Somewhere in an unknown location, Hazel Rainart and Arthur Watts are walking through the dark halls of an unknown building. There were many mercenaries walking by, eyeing on them suspiciously. They were on a mission by Salem to check on one of their strongest members, and the one that was supposed to be at the meeting a few months ago. Watts was calm yet annoyed by the glares he was receiving. He will never understand why his mistress allowed these ruffians into their ranks. Hazel, on the other hand, did not care for them. They are here for one mission and that's that. Then a brown-skin woman, wearing black mercenary uniform came over to the two men with a glare.
"Commander Makarov is in his office, you can see him, but don't anger him." She warns them before taking them to a metal doorway. They opened automatically, allowing them to enter. Once they did, they saw a man, sitting on black leather armchair, glaring at fire at the fireplace, fiddling with his hunting knife on the armrest.
"Commander Makarov, you have guests." Said the female mercenary.
Without even turning around, Makarov replied to her in a quiet yet firm tone. "You can go now, Shanice." He orders the woman.
She left the room, leaving two of Salem's subordinates alone with the leader. Watts looks around the room, noticing many newspaper clippings on the walls, a map of Remnant that has locations pinned with red strings tied on them, and many wanted posters. And it's all about the Grimm Girl. He knows very well about Makarov's hatred towards her. After all, that girl killed Makarov's daughter and half of his squadrons as if they were child's play. Watts never encountered her, but he did read news about her, and his mistress was interested in her. He never told this to anyone, but he was impressed by the young girl's intelligence. Unlike Cinder, she easily strategies everything from beginning to the end. He wonders why the Grimm Girl is joining those band of hooligans rather than showing her worth with Salem. He even preferred the Grimm Girl over Cinder as the new Fall Maiden, because her skills are much more sophisticated than Cinder's.
Soon, Makarov turns to them, revealing himself to his guests. Makarov is a muscular man with silver buzz but hair, a stubble beard, fair skin, and an eye that is dark as night. He has an eyepatch on his right eye that has a scar underneath it.
He glares daggers at the two men, not too happy about their arrival.
"What do you want?" Makarov asked rudely, grabbing a bottle of Whiskey and pours it on to his glass. His voice sounded rough and edged, like a knife cutting flesh.
The two men took a seat from the two chairs that were facing the desk of Makarov. Not bothered by his rudeness as they dealt with him before.
"Oh, we're just here to check on you, that's all." Watts said casually.
Makarov tsked and took a swing of his drink. "Cut the bullcrap, Watts. I already informed your boss that my group killed every huntsman in Mistral."
Watts frowned, not pleased by his blunt answer. But didn't show it. "Yes, well…she also sent us to ask you a favor."
"What now? I already have to deal with that cowardly headmaster's deed finding those huntsmen." Makarov said rudely, taking another swing of his drink.
Watts rested his chin on his hands, looking at Makarov casually, "No, it's about something else." Watts said to him casually. "It's about…her."
Makarov slams his glass hard onto the table, shattering it in the process. Hazel gave the unfazed Watts a sideway glare. The scientist knows how to get into people's nerves. He knew very well that Watts reminded Makarov of his many losses against the Grimm Girl. And how she evaded his attacks and captures. She was the one that killed Makarov's daughter, Yulia, and her team, taking down and almost ending the Terminus Group. So, yeah, Watts knew about Makarov's hatred towards her.
"What about that little bitch?" Makarov growled angrily, not bothered by the broken glass.
Watts gets to the point. "There are rumors that she has arrived on Mistral, with students of Beacon." Watts took out his Scroll and showed holographic projections of Voltaria, in her attire, along with her teammates. "There are rumors that they are trying to assist with Haven Academy, Salem wants you to…how do you say…do what you do best?"
Makarov just glared at him before taking a swing of his whisky bottle instead of using a new glass. After he stops with a loud exhale, he turns to the men in front of him.
"Tell me where that little bitch is, so I can finally fucking kill her!" Makarov said angrily.
"She ordered that you do not kill her." Hazel said to Makarov coldly.
Makarov glares at the giant. "The fuck do you mean don't kill her? She's a threat to this whole operation."
"Quite the contrary, Commander Makarov." Watts said to him calmly. "She wants to bring the girl alive to speak with her."
"And what? Asked that little bitch to join her? HA! Good luck with that." Makarov mocked before taking another swing. "That girl doesn't give a fuck about any of this shit. Capturing her alive is not an easy task, I know, I tried to capture her, so I can torture and kill her, but in the end, I lost half my men and my eye because of her and her Grimm Army,"
"Her skills are close to Salem's." Hazel said to Makarov.
"Yeah, that begs the question if that little bitch is her bastard child." Makarov said before grabbing a cigar from a box and lighting it up to smoke.
"I can assure you, Salem never had any children, for she doesn't have time for that." Watts said casually, "Just do your job, capture the Grimm Girl, bring her to Salem, and you will get paid."
Makarov wasn't too pleased by this but begrudgingly agreed to do so. "Anything else?"
"Yes, capture her silver-eyed companion." Watts points at Ruby's holographic image, "She is close to the Grimm Girl, capture them both and you will get a raise."
"Tsk, if those bitches don't cooperate with your boss?" Makarov questions, blowing a puff of smoke from his cigar.
"Then you can kill them." Watts replied casually.
This was enough to satisfy Makarov. "Fine, I'll bring them alive, I expect your boss to give us a raise." He said, putting his cigar on the ashtray.
"It will be done. Oh! Before I forget, please make sure that the attack on Menagerie was an attack of war." Watts added to him.
Makarov waved him off, "Yeah, yeah, I already sent a team to lure Grimm to that island. The attack there will come in a few days."
"Good to hear." Watts said before getting up. "It was a pleasure doing business with you, Commander. Now, if you excuse us, we will be heading out."
Makarov just grunts as Watts turns to leave but not before the mercenary leader flipped him off. Hazel simply nods as a sign of saying thank you before getting up as well, but before he leaves, he notices a picture of Makarov's daughter on his desk. She was an except copy of her father but her hair was long and was tied into a ponytail. Hazel understood that Makarov still loves and misses his daughter, and he could tell that he regretted the decision on sending her to that suicidal mission, even though his daughter was eager to take on the task. For years he has to live with the guilt of losing his daughter and failing to be a parent. Like how Hazel failed to protect his sister.
"The hell are you looking at?" Makarov asked Hazel rudely, glaring at him with his one good eye.
Hazel stared at him blankly and replied, "Nothing." He turns to leave with an awaiting Watts. "Inform us when the job is done."
"Whatever, you bastard." Makarov mutters, polishing his dagger.
Hazel wasn't fazed as he left the room, leaving Makarov alone. When they left, Makarov took a deep breath and exhaled through his nose, releasing his frustration. Until he gets up and lets out a yell before turning around and throws his dagger at a wanted poster of Voltaria, striking on the face.
