Kabuto Yakushi, the adoptive son of Nonō Yakushi who used to be in the Hidden Leaf's Secret ROOT Division under the command of Danzo.
Having been a spy from a young age, he never knew a home as he was on the move daily until one day he killed his mother by mistake when she tried to kill him.
After that, he met up with Orochimaru and learned & refined all the skills that he now knows while also helping the man keep track of his former associates in the Akatsuki by being a spy for them.
'I know there's a lot more about the guy that I about, but it's too much information right now to go into full detail about.' I thought as I walked alongside Kabuto while talking happily with the man, Sakura chiming in now & then while Sasuke walked behind us in case of an ambush.
"So, what have you all been up to these past few days?" He asked after finishing his story of how he's been on the run from a team that tried to steal his scroll, to which the three of us just looked at each other before both Sasuke & I shrugged as Sakura decided to answer.
"Hell. I don't think I want to do this ever again."
"I know it's bad for rookies, but was it that bad?"
"Worse than you could imagine." I answered with a shake of my head and he hummed before turning to Sasuke who had not answered.
"And you? Have anything to add?"
"No."
'Yep, there's the Sasuke Uchiha I know.' I thought with a smirk as Kabuto simply gave a sheepish chuckle at Sasuke's words before everyone went on guard as a pair of footsteps sounded from in front of us.
"So, there are still people not finished with their test, huh?" The masked guy dressed in a cream bodysuit asked in an amused tone as he stared at us, to which I simply frowned while glancing around to see numerous others dressed in black bodysuits crawling from out of the shadows.
'Well, shit.'
"If you wish to leave with your life, turn around & leave whatever scroll you have!" Sasuke ordered as he walked to stand in the front, with me silently moving to take his place at the back while Sakura & Kabuto took the side.
"Hehehe, that's funny. We were about to say the same thing to you." The shinobi spoke and I smirked as I heard Sasuke hum, already hearing the electric guitar in the background as he spoke.
" 'We', huh? So, your teammates are also around here, are they?" Sasuke asked and I simply waited for him to use his Sharingan to find them before my eyes widened as I remembered the Cursed Mark, turning my head slightly to see him gasp as he fell to his knees.
"Sasuke! What happened?!" Sakura exclaimed as she rushed to his side and I looked at Kabuto's nervous look before shaking my head as I turned back to the group that surrounded us.
'Hah, time to do what I usually do when my teammates are dead-weight in any game. Win this 1 vs many with a combination of skills, tactics and an ungodly amount of luck.'
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" I don't know why I vocalized the move as I used it, but it just felt right and it did help me concentrate on moving the chakra the way I should as five clones appeared around me in a puff of smoke.
Unlike what I thought, the Shadow Clone Jutsu was a lot easier to use than one would expect as all I needed to do according to Naruto's memories was section off my chakra into the number of clones I wanted before forming a human-like body around them and the chakra would do the rest.
"All right! You guys know what to do!" I shouted as I spun around & grabbed my surprised teammates before leaping towards the tree, an exclamation of surprise escaping Kabuto's lips as I left him to die.
"Sakura! My chakra feels weird! Is it a genjutsu?!" I asked as I continued leaping and it was not a complete lie as I was overly sensitive to my chakra since I didn't have it in my past life, which meant that any changes to it that wasn't normal caught my attention the moment it happen.
Hearing Sakura's shout of confused surprise as I felt her move around under my arm my eyes widened as the empty space in front of me quickly vanished to reveal a tree in our path, to which I spun pinning through the air while tossing both of them towards the tree's branches, landing with a grunt & cracking the bark below my feet as I turned in the direction of where I had ran from before the tree groaned as I ripped parts of it off with my heavy lunge.
'All right. No need to know how to use shuriken.' I thought with a deep breath as I pulled three shuriken from my pouch before aiming at the numerous illusion clones around my clones & Kabuto, the shinobi's eyes widening as I reared back before chucking the shuriken as hard as I could.
Kabuto quickly leapt out of the way as all three shuriken curved wide and my eyes widened as all three impacted something that sent blood spraying into the air.
