Our journey gets tougher, the longer we walk, the danger we must face. First, Yobaivillie is empty, with no citizens and robots are all over the streets. Second, we found evidence that these robots and that canister belong to C.L.I where that Shadowside lady had been working on. Plus, we were connected to Project H.Y.B.R.I.D, something that would be used for evil. Huh, how unfortunate.
I was confident that Shirahara would find a place to rest and that it would be an empty water tower not too close to the other village, Kokovillie, a village of crawlers and bugs. It is quite dark, but without me, I could have lit a lantern to light up the place. So I know you heard about me, mute talker, grumpy all the time, well, it's not just that, I am the second in command of Shira's team. I was really hoping that mother would make me leader, because I was the strongest, but she chose Shira instead. My sister is quite confident, self centered, and is more well listened.
And talking about my temper, I usually turn everything on fire and I often blow every time the other people try to attack my siblings. I could not even control it. They would often explode on my mind, making me want to punch something, chop down a tree, bite on a fish, anything. Mother told me that anger was my enemy and I had to find peace. It fuels my energy and that would totally ruin my log. It had been a week since we left the city and encountered another village. We could not be allowed to be seen so we had to stick into the shadows.
"I know it is quite sunny," Rin said at first, looking up at the sky. "But why on earth has the sky turned dark?"
"Maybe it's because of the weather?" Tomoka guessed.
Well, I know my middle sister is right because I knew it was gonna rain and we had to take shelter inside the water house. To my guess, we must be getting closer to C.L.I. I continue on lighting up the lantern for more light. But I knew I made a mistake, I accidentally caused the lantern to turn up in flames, setting it spreading across the ground. Startled, Tomoka had tried to put the fire out by stomping at it.
"Reika, have you lost your mind?" Shira yelled at me, completely furious. I stepped away with a confused angry look. My older sister's face was completely red and her pink eye flashed into my red ones. "You almost turned up our last lamp!"
I didn't actually mean to do it on purpose, I mean it wasn't my fault. All of the pressure is pushing inside me.
"I know we're all tired from our journey in this strange new world, but you're getting to flamie." That means angry. Shira then continue on lashing out, "Why don't you just go outside and cool off?! Go!"
With one growl, I began to leave the water tower, unaware I heard my little sister, Manako say, "Shira, did you see the look on her face?"
What the heck had happened back there? I know everything had gone very blank and I lost my temper. I shouldn't have done that. And I guess it was my fault my flamie anger got the better of me. Entering Kokovillie, I sat down on the edge of the rooftop temple and sighed. Guess my temper really is getting into my nerves.
My anger really did fuel me more and thanks to me, I got lashed out and was scolded. I kicked the rock on the temple with a grunt, and folding my arms tightly to my chest.
"Looks like you're having a bit of trouble," a voice answered, interrupting my thoughts.
Turning my head, I looked over and I saw a tall slender spider yokai leaning at the door entrance. She has long bluish hair, covering the side of her face and tall legs that makes her a supermodel. She has fur on her four arms and chest with black hot pink eyes.
I was a little nervous but I continued to sulk down on the rooftop. "My name is Lulu Eyes and you are?"
I could not speak but I only let out a grunted sound.
"You can't speak?" she asked me. I shook my head no. I know I could not speak because of my voice and I only used body language to tell her that no one appreciates me.
"Heh, too bad," she sighed. "No one doesn't appreciate me either. And I am all by myself, too. "
I sighed. Time seemed to have slowed down as I stared at the town. The town had nests, twigs and hives of all kinds around the area. Sure is pretty but I know Shira is still mad at me. I had to cool off for a while until I am better, but at least that yokai spider was there.
"Anyway. I am a spy, spying on the C.L.I." I perked up. My eyes widened and then I guessed Lulu had been following C.L.I the same way as us. She turned her focus on me. "You heard about it too?" I nodded. "Well, this should be very easy. I am investigating the crime scene. That is if you help me with a task to investigate yokai who are behaving strangely and under orders of someone strict and heartless. They are transporting chemicals in warehouses and labs and transporting them to a tower not too far away."