Team WAVE, JNPR, Ruby, Yang, and Qrow were waiting at the landing docks for Weiss and Marionette. Voltaria received contact from Chariot about their arrival with passengers after saving them from the Queen Lancers and her Hive. They had asked a favor from Grandmaster Satori since he is a member of the council, he convinced the rest of the council to allow the one known as Chariot to enter the city, explaining that he is Weiss's Summon. Which was a total lie for he was Voltaria's entity, but she let it slide because the team needed the council's approval.
They saw a Chariot coming to view as his bat-winged horses landed on the ground, neighing loudly. The team watches as the carriage's door opens, revealing Weiss. They were relieved to see her safe and sound as she descended off the carriage, helping passengers off, with the help of the pilots and Marionette. The passengers and pilots were thanking Weiss and Marionette for saving them before they were taken away by the paramedics along with the huntress to be checked upon.
Once that was done, Chariot disappeared, returning back to Voltaria, before the group went over to Weiss and Marionette, greeting them and were relieved to see them okay.
"You sure you're okay?" Ruby asked Weiss, walking along the road.
They were heading to the Uta Clan Estate, to meet up with Team MUSE along with Team ABRN, Team TWNL, and the rest of Team SSSN. Sun wasn't with them since he's at Menagerie. There were few teams in Mistral that stayed and trained with the Uta Clan.
"I'm fine, really. Marionette and Chariot helped a lot." Weiss assures them, entering the estate.
As they entered the dojo, to their surprise, Team CFVY was there as well.
"Wow! Team CFVY, what are you guys doing here?" Jaune asked in surprise, entering the dojo with the others.
Coco Adel simply smiles at them. "We are here on a private mission."
"By whom?" Wade asked curiously.
"Me."
They looked up to see Glynda coming over with Grandmaster Satori and two of his warriors. Everyone was surprised to see her.
"Professor Goodwitch?" Everyone, minus Voltaria, spoke in surprise.
"Hello, students, Qrow." Glynda greeted them with a nod. "I see you're all doing well."
"Yeah, but…what brings you here?" Yanga asked the huntress.
"Voltaria informed me secretly about Lionheart's betrayal." Glynda said to them.
They know that Voltaria keeps in touch with Glynda, making sure she is kept up to date when they are traveling. It was a shocking revelation when Voltaria told Glynda through the Dream Realm. She was angered by the fact that Lionheart was the traitor, siding with Salem was a cowardly move. Glynda decided to go there in secret. Of course, she told Ozpin that she was suspicious about Lionheart not informing them and wishes to investigate without Lionheart's notice. Ozpin agrees and contacts Grandmaster Satori. The two are acquainted with each other and the Grandmaster agrees to bring Glynda in secretly without the council nor Lionheart knowledge. She brought along Team CFVY since they have extra credits as well as for them to be extra help in the situation. Team CFVY agrees to help on this secret mission since they owe Voltaria for saving them.
"So, what's the go plan?" Coco asked the group.
"We stay low key," Ruby explains the plan. "Lionheart may think we don't know about this, making him lower his guard. In the week, we will be ambushed by him and the Terminus Group."
"The Terminus Group? Why would Lionheart hire a mercenary group?" Velvet Scarlatina asked.
"To rule out our death was caused by them, covering up Lionheart's betrayal." Voltaria responded.
"I still can't believe he'd betrayed us like that…" Qrow said, clenching his fists a bit. "He told the Terminus Group of the other huntsmen's locations of their missions. One managed to escape and told the Uta Clan what happened."
"Yes, how is she by the way?" Glynda asked, referring to Heather Shield.
"She's stable but alive." Voltaria assures her guardian. "The Terminus Group did a number on her, but she managed to escape, allowing the members of Uta Clan to rescue her."
"That's good to hear." Glynda said in relief. "What about her family?"
"They're being transferred to a safe house here in the Uta Clan Estate." Grandmaster Satori said to Glynda. "It is much safer for them to stay here rather than their home; we worry that they might be targeted by the Terminus Group if they found out that Heather survived."
"Thanks again for helping us, Grandmaster Satori." Yang thanked the Head of the Uta Clan, "Without you on our side, we thought we're gonna deal with an army of mercenaries."
"Think nothing of it. I agree to help for the safety of this kingdom and rid the world of that lying coward." Grandmaster Satori said in a serious tone.
"I'm with you there." Qrow said in agreement.
"Anyways, what have you guys been up to?" Coco asked the group.
"Yeah, give us all the deets." Lars said to them.
The group looked at each other, worried that they should know little of their adventure. However, they need to know. Only Team MUSE, TWNL, Team ABRN, Team CFVY, the rest of Team SSSN, and the Grandmaster. So, they began telling them the truth of their mission. They told them what was going on, about the attack on Beacon, Salem, the Grimm, and more. Everyone listened with a mix of fascination, bewilderment, and curiosity.
"And that's why we're here, to stop another attack from Salem." Voltaria finished the explanation.
Everyone stared at her and her friends with wide eyes. Showing the same reaction that Qrow and Oscar had when they were told the truth.
"Wow…just…wow." Neptune said in shock.
"You guys have been through a lot." Velvet said with pity.
"Yeah, but we managed." Ruby assures them. "And we met new friends along the way."
"Oh, you mean your cute farm boy companion?" Sirena said playfully, winking at a blushing Oscar.
"Um…something like that." Voltaria mutters before looking at Grandmaster Satori. "This place is secure, right?
Grandmaster Satori nodded his head. "Yes, only we have access to this room. Why do you ask?"
"It's because…we have something to show you all." Voltaria nods at her friends and guardian, which they return the gesture before Voltaira turns to the group in front of them. "Regina, Wraith, Tabitha, Hannibal, please bring them out."
The entities brought Amaryllis, Levistus, Ripper, Ultima, and Blue out from the shadows. Fortunately, the dojo is massive, allowing the prehistoric beasts to stand tall. The group in front of them were in pure shock, jaws dropped, minus Fox Alistair and Grandmaster Satori, as they stared at the beasts in front of them with bulging eyes. The giant beasts before them stared at the humans and Faunus with curious eyes. Amaryllis and Ripper recognized them during the Battle of Beacon. And considering them as pack members (well, most of them, they were still skeptical with Sun and Neptune, unsure if they are pack members since they can be troublesome from what their Serious Mother told them). Meanwhile, Levistus was curious about the humans and Faunus before him. He was curious about their appearance, different from the Arcanum Animalium (which is Faunus in his land) as they lack the prehistoric animalistic traits. Of course, humans do not exist in Pellucidar, and he was yet to understand the newer species of Faunus. Blue, on the other hand, was skeptical of the people in front of them. They weren't like the ones that she is traveling with, and she is unsure if she could trust them.
