Chapter 1: A New Spark

"Hello, I am Headmaster Ozpin.

Welcome to Beacon Academy."

Ruby Rose. She was only eighteen, and yet, her dreams of becoming a Huntress far surpassed aynone else. She was mostly inspired by her mother, a teacher at Signal Academy, and her uncle, who was currently away on a mission. What mission, the young rose didn't know, nor did she care that much, considering she was all packed up with more important things on her mind.

"Ooooh! I'm so excited!" The redhead stated, her mother smiling at the girl with a gentle and warm undertone. Summer had always known that her daughter would be special, but she didn't know if the young rose would be able to fully bloom in such an unforgiving world.

Summer could only hug her daughter, embracing the young rose in a warm and loving hug before the two would part ways. Summer, headed back to Signal, and Ruby, she was preparing for her trip to Beacon Academy. But first, she had somewhere else to venture off to.

Weiss Schnee. She is twenty, but she does not have aspirations to become a hero. She simply wants to do everything in her power to reattain her mothers' love and compassion. She was disowned by the Schnee family after her disasterous performance at the latest Schnee family event, and her father was furious at the young girl for weeks.

"Yes, mother." The young Schnee replied, speaking into her scroll in an elegant manner, yet her tone of voice was almost whisper silent. Weiss was hiding away in her bedroom, not wanting to risk coming out to see anyone publicly, lest she be beaten further by her father.

The thought of that man putting his hands on her made Weiss shiver, but she knew her mother would support her, or at least, she thought she knew. Weiss would, one day, be able to finally have what she dreamed of. To be free of her names influence. To be allowed to explore the world and adventure. To do that, she'd need to enroll in one of the four Huntsman Academies. Weiss then smirked a little because she knew exactly where to go.

Blake Belladonna. She was always the type of Faunus who wanted to do everything she could to make the world a better place. Unfortunately for her, the dark-haired girl had been born in Vacuo, and the Faunus there needed someone to lead them. Blake couldn't begin to lead, but she also couldn't leave.

"I understand, High Leader." The Faunus replied, on her knees before she rose up onto her feet. Blake was the second-in-command of the White Fang, an organization of Faunus who wished for peace between their kind and humanity. It worked all to well, except for the Schnee Family, who still treat the Faunus as inferior.

Blake wanted nothing more than to rid the world of all its problems. She couldn't do that from the confines of Vacuo. She needed to go somewhere else. So, she did. She left to Menagerie, a safe haven for all the Faunus across Remnant. But even this wasn't gonna work for as long as she wished. Blake needed to go somewhere more than an Island. She grabbed a book and read up on the Kingdom of Vale.

Yang Xiao Long. The girl who shines like a star. She was hper-active and an adventureous type, who wanted nothing more than to see what Remnant has to offer. She and her family were all stuck in the town of Forevermore, a small village in the lower southeast side of Vale.

"Where are you...?" She asks towards the sky, her dream of adventure seeming more like a dashed hope. That was until she remembered about the time her mother and father sat her down and talked to her about Beacon Academy.

Yang immediately knew what she wanted to do to achieve her dream. She set out on her bike, going towards one of the many helipads that'll take her straight to Beacon. She was going to become a Huntress.
