It had been a long time since me and Mechchan had returned to the C.L.I building. We had just left the portal and found ourselves back to where we began, the place where Rin had been captured before our space adventure. It had been a long journey, through Mushroomvillie, Yobaivilie and Kokovillie but we finally made it.

"I have to go," said Prism. "Now that I am free. I need to find a place to live."

"Take care of yourself," said Mechchan. Bowing, Prism left. Now that she's gone we looked over at the building towering above us. Every bit of my thought raced. My sisters had been left behind and captured and now I am the only sister who has to make her way to save my sisters. The dark gray clouds are rolling over above the sky. My heart would not stop thumping and the cold air is making my spine crawl. Looking above the tower, I can see its fark silhouette, towering in the sky.

"If we could get in and save Rin," Mechchan began, "you might be able to regain your magic powers back. But it is going to be a very dangerous task, entering the building."

"It's not gonna be easy," I said. "Being on a solo mission."

"Do not worry," she told me. "I will guide you as much as I can. I scanned the security and the building so you might be able to get past. That way, I will hack down and shut down the security footage and laser beams."

Nodding, I began to climb up to the tower and reached the vent to get inside. Once I was inside, Mechchan did her work, deactivating the camera and lights. Crawling down and down the ceiling, I was in the main lobby. At least the guards are distracted long enough to check what was the problem. I grabbed my sword and I started to head my way around the corridors and sneaking past the cameras and coming across a laser trap. One false move and I am dead. I sneak past the beams without getting hit by them. Once I got past, I headed down the hallway. I sure hope that Rin and my sisters are okay. Who knows what the scientists will do to them? Bursting into the moving doors, I saw a few guards, guarding what appears to be Rin, still trapped inside a canister.

"Stay back," I warned. "I am here for Rin."

"Is that so?" A guard sneered. "Hook that girl up to the machine." The guards started to come toward me but I fought back. Using my fists, I punched them down before I dove and leaped over their heads, kicking them aside and throwing them across the room. They crash into walls, breaking vials, and onto the floor. One guard is about to shoot me with a tranq gun but I ducked out of the way and kicked him in the groin before smashing him into chemical waste. He went limp, his head hanging low. I took a long breath of relief and turned to Rin. My fairy guardian is still alive and unharmed. She had her hands on the glass and flapping her little insect wings, begging me to let her out.

"Rin," I called out. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine!" she called back, her voice coming from inside her cage. "Get me out of this canister!"

Grabbing it, I pulled the capsule off, letting Rin free before I smashed into the ground. The canisters break into glass pieces, scattering them across the floor.

"I am so glad you came back for me," she said with a smile. She flew over and hugged me on the chest before she realized someone was missing. "Wait, where are your sisters?"

I lowered my head. "They got them. They sacrificed themselves to save me, all because of those guards."

"C.L.I," the fairy gasped. "This is bad." She panicked. "We had to stop Shadowside and save your sisters before she released all the mutants around the world and destroyed humanity. Let's transform first."

Thanks to Rin's help, I was able to transform back to my super hero form. It had been such a long time since I last activated them. I really missed my magical powers, my dress, everything. Once I had it covered, me and Rin started to head down the hallway and up to the stairs.

"By the way, how did you find me?" she asked.

"I did," Mechchan spoke up from the communicator that she put on my wrist. "I befriended Shira and her sisters on Ukia before they got captured."

"Hey, who is this?" Rin asked, confused.

"Don't worry," I assured Rin. "Mechchan's my friend. She saved my life and she is gonna help me get through the building."

"Indeed. It was Shira who had rescued me," she says. "Now I am doing the favor to help you all out."

I began to smile, glad that Mechchan was on my side. We continued down the corridors until we encountered what appears to be another side of doors. I had a bad feeling about entering inside that room, but I had to know what secrets are beyond this room. We entered and we found ourselves in the main lab. The lab is full of so many strange liquid potions including a large vat of blue ooze, connected to something nearby.

Looking over, I saw three forms with black body suits, strapped to a draining machine. I did not see their faces because they were covered with a white sad like face structure, I think a mask. I was sure that there is something familiar about these forms, something about their smell and presence.

