I meditated in silent then jumped out of the way as a fruit pie hit where I was sitting, I back flipped out as another fruit pie came out of the sky. "That's a waste fruit and pies!" Then I got hit in the face.
Aang laughed from the higher level of the temple, as I just ate a piece of the fruit pie humming. "Hmm Moon peach, ok I will forgive you for that one Aang!" Lemurs then started licking the fruit pie off.
I got up with strong wind current wiped the pie away and one of the lemurs. I got up looking at the masters heading toward Aang and kicked him into the and kept kicking into the air. "Come on Davaa! You said you forgave me!"
I kept kicking him in the air. "Oh come on Aang! You used to love this." Aang floated down laughing.
One of the elder monks looked to me. "Davaa, you need to practice." I sighed walked with him, looked at a air bison leg with section of the leg shaved off. I got a multiple sets of needles and ink tattooing the section of the leg with a portrait of avatar Yancheng on his air bison, the elder watched me closely, his eyes like scalpels dissecting every action I took. "Slower, it's now a race one mistake and the entire work will ruined and not too deep. Ras cha might feel nothing but Aang will." I smiled my chest swelling with pride at Aang being named master at a young age.
I slowed my pace and finished the portrait of Yancheng, she got a slower look nodded. "You only received a description as reference but it's acceptable Davaa." I smiled hopping she would give her approval. "You may tattoo Aangs master tattoo, no funny business you Gyasto students all mad I tell you." I chuckled at her snide remark.
I looked at the reference sheet for the chi pathway, got my needles ready, lit a candle. "Will it hurt?" Aang asked me scared.
I Burned the tips of the needles to needles to purify them. "When I got my tattoos, I was shacking like a leaf, that was a big a mistake."
Aang chuckled. "Yea it looked like you had a rash around your tattoos." I smiled shacking my heading cooling the needle in water.
I nodded whipping the water away from the needle and dipping it in ink. "Now my baby brother or Master Aang shall we begin?"
Aang sighed. "Both I guess?" He got into the first pokes in and Aang winced. "You said it wouldn't hurt!"
"I didin't say that, I will tell you what master Drimad told me. Pain is an illusion that the body creates because it fears that is being attacked, but you can control your fear so you can control your pain."
Aang' curiously asked. "Really how?"
I dipped the needle in again. "Simple focus on breathing, let the air flow through let the pain pass as the wind would." Aang started breathing focusing. As I continued on his back.
Aang let out a sigh he confided. "I was surprised when they made me a master, I mean I just in made something for fun!"
I nodded focused on inking. "Well you should be proud, I just had to master all thirty six tiers of air bending. You invented the air scooter and shocked their beards off."
Aang laughed then winced, sucked through his teeth. "I remember showing it to thee masters and blowing their beards into their face." I snickered keeping the needle away not stab him. "Alright how about just focus an breath so this doesn't take an entire week."
Aang made a shocked dramatic gasp. "An entire week? I can't sit still that long!"
I smiled nodded. "I know, so lets make these tattoos worthy of the youngest airbending master." I steadied my hand, I continued for multiple hours on the spine and arms finishing with his fore head. "How are you doing?"
Aang let out breath. "Good, imagining riding Appa through the clouds." I chuckled.
I got the magnum needles. "Good strategy Aang." I purified the needles on a fire before cooling it in water, I prepared my needles to fill them and adding some patterns in while I did so, as a personal touch.
as an hour passed I looked got a wash clothes checking for any places I missed. "Oh no!"
Aang turned to me panicking. "What?!"
"I didn't make a single mistake, I wanted to give you a fake mole." Aang didn't appreciate my joke and wind blast the ink into my face.
I Smiled whipped it off and showed the imprint. "I got a portrait out of off it." Showing him the ink block on towel.
Aang squinted at it. "That's Just a mess Davaa."
I defended. "It's an abstract piece of Monk Gyasto eating a fruit pie." Aang rolled his eyes, but I saw the edges of his mouth twitching. "Fine, but it would make a great portrait, now master Aang do you want to see your tattoos?"
His eyes lit up like fire flies as he snatched the polished Metal disk mirror out of my hand. Aang looked at my work. "It's perfect!" I put a hood over his head. "Keep that on until the ceremony master Aang."
"you won't stop reminding me will you?" I ruffles his hood. "Nope master Aang, You should get some rest Master Aang."
Aang groaned. "Fine, Fine I got it. Master Davaa." I chuckled at his mild annoyance as I made it to my bed.
The next morning I woke up next morning preparing the ceremonial halls for aangs graduation as a master. We set the hall with ceremonials banners and Aang had in the center of the the stage with masters behind him.
Monk Gyasto stood to front. "I am proud Aang my youngest student being the youngest air bending master in known history." I swelled with pride and little bit of envy as Gyasto gently removed aang's hood. "Master Aang." Aang smiled looking into the crowd showing his tattoos. Then the younger air benders cheered some of the adults tried to calm them down.
