"I'm not late! You're just early!" Luffy shot back, grinning.

Shanks chuckled. "Alright, let's get started. Today, we're focusing on Haki. You've got the basics down, but now it's time to refine your control."

Luffy nodded eagerly. "I'm ready!"

Shanks held up his hand, and the familiar black aura of Armament Haki enveloped his arm. "Watch closely. Haki isn't just about coating your body—it's about precision. You need to focus your energy where it's needed most."

Luffy closed his eyes, channeling his Haki. He felt the tingling sensation spread through his arm, but this time, he tried to concentrate it into his fist. The black sheen flickered at first, but after a few moments, it stabilized.

"Good," Shanks said, nodding in approval. "Now, try to maintain it while moving."

Luffy swung his fist, feeling the resistance of the Haki. The impact sent a small shockwave through the air, and Luffy grinned. "This is awesome!"

Shanks smirked. "Don't get too cocky. Let's see how you handle this."

Without warning, Shanks lunged at Luffy, his training sword swinging in a wide arc. Luffy barely had time to react, but his Observation Haki kicked in, allowing him to dodge the attack at the last second.

"Hey! What was that for?" Luffy exclaimed, jumping back.

"A real fight doesn't give you time to prepare," Shanks said, his tone serious. "You need to be ready for anything."

Luffy's eyes narrowed, and he focused on his Observation Haki. He could feel Shanks' movements, the subtle shifts in his stance that signaled an attack. When Shanks lunged again, Luffy was ready. He sidestepped the strike and countered with a Haki-coated punch.

Shanks blocked it with his sword, the impact sending a faint vibration through Luffy's arm. "Not bad," Shanks admitted. "But you're still too predictable."

The two of them sparred for hours, their movements growing faster and more precise with each exchange. By the time they stopped, Luffy was drenched in sweat, but his skills had improved significantly.

As they took a break, Luffy remembered the Dungeon Key he had received after completing the "Prove Yourself to Shanks" quest. He kept it to himself, knowing Shanks wouldn't understand.

"Hey, Shanks," Luffy said, trying to sound casual. "I think I'm gonna head back to the village for a bit. I've got some stuff to do."

Shanks raised an eyebrow but didn't press. "Alright, kid. Just don't slack off. Training's important."

"I know, I know," Luffy said, waving as he jogged away. "See you later!"

He made all necessary preparations such as bringing food and drinks along in his inventory.

Once he was out of sight, Luffy pulled out the Dungeon Key. He examined it closely, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. "Alright, let's see what this thing does."

He activated the key, and a swirling portal appeared in front of him, its dark energy crackling with power.

Without hesitation, he stepped through the portal, the world around him shifting as he entered the dungeon. The Forest of Shadows was dark and intimidating, The air was thick with an eerie silence, broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves.

"Stay sharp," Luffy muttered to himself, his fists clenched.

As he ventured deeper into the forest, he was ambushed by shadowy creatures—wolves with glowing red eyes and razor-sharp claws.

[One of the dozen vicious beasts living in a nearby cave. These wolves are bloodthirsty and kill anyone that comes near their habitat. They are drawn to humans due to their large amounts of blood. These creatures hunt collectively to ensure that their target is eliminated.]

"Get ready!" Luffy shouted, his fists coated in Armament Haki. "Bring it on!"

The battle was intense, the shadow wolves moving with unnatural speed and ferocity. Luffy fought with everything he had, his Haki-enhanced punches sending the creatures flying.

As the last wolf fell, Luffy panted, his body aching but his spirit unbroken.

'According to the system, these creatures come from a nearby cave.. I better kill them all before I get ambushed again.'

He made his way to the cave and analyzed 'There's quite a few there' before an idea came to his mind. He destroyed the roof of the cave, with all the debris falling on the wolves. They all died except for one

The remaining wolf was significantly bigger than all the other creatures, unlike the other wolves that were black, this one was greyish white.

"So you're the boss, huh?" Luffy said with a smirk, gripping his fists tightly. "Let's do this!"

Luffy took the initiative by lunging at the werewolf with a Gomu Gomu no Pistol

ROAAAAR! The werewolf roared at Luffy, pushing him back into the air

The werewolf didn't let Luffy recompose himself, immediately jumping at him with a melee attack. Luffy dodged by pulling himself to a tree using Gomu Gomu no Rocket.

The werewolf was relentless, it growled and quickly lunged at luffy with another melee attack. "Damn, this thing's aggressive.." Luffy commented

Instead of dodging, he countered with a Gomu Gomu no Bazooka and landed a critical hit, pushing the wolf back into the ground.

Luffy didn't let up, he jumped down the tree and overwhelmed the wolf with a Gomu Gomu no Gatling

Just as he was about to deliver the killing blow, the werewolf howled loudly.

"What was that about?" Luffy asked himself
