Chapter 2
Classes
Naruto woke up and waited in McGonagall's office. "Professor," said Naruto.
"You're here. I will escort you to the Great hall," said McGonagall. "Follow me."
The two get to a mostly empty hall. Looking around Naruto sees several of the teacher already there. "Why don't I introduce you to your Professors."
"First Professor Sprout. She teaches Herbology," said McGonagall.
Naruto smiles. "It's a pleasure to meet you professor," said the blond. Naruto turn to McGonagall. "They are aware of my situation?"
"Some of the stuff, yes," said McGonagall.
"You must be the new fifth-year?" asked Sprout.
"I am, professor," said Naruto. "I just want to say I can't wait to learn from you. I have a little bit of a green thumb."
"Oh.'
"I lived in an apartment building I converted one of the apartments into a green house," said Naruto.
"Moving on, we have the potions professor. Severus Snape," said McGonagall.
"A pleasure. My godmother was a doctor who was able to find cure for a lot poisons. It's an intricate subject," said Naruto
I can see you're not like the other dunderhead I teach," said the black haired man.
"Next Muggle studies. Quirinus Quirrell," said McGonagall.
Naruto noticed the man slinking into his chair. Something felt off. Putting on a smiles. "It's a pleasure Professor."
"Same here,"
"Finally we have Professor Flitwick, he teach Charms," said McGonagall.
"It's a pleasure to meet someone of your reputation, Professor," said Naruto.
"You've heard of me?"
"Yes I read about you in the Dueling Monthly. Five times reigning champ impressive," said Naruto
"It's nice to meet a fan," said the short Wizard.
"I would find it a great honor to spar with you one of these days," said Naruto.
"Why don't you have a seat at a table and we will sort you when the first year arrive," said McGonagall.
"Of course. Hope to learn from all of you," said Naruto with a short bow. Walking toward the long table Naruto sits down. Several students walk in and take their seats. Naruto notices a lot of Students with Red trims on their cloaks sit down at their table. The same table he sits at. One of them turns to Naruto. A male. "I haven't seen you around. Name is Dagon Lee 5th year."
"A pleasure, Naruto Uzumaki. This is my first time at Hogwarts," said the blond
"You look too old to be a first year," said the brown haired teen.
"I am supposed to be in fifth year," said Naruto. "It was not easy studying all the material before hand.
"It looks like the first years as coming in," said Dagon.
"I got to be sortied as well," said Naruto.
"Greeting students," said McGonagall. "I welcome everyone to Hogwarts. Now a word from our headmaster."
"That you Professor McGonagall," said Dumbledore. "Like last year, the Forbidden forest is off limits to all students without permission. The trip to Hogsmeade has been reinstated for third year and up."
"When I call your name, please come up to be sorted," said McGonagall. "Abby Leach."
A brown haired first year walks up. "A thirst for Knowledge," said the hat that was placed on her head. "Determination to prove yourself. Ravenclaw," said the hat.
The table with the blue trim cloak wearing student clap. "Betty Lake," said McGonagall.
"You have faced hardships in you life, losing your parent. But you persevered," said the hat to the red haired female. "Gryffindor.'
Danial Webb," said McGonagall. A boy with purple hair walks up.
"Cunning and ambitious. But also have tons of knowledge," said the hat. "Slytherin."
The boy nods his head. Naruto Uzumaki," said McGonagall.
The hat sits on Naruto's head. "Interesting. You have gone through hardship all your life. Yet you faced each one with no fear. You have the cunning of Slytherin when your friends are in danger. People tend to underestimate you which the last mistake they make," said the hat. "I can put you in either, Gryffindor, Slytherin or Hufflepuff. Tough choice. Where would you like to be placed?"
"I think for my skill set as a jack of all trades. Hufflepuff, if you don't mind," said Naruto.
"Very well Hufflepuff," said the hat. Naruto walks over to the table. His cloak gets a slight yellow to it.
