A\N: Another Willicia oneshot. This one is fluffy and takes place after Alicia, Cary, Robyn and the others left Lockhart/Gardner. This will be short but fluffy and romantic and full of Willicia. I want the writers to somehow rewrite all of season five and make it so Will either doesn't die or that he survives and then he and Alicia get tight with Peter going back to prison for something.
I've been rewatching it again because it's The Good Wife and ugh, if only the writers did season five so differently.
Enjoy, Angels.

She felt nauseous when he said those things to her. He said that she was awful, then that no one wanted her, that it was him who took her in, which was true but then he called her a poison and that word made her feel sick. The anger on his face and in the word that he spat at her made her recoil as if he'd struck her across the face, which she didn't rule out. Deep down, she knew he'd never strike her, he'd never hit her, no matter how angry at her he was, but in that moment she thought he was capable of breaking a promise he'd made to her. So it was a shock when he chose to strike her things off her desk instead of striking her. Cary is the only one who knows she wakes up crying after relieving the day Will fired her.
As she was led to the elevator with everyone watching her, she felt his eyes on her and she wanted nothing more than to turn around and kiss him but she knew she couldn't, he'd push her away and call her a 'bitch' or a 'whore', or some other nasty word.
He said she was awful, he said she was poisonous. She wanted to cry and to tell him that the way he was treating was just as awful but before she could, the elevator doors were open and she walked in on autopilot, managing to tell him that it wasn't personal, he said that he didn't give a damn just before the elevator doors closed on him and his betrayed face, which would be cemented into her brain for the rest of her life.
"Alicia!" A voice breaks her out of her head and she gasps, looking around at the three people who are with her. She and Cary are on one side of the table with Will and Diane on the other side.
"What?" She snaps tiredly. She doesn't want to be here. She doesn't want to be in this conference room with Diane and the man she left to get away from.
"You okay, Leesh?" He asks. Hearing the name spill from his lips and the concern she hears in his voice makes her laugh bitterly.
"Are you fucking kidding me? Are you really fucking asking me that?" She asks through the laughter. "No." She says simply after her laughter has died down, she notices the looks shared between her partner and the other two and she just explodes on him, regardless of what she's saying, how loud she says it or who hears, she's done being The Good Wife.
"The way you handled our leaving that day was beyond me. It wasn't you, Will. I didn't even recognise you, I still don't. You said I was awful, that I was poison. You didn't even let me tell you the reason why I left, you just saw me betraying you!" She shouts at him, standing up and giving him a glare that rivals his.
"You'd know all about betrayal wouldn't you, Leesh?" He asks, spitting out his nickname. She shakes her head. "What is that meant to mean?" She questions.
"You're telling us you really don't know? You didn't tell Peter to take Diane's judgeship away as punishment for us firing you?" Will shoots at her. Alicia scoffs and curses her husband.
"Of course I didn't know, nor did I tell him to do anything. I would never do that. I thought you knew me better than that. I'm not Peter, Will." Will rolls his eyes but she ignores him and turns to Diane, regret shining in her eyes.
"Diane, I am so sorry for what Peter did but I didn't tell him to do it, he did it all on his own. He seemed a little too happy at the thought of me leaving with Cary and the others. If I could go back and tell you that I was planning on leaving, I would." Diane only nods before Alicia looks back at Will, tears welling up in her eyes.
"I left because I still have feelings for you and I was sick of not acting on them. But it doesn't matter now. You're with Isabelle now. God, you really are not the Will I met in Georgetown, are you?" she says as she gets to her feet, grabbing her purse. "Cary, I'll see you at the office. There's something I have to do." She says, ignoring Diane and Will who stare after her long after she's stepped onto the elevator.

Cary stares at Will, anger is boiling in his veins. "You really have no idea how much you hurt her that day you fired her do you?" He asks the older lawyer whom he once respected. "I watched as she cried over being fired by the man she thought would always be there for her. I watched as she called me at 3 in the morning, crying over the fact that you called her awful and a poison. She thought that you'd hit her, you were that angry. You have no right to blame her. I was the one who convinced her to come with us. She initially said no but said yes at the last minute. She said yes because she wanted to be with you. I don't know why she said yes until just now. If you want someone to blame, Will, blame me or the other fourth years whose partnerships you took away, you can blame any one of us but you are done blaming Alicia. I'll see you in court." he says without giving either of them a chance to respond before he too leaves the conference room.

