This is experimental I can't promise that I will update this story I know that Tokyo Ghoul isn't as popular as much as it used to be but I never got to finish the series and I've always wondered what would happen if symbiotes existed in the world of Tokyo ghoul so I'm going to expand on what I already know about both marvel and Tokyo ghoul so this following the original storyline is just very unlikely and if this gets traction I may consider expanding this world. Also, I should tell you I do not own any of these characters or terms used. They belong to their respective companies.

Title: Tokyo Ghoul: Symbiote Enthralled

Chapter: 1

If there is one fact about his life Kaneki is sure that's true it's that he always looks forward to going home and sleeping. Maybe Kaneki had time to read but not even his favorite book could keep his eyes open. He twists the key and pulls it from its outlined crevice pulling the handle to make sure the store is locked he turns his back knowing he has finally ended his shift he head in the direction of his apartment complex and briskly walks up the stars as his he pulls out his keys once more he finds himself ready to sleep on his couch. In his dreams he sees black but as his eyes open wide he's greeted by a luscious green endless grass plain as he looks down he attempts to move his hands but realizes there is no feeling in them despite this fact, he starts sprinting forward with a smile on his face he feels satisfied with joy feeling the wind flow through his hair he hopes this never ends.

"No no NOT NOW" he scratched as he turned toward the Blaring alarm to find the beautiful bright blue dissolves into this black void. His heart pounds in his chest, his brow and flesh glistening with sweat, his body trembles, and his mind thinks of only one way to "run". He bolts in the opposite direction with every bit of energy that he summons, however, it does seem to be enough as the ground crumbles before him "Awwww" "ah" jutting up from his dream-turned nightmare. Ken Kaneki awakens from his sleep only realizing the Blaring alarm coming from his phone with a slight irritation ringing throughout his head he picks up his phone. Taking a deep breath to compose himself Kaneki looked at the screen to find a message from his childhood friend C with a link in his messages some sort of link sighing in slight annoyance "Why can't you ever wait till the morning Hide" Checking the message reading

Hey I found out something you might be interested in

beneath he clicked on the imminently, noticing that this was a news report saying that the Life Foundation had a new exhibit of their never-ending list of achievements. With curiosity plaguing Kaneki's mind he scrolls to see what exhibit will promptly be released to the public about their findings about the asteroid that had crashed somewhere in the 20th ward a little over a year ago alongside a new space program they have been developing. They knew that he finally had the chance to see life's foundation. Knowing he would certainly be interested to see this despite being more interested in works of writing he did find a feeling of hope every time he and his mother visited the foundation well before they fired her and before she got sick shaking his head he needed to make sure that Hideyoshi didn't forget.

Kaneki was pleasantly surprised that Hideyoshi bought tickets considering he was the most forgetful one out of the two. With a smile knowing that they would probably be going tomorrow he realized he hadn't checked on his mother yet gentle getting up he walked over to his sick mother seeing nothing but a woman sleeping soundly as can be one thought ran through his mind Why should someone who has done so much in their lifetime go through such pain like this. Grasping his mother's hand he reminded himself why he worked so hard finding jobs and giving tutoring lessons all while doing his best to keep his education in mind it would always come back to his mother and he wouldn't have it any other way.

As rays of sun shone through the blinds onto his face Kaneki could tell morning had come. Getting up he heads for the fridge pulling out a small carton of eggs taking three and preparing to make breakfast "Yawn'' Knowing that there is only one other person he gently places breakfast on a nearby tray as he heads in his mother's direction "Did you enjoy your late night rest" he said with a smile while placing the tray in front of his mother "Oh thank you Kaneki I did but you didn't need to make this for me" she said motherly and sounding slightly concerned. "Mom it's fine I want to take care of you" smiling resolutely "Oh but you look so tired" with concern that only a mother can show.

"I'll get more rest when I get back Mom I promise" Kissing his mother he heads to the door before getting his essentials alongside one of his favorite books. Opening the door he leaves and locks the door knowing the route he heads down walking down the street with little care, slightly smiling, looking forward to the day he could see what the Life Foundation has done to help the improvement of life. A small part of Kaneki resented them for firing his mother; he never found out why she got fired but knew his mother had worked hard to get where she used to be with so many years of dedication. But in this world, as proven time and time again that the world just isn't fair to anybody, ghouls are living proof they are born to consume only flesh and blood, at least that is what he remembers.

Looking ahead he takes notice of how close he is to the entrance and finds Hideyoshi waving in his direction filling his face with a genuine feeling of delight "I was wondering when you were gonna show up" with a playful tone despite that he had an underlying point of sadness " Don't be so dramatic Hide you know I take time" as they both entered the building "How is she" Hideyoshi openly says "she's better mostly" "well that's relieving just keep me updated yeah" with a simple nod they have an awkward silence "come on were here for a reason let's enjoy this" with invigorating enthusiasm transforming Kaneki frown into a slit smirk. Now going forward they both search for what they came to see.

" I can't understand why you'd be interested in that stuff, it's lame," Hide said with slight sarcasm "Don't worry we'll find the new exhibition it should be right around here!" entered a new portion of the foundation personnel museum dedicated to their achievements and anything major regarding "SHAPING OUR WORLD TO BETTER FUTURE" but Kaneki knew this was only to boost themselves even Higher on their pedestal but he couldn't deny that had they made the nation somewhat better and safer people would be more capable of getting medication, food has become more adorable while making providing assets and funding for the C.C.G and of their affairs that relate to ghouls For the most part. But just because a person does good does not mean the bad actions taken should be overlooked, Numerous people claim that the foundation had been experimenting with humans or ghouls, and while an investigation was held all that has remained as an allegation.

