Sorry I made a mistake and reposted chapter 2 as chapter 3
Handsome. So handsome. Wait, what am I saying? I'm a married woman with children. What am I even talking about?
"Minato-kun, do you know him?" Kushina asked after snapping out of her daze.
"No," Minato replied.
"How can you not know him? You have all the files of the people in the village!" Jiraiya, one of the Sannin, exclaimed.
"It's not like I remember all of them," Minato said indifferently.
Naruto ignored all the murmurs around him and continued walking toward one of the trees in the training ground. He leaned against it and tried to nap, but he could still feel all the eyes on him. Irritated, he looked at them and yelled:
"What's your problem, people? Never seen a human walking before?"
Naruto's tone was sharp. He genuinely didn't care about anyone and showed no loyalty to these people, doing whatever he pleased.
One of the civilians from the council shouted, "You insolent brat! Show some respect! We're the council, and Hokage-sama is here!"
Naruto raised his hand lazily, flipping them off. "Fuck you all," he muttered, then went back to napping under the tree's shade.
Everyone's faces were a mix of disbelief and confusion.
"WTF"
What nonsense is this?
Their shock was interrupted when two girls entered the testing grounds: Mito Uzumaki-Namikaze and Satsuki Uchiha. They were puzzled to see the civilians, clan heads, and the Hokage all with stunned expressions.
Naruto waited patiently, still feeling some fresh gazes on him, but he ignored them.
About an hour later, Iruka arrived with the other students for the test.
Naruto woke up and leaned against the same tree to hear what the instructor had to say.
"Alright, students, we're starting the field test now. First, we'll begin with shuriken and kunai throws. Ladies will go first."
The results were as follows:
Civilians: Below average to average.
Mito Uzumaki-Namikaze: 10/10 kunai, 9/10 shuriken.
Satsuki Uchiha: 10/10 kunai, 10/10 shuriken, followed by her trademark arrogant Uchiha smirk aimed at Naruto, who kept his eyes closed, much to her disappointment.
Narako Uzumaki-Namikaze: 10/10 kunai, 8/10 shuriken, smiling brightly and flashing a peace sign at her family.
Hinata Hyuga: 9/10 kunai, 8/10 shuriken, exuding the typical Hyuga arrogance, unlike the shy Hinata of Naruto's old world.
Ino Yamanaka: 7/10 kunai, 6/10 shuriken.
Sakura Haruno: 7/10 kunai, 6/10 shuriken.
Many clan heads felt a little proud of their children, while most civilians were disappointed with their kids' performance.
Ino looked at her father, hoping for approval, but saw only disappointment on his face. What did she expect? She'd been too focused on her crush, Menma, and had neglected her responsibilities as the clan heir.
Inoichi Yamanaka bowed his head in shame at his daughter's results, while Mebuki Haruno remained emotionless. She had expected this outcome but believed her daughter's intelligence would help her mature and secure a position in the civilian council eventually.
Iruka sighed in disappointment at the overall performance of the girls, except for a few clan heirs.
"Alright, ladies, good job. Now it's the boys' turn."
The results were as follows:
Civilians: Below average to average.
Shikamaru Nara: 8/10 kunai, 8/10 shuriken.
Choji Akimichi: 8/10 kunai, 7/10 shuriken.
Kiba Inuzuka: 9/10 kunai, 9/10 shuriken.
"Behold the greatness of the alpha! Come to me, ladies!" Kiba exclaimed with a smug grin.
In the audience, Tsume Inuzuka and her elder daughter, Hana, looked at him in disdain.
Shino Aburame: 8/10 kunai, 7/10 shuriken.
Menma Namikaze: 10/10 kunai, 9/10 shuriken.
Menma pointed at Naruto and shouted, "Beat that, you loser outcast!"
Naruto ignored him, keeping his eyes closed, which only made Menma angrier.
"Alright, the last one for the boys: Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze," Iruka announced.
The mention of that name hit the Hokage, his wife, and the Sannin like a bolt of lightning.
Kushina stammered in disbelief, "Naruto? Is that Naruto? How? When? Did we even register him at the academy? Did you do that, Minato-kun?"
Minato was lost in his own world, the shock of hearing his eldest son's name overwhelming him. Just minutes ago, he thought he had only three children, and now memories of Naruto surfaced, unearthing guilt and regret.
"I didn't," Minato finally muttered.
"Wait... did we really forget him?" Tsunade whispered as Kushina sobbed into her husband's shoulder, reflecting on how thoroughly she had ignored her son.
The guilt consumed them all, including Jiraiya, who had to admit he'd forgotten the sweet godson he once cherished.
Meanwhile, in the audience, people murmured among themselves after hearing Kushina's words. Guilt began to creep into their hearts for not recognizing the son of their greatest hero.
Naruto stepped forward and addressed the chunin, "Excuse me, Iruka-sensei, please refrain from calling me Namikaze again. I'm just Uzumaki."
Hearing his eldest son reject his surname felt like a dagger to Minato's heart. Tears streamed down his face as silence enveloped the crowd.
Naruto took the kunai indifferently, infused it with wind chakra, and threw it with such speed and precision that no one could follow its trajectory. The kunai struck the bullseye dead center.
He then grabbed ten shuriken, five in each hand, and manipulated them with advanced wind control, guiding them flawlessly to the target.
Veteran ninjas were stunned, but none more so than Minato and Asuma, the only two proficient wind chakra users in the village. Even the Sannin felt the magnitude of Naruto's skill.
The question loomed over everyone: Who trained Naruto?
Naruto returned to the tree where he had been earlier, sensing Menma's seething hatred. He smirked slightly, adding to Menma's frustration.
"Naruto Uzumaki: 10/10 kunai, 10/10 shuriken," Iruka announced.
"Alright, students, next is the taijutsu test. Ladies first. Hinata Hyuga versus Mito Uzumaki-Namikaze."
The two girls stepped into the training field.
"Ready? Begin!" Iruka signaled as he jumped back to avoid their clash.
I Enjoy