It's 8 at night and Will and Diane are still in the conference room working, with the TV humming in the background. He's still remembering this afternoon with Alicia and Cary, when his ears catch Alicia's name on the TV.
"Hey, can you turn the TV up?" He asks his partner who turns it up. It's a news report.
"In other news, defence attorney Alicia Florrick entered her husband's speaking engagement this afternoon and proceeded to berate him for messing with her life again." The news anchor says before it cuts to Peter's speaking engagement. Will and Diane share a look, both wondering how this will play out.
Alicia storms onto the raised stage from the wings with fire in her eyes and grabs the microphone from Peter's hand.
"Why are you messing with my life again?!" She asks. Will can hear the barely restrained anger in her voice.
Peter looks at her, his eyes pleading with her not to make a scene. "Alicia-" he's cut off by Alicia.
"You took a job away from the most amazing, hard working lawyer I have ever encountered. Diane Lockhart has worked her whole life making her firm what it is and you offered her a judgeship, which you knew was her lifelong dream, only to take it away from her over some petty college bullshit between you and Will? Have you lost your damn mind?" She yells, her anger has come out. Will thinks to himself.
"They fired you, Alicia, I was doing it for you. They ruined your life." Peter argues, Alicia shakes her head.
"No, Peter, no, they didn't ruin my life. You did that, you ruined my life when you slept with hookers. Diane and Will picked me up, they took me in whenever no one else would. I owe my career to them. Diane was the first lawyer I met to believe in me, other than Will. Only a few people believe in me outside of our kids and Diane Lockhart is one of them! Yes they fired me but I deserved it, they felt like I was betraying them which I sort of did. But I left for personal reasons that had nothing to do with Diane." She finishes.
"And what reasons are they, Mrs Florrick?" A reporter asks gently, a small smile comes to her face.
"I'm in love with someone and I have since school, but I think I ruined it all by leaving." She answers the reporter's question.
"Is it your former boss Will Gardner?" Another reporter asks. Alicia takes a deep breath.
"Yes, it is Will Gardner. I have been in love with him for the last 20 years." She answers with a small smile.
Will's throat is dry and he can see a tear leaving her eyes.
Alicia turns back to Peter who is glaring at her. "Will offered me managing partnership, I was going to say yes but I didn't. Will offered me the one thing I've wanted my entire life but I turned him down because of you. You've managed to make the one man who loved me hate me. I hope you're happy, Peter, because me and you are done. I'm well and truly done." She hands him the microphone and drops her two rings on the floor at Peter's feet, and walks off the stage, leaving the entire room in a state of shock.
The clip ends and goes back to the news anchor who whistles with a smile. "I would not want to be on the opposite side of a courtroom with her defending someone. Well I hope Diane Lockhart gets a judgeship, it sounds like she's earned it. Alicia Florrick seems to think so."
The TV is switched off and Will looks at his partner who is looking shocked at what Alicia said about her.
He can't speak. He can't believe that Alicia just admitted to being in love with him since Georgetown.
He gets up from his chair and gets his suit jacket from the back of his chair before running into his office and finding his car keys. "Will, where are you going?" Diane asks when he comes into the conference room to pick up his phone only to run out again in less than ten seconds.
"To do something I should have done a long time ago!" He shouts back as he disappears down the hallway to the elevator bank.

She's been here for the last two hours, an hour after she spoke to Zach and Grace and explained everything. Unsurprisingly, they were happy with the news that she was done with Peter and finally confessed her feelings for Will, albeit to a roomful of reporters, Peter and Eli and not to Will.
'Here' is on a picnic rug, looking up at the sky where tiny stars are visible. There's only one other person besides her who knows this place exists. She sighs. She shouldn't have confronted Peter that way but she doesn't regret it. She was sick of him messing up her life and he had no right taking away Diane's judgeship when she did nothing wrong.
She wanted to tell Will that she loved him during their affair but she could never find the courage she needed. She's loved him for the last twenty years and he's never known.
"I thought I'd find you here." Says a voice behind her, she bolts upright and looks over her shoulder to see Will walking towards her, they're silent as he kneels in front of her, taking both of her hands in his.
"I'm so sorry for what I said and how I handled your firing. I should've done it entirely differently." He says. She keeps quiet, waiting for him to continue because she knows he's not done.
"I saw you tonight, on TV. You looked amazing. Me and Diane both heard what you said." He continues. She wasn't thinking about what she was saying. She was just so angry and so pissed at Peter for messing up her life again that words just spilled from her lips without her thinking about what she was saying. "Is it true? What you said? Have you loved me since Georgetown?" He asks, hope is in his voice. He's willing it to be true. She nods her head silently.
"Yes, it's true. Every word I said today about you and about Diane was 100% true." She says after he's stopped speaking. She finds herself being pulled into his arms and being kissed by him.
It's the first kiss they've had in two years and it's just as passionate as the ones they shared years ago.
"I love you too, Alicia." He tells her once they've pulled away from one another and are laying down on the rug, her head on his chest and his arms around her.
"Are the kids okay with this? You and Peter being over?" He asks her quietly. She chuckles, remembering Grace's words from two hours ago.
"Grace said and I quote 'go tell Will you love him then bring him back here so i can meet the man my mom was supposed to be with from the beginning.'" She says with a laugh, Will smiles. "Zach just said 'you should have told Will the truth a long time, like when you were with him' somehow they knew about our affair and didn't tell their father because they saw how happy you made me. You made me the happiest I'd been in a long time. I should've hit pause on us after Grace was taken. I know you would've waited for me for however long I needed but instead I didn't, instead I broke both of our hearts." She says with regret clear in her voice. He kisses her hair.
"Hey, I understood, the kids needed you." He whispers. She only sighs.
"I love you, Will." she says before lifting her head and kissing him with all the love she feels for him. He kisses her back with the same passion as her.
"Can we just stay here forever and not leave? We can let Diane and Cary run the firms while we just stay here, right?" She asks, Will chuckles.
"We can for right now, right now we can stay here." He replies as they settle back into their original positions: Alicia's head on his chest and Will's arms around her as they both look up at stars in the dark Chicago sky, both of them are together again and there's nothing that can break them apart again.
Because their love is forever.

A\N: I don't even know what ending that was, I wasn't thinking, I just wanted this oneshot done. I might come back and change if I feel the need to but for right now, I'm keeping how it is.
For all my readers and authors who are in LA, I'm still praying for your safety.
Enjoy this one, Angels.
