Josh
I never expected Jaxon to be as amazing as he was, I had a hard time trusting anyone around my kids but he was literally amazing. He even took them to the zoo. I was listening to Ashe tell me all about it and how much fun she had. Even Janna seemed to be in a good mood, I was very impressed so far and I am glad he is not keeping them cooped up. The only issue I have is that he has a gun but I feel like he would never let any of the girls near it and he is very careful with it. It was just after 730 pm and we managed to get both girls down, Ashe was getting easier and easier to put down and I wondered if that had something to do with how busy they are. "I have to say taking them to the zoo was brave" I said. "It was fun, and Ashe really listens well" he said, "Wait are we talking about the same kid?" I asked, he laughed, "yes has her moments but, I am trying to teach her the severity of these threats and she doesn't want to get taken or whatever they are planning" Jaxon said. "Well thank you, honestly knowing they are safe is a huge relief" "of course and I want to say you getting hurt was a real bummer" he said, "yeah well in a way I feel like it was a blessing, I mean I love basketball I always will but seeing my girls grow up. That to me is something I will never get back" I said. "True, they are great girls too" he said this made me smile. The fact that Ashe warmed up to him so quickly and how good he was with juggling both girls and other things was something not even Sylvie could do. "Can I ask who you work for or is that stretching it?" I asked, "oh um well I work for my dad technically, we are with an organization called PIGEONS" he said. "I have never heard of it" I said, "no and there is a reason for that, we tend to come out when there is a family or someone in need of protecting" he said. "What does it stand for?" I asked, "Protecting individuals, grand, elite organization and normalizing of society" he said. That was a mouthful, but I have never heard of it. I am grateful to the fact that mayor knew about it because without it Janna and Ashe might not be here with us right now.
"I am glad the mayor sent you" I said, "yes well the mayor and my father are friends, so I am not surprised. I am glad he sent me too, this is my first real assignment, and I am not going to let my father down" he said. "Wait so my kids are your first assignment?" I asked, "yes but I assure you I am well trained and take it very seriously" he said. "I know I just well I was well I don't actually know" I said, "Josh when I heard it was your family asking for help, I jumped on the opportunity. I am a huge fan, and I really don't want to let you down" he said. "So far I am impressed, and I mean anyone who can make Ashe happy is good in my books. That girl has been a daddy's girl her whole life so the fact that she has warmed up to you so fast is amazing" I said. "Good well I am glad she is a great kid, and she makes me laugh" he said, "she makes me laugh too, I am going to be out again tomorrow. I am trying to figure out what I am doing with my life now that I am not playing basketball" I said. "Sure, no problem the girls are safe with me" he said smiling and I knew that they were. I headed up to bed, Sophie was just finishing with her shower, and she climbed into bed with me. "I am glad we have Jaxon" she said. "I am too, he literally amazes me, and I know I am hard to please" I said, "you are but Josh, I love you" she said. "I love you to Sophie, and I am trying to find work or figure out schooling" I said. "I am not worried, we have more than enough money right now" she said. I kissed her as she cuddled into me, and I wondered if we would ever end up having more kids. I mean of course I didn't want to bring another kid into this mess but a part of me did want to have a little boy. I fell asleep thinking about it and ended up with a pretty vivid dream.

I slept a little more this time, but I was still on alert at all times, I couldn't let the Davis family down or my father. I mean being a part of the PIGEONS was a privilege, or it is what I was always told. I made sure to set an alarm before seven and was up and had coffee and everything made before Sophie and Josh woke up. I heard the pitter patter of little feet and Ashe was running down the stairs to me, "Morning little lady" I said, "JAXON!" she squealed running at me full blast. I scooped her up and spun her around, "can we play princess tea party?" she asked, "of course" I said it was not like I was going to say no to her. I didn't want or need a meltdown and keeping her happy was my main goal. She put on her princess dress and Tiara and even gave me one. I didn't wear the dress though that is where I drew the line, she was alright with that. We drank tea until we couldn't anymore and ate something she called cumpets. I knew they were crumpets, but I liked her word better, Sophie came down with Janna dressed and ready to go for the day. "Thanks" she said pouring some coffee and kissing Ashe before going to school. "Can I go get daddy?" Ashe asked, "I actually hear him, and he is coming down" I said as Josh walked down the stairs. "Daddy! play tea party with us" she said, "I would love to kiddo but later, daddy has to go find work" he said. He too poured some coffee kids his girls and left. Now it was just us and Janna started to cry and then Ashe cried. "Ashe what is wrong?" I asked as I picked up Janna. "She ruins everything!" Ashe whined, "she just needs to be fed she is not ruining anything" I said, "I want you to play with me" she said, "I will in fact, I will feed her and then we can head to the park" I said this made her smile. I fed Janna and packed a few things I would need as I bundled them both up and headed out the door. Ashe tried to run off in front of me, but I caught her arm, "we do not run off remember" I said, "right sorry Jaxon" she said as she walked nicely beside me.
Ashe was playing on the playground, and Janna was laying on her back in the snow, I was trying to change her diaper all while keeping my eyes on Ashe at all times. More kids came to the park and that meant more adults, I was more on alert now as I didn't know if any of these people could be a threat. "JAXON watch me!" Ashe said as she attempted to jump of the jungle gym I ran over there and caught her she was a little daredevil. "We will not be doing that again little lady" I said. "I wanted to fly" she said, "well we can't fly and now we need to go" I said throwing her over my shoulder and getting a few giggles. I had Janna in the other arm as we headed to Mr. Porters, I was going to buy Ashe a milkshake and some food, and warm Janna up a bit her cheeks were getting rosy. It was a successful morning and afternoon as we headed back home, Ashe as skipping I think the milkshake made her hyper my bad.