"Everyone, say hello to Amaryllis, Levistus, Ripper, Ultima, and Blue." Ruby introduced with a smile. "Our friends."
There was silence from the crowd, too busy staring at the giants before them. Until Neptune broke the ice of silence by screaming on top of his lungs while pointing at them.
"HOLY GUACAMOLE! YOU HAVE DINOSAURS!"
"…yes." Came the group's reply.
"And you guys have been keeping it a secret for almost a year?" Coco asked, lowering her sunglasses to look at the dinos.
"…Pretty much." Jaune said with a shrug.
"Then why didn't you guys tell us in the first place?" Asked Scarlet David.
"Things were complicated back then, especially with General Ironwood and the media." Voltaria answered truthfully. "And this time, I want to give you all a heads up unlike last time."
"Meh, we didn't mind." Uri said in assurance. "I can't believe you guys were traveling with dinosaurs."
"How did you guys even meet them?" Asked Willy, observing the dinosaurs with fascination.
"Long story, but me and Volty found Ama and Rippy when they were eggs and raised them in secret before we told the others." Ruby explains sheepishly, giggling when Ripper brought his head for a hug, which Ruby gave him.
"We met Levistus at Patch when washed ashore on the beach in the middle of the night." Jaune pats Levistus, who responds with a gentle warble.
Nora, who dramatically slides on half-kneeling position and her arms spread at the blue streak Velociraptor, "And Blue here we met on our way to Mistral!" Nora said cheerfully, shaking her hands with dramatic effects while smiling, earning a side glance from Blue.
"And what about him?" Nash gestures his head towards Ultima. "Where'd ya met him?"
"Oh, no, actually, I was the one that met Ultima first." Oscar said, patting his friend's leg. "I helped him get better and the two of us became friends."
"Wow, so then…how did you meet with each other?" Velvet asked, looking at Amaryllis with fascination.
"I'll answer that question!"
Everyone was confused by this before Mari popped out from Oscar's pocket shoulder. Like how she did it before when meeting Voltaria and the others, waving at the new members with a bright smile on her face.
"Hello! I'm Maristela the Star Pixie! But you can call me Mari! Mari greeted them cheerfully.
And just like that, the girls did the same thing like Voltaria's female companion squealed in delight at Mari and gushed on her with pure happiness. The boys were completely surprised by the fact that Oscar has a small pixie with him. After the girls finished coddling over Mari, Voltaria's entities appeared, surprising everyone, especially Grandmaster Satori.
"I didn't properly introduce you guys to my entities," Voltaria said, gerturing to her entities. "Everyone, these are Regina, Wraith, Tabitha, and Hannibal."
The entities greeted and the students of Haven and Team CFVY greeted them back. Grandmaster Satori was astonished by the sight before him. He had heard tales of this, but he never thought they were real.
"Unbelievable." He mutters, looking at the magnificent beasts, entities, and Mari in fascination. "I heard many tales of giant beasts of old times, spiritual beings that protected the huntsmen, and ancient fairies that were only in a mere fairytale."
I assure you, we are as real as the ground on which we stand and the air that you breathe. It is no mere fairytale. Regina said to Grandmaster Satori. We have been hidden for many years, we have never revealed ourselves until now.
"Fascinating." Grandmaster Satori said in astonishment. "In all my years, I have never believed I could meet them up close and personal."
"And now you have." Voltaria said to him calmly. "I am impressed that you know about them."
"My dear child, I have studied a lot of forgotten knowledge that the public has yet to know."
"Really, grandfather?" Uri asked him curiously.
"Indeed, when I was young, my grandfather would tell me a tale of a land that was filled with creatures that we thought were lost in time." Grandmaster Satori explained to them. "My ancestors call it the Lost World."
"Lost World, huh?" Wade said in surprise. "Sounds similar to the ones that Regina calls the Lost Continent."
"Lost Continent?" Ekko asked curiously.
"Yeah, turns out, the place where the dinos live was part of Remnant's continent before they were split up." Nora explains happily, riding on the head of an unamused Levistus.
"What was our continent called back before it split apart?" Asked Sage.
The great continent was called Terra Unitas, the land of unity. Regina explained to them. It was a grand continent that was filled with life until the Magna Perditio, the Great Destruction, caused the continents to break.
"Woah, that's heavy." Neptune said, sounding scared.
"Indeed, I am amazed by your wisdom, Lady Regina." Grandmaster Satori said with great respect.
Thank you for your kind words, Grandmaster Satori. Although, there are other entities with greater knowledge than I, but may or may not be as cooperative as we are.
"What do you mean?" Asked Melodia.
Entities often help those that make contact with them. However, sharing a bond with an entity can be difficult. Regina said, getting everyone's attention. When attempting to share a bond or a contract with an entity, the person must have a strong mind, will, and an aura to withstand the entity.
"Really?" Jaune asked in shock as he and the others did not expect this.
"She is correct," Grandmaster Satori said. "There were old and forgotten records that showed huntsmen were able to use entities long ago. Unlike summons that people used Glyphs to create and control, entities give strength and assist those that they are partnered with. Sadly, however, there were incidents when a huntsman was not able to withstand the power of the entities."
"Why is that?" Ruby asked the grandmaster.
"If the huntsman did not master his or her bond with the entity that they are partnered with, they will suffer a mental breakdown."
"A mental breakdown?" Pyrrha spoke in shock, for she nor the others knew about the consequences when having an entity.
"He's right, there are entities that are so powerful, no mortal mind can handle all of them." Voltaria said to them.
"But how come you can do it?" Nash asked Voltaria.
"My Semblance allows me to see and feel spiritual beings, including entities. That's how I was able to stay alive as well as training by them. All thanks to my spiritual connection."
"Indeed, it is very rare for a huntsman to be born with that such ability but those who are not, attempted to try to make contracts with entities without proper training and continuously used them. And because of this, they ended up losing their minds, their sanity, and suffered a terrible death." Grandmaster Satori said in a solemn tone.
Everyone, minus Glynda and Voltaria, gasped at his words.
"They die when they abuse the power of the entities?" Jaune asked in complete horror.
That is correct, Jaune, some huntsmen used the entities' powers for assistance, but they only used it for the time being. However, those who are constantly using the entity's powers, they will suddenly suffer an aneurysm, cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, uncontrollable bleeding from the ears, eyes, mouth, and nose, or become in vegetative state. Regina lists out the consequences of what would happen when someone abuses the entities' powers.