The C.L.I building. I know I should but I should accept Lulu's task to stop the thievery, but my sisters would be very worried about me. If they find out that they are gone, they will be worried sick and they might be better off without me. I stood up onto my feet and nodded.
"Good," Lulu nodded. "Now come. We shall head our way." She began to lead me across the rooftops as I started to follow her. I was quite nervous going on my own with some stranger but she turns out to be a nice friend and I started to feel a little brave. I guess I don't need my sisters to help me after all.
Upon reaching a nearby warehouse, me and Lulu saw some yokai gathering chemicals and transporting them into the van down on the street. I can sense that something seems wrong with the yokai, they have blank faces and no light in their eyes, and they are wearing futuristic suits that I have never seen before.
"You see these chemicals in the boxes?" Lulu asked me. "That is Mu-X. This formula is very important because it makes this strange ooze and they are transporting it to the building." Looking over, I can see the Yokai holding a purple canister with the label MU-X. It doesn't look like the same mutagen, the blue gooey stuff, but this chemical is different. "Do you really want to stop them?" Lulu asked.
I was a little scared but I nodded my head. I carefully began to sneak down off the ladder and started to approach behind the yokai guards carefully. I had be very secretive. Mother told me that we must use stealth to attack the enemy and that is what we must do. Using a sleeping hankie poured with strange water that Tomoka had added, I went behind covered the guard's mouths and began to knock them down, stealthy. It went well and Lulu began to pick up the boxes of chemicals into the van.
"Let's go," Lulu said. "We can get away from the C.L.I. if you give them back to the rightful owners. We better hurry."
Nodding, I began to climb into the van, but there was one thing. I could not drive a van. I started to grow very nervous and anxious that I could steer it. "You can't drive?" I shook my head no.
"Mute turtle!" Lulu cried. "Slam on the pedal, quick!"
I slammed it down, causing the van to move. The spider yokai fell backwards and held onto the seat as I swerved around the area. I never felt so alive in all my life, and my heart is beating so fast. I kept my hands gripped on the steering wheel, avoiding the curves and driving wildly around the streets.
"You better hurry!" Lulu cried. "They're closing in on us."
Using my super power and transformation, I began to shoot fireballs at the brainwashed yokai and knock them down. They quickly avoided it before they fired their blasters. I swerved out of the way, evading the lasers that almost struck my head.
"Keep driving!" Lulu called out. "I'm gonna head out."
Turning over to the other side, Lulu popped out of the window and started shooting her blaster at the yokai, shooting them directly at their chests. The yokai yelled out in pain, being knocked off their motorcycles. She leaped through the window and onto the van before she pulled something from her mouth. Must be spider silk. She spits the white stuff between the tunnel of the bridge trapping their way. Once I drove around the corner, Lulu kept on spitting spider web gaps all over the town to slow our pursers down. I checked if they were gone and they were.
After we found a safe spot in the park, we exited the van and sighed in relief. "Well, that was fun," she said. "I think we finally finished our task."
I nodded in agreement before I felt a little concerned.
"Do you want to know why?" Lulu asked. "The truth is, the brainwashed yokai are working with Shadowside who replaced their milked blood with a mind serum with blood in it. The mind serum had a lot of venomous chemicals and it corrupted the yokai into a mutant soldier. With the blood completely filled in. Shadowside will unleash it around the world, including Earth. That is why I am investigating what was going on."
I was speechless. Shadowside is brainwashing yokai? That is so cruel and heartless! I was so mad that she wanted to use them and take over the world. I began to gesture to Lulu that I had to go find my sisters and warn them about Shadowside's evil plan.
"Well, if you are gonna leave, then take this." She gave me a small chemical vial with a label C.L.I on it. She stood up to her feet and grabbed the blaster and placed it onto her belt. "If you need me to help save the world, call me."
I was very grateful that I found evidence. I began to nod and bow to my new friend, and I started to head my way back to the water tower.
