matter who it is, they must be punished accordingly. Imagine! After all this talk about mercy and a no killing policy, we just ignored this!" Amy exclaims, she's great at faking outrage, but at this point it's probably not that fake

"Fair enough, but who?" Tails questions.

"There's some footage if I may show it?" Amy asks and everyone around the table nods and Amy presses play on the video.

The video shows a blue blur going around, knocking down robots before going into Eggman's room. After that the footage cuts.

"That's all we were able to get." Amy says and looks at everyone else

Everyone goes silent.

"There's a reason Sonic isn't here today." Amy states, everyone nods or hums in understanding, not many objections.

"To be fair…" Tails starts

"There is no fair here Tails, that's obviously Sonic. As much as I hate to say it, the most likely circumstance is that Sonic killed Eggman." Amy slams her fists down, making Tails jump a bit.

"This wouldn't be the first time a clone appeared or something of the sort." Shadow comments.

"This is the first time someone has been killed because of that." Amy retorts back

"I just think we should look into the evidence more, that camera footage is shotty to say the least…" Tails says.

"If you don't want to believe me, that's fine. But we need to at least hold Sonic in prison or in isolation for a while." Amy suggests, everyone seems to agree but not many seem to be happy with the decision

"I'll call this meeting, adjourned." Amy says and walks out and so does everyone else, waiting for what happens next, and what will happen to Sonic

Tails examines the footage. Something isn't adding up, again. Looking again and again. Reversing the footage. Is Sonic melting or is Tails going crazy. Tails sits down in a chair, Tails doesn't believe Sonic would do something like that. It doesn't make any sense. It's weird. Maybe Tails isn't getting enough sleep… maybe that's it. Maybe going to bed more often is a good idea. Resting on all of this might be necessary. Sleep is very important after all.

Knuckles doesn't care that Eggman is dead, who would? Even if Sonic did do it, which makes no sense, why should he be punished? This is a good thing! Why would you ever want Eggman to be alive? Amy is overreacting by a lot, Knuckles keeps sleeping on the Master Emerald knowing that it's a bit more safe now than before. Knuckles is happy Eggman is gone. Even if he wasn't the one to kill him.

While Shadow is happy that Eggman is gone, he can't help but think that killing him was a bad idea. He doubts that Sonic did it. As far as he knows the doctor set this up. Eggman could absolutely fake his own death and then come back later with a big speech about tricking all of them and haha then get his butt kicked a minute later. Shadow might actually enjoy that. So maybe Eggman should die more often. That would be nice to kick his butt more.

Tangle is suspicious of this whole Sonic killing Eggman thing. Sonic isn't capable of killing someone, right? Even if he was, why would he do that? It doesn't make sense, Sonic is a leader, a kind one at that and knows the doctor for too long to kill him. Couldn't Sonic have arrested him or something else. Tangle doesn't know what to make of this. She wants to think about this for a little longer. Maybe talk with Whisper as well and see what she thinks.

Jewel believes Amy one hundred percent. Sonic could've absolutely killed Eggman. It makes perfect sense. Jewel saw that video, a bit grainy but still, that was Sonic. Some attitude as she saw him before. She absolutely Sonic can and would kill someone if he had too. But killing someone is taking it too far, even if it is Eggman. After all this time, why kill him now? It simultaneously makes perfect and no sense. Maybe he thought he wouldn't get caught? That makes sense, she'll probably go with that.

Amy has never felt any better. She goes home and celebrates. After all this time. After everything. She got rid of half the problem and the other half seems to only be going down the drain. This is almost perfect. A few shakey flaws here and there and getting the paint off of Surge was a pain but other than that, everything is on the up and up. Sonic won't know what hit him. It'll be such a relief after all of this. He will be in prison or dead or both. Soon enough.

Sonic is busy running through the forest. Enjoying his final moments before he's arrested and taken into custody. He doesn't even know yet. He's painfully unaware. Eggman didn't attack today so he is feeling good. Everything appears to be on the up and up for the hedgehog. However that doesn't seem to be the case. But for right now, he can enjoy. For a bit longer.