The students in Haven and Beacon have their eyes widened or mouths dropped at this information. They were amazed that Voltaria could handle such power. Then again, she was born with this spiritual ability, allowing her to use multiple entities. Soon, Voltaria changed the subject and informed their new members that they need to explore the forest of Mistral. She believed that there are more dinosaurs that were washed up from Pellucidar. Team ABRN couldn't come along because they had to come along with the Uta Clan members to investigate some areas in Mistral for any signs of Terminus Group members. The ones that were going with them on this dino mission were Team MUSE, CFVY, TWNL, and the rest of Team SSSN. Grandmaster Satori made a personal assignment for them to a scouting mission to fight off any Grimm that might enter their territory. It was a good excuse since the council was too busy to even further question him, even Lionheart.
So, they left for the forest with Glynda, Voltaria had to stay in her Victoria Arc disguise until they reached the deepest part of the area. Once they were far enough, Voltaria's entities brought the dinos and hybrids out of the shadows, helping them search for any dinosaurs nearby. Levistus was sniffing the air. Due to the fact that he is a master level, he recognizes any species of dinosaurs by their scent.
"So…Grimmy?" Sirena asked, breaking the silence as they walked farther from the city. "Is that really what you look like without the mask?"
Voltaria glances at her, walking alongside with the others while Levistus was taking the lead. "Oh, um…no, actually. This face is not mine."
Serina tilted her curiously. "That's not really your face?"
"Nope."
Just then, Neptune came by sliding over to Sirena's side with a suspicious look. "Wait, so you stole that face?!"
Voltaria gave him a strange look. "What? No, I didn't steal it, I copied the face from an old picture book."
"A picture book?" Asked Sirena curiously, "What picture book?"
"It was called 'The Little Baker'." Voltaria responded.
"Oh! So that's why your face was so familiar." Melodia exclaims in realization. "The Little Baker was once my favorite story about a young girl named Sofia who loves to bake delicious pastries for the people to make them feel happy."
"That's correct, and also to lead our enemies astray if they ever try to find my face in any facial records." Voltaria explains her plan.
"Leaving a false trail, smart move." Uri praised, knowing very well of that skill.
"That's right, they will then later learn a disappointing truth that they have thought found my face was actually from a picture book." Voltaria said.
Neptune, however, was still skeptical as he had his hands together and pointed them at her. "Sooo…you didn't steal that face?"
"Ahem." Glynda cleared her throat, walking a few from them, giving Neptune a serious glare.
Seeing this, Neptune nervously chuckles and slide back to his group. Voltaria shook her head before turning back to her attire. So there would be less drama. The group split up a bit to find any source of the dinosaurs whereabouts. They check deeper within the area, making sure to stay close together. Velvet was father from the group as she was taking some pictures of the forest before a monarch butterfly caught her eye as it landed on a strange rock. The Rabbit Faunus smiled at it as she took a quick picture. When her camera flashes, the supposed 'rock' started to shake, causing Velvet's heart to stop as she follows the rock with camera before she came face to face with a giant apex predator.
It was a theropod dinosaur that had prominent ridges that ran vertically from the top of its forehead and continued downward, occupying about half of the length of the skull overall. Its dorsal surface was covered by a regular pattern of sharp projections that started at the area near the neck and went all the way down to the area just below its pelvic region. With small spines that ran the length of the creature's tail until it ended. The creature's mouth, which lacks lips because it is lipless, has teeth that protrude unevenly from it that resemble the dental structure of a modern crocodilian species. And it displays a coloration that combines deep brown and gray tones with a hint of lush green.
Velvet froze, feeling her heart pounding on her chest. Her eyes did not move away from the dinosaur's golden eyes. She didn't dare to move away, even if her team and the others came. But they all stood far from her when they saw the giant prehistoric beast.
"Wh-what is that?" Neptune whispers in fear at the sight.
"An Allosaurus?" Yang guessed in a whispered tone.
Voltaria shook her head, "No, it's a Giganotosaurus."
Glynda's eyes widened by this. She was researching dinosaurs when she discovered that they were still alive. "The Largest known terrestrial carnivore." She whispers out, adding to Voltaria's words.
"Velvet, whatever you do, don't move. It won't attack if you're not a threat." Wade said in a hush tone which Velvet heard.
"Ehh…" Was Velvet's response as she was too afraid to even utter a sentence.
Yatsuhashi looked over the group, panic was in his eyes as his teammate was trapped by the gaze of the Giganotosaurus. "What do we do?" He asked them quietly. "Velvet is a sitting duck there!"
"Oh! Tell her to play dead!" Neptune whispers his suggestion.
Everyone turned to him slowly with scrutinizing or blank looks. Knowing very well playing dead was never the option.
"That doesn't work, you numbskull." Voltaria said quietly and annoyed before she notices Levistus at a distance with the other predators. The Spinosaurus was growling softly towards Voltaria, like if he was explaining something that made her eyes widen. "I have an idea, but I need to communicate with Velvet telepathically and follow my instructions."
Coco nodded her head. "Do it."
Voltaria understands and uses her telepathic ability to communicate with Velvet. She was lucky that Velvet wasn't startled since Fox Alistair's semblance is telepathy, the Rabbit Faunus was used to it.
"Velvet, listen to me." Voltaria spoke telepathically, receiving a nod from Velvet. "Follow my words and whatever you do, don't panic, she might think you're going to challenge her."
"H-Her?" Velvet stutters nervously in her mind.
"Yes, the Giganotosaurus is a female. Now, follow my words, and stay calm. Okay?" Voltaria said, coaxing the scared Rabbit Faunus.
Velvet nodded her head nervously, not taking her eyes off the giant predator while clutching her camera tightly.
Levistus instructed what Voltaria had to say towards Velvet, so she could speak with the Giganotosaurus. "Xocce, A um dumo Velvet."
Velvet gulped nervously and held her camera close to her chest. "X-Xocce…A-A…u-um d-d-dumo V-Vel-Velvet." She stutters out in fear, doing her best to speak the language.
The Giganotosaurus tilts her head, understanding Velvet's words, even if she was stuttering. The group watched in fascination as the Giganotosaurus was calmly looking at Velvet as she greeted her back.
"Wow, what did she say to it?" Asked Tyson.
"Her, the Giganotosaurus is a female." Voltaria corrected, "And Velvet greeted her by using the language called Saurian. Their ancient language. Levistus would instruct me to teach Velvet how to say it to the Giganotosaurus."
"Did you get the name Giganotosaurus?" Asked AJ.
"Yes, her name is Jia." Voltaria answered them. "And Levistus recognizes her. She is one of the best fire users back at his home, Pellucidar."
"Wait, fire user? Are you saying she is one of those elite dinos that Levistus mentioned?" Evo asked.
"Yup, and Jia is close to becoming a master level." Voltaria said, watching as Jia the Giganotosaurus was interacting with a scared Velvet.
"Can somebody tell us what you guys are talking about?" Asked a very confused Sage.