"So you finally made it here," a voice answered. I looked up in alarm, hearing the feedback. Shadowside knew I would arrive soon and she had found me at last.

"Shadowside!" I hissed. "Where are my sisters? What did you do to them?"

"Don't you get it? They're right in front of you."

I look back to where the three forms are, still in that machine. Rin let out a nervous whimper as Shadowside continued. "My guards had captured all of your sister and I milked every bit of their blood dry, replacing theirs with a mind serum I worked on. Now they are my perfect soldiers to take over the world."

"You witch!" I shouted. "Do you realize what you have done?!"

But the heartless woman did not care. "I will do the talking, girl. With my plan almost complete, the world will be mine forever, and I will be able to capture you and turn you into one of them."

There was a hissing noise and I realized that my sisters were done milking up. The straps and mask released them and I was horrified at what my sisters became. Their hair had been cut very short, and I can no longer see their beautiful locks drifting in the breeze. Manako's golden bright eyes are dull golden and have an emotionless expression on her face. Tomoka's glasses had been removed and her blue eyes are darker and dull than bright. Reika's red eyes are duller too, and had no emotion on her face. All three of my sisters had black jumpsuits on with the C.L.I logo on their chests.

I felt my tears leaking down from my eyes, not believing that my sisters are brainwashed.

"Do you see it now?" Yoruhi asked me. "I milked them dry and replaced them with their mind serum. They listen to everything I own and they are now my experiments, my super soldiers!"

I whimpered, a lump forming into the back of my throat. My sisters turned to me, and I know they can't transform into magical warriors thanks to Shadowside's command. Even without their magical powers, they can still fight.

"Fight, my soldiers," Shadowside commanded. "And good riddance, you stupid girl."

"Shira," Rin peeped, snapping me out of my stupor. "We have no choice. You have to fight your sisters to regain their control."

"I... I can't fight them!" I cried. "I can't fight my own sisters. I'm not strong enough!"

"You have to! Otherwise, will you let Shadowside take over the world?"

I bit my lip hard as I could before I let out a sigh. Maybe there is no other way. I clenched my fists before I glared at my brain controlled sisters. I began to attack, dodging my sisters with every blow I got, but no matter how many times I tried to fight, the girls beat me down to the ground. I could feel my plastron break when I hit the floor as I looked at my brainwashed sisters. I could not hurt them, but I had to wake them up. They are my sisters.

"I don't want to fight you," I pleaded. No matter how many times I tried, they kept coming. I was getting bruised, my shell cracked, and I coughed a lot of blood. I was getting weak, hurt and could not be able to fight my sisters. No, I had to keep on fighting. I struggled to my feet and started fighting more fiercely and more powerful than I ever expected as my sisters were getting exhausted. I gave them the final punch, knocking all three down to the ground.

I was not sure how long I had suffered a few injuries but I knew I defeated my siblings. They did not even get up or move. They remained very still. I exhaled softly as Rin floated next to my sister's side.

"Their blood is drained," Rin realized. "Shadowside must have the ooze with her and we can't let her inject the ooze and turn humanity into mutant soldiers to obey her order."

"Rin, look!" I shouted. Rin followed my gaze and sure enough, we saw a strange dark crystal matter, appearing on my sisters. "What is happening to them?"

"They turn into statues, crystal statues. Without their blood with the important molecule inside, they'll die."

I felt so devastated. All I wanted was to rescue my sisters but now I am too late. "Is there no way?"

"There has to be," Rin said. "We had to get the blood back into the girls and kill Shadowside. I am gonna fight with you from now on. Stay back." I took a few feet away as Rin began to flow and then, in her place, she stood in full size but had maintained her wings and had her floral hero form. Her hair had gotten all fluffy and she wore a tiara on her head, much to my amazement that I got to see her full form.

"Come on," said Rin. "Let's hurry."

Heading up toward the stairs, we finally managed to arrive at the rooftop where Shadowside is waiting. She had the mutagen in the slot of the large antenna, just enough to brainwash and mutate the world.

I took a deep breath and then clenched my fists. "Your time is up, Shadowside."

