I decided not to keep the letter a secret, I mean Sophie deserved to know. I felt like this was a different threat and we all needed to be protected. I felt comfortable with Jaxon staying with Ashe at all times. I wanted someone to follow Sophie around at school and someone to have with me just in case. I was also going to find out from Jaxon if he wanted both girls or just Ashe, most of the time I could bring Janna with me but when she was older, I would need to hire someone for her too. I didn't care the cost of all of this keeping my family safe was my main priority. I also finally figured out what I want to do with my life now that I can't play basketball. I know it might take me a little bit but being 23 years old I feel like I have time. I am going to study to become a lawyer. I wanted to help people but also challenge myself I think I would be good at it, I wanted to help put the criminals behind bars. Heck I might even be able to nail these threats if I study hard enough. I signed up for classes, and I was glad that our community college had them. I also spoke to Trevor, and he agreed to help me out. He said he needed another good lawyer in this town as he was overworked. No one was home when I walked in, that meant Jaxon had the girls at the park or something. I started on dinner and waited for my girls to come home. I did still want to have a boy but with this letter being delivered it changed everything. I know now that someone is watching us and knows where we live, things became real. I have no idea who this admirer is but the sounds of it she wants me. That is the scariest part as it literally could be anyone, any girl walking down the street that smiles at me could be her.
I was going to go tomorrow to that hospital and make sure that Sadie was still locked up I felt like this had her written all over it and that was scary enough. I knew she would do whatever it takes to get me, but this person felt different as they wanted to raise my kids too, so that was not Sadie. She tried to kill Ashe, so I knew this had to be someone different. Either way I was going to check tomorrow, Sophie came home before Jaxon. "Hey" I said, "hi, smells good" she said, "I made us dinner, but we should talk" I said. "Uh oh sound serious" "It is Sophie there is someone else after us" I said, "What?" I showed her the letter and she looked furious. "Seriously! I mean is this that Sadie girl?" she asked, "I am not sure, I am going to check but I feel like this is someone different" I said. "Well, it infuriates me, you are mine!" she said, "yes and I love you and how jealous you are but Sophie this is serious. I want to hire more guardians or whatever Jaxon is" I said. "For whom?" "Well, you for one she doesn't talk about you at all in the letter and that worries me. Also, for me I just don't feel safe, and I am not sure if Jaxon wants to watch both girls" I said. "So, someone would be following me around?" she said, "yes in a way just to be safe" I said, "okay babe but we need to figure out who this is" she said, "I know, and I will talk to Jaxon about it, see if we can get more of him" I said. "I would prefer a girl, for me I just not sure how I would feel with a male following me around" she said. "I get that, and I would prefer a girl for you too. I love you Sophie and we are going to figure this out. They took your sister too" I said, "I know mom told me but like why? I just don't get it" she said, "me either but I checked with my dad, and he said nothing happened with him yet. I am worried they might target Evelynn" I said. "Why though! Like I want to know what their blood has to do with anything?" she said, "I don't know, it must create something or help them but regardless I trust the right people to figure this out" I said.
"Me too have you heard from Jaxon?" she asked I could tell she was worried about the girls now that we knew another threat was out there. Just before I could text him, they walked in the door. Sophie took Janna and fed her; she was getting bigger now and we were trying out purees she hated most of them. While Ashe was eating, I showed Jaxon the letter, "this was on your doorstep?" he asked, "yes" "Oh man, well I will keep the girls safe, I promise you on that, but I think we need to keep you and your wife safe too" he said. "I agree can you get 2 more? Sophie said she will like a girl if that is possible" I said, "yeah let me go call my dad hang on" he said as he walked away. I asked Ashe how her day was, and she went into full detail of everything that they did. I had a feeling that she was going to thrive in school, and I wondered about possibly sending her to a private school. I knew that they would cater more to her needs than a public school and she might be more challenged, I knew we could afford it so I was going to look into it. I wanted Ashe to have everything she wanted, I wanted her to follow her dreams and thrive and not get bored, I know she was smart that was not even a question in my mind. Jaxon came back and told me that his dad would send 2 more PIGEON members tomorrow. "Are you okay with both Ashe and Janna?" I asked, "yes definitely" he said, "Okay and when Ashe starts school" I said, "I still feel like I can take them both, I have no problem with Janna she is pretty chill' he said. "I know but she won't always be little" I said, "that is true, but I like the challenge, and she will keep me entertained while the little miss in class" he said. "Alright, thanks for this Jaxon" I said, "no problem and my dad wants to see the letter if he can" he said. "Sure" I said and he nodded taking it as he left the house, but I was surprised when he came back in. "I thought you were delivering the letter" I said. "I did, gave it to Finn" he said, "who is that?" I asked, "our carry pigeon, he was at the door" Jaxon said. I literally had no idea those still existed, but the name PIGEON made sense now. I wondered who was going to come tomorrow and take care of Sophie and myself, I really hoped that these threats were caught soon I hated looking over my shoulder everywhere I went.