"Damnit! He got Kagari!" One of his teammates in hiding shouted as he leapt away from his cover and my eyes widened as I saw the last of their group lying face first in a puddle of blood that was gushing from the deep gash in his throat.
'It's a video game! It's a video game! It's a video game!' I had to repeat myself to not collapse from the shock of seeing a dead body that was caused by me before a grunt escaped my lips as something smacked into me from behind.
Rolling across the ground, I quickly flipped to my feet before my eyes widened as I saw a clone in my place, the first assailant glaring at me from behind the clone while a kunai was stabbed into its neck.
"I'm going to gut you, slowly…and painfully!" He growled as he ripped his kunai out and I took a shaky deep breath as I reached for my kunai pouch before our eyes widened as his second teammate fell onto the floor.
Looking over to him, I stared in shock at the three kunai stabbed into his neck before jumping slightly as Kabuto landed next to me, a few cuts covering his body while he wiped away a few drops of blood from his face.
"Was that your first kill?" He asked as he spun his kunai into a frontal grip, our sole foe now looking a bit nervous and I gave a slight nod as I finally pulled out a kunai.
"Don't think about it or else you'll freeze again. When you're alone, you can break down but a shinobi must not show emotion in battle, understood?"
"Understood." I nodded as I pulled out another kunai before my hands flew into a familiar handsign as my chakra flooded out.
"Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu!" The shout had barely left my lips before a cloud of smoke completely encompassed the area, the smoke slowly fading while both Kabuto & our opponent stared in shock at the dozens of clones around us.
Even I was surprised as I saw the large number of clones around us before I shook my head as I turned back to the nervous foe.
"If you don't wish to end up like your friends, put down your scroll and move away. This is the first & only time I will give you this chance." I spoke and the Rain shinobi glared at me as he looked around to see the looks of determination on every clone's face, a defeated sigh escaping his lips as he raised his hands & nodded.
"I surrend-!" Before he could finish his sentence, my eyes widened as a kunai sliced right through his neck, my head snapping up to see Sasuke breathing heavily while a shocked Sakura helped him walk.
"Are you kidding me?! He was about to give up!"
"No, he wasn't! Left arm, in his sleeves." Sasuke responded and I frowned as one of the clones looked before its eyes widened as it reached forward & pulled out a pair of purple orbs from his sleeves.
"Poison smoke bombs & the lethal kind from the looks of it. Looks like we have to thank you for saving our lives there, Sasuke!" Kabuto shouted up to Sasuke, who simply nodded while I sighed as I swiftly dispelled all of the clones.
However I forgot one simple aspect of dispelling that many clones at one go: the memory transfer.
Immediately, my eyes widened as it felt as if a sledgehammer was slammed into my skull, my vision fading and the last thing I felt was a pair of hands catching me before I passed out.
"-okay?" That was the first thing I heard when I came to, a groan escaping my lips as I blinked a few times before my vision cleared to reveal a relieved Sakura looking down at me.
"You're okay just like Kabuto said."
"Kabuto?" I asked, blinking a few more times while sitting upright only to freeze as I saw the walls around us.
"Uh, where are we?"
"After you passed out like a wimp, Kabuto offered to help carry you to the central tower since the guys we fought had a Heaven Scroll. We arrived a few minutes ago and since then, Sakura decided that we should wait for you before opening the scrolls."
"Oi, what do you mean 'wimp'?" I asked with a glare as I stood up, grumbling at Sasuke's smirk before my glare turned into a confused frown as I realized how I was acting towards him.
'What…what was that?'
"So, now that you're awake, do you want to help open these?" I tuned back to hear Sakura's question, looking down at the Earth Scroll held out to me before standing up while taking it from her.
"So, just open them?"
"That's what we could decipher from that." Sasuke answered while gesturing to the wall in front of us, to which I looked up before frowning at the large scroll on the wall.
"Okay. Ready? Go." Sakura spoke as she opened hers & I was quick to follow, but I surprised them both as I quickly threw mine away before reaching out & throwing hers onto mine.
"What are…you…doing…?" I simply ignored Sakura trailing off in confusion as smoke began to emanate from the two scrolls, the kanji on them lighting up before a large smoke cloud appeared on top of it.
