The Next Step in my direction

Author's note: I want to apologize because normally I would have had much more time on my hands, but due to the fact that I have to go back to school and my lack of motivation, the chapters will be monthly posts, but that's just me trying to be optimistic. I also did have a chance to see Venom, the last dance trailer. This made me both excited and conflicted because I don't know if they are gonna pull it off or at least meet my expectations and because I intended to do something similar but I know I may reconsider let me know what your thoughts are and let me know how long you would like each chapter to be.

It was Monday and Ken was contemplating how all that happened in only a few days. He was another victim of Hamanstance Ken never asked for this and neither did Venom but they had to get used to each other if they wanted a semblance of some sort of a normal life. But what they should be focusing on is what matters. Right now that is school *You act as thou you actually need any of this damn nonsense they try and teach* Ken didn't need to be distracted so he calmed Venom down the only way he could *Look, the next period is lunch. We just need to get through this period. You can eat as much as you need* finally that sent Venom into a less irritated state seemingly leaving him silent. Hence, Ken took the time to take his notes even though he had already been taught this lesson before but he gave him a sense of normalcy in his or more appropriately their life.

But while the human protagonist was focusing on having normalcy Venom was thinking about other things. Like how he needs to prepare his host for their future and lay the groundwork for it in Japan at least until He and hopefully others find Venom. But for now, all he should focus on is training the boy to his highest potential, but he could think about that some other time the bell had rung which meant feeding time for him. Gathering his supplies Ken and Venom eagerly head to the cafeteria in moderate hunger that was a downside to having some space alien fused with your body at least that's what Venom had said, and considering that Ken stole the meteor fragment he couldn't deny it's most likely a fact. Apparently, since Venom had bonded to the well-known book worm he could telepathically communicate to his host even in his dreams, which not even Venom knew he was capable of.

Reaching the bottom of the stairs he heads straight alongside fellow scholars presumingly going to his destination as well. "Surprise hug" Ken had a Sudon weight placed on his back but not as heavy as he thought Hide was. "Uh '' It was small, barely noticeable but Ken and even Venom silently acknowledged it, their best friend was surprised though it was not clear on his face. Yet despite his slight confusion Hideyoshi smiled still radiating joy and happiness reflecting it even on Ken's doozy pale face "Well look at you if I didn't know any better I would think you've been lifting weights'' the youthful clown said, an additional gift provided by Venom Ken really needed to learn if he wants his life back. "Hello, Earth to Ken!" "A yeah'' Ken swiftly replied " You good Ken you seem out of it ""Yeah sorry I'm just thinking about something" Ken hastily said as they walked Hide had an eyebrow raised, Ken could only assume out of suspicion until the smirk appeared on his face.

"This is about her isn't it," the blonde youth said Ken's face lit up steaming like a kettle over the fire. "Wha No I mean I'm not eh, her name is Rize!," the living kettle said somewhat yelling gathering small attention to the duo (Treo technically speaking). Hide tapped his best friend's shoulder pointing toward the closest table and walking to their targeted destination "Sorry I didn't think you to feel so strongly". Both were taking their respective seats beside each other, "No it's fine I'm just a little tired and sore for some but that's all." the bags under his eyes "Well How about I get you in a cheerier mood with something special" Sighing Ken turned his head irritatingly in the desire to tell his friend to get their food but lay before him was his favorite burger and travel coffee mug still hot made clear due to both that smell and heat exiting the mouth of the mug "Hide please you didn't have to get these". "Relax, I would be a good friend if I let my buddy starve himself to death", grabbing the mug with renewed desire, one of the most valuable things to his being hot rejuvenating coffee, letting out a sigh of contentment. "Feel awake yet" Drinking as much as he could handle the paled replied "I awake as can be" The due date for the remainder of the lunch period.

The hours soon passed as Ken went from class to class feeling less stressed, somewhat even happy and thankful the school bell rang ending the school day. Being the last to leave his class Ken exited into the flooded hallway feeling uncomfortable being the fact he usually was but this time he wasn't alone, unfortunately, "Who are you calling unfortunate" "You are literally living in my head rent free" "yeah and it's making you look psychotic look around moron" doing as Venom suggest he looks around to see some passersby look on at him as if he was he could hear the nicknames coming from their head freak, weirdo, creep. Mentally rolling his eyes "You forgot" *Yes I forgot* Still walking forward even with the last few stares still choosing to ignore, he makes it to the exit without wasting any time feeling the hot yet not unbearable sunlight. He was leaving through the gate and getting ready to make his way home when suddenly his stomach felt uncomfortably empty. He wasn't sure why he was feeling like this despite earlier at lunch being full so why, "Because you are supposed to be eating for two, moron". For two but that wouldn't make any sense Venom and I are fused "That's not how it works" V mentally paused "Listen we are merged I'm inhabiting your body and because of that I've helped you essentially made you better in every way but by joining our I've given you in increase metabolism and probably other negative aspects of our partnership". A long silence had passed before Ken said *You barely understand what you're talking about do you* ".…. Fuck you when it Comes to me all that matters is getting strong, And the only reason I fused with a BRittal Little Pale toothpick like you is to stay alive, I hate fusing with Organics Why would anyone ever consider changing perfection for a host with or without a Will." The insipid voice didn't hesitate to start spiraling into complaints but at least he was honest. Around 17 minutes had passed and since Venoms spiraled into complaints but in that time Ken found a restaurant went in and took an order sat at one of the tables and began working as much work as he could get done with a nagging Voice in his head and even after the food arrived the voice barely stopped to enjoy the shared meal. However, he did enjoy it somewhat after paying Ken to pay for the meal he left while still feeling somewhat hungry.