Every other student is shorted. "Now everyone enjoy the feast," said McGonagall.
Naruto east the food as he looks at his schedule. "First class is charms," thought the blond. "Then after that Herbology. Then a one hour break, then Potions and Defense against the Dark arts."
Naruto heads to the Hufflepuff common room. "You must be the new student that just got shorted," said a female voice. Naruto turns and sees a brown haired female teen. "My name is Roxy. I am a fifth year like you and also the Perfect."
"A pleasure to meet you," said Naruto with a wide smile. "I had to catch up on prior classes before this school year."
"I was told about you situation about coming late," said the female. "If you need help don't hesitate to ask," said Roxy.
"Thank you. That is very kind," said Naruto. "I will see you around.'
Naruto heads to the boy's dormitories.
Next day Naruto heads to his first class. Heading to the classroom, he enters and sees Professor Flitwick scribbling one the board. "Good morning Professor," said the blond.
"Good morning Mr. Uzumaki. Have seat class will start shortly."
The students file in and Naruto sees some Ravenclaw and Hufflepuffs. "Greeting class," said Flitwick. "Today where are going to learn the Accio spell. Does anyone know what that spell does?"
Naruto looks around and puts his hand up. "Mr. Uzumaki."
"It's the summoning charm. You cast it and say the name of the item you wish to summon," said the blond.
"Very good, twenty points to Hufflepuff," said Flitwick. "Follow the wand movements," said Flitwick. "Accio Book.'
A small book flies into the professor hand. "I want you to summon the quill you I have put in front of you.'
Accio Quill," said Naruto. The writing tool goes into Naruto hand. He turns his head to a Ravenclaw first year. The young man was struggling. "Do you need a tip?"
"That would be great," said the young man.
"Your wand movement is too tense," said the blond. "Take a deep breath and relax your wrist. Try the movement again."
The Ravenclaw does as told. "Accio Quill," the quill floats over closer but drops before it gets to the hand.
"That was not a bad attempt," said the blond.
"Thank you.'
10 points to Hufflepuff for assisting a fellow student and 10 points to Ravenclaw for accepting the help and improving," said Flitwick.
Naruto raises his hand. "Professor."
"Mr. Uzumaki. Do you have a question?'
"If I let's say need to move something heavier. Do I need to concentrate more or put more power into it?"
"Excellent question. The answer is with more experience in the spell you don't need to put as much power into it. But right now I say both concentration and power are needed."
Flitwick looks as his students learn the spell. "You all did excellent today and I hope you do well in the rest of your classes. Your all dismissed."
Naruto walks out. He is approached by the first year Ravenclaw. "Hello," said the boy timidly.
"Oh hi," said Naruto. "Do you need something?"
"I just wanted to thank for helping me in class," said the student.
"It was not a problem," said Naruto. "We are all here to learn from the professors and each other."
"My name is Tommy Evans. I am the first of my family with magical abilities," said the boy.
"Naruto Uzumaki," said the blond. "I was born to Muggle parents as well. Hope to be good friends with you Tommy.'
"Same," said the boy.
"I must head to Herbology. Have a good day."
Naruto walk to the green house and sees his house and some Slytherins. "Greeting class," said the kind Sprout. "Today we are going to learn about the proper trimming technique of the whipping willow tree."
Naruto looks down and see the small tree. "Professor," said Naruto.
"Yes Mr. Uzumaki?"
"What cycle of life is this tree in?"
It's a baby," said Sprout. "Even thought it's young it still can pack a painful hit. Put on your gloves and your leather apron.
The students do as told. "Now the best way to trim this tree is try to soothe it and then snip the edges with the small clippers."
Demonstrating the trimming Sprout looks to the class. "Give it a shot."
Naruto sends a little bit of Natural chakra to soothe the tree. It stop whipping it's branches as Naruto takes out his clipper and trims the leaves far enough to let it grow out. But not to far that it feel the pain.
Professor Sprout looks at her class. "Well done Mr. Uzumaki 20 points for Hufflepuff.
