The boys knew that they had a lot of explaining to do. But, there was one problem. They didn't know how to start. So much had happened. Finding the gems, the tryannodrones chasing them, learning they had super powers, and then Kira getting captured. All of this was something that they would wake up to in the morning. Then they would think "it was all just a dream." But, it wasn't a dream. It was for real! Both their teachers had their eyes locked on them and their arms crossed.

"Kira was taken by these strange creatures," Conner stated.

"Why would they take Kira?" Tommy wondered as he watched the boys reach into their pockets.

"I think it may have to do with this," Conner confessed as he showed Tommy the yellow gem.

"We better go look for Kira," Tommy suggested as he grabbed his car keys.

This was one time Conner and Ethan didn't enjoy driving in the sunshine. They didn't pay any attention to the blacktop road leading into the horizon. Nor did they acknowledge the drive was giving them a sense of freedom. Instead they wanted to know about those scaly creatures and the special gems that they found.

"What were those scaly creatures?" Conner asked.

"They are called Tryanndodrones," Tommy started as he keep his eye on the road. "They are working for Mesogog. A few years ago, I had an internship with Anton Mercer. We were trying to combine dinosaur DNA with technology."

"The same guy who came up missing a few years ago?" Ethan asked as he exchanged looks with Conner.

"Yes, Ethan," Kimberly continued. "Have you noticed anything unusual after you found the gems?"

"Kira tripped and let out a loud sonic scream and the tryannodrones where thrown backwards," Conner admitted as they were coming to a four way stop. "Ethan's skin got rough when the creature grabbed him and they were sent back flying. I think his skin was steel. Then when I got out numbered by the tryannodrones, I noticed I was able to out run them. It was like they were running in slow motion."

"Who wants the gems?" Ethan asked.

"Mesogog," Kimberly answered.

"How is this going to help us find Kira?" Ethan asked not noticing a portal opening. "It's not like she's going to fall out of the sky."

Kira fell right on top of the jeep. They all got out of the jeep and helped her get off. Kira dusted off her clothes as she looked around.

"First, we find these special gems," Kira complained. "Then I am kidnapped by scaly and slimy creatures."

A portal opened and a cyborg creature appeared and revealed his name was Zealtrax. Tommy instantly knew that he was working for Mesogog. But, he never saw this cyborg before? Was he there on the day the island exploded.

"You and your girlfriend can come with me or suffer consequences," Zealtrax declared. "What will it be?"

"We're not coming with you," Tommy smirked and Zeltrax came charging at him.

Tommy flipped Zeltrax over hard on to the pavement. The tryannodrones came running at the teens and they were using their new super powers against them. Zealtrax jumped up and kicked Tommy in the chest. Kimberly punched Zeltrax in the back and pushed him down. She punched him in the face as hard as she could. Just as the teens ran over to help, Zeltrax opened a portal.

"The war has only began," Zeltrax threatened as he disappeared through the portal.

"Dr. O, Ms. Hart, what happen?" Kira asked.

"We will explain everything to you tomorrow," Tommy promised as he got back in his jeep. "For now, I need to get you home."

The next day at school wasn't any better. School was dismissed early due to a monster attack. The three teens and Kimberly went with Tommy to his house.

"I know you come from different worlds. But, you need to put you differences aside," Tommy said as he handed each of them a morpher. "Believe it or not Kim and I came from different worlds."

"Dr. O, how is that eveb possible?" Kira asked.

"Kimberly did gymnastics and was a cheerleader when I first moved to Angel Grove. We met on my first day of school and she invited him to hang out with her and her friends," Tommy revealed. In the back of his head he was remembering becoming the green ranger. But, he wasn't about to tell them. It would only make things worse. " I instantly made friends with her group of friends. And I really liked Kimberly and wanted to be more than friends. But, she was one of the most popular kids at school. I thought there was a boy she already liked someone else. I finally made the first move when it was time to ask a girl to a dance. I asked Kimberly one day at the lake."

"We were talking and the next thing we knew was that we were sharing our first kiss," Kimberly continued. "And we went to the dance together. Then we were never apart."

"Ms. Hart, how does this apply to us?" Conner asked as he stared at his morpher.

"You will be on the same team and you will be fighting to protect Reefside," Kimberly explained."The more you get to know each other, you will discover that you have things in common that you never knew about."

"But, we aren't even capable of being rangers-"

"-Kira, you are capable of being rangers," Tommy corrected. "The gems would have chosen you if you weren't power ranger material."

The battle down town reminded Kimberly of her first day of being a ranger. She remembered fighting the putties, flying her zord for the first time, combining her zords with the others to make the megazord, and their battle with Zordon. That was only ten years ago. She never thought, she would be mentoring a team of rangers years later. But, with Tommy by herside, she could do it. Tommy told them their belts contain their weapons. And he told him how to gain control of their bio-dino zords. Tommy put his arm around her as they watched them form the megazord and defeat Zeltrax.

"Kim, thanks for helping me with this," he purred. "I always feared Mesogog would return. I just hope I can be as good as Zordon."

"Don't worry," Kimberly assured him. "You will do great. And I will be there with you every step of the way."

After the fight, they returned to Tommy's house. The morphers transformed into sliver bracelets. Tommy passed the bracelets to Conner, Kira, and Ethan. They placed their gem inside the bracelet.

"I know a lot has happened," Tommy said. "But, if you work as a team, no one can defeat you."

In the series, Tommy told them that they all had to put their differences aside. I thought since Kimberly was there they could use their different backgrounds as an example that people from different world can come together.