As Hideyoshi looked around a few people in the space exhibit were surrounding what was an astroid and not just any asteroid but the one that fell in the twentieth ward filling his brain with genuine curiosity grabbing and pulling on Keneki "Hide what are you doing" "I came to see this astroid I wanna see if it lives up to the hype" briskly walking forward they had both eyes attach to the celestial rock look in both aww and wonder it was also made of unusual substance and while it still looked like a astroid it almost had seem that "alright I'm bored" Hide said before Kaneki could finish his thought "now come let's get a bite to eat" "what" baffled by this conclusion "we just got here" "yeah about four hours ago" clear confused Ken pulled out his phone to show the Hide was was right clearly seeing no point he prepares to follow his childhood friend but as he puts one foot in front of the other he gets a chill up his spine leaving him physically uncomfortable looking back at the astroid to see a bottom piece of the astroid fell off despite his better judgement he reaches out grabbing and rotanting the rock of an undefined origins feel at the tips of his fingers.

"Hey, You coming" "Sorry yeah" he swiftly shoved the rock into his pocket turning and jogging toward his friend but not knowing that as he held the rock he didn't notice an indescribable sensation seeping into the palm of his hand. " So what were you doing" Hide asked with a humorous and curious voice "Just wanted to take one last look at the asteroid" raising an eyebrow "Sure" slightly lengthy Hide and Kaneki then continued forward leaving the building "Come on I'm in the mood for some coffee" "Alright," ken says timidly but they strive for the coffee shop they love so much ken desperately wonders if that beautiful girl purple haired girl is their reading with that gentle smile. Keneki would do just about anything for one moment with that woman he didn't even know her name, but he stayed entranced by her beauty.

Walking down the street Ken finally realized that his friend was speaking to him "Sorry what" he said with the expectation of repeating what was said but as Hide's face turned from dull to an elongated smirk slowly "You were thinking about Her~~ again weren't you" "Wha.. wha.. What girl are you talking about not thinking of her? I mean" Kenaki's skin becomes inhumanly red as his hand covers a part of his mouth. "Yes I knew it have you asked her out yet" Moving forward Ken ignores his now best-described intrusive friend " Yeah that's a stupid question to ask but give me something what does she like Anything Ken trust your wingman" "You have never been or ever will be My wingman" "yeah but come on I know what the ladies like what's the worst that could happen?"

"Wait don't answer that was rhetorical," Hideyoshi says before calming down but as he does his bright features turn somber as Kenaki understood what he was more interested in Hide knew the conditions Kensi's mother was in but he would rather not shove his burdens onto someone else but despite knowing that he would really in anyway shove his burdens on to others if he could but he just didn't want to trouble the only friend he had and the one who had stuck with him since childhood despite knowing that Hide just what's to help. And he always appreciated that but something always held him back from being honest but he hadn't told him to keep everything from him.

Looking forward he sees the sign of his sanctuary, the coffee shop away from ghouls and any sense of danger from the real world at least that is what he thought at the time. Opening the inner door our protagonist takes a breath of fresh air feeling better as he goes to his typical seating spot followed by Hide. at ease, the best friends talk and chat enjoying their time together but something catches Hide's attention which makes Ken set his eye on what Hide has seen he makes contact with the TV, with an understanding of why it had caught his best friend attention it was a news report of regarding a ghoul sighting within the 20th ward "They really are hitting close to home" with definite uncertainty plastered on his face "yeah wonder what there her for'' ken asked silently glancing over to a girl with dark blue hair make them a light pinch of red appear on his face "AW nice it's totally her isn't it but I didn't expect you to like the quiet mysterious ones" "what no Its, not I swear" ignoring Kenaki's nerving tone Hide and calls for attention to the blue-haired beauty. The waitress makes her move toward Kaneki and Hideyoshi with a pleasant smile on her face, "yes is there anything I can do for you" " Yes would you be willing to go on a date with my friend here" with a cheeky smile plastered on his face "HIDE stop that's personal" ken said as the blue haired beauty became flustered and walked away he heard a bell ring through his ears but what he saugh brightened his day. But to not get any attention he sat immediately confused hide's face turned dumbfounded but following his lead and saw a smile on his lips as looked at what was the cause and saw a majestic purple-haired woman as he saw his best friend following her with his eyes as she walked to a seat.

After a small moment passed one thought came to mind "You need all the help you can get" Seeing what Ken was seeing turning his head Ken reacted by fumbling his words. "Wait where are you going" "I still got things to do today but I'll call you later" heading towards the door leaving Ken alone with "See ya around Kaneki and good luck because you gonna really really need it".Leaving his friend with an embarrassed look on his face as Hide walks out with a smile on his face. Looking out the window to how late it is starting to become he takes note of this but decides his mother could wait a little longer he reaches into his pocket to pull out the small rock to contemplate how lucky he got to get away with this to have his own meteorite he couldn't fathom how he had a real meteorite. Observing and rotating it he noticed that it didn't all have the same texture sure he was no meteorologist but he could almost see bits of metal on it but he could have time to look at it later he placed it back into his pocket to re-read his book for practically the umpteenth time.

While choosing to read the mysterious beauty continued to crowd his mind making him constantly look at her as magnificent but what he didn't expect was for her to meet her eyes with his own started he retreated into his book. But at that moment whether he knew it or not his fate was sealed or at least it was but this time I'm in control of his story or should I say our story.