"We'll explain everything later, but right now, Velvet needs to make a bond with Jia." Voltaria said to the group.
"Why?" Scarlet asked, still very confused like the others.
"So, she will know that Velvet and us are not a threat." Voltaria responded blankly before turning back to the sacred Velvet. "Okay, Velvet, be ready for what you're about to say."
Velvet nodded and took a deep breath to speak up. "Ak aj daso ke mook 0ei, Jia. Sud A ujb, xen tat 0ei wok xoho?" It is nice to meet you, Jia. Can I ask, how did you get here?
Jia responded with grunts and growls, explaining to her about how she got here. Fortunately for Velvet, Voltaria understood her and shared this information with everyone.
"Jia said that she and her friends were trying to escape the storm on Pellucidar. They came here to rest and try to find a way back home." Voltaria explained to everyone through telepathy.
"Friends? So, she's not alone?" Melodia questions out.
"Apparently so, and they're not far, I can sense them close by." Voltaria explained to them, looking around the area.
"Try to make Velvet ask Jia where they are." Glynda said towards Voltaria and Levistus.
Voltaria and Levistus nodded before helping Velvet to respond towards Jia. "Nxoho uho 0eih vhaodtj?" Where are your friends?
Jia suddenly lifted her head and let out a bellowing call that could shake the ground. Everyone stayed balanced as the Giganotosaurus called to her friends. Once she stopped, two unknown roars were heard, one which Levistus was familiar with. Soon, two figures emerged from the trees, shocking everyone. The dinosaurs that were with the Giganotosaurus are an Allosaurus and a dinosaur that slightly resembles a Spinosaurus.
Levistus's eyes widen at the familiar sail predator and lets out a small surprised growl. This caught Voltaria off guard as she looked at Levistus with a strange look under her mask. "Wait, that's your nephew?"
"Nephew?!" Everyone exclaimed in surprise.
"You have a nephew?!" Jaune asked in shock.
"Since when!?" Nora added with her jaw dropped.
"And why does he look different from you?" Ren added, looking at the strange Spinosaurus.
Levistus responded with a growl, allowing Voltaria to translate. "He says: That's because he has a relative who happens to be a cousin of his species."
"Understandable since the Oxalaia is a cousin to the Spinosaurus." Willy said, adjusting his glasses.
Everyone turned to him in surprise. "You know what this dino is?" Asked Coco.
"Yes, I saw it on one Dr. Patrick Port's documentary. He and Dr. Kalokaíri explained about the subspecies or cousins of some dinosaurs, for instance the cousin of the Spinosaurus is the Oxalaia."
"And that Oxalaia is Levistus's nephew of his cousin." Voltaria said, looking at the predators with a curious look. "Such a strange turn of event."
"Then what's your nephew's name?" Lars asked Levistus.
Levistus lets out a small growl and Voltaria translates it. "His name is Nile."
Nile the Oxalaia spotted his uncle and let out a gentle roar, greeting Levistus happily. The old Spinosaurus greeted his nephew back as Nile came over, making low growls like he was talking with his uncle.
"Hey, Grimmy, does Levistus know the Allosaurus's name?" Sirena asked Voltaria as she and her team looked at the Allosaurus with curious eyes.
"Her name is Alanza, she's one of the daughters of a friend of his back at home." Voltaria answered.
"Alanza, that's a pretty name." Ekko commented with a smile, looking at the Allosaurus.
Knowing that the situation is now calm down, Voltaria called out to Velvet to come back, but the rabbit Fanuns preoccupied as she was busy admiring the Giganotosaurus with fascination. Jia, who was looking at Velvet, was curious about the little device in her hands. Using her snout, she gently nudges it, causing Velvet to look at her in confusion.
"She's curious about your weapon, Velvet." Voltaria said telepathically.
Velvet looks at her camera and then to Voltaria. "Really?" She asked, earning a nod from the Grimm Tamer. Velvet looks back at Jia and then her camera. "You wanna see?"
Jia tilted her head and watched as Velvet showed her pictures of various weapons Velvet took along with nature, which she will transfer to her Scroll later. Jia was fascinated by the fact of this little box carrying many drawings inside. Clearly, these dinosaurs have no idea about technologies. Meanwhile, Alanza the Allosaurus was looking at Team MUSE with curious eyes, seeing how dazzling their attire was. Nile the Oxalaia was curious about Team TWNL since they look alike. And the rest of Team CFVY went over to Jia and were amazed how calm she is, and took a liking to her and she liked them as well. As Team CFVY, TWNL, and MUSE bonded with their new dino friends, the rest of Team SSSN felt left out since they too wanted to bond with a dinosaur of their own.
Anyways, the group went off to find a cave for the dinos and hybrids to rest and hide, it has to be big and has enough space for them to explore and stretch their legs. While they search, Blue the Velociraptor lifts her head, hearing something from a distance before letting out a small bark like roar. That caught everyone's attention.
"Blue? What's wrong?" Ruby asked the Velociraptor.
Blue did not respond, instead she ran off in full speed, startling them in the process. Ruby called out but Blue was too far gone. Ripper, Voltaria, and Ruby decided to go after her and will meet up with the others soon, since they need to find a place for the dinos. Voltaria's entities stayed behind with the group to help ensure their protection as Ruby and Voltaria got on Ripper and followed Blue's scent.
Blue was fast, but Ripper was faster, he was able to catch up to Blue and found her standing near an abandoned building. Eyeing the building with suspicion, there were no signs of life nor any emblem to show who owns this structure. Soon, Blue enters the building, followed by Ripper with Ruby and Voltaria on his back, catching up to the blue raptor.
But as they entered the building, they were not aware that they were being watched.
"Blue! Slow down!" Ruby called out to the raptor, but Blue continued on. "What's gotten into her?"
"She said she smells her sisters here." Voltaria said Ruby. "She's following their trail that leads here."
"Well, why didn't she say so?" Ruby said with a smile before patting Ripper's neck. "Okay, Rippy, follow Blue."
Ripper obeyed and followed Blue through the abandoned corridors, boxes were scattered and papers that appeared to be old business documents or research files. Voltaria guessed that this was some sort of establishment that conducts business or research, but must have shut down due to the budget cuts or Grimm. She then was cut off when they heard Blue roaring. Following the source, they saw Blue sniffing around what appears to be a business room. Ruby and Voltaria got off from Ripper's back and went over to Blue, who continued searching.
"Find anything, Blue?" Ruby asked the blue raptor.
Blue responded by making chittering sounds, indicating that she smelled her sisters' scents here. She knew that her sisters were here, probably left to go hunting. They were about to investigate further when Voltaria senses something and Ripper and Blue notices it too. Without any warning, Voltaria quickly flips over the desk and uses it as a shield for both her and Ruby while Ripper shields Blue with his impenetrable scales as a barrage of bullets comes raining down at them.