He walks down the crosswalk thinking Privately to himself *FlashBack* Ken opens his eyes, jolting up, looking around, seeing nothing. "Did you try looking behind you yet" startled. He looked to see a Frea eh… Venom behind him "Why… why are you here" he still couldn't understand why this was happening to him " Because we need to talk I think it would best if we clear the air so to speak" Venom had said his teeth open to Ken's observation looking slightly yellow and the look like more or less the same, what made him feel unrecoverable overall is the fact that it… His smile almost reached past the area of his cheeks, looking back up Ken asked. "What is there to talk about" nearly sounding irritated "To help you understand what type of situation that we are in" Ken's eyes widen "NO no no I don't want anything to do with you" "You don't have a choice at least for the time being your stuck with me," Venom said walking slowly in dominance. Ken knew that Venom was right but still "If you are gonna be staying in my head we were gonna have some ground rules" Venom looked like he wanted to rebudle but he didn't "What are your terms for this *sigh* Partnership". "The first is you aren't allowed to hurt anyone without me giving permission, the second is you need to tell me everything about you and your kind, lastly you aren't allowed to control me and my body in any capacity, can you agree to my request". Venom stairs at the boy with a form of anger but with something else that was it respect, unlikely he didn't give that to anybody buy his kind with his smile remaining the alien said, "fine I'll agree on that as long as we know where we stand."

But even while these standards had been set, there was no certainty that Venom would abide by them so it was UP to him to build bridges. "Tell me" Venom's smile was gone only his eyes remained to look confused "What" "You agreed to tell me about who you are and why you came here, do Tell me" The way Ken asked with no malice or ulterior motive made Venom feel confused but not unwell he openly sighed " I did want to come to your planet but my ship was attacked, and your planet was the only option." "As for what, I am a part of an organic polymorphic Race known as the Klyntar." Ken let this new knowledge settle in his mind. "But if you didn't want to come anywhere near here, why leave your planet." As those words left his mouth Ken could see a somber look on the sludge's face "It doesn't matter it's not like I can leave anyway". *Flashback end* Something about that whole conversation left Ken uneasy looking at the way he said V worded certain things left Ken still weird, he was nudged looking up and noticing people were walking, how long had he just been standing thinking back? He jogged forward-looking crossing the street looking for the right place somewhere dark and secluded but first.

He had finally reached his home clear in his line of sight, and an honest smile reached his eyes, walking in the stride he met the stairs as and met his front door searching for his keys and placing them inside the keyhole unlocking his haven. Slowly opening the door trying to make as little noise as possible he mostly succeeded in entering without problems, he closed the door with a light clack sound proving the door was locked. Seeking confirmation he looked and as usual, he saw his mother lying in slumber *Sigh*Ken left his door, took off his shoes, went to his desk, sat at the computer, and started to work. "Due tell what are you doing" *I'm studying and need to at my best so I have a pass this term* "Your studies in NERDology hahaha" Rubbing his eyes Ken asks "Are there any times you, not a total Douche" a groan could be heard from the bed darting his eyes over and, no difference and Ken's panic turned to a smile.

Returning to his studies he returned to the computer to see an email from…. "That bitch" Ken trashed the email immediately, not even giving it a second thought. "What's with you" *Nothing just some leach looking for a meal* pushing away from the subject he turned to his studies. While the boy's studies distracted him, what he really needed was sleep but Ken would never just simply sleep so might as well help the boy a little, Ken's eyes became foggy his fingers numbed his head as he lowered his head and slept at his desk. *AS expected* Venom thought to himself kens pale body darkened to charcoal black the face soon grew slit eyes white as a canvas as Venom stood he gently closed the computer and headed for the door, with every step, Venom felt unusually his first host he knew how weak this body was but it was constricting. He met the door opening with the cool air hitting his body, his first step outside closing the door behind him. "Well then" hopping off the balcony "I guess It's time to see if I can find you this time".
