Natasha was right, everyone had ignored that detail, and from what they knew in that world or others society can be different, maybe in some world racism or sexism in the 21st century is still like in the 60s or 70s of the 20th century, the law still does not prohibit young people from working so young or many other things.
"Different world, different story," Clint said, accepting that his friend was right
"This is going to be a headache," Sam said, as thinking about all the possible differences in each world was going to be very annoying and stressful
"Am I... the only one who wants a drink?" Stark said, not wanting to admit in words that the detail mentioned by Black Widow, he overlooked
"No" replied others at how confusing it could be to see other worlds, as if everything they've seen about magic, the supernatural, or everything else they've seen so far wasn't enough
"Uh, actually, sir, I've got something better than a bagel" Peter says patiently
"Oh, yes?, What's that?"
"A proposal. I think I can get you photos... Photos of Spider-Man in action. I bet he'll sell a lot of newspapers" When he finished speaking, the owner of the newspaper got close to his face.
"What do you know about selling newspapers?, You're a kid. Worse, you're a teenager" he said before turning to look at his secretary "Miss Brant, call security...!"
"That's the only way he realized he's a minor?" said Ant-man before the change of attitude of the head of the journalistic company, where he only recognized the age of Peter's counterpart until he told him how he could improve the sales of his newspapers
As for the others, he now wondered if they were too moral a moment ago about the another Peter Parker's situation or protective with the minor's situation, but they didn't say it out loud
"Get this kid out of my face, out of my newspaper, out of my city!" the newspaper owner shouted to the guards, who began to take Peter out, and when they took him a couple of meters away he turned to one of his employees. "Hey, what the Daily Bugle needs are photos of Spider-Man in action. That will sell newspapers, huh?"
"This isn't my day" thought Peter Parker as he was taken out of the newspaper company
"Hey!" complained the brunette with spider-like powers at the situation of his other self, as he listened to some snorts from the others
"Your other self is unlucky," Shuri said about the other Peter's situation.
"You have no idea," thought Fury, having listened like everyone else to the comment of the Princess of Wakanda, while others had opinions about the head of the newspaper, since the head of S.H.I.E.L.D. was sure that Peter Parker's luck was on par with his parents or perhaps worse.
As soon as the screen changed again showing Spider-Man returning to the Osborn residence, before everyone heard him speak loudly or perhaps thinking
"Nothing went right today. And now the amazing Spider-Man is reduced to looking for his shoes," thought the arachnid as he searched and was on the lookout for the Osborns or their butler to appear, during the early hours of the night
Meanwhile in front of the building's entrance, Mr. Osborn is waiting to get out of the limousine, while bodyguards were checking for threats
"It is safe?" Norman Osborn asked looking at one of his bodyguards from inside his car, receiving a nod from the guard and beginning to exit the limo.
"Osborn!" cried the vulture that had been waiting for his arrival
"Go, go!" He yelled at his driver
"You won't escape this time!" cried the vulture
"I say the same," thought the arachnid, who was after the vulture after hearing his cries
Some of the spectators let out groans and moans of resignation like Scott Lang or Wanda when they saw that a small helicopter was going after the counterpart of Spider-man, with the hired enforcers
"He's a magnet for trouble," Rhodey said, trying to understand how it was possible for a teenager to get into situations like that, whether he had powers or not.
"Kid, were you Hitler in your past life or what?!" Tony's exclamation took everyone by surprise because they didn't expect that comparison
"Don't you think you're exaggerating?" Maria Hill questioned the billionaire before anyone said anything, although in some cases they didn't know what to say about Peter's situation
"Target in sight. Guys, let's get rid of that spider" Montana told his men.
"Trick or treat," said the arachnid, kicking the vulture by surprise, then landing on the window of a building, followed by starting to jump between buildings to climb up. "Why are you celebrating Halloween in September?" The arachnid asked jokingly, shooting a web that grabbed the vulture's foot, before thinking about what he said. "Ahh, haven't I bitten my tongue?" Spider-man didn't let go of the web, but he started running over the roofs of the buildings.
The Avengers and other spectators, despite their various thoughts, were still attentive to what was shown, with some being more analytical than others, such as Natasha, Fury or Bucky in the face of the capabilities that the counterpart of May Parker's nephew continued to show
"That could be said for some of you."