A few rows down a Slytherin was also successful. "Well done to Ms. Coran 20 points to Slytherin."
"Everyone put the clippers. Well done today I will see you for the next class," said Sprout.
Naruto quickly went to the Dungeon to potions classroom. Getting g there the blond saw the Professor over some vial. "Greetings Professor."
Snape ignored the blond as more students showed up. "There will wand waving or incantation in this class. You will learn the subtle art and nuances or potion-crafting."
The man turned to the class. "Let's see if anyone studied during summer. Does anyone know what a Wiggenweld does?"
Naruto looks around and slowly raises his hand. "Mr. Uzumaki," said Snape in a drawl.
"It's a healing potion if I am not mistaken," said the blond
"That is correct," said Snape giving the blond a approving nod. Do you know the ingredients?"
"Yes Professor. 1 wormwood, 3 Bubotuber Pus, 2 dittany and one dragon liver ."
I don't give praise usually but that the correct answer. 10 point to Hufflepuff," said Snape. "Today we will be making the potion."
"Turn to page two hundred and fifteen. Follow the instructions carefully and put you name on vial when you complete it."
Naruto turns to the page and starts to look for ingredients. Gathering what he needs. Naruto carefully crushes the ingredients and gently put them in the boiling water. "Stir it three time to the right. Then once the left and let is sit," though Naruto.
Finishing the potion. Naruto puts his name on the vial and turns it in. Snape looks at Naruto with a slight glare. "Have you finished the potion?"
'Yes Professor,"
How confident are you in its success?" asked Snape
Naruto bits his finger drawing blood. "I can test it."
Snape smile and hands Naruto the potion. "Let's see."
Naruto take a small sip. The wound closes with no mark. Snape nods his head satisfied. "After class can I see you at my desk.?"
Of course Professor," said the blond.
The students turn in their results. "Class dismissed."
The class walk out. Naruto walks up to Snape. "You wanted to talk to me?"
"Yes. You made a perfect potion. I believe you might go further if I allowed you to take advance class."
I am honored Professor you think so highly of my progress," said the blond.
"Like I said I don't give praise easily, but I think I should extend this offer," said Snape.
"I have to decline. I would like move up on my own merits," said Naruto
"That's admirable," said the Professor. "I will see you next class."
"Thank you Professor."
Naruto walks out.
Naruto was in the common room of his House. Roxey walks up. "Well look who it is," she said. "You got our house a bunch of potion."
"I thought that was a good thing," said the blond.
"Even got some from Snape, which never happens."
"Why not?" asked the blond.
"He play favorites with his house," said Roxy.
"I was glad to help," said Naruto. "If you don't mind I have to look around the castle for a bit."
Roxy nods her head.
Naruto make his exit and heads to McGonagall's office. He knocks. "Come in," said the voice.
Naruto walks in. "How are you Professor?"
"Mr. Uzumaki. I have heard good thing from the other Professors. How can I help you?"
"I was wondering if you have a place I can train away from prying eyes?" asked Naruto.
"I do. You can follow me."
After walking downs several staircases. They get to a wall. "I think we made a wrong turn," said Naruto.
"Watch my wand movements," said McGonagall. Wvaing her wand a door opens up. "This is known as the room of requirements You can train her when you're free."
Thanks you," said Naruto.
"Shall we enter?"
The two enter the room and Naruto sees a bunch of furniture and other stuff. "Not much room?"
"Give it a minute," said McGonagall.
The room warps as several tree appears, a small ring appears and a lake. "Whoa," said the blond
"The room gives you what you need at the moment," said McGonagall/.
"This is awesome," said Naruto. "Thank you Professor."
"You very welcome."

AN/: So the first few chapter will be very slow, But don't worry I have a plan. Naruto is doing well just because he needs to learn more about the world. Snape is still a douche but he respects those who apply themselves as I showed. Hope everyone enjoyed this chapter