"AAHHH! What's going on!" Ruby screamed as she readied her Crescent Rose in its sniper rifle form.
Voltaria peeks behind the corner of the table to see a group of armed soldiers firing at them. Even though bullets were coming at them, Voltaria saw one of the attackers' uniforms emblems. It shows a skill with two guns.
"It's the Terminus Group!" Voltaria growled in anger, summoning Blood Moon.
"What?! Why are they here?!" Ruby panicked.
"They must have been close by and thought that I'm easy picking," Voltaria said before pointing Blood Moon at them.
Blood Moon fires multiple barrages of energy blasts at the Terminus Group. Some got hit and were knocked out while others took cover while firing. Ruby helped out by firing fire dust bullets. Ripper, seeing that his mothers were in trouble, quickly picks up a table with his jaw and throws it at the mercenaries, blocking their path.
"We gotta go!" Ruby exclaimed before they ran off to another exit, which leads to another corridor.
They ran to find an exit but they were not aware that the mercenaries planted explosives on the building and remotely detonated it. Causing a huge explosion that caused half the building to collapse.
And everything went dark.
Beneath the debris and rubble, Ripper the Indoraptor emerges out from it, shaking the heavy concrete off his back. Ripper felt dizzy at the sudden attack. He was fortunate enough to survive due to him being a hybrid. He then began to worry for Momma Red, Serious Mother, and Blue since they got caught in the blast. Using his tracking skills, Ripper follows Momma Red's scent which leads to a deeper corridor.
But as he did, he saw Ruby on the floor, unmoving, and it didn't even seem like she was breathing.
Ripper became worried and quickly went over to his Momma Red, checking on her, letting a warble in hopes she responds. But she didn't not respond nor moved, as she lay on her back, one arm spread on the other over her stomach, and her eyes remained closed. Ripper whimpers in sadness as he nudges his snout against her side, but has no reaction. When Ripper made a small whine, some of the remaining mercenaries came to check for survivors, but only to see the black hybrid dinosaur was still alive while nudging Ruby to wake up.
The Terminus Group was shocked to see the dinosaur still alive. They could've sworn the explosion killed it. Guess they were wrong.
"Oh shit, it's still alive!?" Exclaimed the first mercenary.
Hearing the voice of the mercenary, Ripper's sorrow was replaced into pure rage. Knowing very well that it was their fault that his Momma Red is hurt. Turning to mercenaries, he lets out a powerful roar that shakes the earth, causing the mercenaries to open fire. Sadly, however, the bullets have no effect on Ripper as they just bounced off his body. Ripper didn't even flinch when they shot him. Without any warning, Ripper activated his aura and activated lighting energy, before shooting a bolt of lightning from his jaws, sending it towards the mercenaries. They quickly dodged and yelled as the lightning exploded, sending them flying. A mercenary was unfortunate to send flying towards Ripper as the Indoraptor used his tail to swat him away, sending him flying to an unstable wall, and it soon fell, crushing him instantly. Ripper roars loudly before charging at the men, forcing them to retreat. They were yelling in fright as Ripper charged towards the remaining mercenaries. His roar mixed with the blood curdling screams of the mercenaries echoed through the area.
While Ripper kills off the mercenaries with blinding rage, a shadowy figure approaches the unmoving Ruby. Once close, a gentle white hand caresses Ruby's face, before the face of Crimson Appears, devoid of all emotions, staring at Ruby like an owl.
"Awake, Ruby Rose."
Ruby lets out a loud gasp, regaining her consciousness, her eyes widen in alert as she feels her heart jump start like a car. She quickly sat up, ignoring the pain on her whole body, as she looked around in panic while clutching her chest. She felt her mind was racing as she recalls the event the transpired. She, Volty, and Ripper were chasing Blue, they were attack by some Terminus Group, followed by an explosion…
"Rippy! Volty! Blue!" Ruby shouted her friends' names in a panic.
Ruby slowly got up to her feet and balanced herself. She still felt a little wobbly due to her sudden awakening before she picks up Crimson Rose and searches for her friends. Then she heard a small bell chimed, causing Ruby to look down on her skirt's pocket to see Flare the Dream Flame, peeking out with worry. She looks scared of what has happened. And was worried about Ruby and the others.
"It's okay, Flare. We'll find them." Ruby assures her companion.
Checking her surrounding area, trying to find any signs of Ripper, Voltaria, and Blue, but they were nowhere to be seen. She became worried before calling out for them loudly.
"Rippy! Volty! Blue! Where are you guys!?"
Ruby calls out for them again and again but no response, only her voice echoed through the empty halls. As she limped away, she wasn't aware that her shadow moved on its own, as if it was watching her.
Somewhere else, the rest of the mercenaries that didn't encounter Ripper yet were searching through a different corridor to find the Grimm Girl and the red hooded girl. They planned on making the building collapse on them, in hopes to either kill the girls or render them unconscious. However, they didn't expect to find them being accompanied by strange dinosaurs. They hope they could get those dinos alive and sell them to the black markets.
But as they searched, they couldn't find the bodies of the girls nor dinosaurs. They were so focused on finding them, they were not aware of a shadowy figure watching their every move.
One the mercenaries spotted something on the ground, and picked it up, finding out it was the Grimm Girl's mask. It didn't take him long to realize that she's close by and presumably either dead or unconscious.
"Hey, Woodfil, I found a…" The man who was about to respond was only to be cut off when he was dragged into the shadows, screaming as raptorial roars were heard, followed by flesh being ripped apart.
"Stanford!" Yelled Woodfil before loading his rifle. "Open fire!"
He and the mercenaries fired blindly through the shadows, in hopes to kill whatever was hidden in the darkness. Unfortunately for them, they were taken off one by one. Their screams were mixed with the roars and flesh ripping and bones breaking. Until Woodfil was all alone. He fearfully aimed his gun in random places, in hopes to shoot the creature. His teammates screamed in silence, indicating that they were killed by this creature.
Just then, something hard kicked him on the back, forcing him to be onto the ground. He tried to reach his gun but a raptor's foot and deadly toe claw steps on it, preventing the man from reaching it. Looking up in fear, he saw a teal color raptor, glaring at him with a sharp growl. The man felt his heart pounding through his chest as the predator stared at him with a deadly gaze.
"I wouldn't move if I were you. They don't like guns." Came a demonic voice of a girl.
Woodfil hesitantly looks up to see Voltaria walking in the shadows, her Semblance activated, revealing a demonic look as Blue and two more raptors. One was forest green with dark green vertical stripes running down her back. And the other is brown with dark blue striping as well as having dark blue around her eyes, and has a scar on the left side of her muzzle.