"You wear armor that covers your entire body," surprisingly T'Challa was the one who contradicted Stark's comment, before the Black Panther noticed that his sister was looking at him with a smile.
Spider-Man looked ahead, where he noticed a pike in the ceiling and swallowed hard before jumping on it, legs spread wide as he could. Both of them didn't notice the helicopter that was following them.
Meanwhile the helicopter did what it could to reach them, but where and how the vulture and Spider-man moved it was not so easy for them to approach
"It's the strangest job Big Man has ever given us. We are flying after phenomena. I have no idea what that bird is up to, but I'm so glad it's keeping the bug busy," Montana said as he prepared to shoot Spider-man.
"Oh, my spider-sense," Spider-man blurted out, as he felt danger approaching, but he turned to look at him, only to see a rocket explode, releasing a web that trapped him.
"Spider sense?" some wondered at the term used by the other version of Peter Parker, especially the brown-haired boy, although more concerned than the rest about the rocket that was fired at his other self
"Did you feel it?" Sam said, noticing Spider-man's reaction just like the rest.
Vision, like others, recalled some of the moves seen before with this Spider-man or the others, analyzing the way he moved, noticing that at various times he seemed to anticipate the movements of his adversaries.
"Is this spider sense?" said Natasha as she and others made a mental note of checking information about different species of spiders once they return or leave this place, to better understand the teenager's powers. Although the redhead was one of the quieter onlookers, as she hoped that if they had seen older versions of the boy, then he should have more potential than they had seen so far, so he should be able to come out ahead of this situation.
And Romanov was right when they saw Spider-man falling, but he managed to run his hand through the net and shoot a line of spider web at a statue, hitting the side of the building.
"It was close," Wanda said
That reassured the viewers, especially the more concerned ones like Peter himself or Lang. But the statue fell from the ledge.
"I spoke very soon," said the Sokovia native again
Luckily they saw Spider-Man fall onto another roof and move just in time or the statue would have crushed him.
"Why do I feel like the boy's life will give us gray hair before our time?" Sam said because of how close Spider-man's head came to being crushed, not to mention that the fall he took must have been very painful or damaging for a normal human.
"Do you mean his counterparts?" Shuri said, since Falcon said the above quite loudly.
In response to T'Challa's sister's question, Sam rubbed his face and everyone could hear him let out an annoyed grunt or groan.
On the other hand, others like Natasha were wondering about the strength and durability of the counterpart.
"Ox, Fancy Dan. He's yours," Montana told his men
Spider-Man broke through the web and saw Ox behind him, before sensing Fancy Dan with his spider-sense, but turned again instead of dodging his kick, which hit him in the chest and sent him into Ox's open arms. Just for Ox to use his larger size and build, trying to squeeze the life out of him.
"Look, dude, if you wanted my autograph, you just had to ask for it," Spider-man said as he struggled, managing to free his arms, and then pulled on Ox's mustache, making him release his grip and allowing Peter to escape.
The other man had an extendable bar, with which he tried to hit the arachnid, with Spider-man responding to the attack, but they ended up blocking or dodging the other's attacks.
Again some of the spectators analyzed the way of fighting of both, noting the lack of training of Peter's counterpart, while the other showed to be trained, even so they could see the ability and potential that Spider-man had, since he managed to maintain the fight with his superhuman abilities
Fancy Dan dodged several web shots, while also approaching the arachnid, managing to land a blow to the head that threw him backwards, with Spider-Man landing on the ground, only for Parker's spider-sense to begin to tingle and he noticed that Ox was about to put his fists on his head.
Spider-Man acted quickly, to bind Ox's arms with a web, but Ox managed to break it.
"Oh, that's not good," Spider-Man couldn't help but say
Peter, seeing what happened to his counterpart's web, thought that maybe he should work on his own web to make it more resilient
Spider-Man tried to jump away, but Ox grabbed him by the leg and spun him around several times before throwing him across the roof. Spider-Man tried to orient himself and saw Ox and Fancy Dan walking towards him.
"He had to be smarter to win," Bucky said.
"And he's got to be quick, if he wants to turn the fight in his favor," Steve added, seeing that the arachnid had to act soon
He got up to face them, but Montana was flying the aerial vehicle, standing behind the arachnid, so he fired a laser from the helicopter.