Shadowside turned around and faced me. "Well, you made it up here. I was sure that my soldiers were gonna defeat you. You're already too late. Now that the ooze is injected into the slot, it will spread around earth and turn every human being into super soldiers."

"You are insane!" Rin shouted. "If you release the ooze, all the humans will die!"

"That's the thing," Shadowside replied. "No human being will exist and all of every animal will be monsters. And you will be my mutant super soldier."

"That is not gonna happen!" I barked. "Your time will be over once we steal that ooze."

"Then you will have to get through me first," she snarled. She began to pull out a syringe of my sister's ooze and injected it into her skin. She started to mutate and change shape as the ooze coursed into her body. Me and Rin watched in horror as she transformed into something I had never seen. She had a blackish void body with red glowing eyes and blades coming from her shoulder.

"That is cheating!" shouted Rin. "You healed and mutated yourself into a monster, inside and out!"

"That is true. And there is no way I will let some freak screw this up!" Shadowside echoed.

I growled, before I started to attack Shadowside. She was really skilled, even for the likes of my powers. She summoned out her dark magic and shot it down right at me. I quickly dodged and summoned out my water attacks. Shadowside did not care about my attacks and she easily began to dodge. That was impossible. No longer was she able to detect my powers but she has the power to absorb my powers. I was getting beaten down, getting close to death. Yoruhi Shadowside was far too strong.

"Shira! Shira, come on!" Rin pleaded. She flew to my side and begged me to wake up. "You can't give up! Everyone is counting on you."

"I'm too weak," I whimpered. "There is no way Shadowside can be stopped. She has won."

Rin began to sob, tears leaking in her eyes. "I am so sorry. I wish I could protect you, but I couldn't."

"That's not true," I murmured softly. "When we met you, you gave us the brooches to make us transform. And we befriended a lot of friends along our journey."

The word slowly hit Rin, who slowly began to lift up her head. Was it possible? Shadowside slowly began to approach me.

"You truly have grown so weak. I will drain you all dry and transform the world into a perfect domain!"

"Big liar," I murmured, slowly climbing up. "You are just a freak of nature who doesn't care about everyone. You only care about yourself," I cried fresh tears as I stared the angriest dagger at the witch. "And everything has been destroyed because of you. Selfish witch."

Shadowside was shocked by my words until a sparkle started to surround me. Was that my determination? Rin looked over and gasped with shock. "Shira, the yokai! They're giving you your hope!" And indeed they are. Looking over, I saw a few yokai citizens on the shore and town, giving out their sparkles to me, making my strength far more great. They are helping me give their power to help me defeat Shadowside. I began to embrace the light until my hero outfit transformed into a ninja outfit. It coexists with a skirt, a scarf and I still regained my hairstyle, which had turned longer.

"Now it is time for me to banish you," I declared. Shadowside started to attack before I began to dodge her dark attacks. I opened up my wings and started giving a few good powerful kicks and punches while I flipped around in a circle and punched her in the head. Everyone around my side was cheering for me, making me feel even stronger and even braver. I flew around in the air, striking Shadowside with all my might. I kept my focus on the ooze vial on her waist and started to pull out my knives.

Focus.

Be strong.

Be like the ninja.

I began to charge right at Shadowside and made a perfect target on the heart. The blade impaled her through her heart as I managed to swipe the canister of ooze out of her waist. Shadowside's eyes widen with fear and can feel her ooze rapidly draining away. It leaked down from her chest, making her change between human and super soldier. "No! What have you done?!" She charged right at me but I punched her over and over again until I finally managed to kick her off the ledge of the building. I could not even tell that she screamed, falling to her death. I did not hear her land into the spikes below of the cliff where they impaled her, ending her life.

It was all over. Shadowside is official impaled.

"That's my warrior," Rin smiled. I turned back to my fairy friend and gave out an exhausted smile.

"We finally got what we had," I said, grabbing the ooze from the ground. "But first, let's burn this building down."

Rin nodded her head, as we went down the stairs, I called out to Mechchan. "Mechchan, we're gonna burn the building down. Get to a safe distance."

"On it," Mechchan nodded.

