Hi, everyone! Welcome to Book II of the Mizuki series. I hope you all enjoy this story as much as I did while writing it. Please feel free to review, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Disclaimer: I don't own My Hero Academia or any of its characters. Mizuki, however, is my own creation.

Let's start with the story, shall we?*

Chapter 18

The next morning…

It was 5:30 AM early in the morning. It was much too early for a lot of students from the class of 1-A. Hair stood in all possible directions, yawns escaping tired lips. A few eyes were rubbed, tears stinging a few pairs of eyes. Yet, there were students who were fresh early in the morning.

Katsuki stood ready, arms by his side and crimson eyes looking around. He had a decent night filled with sleep, a part of him still causing him to toss and turn since early morning. He searched for the cause of his thoughts but strangely couldn't find her.

Was she still sleeping?

"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! Today, we will begin training camp to increase your strength in earnest," Aizawa spoke up. He eyed the group of students, taking in the tired appearance and knowing that they had a tough day ahead of them. A day of hell.

Izuku rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and looked at their teacher. He slept well and early morning training wasn't irregular for him. It seemed like Shoto was in the same boat as he stood next to him.

"Midoriya, did you sleep well?" Shoto asked the green haired boy and he nodded with a grin. He recalled the conversation that he eavesdropped on the night before but said nothing of it. After all, he got a lot of answers out of what was said.

"Yip! What about you?" Izuku asked and Shoto grunted in reply. Uraraka came in next to Izuku, the duo greeting each other, Iida only giving a robotic wave. Shoto looked forward again, his eyes catching sight of Katsuki's back, Eijiro standing next to him.

Eijiro resisted a yawn that wanted to escape his lips and blinked away the tears that threatened to form in the corner of his eyes. He stood next to Katsuki, the male not looking tired at all. He looked completely normal.

This must be normal for him to wake up and train early… Eijiro thought and glanced to the side, searching for the female twin. He blinked a few times, not finding her anywhere. He raised an eyebrow and frowned. Mizuki was late?

"The goal of this training camp is to increase everyone's strength and with that, for everyone to obtain their provisional licenses. It's to prepare you all to face hostilities that are becoming more real by the minute. Proceed carefully," Aizawa told them and frowned.

"That said… Where is Mizuki?" The scruffy male asked, also noticing the missing presence of the class representative. He glanced at Katsuki who was looking for his sister and his frown deepened. He also didn't know?

"Um, Aizawa Sensei…" Mina spoke up and jumped when Aizawa's eyes snapped onto her figure. "I think she's still inside. We, ah, tried to wake her up and assumed she would join us but…" She trailed off and the class paled when Aizawa's hair briefly floated up.

Mizuki was still sleeping. Oh no. Izuku could felt his blood freeze in his veins at the realization. He kept her up late and caused her to sleep in. She was going to kill him when she woke up! He was in big trouble.

"Mizuki is still sleeping?" Eijiro asked his tone of voice coming out uncertain. Katsuki's brows twitched at his question, his agitation clear. Yet, there was also a trail of sweat that cascaded down the side of his face.

"That girl… Don't go anywhere. I'll go get her," Aizawa said, walking off with a scowl on his lips and caused both Katsuki and Izuku to freeze up. He was going to wake her up and unleash hell upon them all? Was he crazy?!

"Why do I get the feeling that this is not going to end well?" Eijiro asked, a nervous smile on his lips as he watched the homeroom teacher's figure vanish inside the building. It was already bad that she was late but now she was still sleeping in?

"That idiot, now we're all screwed." Eijiro gave Katsuki a blank look and he growled. "If you wake up that, she'll let all hell break loose. An angry, sleep deprived Fabric Conditioner is something you're going to wish you didn't see," Katsuki said and Eijiro couldn't help but swallow with difficulty.

"It's that bad?" Eijiro asked and Katsuki scoffed. It was worse. Great. If she woke up in a bad mood, there was no way that he could make peace with her. He had faith in Aizawa's capabilities to keep her from attacking with her Quirk but it wasn't going to stop her aggression.

The said male walked down the hall towards the room of the girls, a vein palpitating out of his forehead. He could feel an unwanted headache start to form and let out a breath, his agitation growing.

He couldn't believe it. Mizuki was the class representative. She needed to be punctual and an example for the rest of the class. Iida and Momo were two of the first to arrive early before the rest, followed by her brother.

His thoughts were cut off as he arrived at the girls' room. He slid the door open with much force and little hesitation. The sound echoed through the empty hallway and the door of the girl but didn't disturb the peacefully sleeping girl as she lay on her futon.

Mizuki wore a peaceful expression as she slept without a care in the world, the scenery only making another vein palpitate out of Aizawa's skin. They were already starting to become behind with the program and here she was sleeping without a worry.