Voltaria's cold eyes glared at the man with disgust and anger, already learning about the group's deeds on eliminating her and Ruby. She was fortunate to escape, thanks to Blood Moon, and she knew that Ruby survived since Voltaria used bits of her shadow ability to take her and Ripper to a safe distance. Only she and Blue were in another corridor, where they were found by Blue's sisters, who came back from hunting and heard all the commotion. They were reunited happily before they all worked together to hunt down the mercenaries that harm their packmates.
"You and your team have some nerves attacking me and my friends." Voltaria said through his mind in an icy tone. "You think you can take us down by collapsing an entire building on top of us, but you are wrong."
Blue and two of her sisters slowly stalked over to Woodfil, causing the man to panic at the approaching raptors.
"I know your boss has a strong hatred towards me and he could hunt me if he wishes, but no one dares harm my friends." Voltaria glares at the panicked filled Woodfil. "However, you have something that I want to know."
She lifted her hand in front of Woodfil's face. Due to her psychic ability being part of her Semblance, to her ability, Voltaria could see people's memories. She saw him talking to Makarov about the attack on Haven and Menagerie, so they could cause chaos and allow Salem to have the upper hand. As well as capturing her and Ruby to give to Salem, and if they didn't cooperate with Salem, then the Terminus Group can kill them. After seeing this, Voltaria withdrew her hand and backed up a bit.
"I've seen enough." Voltaria said coldly before glancing at Blue. "Bacc xam." Kill him.
Without any warning, the raptors roared and pounced at the screaming man, mutilating him with no mercy. While Voltaria stood there with an unfazed look as the man screamed for mercy and blood spilled to the ground. Once his screams die down, Voltaria deactivates her Semblance before grabbing her mask that she got after Blue after she dragged Stanford to the darkness and killed him. Putting it one, she turns back to the raptors, who just finished their kill.
"Let's go, we need to find Ruby and Ripper." Voltaria orders before she turns away with the raptors following her from behind.
Ruby was limping through the corridor, following the sound of gunshots and screams, followed by Ripper's roar. It was coming outside of the building and she was fortunate enough that there was a huge opening for her to go out. But once Ruby exited the building, the red reaper huntress dropped her weapon on the ground and covered her mouth with both her hands, gasping in shock and her eyes widened at the horrifying sight. Scattered on the ground were the remaining rogue mercenaries. They were all massacred and laying dead on the ground, pools of their own blood.
Her heart was pounding, slowly realizing that it was Ripper's doing since he was the only one that had the strength to do this. He must have thought that the Terminus Group killed her and was in full rage to avenge her supposed death. And clouding his judgment.
Ruby needs to find Ripper before he gets himself hurt or gets more people killed by his blind rage. So, she picked up her weapon, and she continued to walk and pass all the corpses Ripper had killed, not daring to look at all the dead mercenaries. She then hears Ripper's roar from a distance and follows it quickly with all her strength. There, near a cliff, she saw Ripper looming over the last mercenary, who was a girl and was a bit older than Ruby, and was ready to rip her to pieces. Ignoring the girl's pleas for mercy.
Upon seeing this, Ruby knew she needed to stop Ripper from killing the last mercenary girl. She may have valuable information. Ruby quickly limps over to Ripper, calling out to the black hybrid.
"Rippy, wait! Stop it! Please!"
Ripper's anger vanishes as he hears Ruby's voice and he turns head around instantly. He saw Momma Red was okay, limping, but okay. He roars happily and sprints towards Ruby. He stops in front of her, making a worried growl, asking her if she was alright since he notices her limping. Ruby hugs Ripper's head happily and relieved, whispering to him gently.
"I'm okay, Rippy." Ruby assures the giant predator. "I was so worried about you, but I'm glad you're safe." She gently strokes his snout, earning gentle purrs from the hybrid as Ripper nuzzled her happily that she was okay and alive.
Then they turn their heads towards the last mercenary, who is lying on the ground, breathing heavily as she fearfully looks at Ripper. The Indoraptor growls at her savagely, and was about to stalk towards her to finish her off, but Ruby managed to calm the black hybrid Dinosaur and told him to stand down. She had enough bloodshed for today after she witnessed a brutal massacre that Ripper created.
"Rippy, that's enough." Ruby said to him gently.
Ripper backed away but continued glaring at the female mercenary. Ruby needs to know why the Terminus Group was after them.
"Who are you and what do you want from us?" Ruby asked, holding Ripper's head.
And who hired you to capture us alive?
The girl glared at them. Even though she was still frightened, she would not tell them about the plan.
"None of your business!" The girl yelled at Ruby. "I'm not telling you anything! Not you, the Grimm girl, or your strange dinos!"
Ripper growls, angry that she dares insult his Momma Red! He was ready to kill the mercenary until a red light flashed from behind them and like a rocket, Blood Moon came zooming in, striking on the ground next to the mercenary girl, scaring the living daylights out of her.
"You shouldn't have been rude to my friend, Alicia." Voltaria's cold voice came.
The girl named Alicia gasped in shock before she, Ruby, and Ripper turned towards the source to see Voltaria, wearing her mask, come over with Blue and her sisters. Voltaria was very angry right now, for this girl was working for the man that tried to hunt her down.
"You know, I don't appreciate someone bullying my friend." Voltaria said in a cold tone.
"How…how did you know my name?" Alicia asked in fear, eyes widened like dinner plates.
Voltaria turns towards Alicia blankly. "You seriously asked me that question after you refused to answer my friend's question."
"Volty! You're okay." Ruby said in relief.
"Yeah, sorry for the late rescue, I was preoccupied on dealing with the rest of her team and reuniting Blue with her sisters." Voltaria answered while glaring at a scared Alicia. "Although, you don't have to bother asking her questions, I already know that their boss was hired by Salem to capture us and if we don't corporate, they'll kill us."
Alicia's eyes widened in horror at this information as she was about to protest when Blood Moon suddenly got out from the ground and went back to Voltaria's hand at such speed in a blink of an eye. She points Blood Moon at the petrified Alicia.
"So, you are no longer of use now." Voltaria said as Blood Moon readied to fire a beam of pure energy at Alicia.
Alicia's eyes widened in horror as she shielded herself and screamed. "AH!"
"No, Volty! Wait!" Ruby quickly gets in front of Voltaria, stopping her from attacking. "Let's hear her out first!"
"Ruby, there's nothing more we could hear from her. I already learned from her dead comrades that they're planning to attack Haven by detonating a huge bomb and sending a massive Grimm invasion on Menagerie, just so they could stir up trouble for the other kingdoms. Giving Salem the upper hand." Voltaria said in a cold tone. "Now, move, so I can end this troublesome person."
"But can you at least know her reason for joining the mercenaries!?" Ruby exclaimed, gesturing to the terrified Alicia. "She looks the same age as Yang! And she didn't want to be here in the first place!"