"Well done on passing the second exam, Team 7, and with a few hours to spare." Iruka spoke with a smile as the smoke dissipated, both Sakura & Sasuke surprised to see him while I sighed as I sat back down.
"Was it that bad?" Iruka asked me and I simply pointed at Sakura & Sasuke, the man raising an eyebrow as Sakura sunk to her knees in relief while Sasuke followed my lead by sitting down while resting a hand on the back of his neck.
"This might sound rude, but is there any bed that I can rest in for the next few hours left?"
"And a bowl of ramen that I can eat?" The words slipped from my mouth before I could stop them, but it was a good thing as Sakura & Sasuke rolled their eyes while Iruka chuckled as he nodded.
"Yes & yes to both. Why don't you follow me so I can show you to your rooms and after that, I'll show Naruto where the cafeteria is?"
"Yippee~!"
'I was amazing in that fight.' I thought with a thoughtful smirk as I looked at the wall adjacent to my bed, Sakura sleeping peacefully on my right while Sasuke was deep in thought on my left.
I don't know how I even managed to pull off what I did and I would chalk it up to adrenaline if not for the fact that none of my movements was wasted, my mind & body moving seamlessly as one to complete the objective of surviving my very first battle.
Granted, there was the moment of missing my shuriken, but even then, I had perfectly reached into my pouch & thrown them without even looking compared to the hesitance I showed before in my 'training.'
"So, you gonna explain what that was earlier?" I blinked as Sasuke's voice knocked me from my thoughts, looking over to see him sitting on his bed with a frown and I glanced over at Sakura to see her still sleeping.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean you throwing the scrolls away before the kanji could even light up. You've been acting strange ever since you woke up after our fight against Orochimaru."
"Well, you changed a lot too. You didn't cuss out Sakura when she tried to help you every chance she got. Wanna explain that?" I asked, raising an eyebrow as he frowned while looking away.
"It's nothing."
"Then my thing is also nothing. No one could expect us to be the same group of idiots after we got attacked by someone like that."
"That…is true. …Are you sure you're Naruto & not some guy trying to hide like him?"
"Maybe~ but you're too weak to do anything about it." I answered with a wave of my hand, Sasuke scoffing before we turned as we heard a giggle from my side.
"Really? I didn't think eavesdropping was your thing." Sasuke spoke and Sakura gave a sheepish smile as she opened her eyes & sat upright.
"Sorry, I couldn't help it."
"Don't worry about it. The dumbass here probably felt too shy to talk with me in front of you."
"You want me to punch your teeth out again, idiot?"
"I'd like to see you try." I spoke with a grin while holding a fist up, Sasuke smirking while Sakura giggled before we looked over as the door to the room opened.
"Well, well~ Look at how close you three are. And here I thought I would enter to Naruto trying to get his ass kicked by Sasuke like usual." The silver-haired man known as Kakashi Hatake spoke with an eye smile and I simply looked at him with a deadpan stare while Sasuke snorted & Sakura giggled.
"Yeah, nothing like a life-&-death fight to make you realize that nothing is worth holding grudges about."
"…Did I hit my head or did Naruto just actually say that?"
"Yeah, he said that. Don't worry, he's not someone transformed as Naruto nor is it some kind of genjutsu."
"…You two sure? He's too calm to actually be Naruto."
"Itching powder & food dye." That was all I said as I stood up, Kakashi blinking before he paled slightly as he saw the happy grin on my face.
"Keep making fun of me and we'll see how an itchy Kakashi-sensei likes walking around with bright pink hair & a moustache on every mask he has."
"…Yeah, that's Naruto."
"Believe it!" I answered with a grin before I blinked as I realized that the catchphrase slipped past my lips, Kakashi's chuckle making me blush a bit before I quickly shook my head to get rid of the embarrassment.
'Okay, I guess my body & mind are slowly syncing together with Naruto's memories. Hopefully, I don't develop an addiction to ramen. Oh, who am I kidding? I adored the stuff in my past life & in this one.'