"Hey, Mizuki! Wake up! We're starting training and you're late!" He told the female and watched as she merely turned onto her other side in response. This kid… She didn't even listen to what he was saying!

"If you don't get out of that bed right now, I will drag you outside to train," Aizawa threatened and waited for a reaction, but didn't receive any. That's it. He was going to drag her out to train in her pyjamas.

He took one step into the room, a flurry of sparks and explosions making him jump back, eyes flashing as he activated his Quirk. His hair floated up, his capturing scarf floating alongside him as he watched Mizuki glare at him.

"Don't even think about it. I'll murder you," she said in a low tone and Aizawa's eyes narrowed onto her. She wasn't able to use her Quirk and still she emitted such a threatening aura. She was ready to pounce but so was he.

"You're late, get ready. Everyone's waiting for you outside. We can do this the easy way or the hard way," Aizawa said and watched as Mizuki frowned deeply. It was clear that she was still half-way asleep.

"No." His eye twitched and without another moment to spare, he shot out his scarf towards her. His eyes widened when she gracefully jumped away to dodge. She gave him a mocking smirk and instead of frowning, he grinned.

His scarf appeared in front of Mizuki and her eyes widened. She tried to use her Quirk but it was no use since it was erased. The scarf wrapped around her tightly. She growled and fell to the floor with one hand trying to grab something.

"No! Let me go!" Mizuki reached out towards her bed, eyes flashing in pain and despair. She clawed the wooden floor and gritted her teeth. "I won't let you take me! I won't lose!" She yelled out and tried to resist.

Aizawa scoffed and merely dragged the female along, amazed at how she was trying to stop herself by clawing the wooden floor. "It's over. You might as well stop struggling," He spoke and Mizuki growled.

"I won't lose!"

Five minutes later…

She was fuming, sparks appearing over her body, eyes glaring, mouth scowling and a dark aura surrounding her entire body. She wore her U.A. uniform with shorts and a sleeveless top, much to her dismay.

Her sleep was interrupted.

No one wanted to come near the livid female, everyone fearing the wrath that she could unleash. They had all seen her angry before and yet this felt like an entirely other level. She looked like she was about to commit a murder.

"Now that everyone's here, we can continue," Aizawa spoke up casually, not fazed by the female's demeanour. It was her own fault for not waking up accordingly. He only hoped that this wasn't a regular thing.

"So, Mizuki." Aizawa tossed a ball towards Mizuki, her hand snapping up to catch it swiftly. She glared at the ball, noting that it was the same one from the fitness test they did on the first day of school.

"Try throwing that." Mizuki looked up at the male. "Your previous record, from right after you started school, was 695 meters. Let's see how much you've improved," he said and Mizuki scoffed, walking forward. She was woken up for this ridiculous test?

"Oh, we're checking our progress since a lot has happened these past three months, huh?" Sero pointed out and then paled when Mizuki started to roll her shoulder. She was going to murder that ball.

"Maybe Mizuki-chan can throw it a kilometre or something now!" Mina pointed out with a big grin plastered on her face. Eijiro grinned as he looked at the back of Mizuki, her calmness going over in waves with her hidden anger.

"Do it, Mizuki!"

MIzuki heard Eijiro's call and a dark grin came onto her face. Her entire body started to heat up, her arm starting to emit steam. Heat. She needed heat. She needed to make sure to get maximum heat without causing the ball to explode or to overheat.

"Then… Here I go…" MIzuki's arm slowly turned a shade of glowing white as she pulled her arm back, crimson orbs blazing brightly. "GO TO HELL!" She roared and a large explosion erupted from her arm, the ball soaring through the sky. A strong backdraft made hair fly and dust was avoided by hands held up to cover eyes.

Go to hell?

"705.2 meters." Mizuki's face fell at the voice of Aizawa and everyone's eyes widened. It was much less than they thought it would be. How was that possible? She even used white explosion! Had she honestly not improved that much?

Katsuki was stunned as he stared at the number on the small device that Aizawa held. Mizuki barely improved? How? She incorporated and developed her white explosion. Even if she gave her all the ball only travelled a few meters further. Where did that leave him?

Shoto watched as MIzuki gritted her teeth and clenched her fist. She made the same expression as the one she wore after losing to Endeavor. She trained intensely only to get this type of anticlimactic result…

"It's been about three months since you started high school. Through various experiences you all have definitely improved. But that improvement has mainly been at the mental and technical levels, with some increase in stamina," Aizawa said, hands pocketed and Mizuki's brows knitted together.

"As you can see, your Quirks themselves have not improved that much. That's why we will work on improving your Quirks starting today." A Cheshire grin came onto his face and everyone felt a shiver run down their spines.

