Pressure began to emanate from Orochimaru's body. Kakashi's forehead dripped with cold sweat, and he found himself unable to move before he was already sent flying courtesy of Orochimaru's fist.
Kakashi was launched ten meters away, but it didn't end there. Orochimaru began making hand seals.
"Ninja art: Snake Charmer Jutsu" Orochimaru declared.
A cloud of smoke spread from him, and several giant snakes appeared around Kakashi. Realizing he couldn't escape. The only tactic that had a chance of working would be to create a clone and travel to opposite directions to break through, but since Orochimaru is substantially faster than he is, that plan was thrown out the window. So he created a clone to watch his back as the serpents surrounded him.
Orochimaru sneered as he made a half-ram sign exclaiming, "Kai!"
Kakashi's pupils shrank as he felt the snake's chakra rapidly increasing to unsafe levels. 'They are about to explode!' thought Kakashi in a panic.
"Boom!" A massive explosion erupted near Kakashi.
"Kakashi-senpai!" Yugao cried out desperately, seeing the explosion.
Orochimaru ignored her, focusing instead on the dust from the explosion. He could still sense Kakashi's alive.
As the smoke cleared, Kakashi was revealed, his silver hair completely surrounding him like a blanket.
Seeing this, Orochimaru couldn't help but say, "I didn't expect that anyone would use that jutsu except that hopeless fool."
Orochimaru, having trained with Jiraiya for years, recognized the unmistakable jutsu of the perverted idiot at a glance.
After learning it from Jiraiya, Kakashi had begun training it himself. Kakashi didn't expect the technique to work so effectively. Certainly, against metal projectiles, but not against a concussive force like an explosion. Granted he also made sure to mix in soft cushions, but he thought it'd be more like a small buffer.
Kakashi glared at him. "It's a good technique, but unfortunately, it's not original."
At that moment, a katana slashed at Orochimaru's back. Orochimaru didn't even glance at it; a snake wrapped around the sword's wielder, pulling them back towards snake slitted man.
The wielder was none other than Yugao. She had finally managed to move.
Unfortunately, her attack had no effect on Orochimaru.
The snake coiled around her, pulling her toward Orochimaru.
Yugao hadn't expected Orochimaru to see through her attack, and she braced for death at his hands. He glanced coldly back towards the bound girl and said, "I'm not interested in you. Stay quiet and don't squirm." He says after knocking her unconscious with a chop to her neck.
But just then, Kakashi made his move!
Kakashi's right hand swung his Millennium sword horizontally toward Orochimaru.
"Do you really think this attack will defeat me?" Orochimaru taunted.
Orochimaru stopped the sword with ease, but then something surprised him!
The Millennium sword in Kakashi's hand transformed into Kakashi himself, blue lightning crackling around him as he unleashed Chidori with his sharingan blazing into view. As a second Kakashi comes from the ground also using his Chidori.
Stab!
With his Sharingan focused on Orochimaru, Kakashi drove the Chidori into Orochimaru's chest.
But something was wrong.
Kakashi quickly retracted his hand and while the second Kakashi cuts through the snake binding Yugao. They then swiftly took her and retreated.
The Orochimaru, who had been struck by the Chidori, turned into dirt.
"Earth clone and substitution," said a wary Kakashi quickly assessing his surroundings.
Orochimaru had used a substitution technique at the last moment to avoid Kakashi's attack.
Kakashi used the hair needle jutsu for protection, followed by a shadow clone to transform into the Millennium sword. His clone had held him like a sword, all part of a surprise attack.
Though his plan had worked, Orochimaru had evaded the attack thanks to his sharp instincts.
Up in a large tree, Orochimaru reappeared, and Kakashi faced him again.
"It seems I underestimated you," said a bemused Orochimaru.
Even though Orochimaru praised him, Kakashi didn't feel any sense of achievement. He had given everything in that attack, but Orochimaru had been completely unharmed except for a wound on his left arm from earlier. He wasn't even injured in that attack. This sense of helplessness weighed even more heavily on Kakashi. He brought a few of his trump cards, but using the sharingan coupled with shadow clones is starting to really dig into his reserves. He can go for maybe another five minutes using b and c rank ninjutsu if he kept playing with him, but he would be completely spent after.
Touching his left eye, Kakashi knew there was still a hidden ninjutsu within it, but at that moment, he couldn't use it. His soul merge was still incomplete, and his yin chakra wasn't enough to wield the mangekyō sharingan. Even if he could, it would take too long, and Orochimaru would never give him that much time.
The clone was thinking the same thing. Both performed the hand seals ending on a tiger.
'Fire release: great fireball jutsu' *fwwwoooo*
One shot the giant fireball upwards while the other aimed directly at Orochimaru.
"Well, it looks like I'm out of time," Orochimaru said, his voice cold. "I've enjoyed this fight. Now I think it's time to reunite a father with his son."
The Kakashis create multiple earth walls while the original Kakashi escapes and hides while the walls and clones delay Orochimaru 's pursuit, simultaneously hiding the original's escape.
Kakashi, exhausted and holding the unconscious Yugao in one arm, gripped the Millennium sword in his other. His chakra was nearly depleted, and he smiled bitterly. 'Looks like this might be the end. I don't even have the luxury to seal the sharingan or I won't be able to react. Why does this thing sap so much chakra?'
He hears a slight slither and hiss and immediately jumps back toward where he sent the signal in hopes that someone might be able to help them escape.
"Ninja art: Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!"
Orochimaru launched another offensive, but Kakashi had no strength left to resist.
'Damn, I don't have enough time, chakra, or stamina to pull off a shunshin or a shunpo. Am I really going to die this time?' he had thought looking at his end.
Just then, a large fireball erupted from behind Kakashi, incinerating Orochimaru's snakes and pushing toward Orochimaru.
Orochimaru's golden eyes widened, and he quickly made hand seals.
"Earth release: Earth Wall!"
A massive earthen wall rose, blocking the flames.
Kakashi glanced at who had arrived. His face brightened with relief while he turned immediately back towards the snake.
"Jiraiya-sama," Kakashi said, his voice filled with gratitude.
"Yeah," Jiraiya replied, his expression serious. His gaze wasn't on Kakashi but on Orochimaru.
"Jiraiya. I see you've come," Orochimaru said calmly. He didn't seem surprised by Jiraiya's arrival.
"Of course I'd come," Jiraiya replied, his voice filled with anger. "My best friend defected. How could I not come? Why did you defect? Even if you had issues with sensei, this wasn't the way! Tell me ya bastard!"
Jiraiya's voice was uncharacteristically harsh, showing just how much this had affected him.
