I felt like everything was going to smoothly, the princess thing was a huge hit, and I felt like something was off. I couldn't figure it out though that was util we heard Sophie scream. We all ran upstairs, and Janna was gone, I looked at Carter and he and I were thinking the same thing. We took off out the door that princess didn't get far. We went in opposite directions. This sort of put a halt into Ashe's party and I felt bad, but I was also now on a mission to find her sister. I had the address of the woman but would she have gone home. A part of me felt like she didn't take her either, we all saw this woman leave and she didn't have Janna. I felt like she was in on it in a way, but I didn't think that it was her. I tried to think of who could take her and how someone could have slipped past us at the party. I knew it was not any of the adults but the kids, would they do something like this. I tried to think who was not there just before the princess left. I did not recall seeing Evelynn, but she seemed to innocent I just felt like this was an inside job and I had my work cut out for me. Would her family really be behind this or was I reading too much into it? I approached the house cautiously and it seemed to be empty. I was able to slip in the back door as it was unlocked. I searched the entire place, but it was empty, and now I had no idea where to go. I walked outside and noticed Finn. "Where is she?" I asked the bird, he looked at me and flew off I followed him the best I could, I had no idea if he was leading me to the right place or not. We ended up at a warehouse and I could hear a baby crying I knew I was in the right place. "Finn go get Carter" I said and he flew off. I knew going in without back up would be dumb, but I needed to make sure Janna was alright.
This was not the work of the woman I could hear a man's voice, "you brought me a baby! what the hell am I supposed to do with her!" Xavier yelled. "You said you need Davis blood!" a woman yelled, "yes of the child you idiot not the baby!" he yelled again. This was my first time seeing their faces so this was the man taking their blood but what did he need it for? I was still confused but I watched, Janna seemed to be okay she was crying but she was not being harmed. I needed to do this strategically; I didn't want to risk her or anyone else getting hurt. I still had no idea who took her from the house but then I saw her. "You may leave now" the man said and it was the detectives daughter, one of the twins. I was so confused how she was a part of this, was he using her. I was going to need my team to do a check on her, I felt like something was off there. Now was my chance Janna was alone briefly and I ran to her and picked her up. I made it out of the building as my dad and the team arrived, I had Janna she was safe, and they all ran inside. I have no idea how they knew but the building was completely empty. He just slipped through our fingers again, this was beginning to become a pain in the ass. "She good?" my dad asked me, "she is yeah but dad check out the twin, um the detective's daughter she is the one who brought Janna here" I said. "Really?" he said, "yeah" I said and he nodded I knew my dad would be able to figure it out she was being controlled or something. I mean she would not do this willingly. I bet she didn't even know she was doing it, and that is what worried me the most. I checked Janna over too just to be safe and I took her to get and x-ray. I didn't want to risk her having some sort of tracking device or microchip that I didn't know about.
She was fine and no signs of any damage, I was able to bring her home and I noticed the party was over, the cake was untouched, and Ashe was not downstairs. I sighed as I ran up to her room she was sniffling on her bed and I sat beside her, "Jaxon?" she said, "hey little lady" he said, "did you find her?" she asked, "we did, she is okay, but I am more worried about you" I said. "My party was ruined; I am glad Janna is okay, but it is my fault" she said. "How is it your fault?" I asked, "I wanted the princess here" I said, "believe it or not little lady but the princess had nothing to do with your sister disappearing. The good thing is she has been found and okay" I said. "Can we have cake now?" she asked, and I laughed, "For you anything" I said as I picked her up and we headed downstairs. It might be a little late, but it was still her birthday, and I wanted her night to end on a positive note. She hugged her sister, and we all sang her happy birthday before I cut the cake, and we all had some. Ashe had a smile on her face as I tucked her into bed. I knew tomorrow I would need to make it up to her, but I was positive that the after party would be even better. She had all these new toys to play with and she still has yet to open mine, it was still sitting in my room. I bought her a pink bike I was going to teach her how to ride it. I went to check in with my dad and see if he found out what was going on with the twin. I didn't remember what her name was, but I was going to get Ashe checked over tomorrow too. There was something about it that had me worried, if he was using something to control them, I had no idea if it was going to be in all of them. This whole hex tech stuff scared me and if he had their DNA who knows what he was going to do with it all. It was our mission to figure it out and shut this stuff down but with summer starting things were going to get a lot crazier in Adventure Bay. With the tourists coming and all that stuff it made things harder for me as the threats had better chances to blend into the crowds. The woman after Josh was the one bugging me the most as none of us knew what she really looked like. I sat on the couch trying to figure it out when Addison sat beside me I didn't say anything but I had a feeling she was going to say something.
