The appliances and Dolly had come to the wildest side of the countryside to some thorny bushes. Kirby turns his switch to Shag and drives through the bushes. Kirby coughed
"Look!" said Lampy "A clearing"
"Great" said Kirby "Let's spread out the blanket and have a picnic"
"But I'm full of stickers" said Blanky
"And my bag is full of thistles and sticks and who knows what else" said Kirby "Whose idea was it come this way any way?" he asked Radio
"Why, It's the lamp, I tell ya" replied Radio
"Oh yeah? Who's supposed to be big shot navigator around here, Mr. Loudmouth? Mr. Big Loudmouth?" asked Lampy
"Yeah" said Kirby
"Where are we anyway?" asked Toaster
"How did we even get here?" asked Dolly
"Now look here fellas, just give me a second and then..." said Radio "Whoa! Listen to this! It's the top of the ninth, The bases are loaded and Pee-Wee Reese's at the plate! There's the pitch he connects!" Radio picks up a rock a hits it which bounces on everyone, but Dolly dodged the rock "Oh! it's a triple play!"
"Knock it off! you guys" said Toaster "We should all settle down and gets some sleep"
Later that night, The appliances and Dolly are on there sleeping spots, and Radio is making a circle in the dirt
"This is my sleeping space and no one crosses this line!" said Radio
"Yeah you better wake us up at six as usual!" said Lampy.
"What are you complaining about?" asked Kirby "You didn't do any work today!"
Little Blanky crawls over to Lampy
"Go find your own place to sleep you little fuzzball" said Lampy
Blanky crawls over to Radio's sleeping circle
"WATCH IT! HEY, HEY! ARE YOU BLIND?! IT'S A LINE! AH, AH" said Radio
"Goodnight!" said Kirby and shut his eyes
Blanky passes by Dolly who woke up and saw Blanky crawling over to Toaster.
"I'm not the master" said Toaster as he yawned "Go snuggle somewhere else. I'm trying to get some sleep"
Blanky had to sleep alone, Then Dolly walks over to him and sleeps besides him.
The next morning. The appliances and Dolly are on the road again. Then Blanky gets caught in some branches
"Help! Don't leave me!" called Blanky
"Blanky!" said Dolly
Toaster and Dolly helped Blanky getting free from the branches. Then they heard a sound.
"Listen listen! What's that?" said Blanky
They were all quiet as they heard croaks and birds singing,
"Over there!" said Toaster
"Listen!" said Dolly
"Look!" said Blanky
"Light!" said Lampy "I see the light!"
There was a beautilful flower field and then they all looks over and sees some frogs jumping, some dragonflies and a beaver. a frog's tongue hit Toaster and the frog takes his tongue off Toaster.
"Why that's the same riff I used, when I was drumming for Cab Calloway, like this!" said Radio and drums on Kirby
"Cut that out!" said Kirby
Then a fish sang Figaro, but the frogs splashed water on the fish and laughed at him.
Meanwhile Dolly was sitting on a log and started singing
Dolly:
Why are there so many songs about rainbows?
And what's on the other side
Rainbows are vision, but only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide
So we've been told and somechoose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see
then Dolly starts dancing on the log
Dolly:
Someday we'll find it, a rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me
Who said every wish would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that and someone believed it
Look, what it's done so far
What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing
And what do you think we might see?
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me
All of us under it's spell
We know that's probably magic
Dolly looked up in the blue sky
Dolly:
Have you been half asleep? and have you heard voices
I've heard them calling my name
Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same
I've heard it too many times to ignore it
It's something that I'm supposed to be
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me
La, da, de, di, da, da, do,
Da, da, da, da, da, da, di, do,
As Dolly sang, a rainbow appeared in the sky. Then Dolly looked over at Toaster with a flower reflecting itself on Toaster.
"No no, It's just a reflection" said Toaster "I'm not a flower"
The flower hugs Toaster and he starts to feel bad about the flower as the flower wilters, He mournfully walks back to the pond, Dolly also felt bad for the flower and follows Toaster. Meanwhile, frogs, squirrels, and a turtle were dancing (including Lampy who also danced). Blanky being dragged down in a hole by some mice
"Come on! Help me! They're killing me!" called Blanky
"Hey! You leave him alone!" said Toaster and Dolly to the mice and pulled out Blanky from the hole. then Blanky sees that a mouse was biting the picture of the master
"Stop it! Give me that!" said Blanky "He was chewing on the master"
"Time to go!" said Toaster
The animals waved goodbye to the appliances and Dolly.