"It's not possible!"
"It's got to be a joke!"
"How come someone who works for a mobster has a laser?"
Those and others were the comments given, in the face of the problem Peter's counterpart was in
Fury massaged his temples
"He needs training" Natasha, Bucky, Steve, T'Challa and Clint said about Spider-Man's situation, thinking that if the other Peter Parker had training he wouldn't be in such a bad situation.
Meanwhile Tony, Fury and others were thinking about the weapon that the enforcers have in the helicopter, because if they have something like that they had more resources than they were looking at
In any case, it was obvious that they were not common thugs or mercenaries.
"Stop playing and do your job," Montana spoke over the communicators, while the arachnid saw the vehicle that made minimal noise for such transportation
"Really, who are you?" asked Spider-Man, wanting to know who his attackers were
The scene changed to the vulture that was getting closer and closer to the limousine, until he caught up with it and began to cut through the roof using the wings of his suit.
Only to return to the ceiling where Fancy Dan pounced on the arachnid, nailing his metal bar to the wall he was on, so Parker jumped to avoid it, to then shoot his web, trying to get close to Fancy Dan and attack him, but he dodged the attack, making use of his bar nailed to the wall, and at the same time he kicked Spider-Man and tried to kick him again while he was in the air. But Spider-Man moved his body and let it fly above his head, before shooting his web to tie his arms to his body and spin it around before throwing him towards Ox.
The fighting skills displayed by both the enforcers and Spider-man, as well as the arachnid's lack of training was already being noticed by everyone, making it more than clear that if he were a normal person, he would already be dead.
"It's not that I'm running away, but a vulture is on the loose," Spider-man said before making a salute, and then jumping off the building.
"Did he lose his mind?!"
"What the fuck?!"
"He's crazy!"
"What the hell?!"
Several of the spectators exclaimed why none of them expected Ox to jump to reach Spider-Man and hug him, to prevent him from using his hands
"You're strong. I already noticed," Spider-man said as they spun during the fall, before saying "But can you do this?" he used his powers with his feet to stick to the side of the building, getting Ox to let go of surprise for abruptly stopping the fall, making him keep falling "I knew you don't" he said happily before shooting a spider web at him to catch him
Many of the viewers wondered if this Ox was suicidal, crazy or just didn't care about dying, because of the actions he took to finish off the Peter Parker counterpart
Spiderman clasped Ox's hands together before tying him to the post on the side of a building, parallel to the ground. "I know you can break them, but... I wouldn't recommend it," Peter said before going in search of the vulture.
Montana flew the helicopter after the friendly neighbor, then spoke over the vehicle's loudspeakers with annoyance in his voice, "Hey, you're making the enforcers look bad. I can't allow it"
"He looks like he's got some ego," Clint said at the pilot's words
"Or it's pride," Natasha added
"It's going to be his downfall," T'Challa said, recalling lessons he learned in combat training
Back with the vulture, he had just finished opening the roof of the limousine and tried to hit Osborn
"You'll apologize!"
"I won't!"
"Are you still discussing that?!" Shuri exclaimed, incredulous at the attitude of both Americans.
She wasn't the only one, although the vulture case was more understandable, the other stole from her, while Osborn seemed to care more about his pride and/or ego
The limousine's door was ripped off, drawing the attention of Osborn and the Vulture. And they were shocked when Spider-Man jumped up and sat down.
"Oh, this is very fancy, and it has sunroofs," the arachnid said before leaping through the roof at Toomes, pushing the vulture away from the limousine
"Why do you defend that thief?!" cried the vulture
"I'm on the side of the bird," Shuri said looking at the Parker, after all Wakanda has a pretty tough policy on anyone who tries to steal from their nation
"My other self doesn't know," was all Ben Parker's nephew could say in defense of his other self.