Once she was safe, we spilled oil all over the lab and the draining machine. Once we were at the door, We fuse two wires, setting an explosion in the lab and setting it on fire. With the flames engulfed, the C.L.I building will be nothing but debris. We started to head to the top where me and Rin flew down to the top of the hill. Mechchan was there, having gotten my sisters out of the lab in time. Sighing, we watched the C.L.I building burn down. At least I avenged Kanako's life and now I had to save my sisters.

"Okay, Shira," Mechchan said, putting the almost crystalized sisters down. "Just inject the syringe into their bloodstream. I added a dosage of adrenaline to get them alive."

Pulling out the syringe, I began to inject the ooze into my sister's blood on the arm. We waited to make sure if it worked, however, the crystalized matter started to continue covering my sisters.

"It didn't work?" Rin asked confused.

"Oh no," Mechchan gasped, realizing the horrible situation why it did not worked. "I think we're too late to save them."

My eye went wide with horror. "No. It can't be!" I rushed to Reika, Manako and Tomoka's side and began to cry. "Girls, no, come back!" I screamed. But however, it was already too late as they fully crystallized. Everything went pure silent for me, Rin and Mechchan as we looked down at my sisters. I did not move a muscle or speak. My sisters... they were drained, completely turned to crystals. I finally dropped to my knees and started to sob hysterically.

"It wasn't... " Rin hesitated. "It was all Shadowside's fault! She made them that way! We can still fix this!"

"Rin," Mechchan bleeped sadly. "I don't think there is a way."

I was devastated. After all that I had been through, I had lost them. They let me live and now they were milked, brainwashed and turned to crystals. I lowered my head down and hugged my sister's side, sniffling. "Come back, Rei, T, Manako. Please come back..." Tears began to stream down my eyes as I sob my heart out. I really knew there is no way to save my sisters, no way to save them. I had saved the world from Shadowside, avenged Kanako and now I had lost what was important to me: My sisters.

Memories flashed on my mind the day we grew up. I was quite kind to Manako, helping her pull her vegetables and berries. Tomoka used to show me how she found this book and made me understand what technology is. Reika did not get along with me, since she was quite harsh sometimes. Now that they helped me escape, they sacrificed themselves to let me live.

I was not sure how long I had been crying until I heard a small cracking noise. I looked up. Small cracks started to spread around my sister's crystalized bodies and then the cracks started to get bigger and began to fall apart. I thought I saw light coming from the cracks and before I knew it, the white light slowly began to melt away the crystallized stone and melted off my sisters.

My sisters let out a cough of air for the first time after becoming drained of life. They were alive!

"Hey... Shira," Manako murmured weakly, prying her eyes open.

"Girls!" I screamed with joy. I began to pull them up to my arms and sobbed with so much hope. "I can't believe it! You're alive! I thought you were gone!"

"I know," said Tomoka. "I can't remember what happened but the last thing we all knew, we were milked, but something brought us back. And it was you."

I never felt so overjoyed to see my sisters again. I hugged Reika, Tomoka and Manako in my arms, laughing happily as tears leaked down my eyes. I laughed and sobbed, so happy that they're alive.

"I think you deserved it, maiden," Rin smiled, "for being a brave hero."

"Thanks, Rin," I smiled, wiping my tears away. My eye were red and stinging from all that crying. I thought I felt Reika touch a hand on my shoulder. I looked and saw my sisters smiling at me. I smiled back before I noticed Mechchan, looking at the smoking remains of C.L.I.

"It is gonna be quite lonely," she said. "But perhaps I could come join you girls so I won't be lonely."

"Well, of course you could," I insisted. "You did help me and rescue my sisters."

"You had Mechchan to help save us?" Manako asked.

"Yeah. She did," I reassured. "Let us go home, girls."

I knew that I never gave up hope and I rescued the entire world and my sisters. Now that we're back together, we knew that we were a team again. I looked over at Rin and Mechchan who both smiled back at me and I looked over as the sun started to rise from the ocean. The orange and pink light shined against the cold dark sky, illuminating the warm lands. Looking over at my friends and sisters, I knew that we had rescued the world from disaster. Mother would be proud of us, and Kanako as well, if she was still looking down at us. I let out a gentle smile and we all knew that we are Half Heart Heroes, legendary hybrids.