Voltaria lowers Blood Moon when Ruby mentions that. "What do you mean? And how are you able to know?"
"I…I…I just…know. I don't know how, but I just know that she has no choice but to do this." Ruby said, trying to find the right words to explain her reason. She doesn't know why but she knows Alicia isn't a bad person.
Voltaria looks at her friend briefly before sighing. She puts Blood Moon away before walking over to a frightened Alicia. Before the girl could do anything, Voltaria lifted her hand in front of Alicia's face before entering her mind. Inside of Alicia's mind, Voltaria saw Alicia as a preteen with her parents and her baby brother. Happy together before they died in a terrible accident, leaving Alicia and her baby brother alone, and were placed in an orphanage. Alicia had to do odd jobs just to stay there and hopes that no one will adopt her and her brother separately. Then both she and her brother were adopted by a huntsman, who trained Alicia in combat, in hopes that she would become a great huntsman. But he soon was killed on a mission, leaving Alicia and her brother alone. So, Alicia had to find another job until she was founded by Ivan Makarov, who gave her a job as a mercenary after witnessing her combat skill. And promises her to give her money for her brother's treatment. Her younger brother suffered a rare illness and was in the base of the Terminus Group, being treated with little care. For his ailment has no cure and it needs to be life support. In a way, Alicia was forced to continue to work for him, in order to save her brother.
Withdrawing her hand from Alicia's face, Voltaria sees enough of what she needs to see. Alicia is doing this to save her brother, and the bounty on her head will allow Alicia to keep her brother alive, but will never be able to live like a normal kid. Voltaria closes her eyes and lets out a sigh. She now understood Alicia's doing. She's only doing this for her brother, not for herself.
"You know, I was planning on ending you right here, but…seeing that you're only doing this for the sake of your brother's health…I'll make an exception." Voltaria said towards Alicia. "If you tell us more about Makarov and all his plans, I can assure you that your little brother will have better treatment than before."
Alicia's eyes widened by this information before seeing Voltaria reach out her hand. Surprising Alicia in the process.
"Help us, and we'll make sure that you and your brother are placed in protective custody. You have my word." Voltaria said, her voice with truth and honesty.
Alicia looks at her hand and back at Voltaria. "I can't betray them, if Makarov finds out…"
"He won't because I know a way to get your brother out of there." Voltaria assures her, "So…you in or would you rather have your brother be trapped in the debt of the mercenaries."
Alicia was confused about Voltaria's gesture. She was grateful to be alive but why was Voltaria offering a hand to help her even though she tried to capture her and her friend.
"Listen, it's strange for me as well to help you, but we need to work together. Otherwise, there won't be a world for you or your brother to live on if Salem wins."
Hearing this, her little brother's face appeared in Alicia's mind. She dreams for her little brother to walk again instead of being bedridden forever. So, it's better than being in debt with Makarov for the rest of her life. Taking a deep breath, Alicia accepted Voltaria's hand as she helped the girl up on her feet.
"What do you want to know?" Alicia asked them.
"Everything." Voltaria said to her calmly.
"If I tell you everything, will you get my brother out?"
"Trust me, I will." Voltaria said in assurance.
Afterwards, they left the crumbled building to find the others. It didn't take them long since their friends came running over to their destination when they heard the explosion. Nora was ready to attack Alicia since she thought that she was the one that attacked her friends, but Voltaria stopped her and told her and the others that Alicia's action was all to save her brother as well as Makarov's plan. Alicia explains the best way she can, while ignoring the dinos staring at her with unknown expressions on their faces. While Alicia explains to them, Voltaria was looking at the distance with a blank expression on her face.
She will have to warn Blake about the incoming attack at Menagerie. Voltaria had to contact Kurama to assist Blake on Menagerie but she needed more to go after Makarov's base. She knows that there could be a dozen mercenaries there and she can't risk putting other teams or Uta Clan members there. Although she could contact someone that owes her for releasing him from crystal prison, she has to pay him big time if he's going to help. Yet that was still not enough. She needs people that can enter the building undetected and leave no trace of evidence.
"What are you thinking, Voltaria?" Glynda asked, coming over to the girl.
"I've been thinking of ways to save Alicia's brother." Voltaria said to Glynda, looking at the horizon. "I've been looking into some future events and theorizing which possible outcome would happen if me or some team go out to save him or stay to defend Haven."
"And?"
"And so far, they are shown to be suicidal but there is only one solution that would allow us to have a winning advantage." Voltaria took out the gem that Shadow Dusk gave her. "Is to call for the reinforcement from an unknown party."
"…You are going to contact the ones that share the same ability that you possess, aren't you?" Glynda asked Voltaria gently.
The others told Glynda about other Grimm Riders, and how they wish to help them. They don't know why but it does give them an upper hand. Though they were still suspicious.
Voltaria nodded her head. "Yes, but I am having doubts on calling them."
"Why is that?"
Voltaria looked at Glynda under her mask and said, "I barely know them, yet they know me and my mother. And it is weird to learn that I have a grandmother out there who knows about my existence…I…I don't know what to do…"
Glynda placed a gentle hand on Voltaria's shoulder, giving her an assuring look. "Whatever you choose, we're also there to support you, no matter what."
Voltaria was touched by this, as she needed those words to make sure to be anchored and they were the reason worth fighting for. Plus, the Grimm Riders can help them since they may have advanced skills than any huntsman could ever have. So, taking a deep breath, Voltaria somehow activated the gem with her aura. The gem made little bell sounds before it projected a holographic image of Shadow Dusk. He did the Grimm Rider salute, as a way to greet Voltaria.
"Greetings, young tamer, to what do I owe the pleasure of your presence?"
Voltaria took deep breaths and sighs softly, trying to calm her nerves a bit before finally mustering up the words to speak.
"I need help, can you and the rest of the Grimm Riders assist me?"
Shadow bowed his head to her softly. "For you, anything."
Voltaria ignored that gesture and told him the situation. "I need your…our people to go rescue a boy being captive by a mercenary group called the Terminus Group. Do you know them?"
"We have encountered them before, young tamer."
"So it was you and your team that saved Heather Shield, correct?"
"That is correct, we know about their evil doings with the False Goddess, and will assist you in anything that you desire. Just say the word and we will follow."
"…Thank you…I really need to hear that." Voltaria said with a hint of appreciation. "Here is what you and your team are going to do."
So, sorry for the long and late update. I got writer's block and was thinking of which story to start first. Then there was a storm in my country a few days ago and I got sick and I had to go to the doctor and so on.
Then I was searching for a voice actor for Fox Alistair. Still can't think of one yet for him. I also was thinking of a voice actress for Alicia, any ideas?
And Ivan Makarov's voice actor is Julian Kostov.