The vulture wrestled with Spider-Man before swinging its wing, slashing Spider-Man in the chest, but only managing to cut through his suit
"Not much, but it's better than your pajamas, kid," Tony said remembering the costume, admitting that the one Peter's counterpart wears looks better, even if it's made of normal clothes
"Pajamas?" Shuri asked Peter, who blushed and refused to speak
"Hey, do you know how much these suits cost?" Spider-man complained before feeling his spider-sense warn him of the danger, which allowed him to dodge the helicopter's laser fire. "I can't let Harry lose his father like I lost Uncle Ben—
The little fact mentioned by Peter's counterpart's thoughts did not go unnoticed by those who were unaware of the boy's life or rather it was a reminder of what they saw before when they saw the boy's aunt's counterpart, which again made them wonder about Peter's story
Spider-man jumped on the vulture's back.
"Let's surf!"
"To the parking lot. Let's go!" Norman yelled at the driver when he saw a public parking lot, so the driver turned the limo and forced his way in, thus losing Adrian
"This is your fault!" The vulture said before starting to chase the arachnid. Like the helicopter did
"See?" Shuri said to Peter, who gave the same defense as before.
"He doesn't know... but it's not right to do nothing either." Peter added the last thing after a few seconds.
"Two birds, one stone," muttered the arachnid, having an idea of what to do
Spider-man dodged the vulture and the laser shots, before jumping in front of the helicopter, with the pilot losing sight of him
"Where has that insect gone?" asked Montana as she looked around, looking for him
"Did you really think you could hide from me there?" said Toomes, flying to the bottom of the helicopter, where Spider-man was
"What is he planning?" asked some like Wanda or Lang, wanting to know the arachnid's plan since it seemed to be waiting for the vulture
Spider-man jumped on Vulture's back and used his web to pull them to the tail of the helicopter for using the tail rotor as well as one of the vulture's wings to tear them apart. Causing the helicopter to spin out of control. Although the vulture could still be in the air, but lost flight maneuverability
"My-my wing. I don't have stability," Toomes said, as he struggled to fly
"No, but you're still in the air. How does this work exactly?" said Spider-man confused, before realizing that the vulture's back was buzzing. "Hey parakeet, your hump is buzzing" using his superhuman strength he put his hand through the motor in the back, pulling out wires and other parts, causing the flying suit to stop
"Idiot! You've condemned us both," cried the vulture as they fell
"Ha, ha. I don't think you've been paying attention," the arachnid said before shooting a spider's web as he held the vulture between his legs
Sam and others were curious again because of the similarity that appeared to be the Falcon's suit and wings, with the engine on the back, while the Falcon's wings were for maneuverability.
"Will there be someone with your suit's technology?" it was Bucky who asked Sam
"Who was the one who created it?" Steve added another question, but Sam didn't know the answer, after all his suit was a project of the armed forces
The scene changed to the vulture, trapped face down on a lamppost, Ox still hanging from the side of the building and Fancy Dan trying to untangle himself from the net, as police sirens sounded louder and louder.
SPIDER-MAN made his way to the helicopter that had landed on a building and saw that it was empty
"Well, three out of four isn't bad, especially on a night of weird guys. Now... I need my shoes," Spider-Man said before saying the last regretfully
Stark couldn't help but laugh, and neither could Shuri, although the princess's laugh was shorter than the billionaire's, while others just smiled with amusement at the last thing Spider-man said
But the scene shifts to the Parker house and Peter steps down from the roof, but stops and looks at his aunt from the window.
"Oh, perfect end to a perfect day," Peter thought before changing to enter the door and see his aunt coming down the stairs
"Come on, Peter. "We must talk," May said, leading him to the kitchen table, where they both took their seats. "I know you're a good boy and you're becoming a good man... The man of the house, yes, but you're still my responsibility. You can't be outside so late. You have to be home by 10:00. That's your schedule"
"But, Aunt May," Peter tried to speak
"He's not going to be able to do it," some blurted out, like Bucky, who already had the opinion that the boy looked a bit like Steve, not being able to sit idly by when something happens
"There's no doubt about that."
"Oh, really?"
"I think it's obvious."
"If you're late, you call... before 10 a.m. If you call, it's best to say you're on your way home. That's the law in this house, Peter. Do you understand, Peter?"
"Of course, Aunt May. I understand"
"Perfect. Now, how about a slice of banana cream pie?
"Okay, nothing went as planned today. But I'm still Spider-Man. And I've got this wonderful person taking care of me," Peter thought as he looked at his aunt, and then took a bite of the cake
The projection was turned off showing the Parker home
