Chapter 2: New Beginnings
"Welcome to the beginning of the end."
Yang Xiao Long and Ruby Rose met up before the first airship left for Beacon Academy. They are sisters, born to the same father but different mothers. The two girls greeted one another with a hug, before Ruby headed out to nearby Dust shop, since there was still sometime left to explore. Ruby put on her headphones, turned on her music, pulled up her hood, and then started to read a weapons magazine far away from any other would be customers.
Since Ruby was unable to hear anything, and since she was so focused on reading, she didn't hear four other people enter the shop.
One of the men was taller than the rest and wore a black hat, along with a white trench coat, and was holding a cane. The other three men all were stylized the same, each with black glasses, black jackets with red ties, black pants, and each man wielding either a Dust powered pistol or a red sword.
"J-Just take my lien and leave!" The old shopkeep said, scared for his life as one of the three men took aim with a pistol. The other two stared down the old man but did not draw their weapons. "Calm down. We're not here for your money. Grab the dust." The man in the white coat ordered, before the other two began to steal the Dust, both crystals and powder, unaware of the girl in the red cloak.
As one of the men went to steal some Dust, he took notice of her and drew his sword before pointing it at her. "Hey, kid! Hands where I can see them!" Ruby was not paying any attention, before she felt a hand tap her shoulder, pointing to her headphones.
"Yes?" Ruby asked the man, who only continued to point his sword at the young adult, thinking he's gonna get a free chance to rob the girl.
"Empty your pockets and show me your lien." The man threatened before Ruby looked up at him, completely unphased by his behavior. "Are you... robbing me?" She asks, getting a swift reply from the man.
"Yes!" He says, trying his best to sound intimidating. Ruby would only turn her upper body to face his and smile a little.
"Ohhh..." She replied before kicking the man all the way to the entrance of the store. She would then throw herself and that same man out through the window before slowly rising to her feet, unfolding Cresent Rose into its full length."Ruby? Where are you?" Yang called out, trying to find her younger sister before the airship started to take off. Thankfully, the blonde didn't need to search far, as she found her sister right after she stopped the robbery."Yang? What are you-" Ruby was quickly interrupted by her elder sister hugging her tight, causing Ruby to close her eyes and return the hug. It wasn't long before both girls were aboard the airship, on their way to Beacon Academy.
"Oohhh Yang! I'm so excited! All the new weapons a-and the dorms and-" Yang giggled a little and then tapped her sister on the shoulder, making Ruby start to spin around before she collapsed.
Ruby got back up on her feet, and then both girls looked outside the window, seeing their destination. It was a grand school with a massive courtyard, outdoor training areas, and many recreational facilities. The ship landed on the giant landing pad before everyone got off and began walking through the courtyard.
Blake was on her way towards the giant main doors before she stopped, and turned around. She swiftly moved out of view of three girls. One was a smaller girl, shrouded in a red cloak, the second girl was taller with blonde hair, and the third... the third was a girl clad in a white dress. Weiss Schnee. Blake growled a little in frustration that a Schnee would be here. Eventually, unbeknownst to all four, they would be standing shoulder to shoulder.
This was it. Officially, their first day at Beacon. The four girls were ready.
At least, that's what they thought at the time.
"Hello, students. I am Headmaster Ozpin. Welcome to Beacon Academy."