"So, what are you doing here, sensei?" I asked, trying to get rid the memory of my catchphrase from everyone's minds and Kakashi stopped his chuckling to shrug while taking out a familiar orange book.
"What else? I'm here to fetch you guys. It's time for the teams to gather for the final exams."
'Just one word and Orochimaru would be attacked by every jonin here within milliseconds.' I thought with a frustrated frown as I faintly heard the Third speaking, glancing over at the Sound team's Jonin standing there with a smirk on his face.
Orochimaru was not even hiding his smile whenever he looked at Sasuke, the Uchiha in question occupied with his own problems as he tried to stop Sakura from getting him dropped out.
Just a few words from me to catch the old man's attention and the Monkey King would be summoned faster than Guy can shout 'Youth!'.
However, I also know that doing so would result in a fight between literal monsters, which could lead to most of us getting killed in the process while the Hokage, Kakashi & Guy fought against Orochimaru.
I could include the other jonin in that, but they would also have to deal with not only Baki, but also the other Sand Shinobi and if they get involved, I can bet both of my nuts that Gaara is going to transform.
In other words, I don't want to fight Shukaku right now so that means no talking about Orochimaru.
'Am I going to regret this? Probably. Am I also a big bitch for not wanting to fight right now? Also, yes.'
"Come on, you need to tell them about the mark." I tuned back from my thinking to hear Sakura speak, looking in front of me to see her & Sasuke stuck in a heated whispering discussion while the people around us tried to listen in.
'I should stop them before they start talking louder.'
"Uh, Sakura, if you go through with this, I don't think Sasuke's going to be speaking to you for the next couple of years." I whispered to them and Sakura frowned while Sasuke looked at me before nodding.
"Try for as long as I'm living."
"Yeah, that. Besides, we both know he can at least last long enough to figure out some way to fight even if he keeps falling to his knees because of the hickey on his neck." I spoke with a grin, which widened as Sakura gave a soft giggle while Sasuke turned his head slightly to glare at me.
"That was not…needed."
"It was. See, now she's not trying to stop you now." I answered while gesturing to Sakura, Sasuke turning to see her staring at him before letting out a sigh as she turned & nodded.
"O-Okay. Okay, I won't say anything, but please let Kakashi-sensei take a look at it after your match."
"That was the plan." He answered and I hummed before we looked to the front as a brown-haired Leaf shinobi with a flak jacket appeared kneeling in front of the Hokage.
"Apologies for interrupting, Lord Hokage, but perhaps I can take over this part?"
"Of course, Hayate. As proctor, I can't stop you." The Third spoke with a smile and Hayate nodded as he stood up while turning around to look at us.
"Apologies for the interruption, but as we have too many participants, we're going to have to do a preliminary round to even out the numbers."
'Hah, the one part I was afraid to do.' I thought with a frown while ignoring the group of teenagers protesting about how unfair it was & how they were already sick of fighting.
'Guess I have to get ready for my fight against Kiba' I thought with a frown as Hayate spoke & gestured at the large plasma screen that appeared from within the walls, a sigh escaping my lips as I closed my eyes while hearing names being flashed rapidly on it.
As soon as I heard the ding, I opened my eyes & looked up in expectation to see Sasuke's name shining on the large screen only for my eyes to widen at the name that was in its place.
Naruto Uzumaki vs Yoroi Akadō
'Whatever divine being is looking at me right now…Fuck you.'
A/N: I'm really spoiling you guys today, huh?
Canon is already being messed with and I love it~!
Like I said, the longer he sits with his new memories & his new body, the more his body & the two different lives will sync up until he is someone completely new, neither Naruto nor his past life.
Also, I'm not going to nerf the Shadow Clones because doing so would make this story a lot harder but what I am going to do is make it harder to use for him compared to Naruto at the beginning since unlike Naruto, he didn't train with it for hours in order to figure out the basics/ fundamentals of the jutsu itself.
Basically, he's going to get more & more used to the memory transfer the more he uses it until he can use it at the same level as Naruto.
Anyway, here is the new & improved schedule on Pat-reon that will also include a couple of new stories that are not on here so look & see which ones you like.