"It'll be so hard you'll feel like dying, but try not to actually die," Aizawa said, holding up a finger, Mizuki and Katsuki smirking at the thrill he caused. They could feel the excitement pump through their system.

"Sensei!" Iida called and raised a hand from behind, Mizuki raising an eyebrow at the male's shout. "How can just three people manage the Quirks of the entire class? More so if Class B joins us?" He had a valid point.

"That's why they're here," Aizawa stated and pointed to his right side using his thumb, his expression back to normal again. Everyone gave him a blank look at the empty space before four shadows appeared.

"That's right! The four of us are one!" A female exclaimed, her emerald hair and big, round, yellow eyes coming into view. Another newcomer also came forth, everyone paling at the muscular, brown haired male.

"Lock on with these sparkling gazes!"
"We've come to lend a paw and help!"
"Coming out of nowhere…"
"Stingingly cute and catlike!"

"Wild, Wild…Pussycats! The Full version!" They all exclaimed simultaneously and had Izuku nearly fainting in amazement. Mizuki, on the other hand, had an eye that was twitching as she stared at their pose.

"My Quirk is Search! I can know all the info about up to a hundred people by just looking at them! I can find out their location and weaknesses, too!" Ragdoll said, Mizuki blinking in surprise at the information.

She wore a yellow version of the Pussycats's hero costume and added pink marks on her cheeks to resemble whiskers as well as a pink circle around her right eye. She stood out the most with her hyper activeness far above the rest.

Tomoko Shiretoko
Hero Name: Ragdoll
Quirk: Search

"As you know, with my Earthflow, I can make perfect places for each person to train!" Pixie Bob said, a few students still feeling slightly sore from the beasts she created the day before. It seemed like maybe this time they wouldn't have to fight them again.

"And with my Telepath, I can give advice to multiple people at once!" Mandalay stated, with a big grin. Everyone was still posing the same as before, the male slowly turning his face, his costume in complete contrast with what he was wearing. It was killing Mizuki from the inside out.

Yawara Chatora
Hero name: Tiger
Quirk: Pilabody

"And my job is assault through punching and kicking," he spoke. There was a lot wrong with not only his costume but his job as well. The male had blank white eyes with black markings surrounding them and he sported a brown version of the Pussycats' costume.

"All the power types, come with me! Tiger's Bootcamp will begin now!" Tiger called out and Mizuki glanced at Izuku who paled. Izuku was going to have to train with him? The badly dressed, bulky male? He had all of her sympathy.

"Based on their track record and wide range of Quirks, these four are the most logical choice to train your Quirks in a short amount of time," Aizawa explained. The rest of you, we already have a training program for each and every one of you. You will follow it and become stronger to go beyond. Plus ultra," Aizawa stated.

"Yes sir!"

"He's really going all out for this camp, huh?" Eijiro spoke up, Mizuki smirking as she crossed her arms over her chest. She didn't expect less from their school. After all, they had to give birth to the best heroes in society.

"Mizuki." The ash blonde female glanced at Aizawa as he walked over towards her. "You're coming with me. I'll show you where you'll be training," he said. He then turned around and walked off with Mizuki needing to follow.

"Go get them, Mizuki!" Eijiro gave her a thumbs up and she chuckled at his enthusiasm. She appreciated the big, goofy grin on his face and how he motivated her. After all, he knew the reason behind her calling.

"Thanks, Red. Don't die on me, okay?" She said with a wink and he snickered. He shook his head and watched her walk off, behind Aizawa. He stared at her backside, determination washing over him. He needed to get stronger to protect.

"Hey, Kirishima." He glanced at Katsuki who eyed him with a small frown. Katsuki was about to ask him something but shook his head instead. "You better not slack off," he said and Eijiro watched as the male turned his back to walk off.

He wanted to say something else. He could see it in the pair of crimson eyes. He could see that this torn relationship was bothering the male. He pressed his lips together and made a fist. He had much work to do to not only become stronger but also help out his friend.

The forested area…

Mizuki glanced around, taking in the many trees and bushes all around her. If this was going to be her training spot, she was going to need to be careful. If she caused a fire, it would spell out trouble for everyone.

"Mizuki, your training isn't going to be any different from the rest," Aizawa said, breaking the silence. "You're still going to train your original Quirk. The only difference is that we're going to train your other Quirk simultaneously."

"Simultaneously? You're kidding, right?" His expression showed his seriousness. "I don't even know how to use the other one! Not to mention, I don't really know what it does either!" She pointed out and he stopped in his tracks.

"Don't worry about that! I'll be able to lend a paw to help!" Ragdoll popped out of nowhere and Mizuki blinked a few times before frowning. More people that know? She didn't know if she was irritated or grateful.

"Do you remember what I said my Quirk was?" Ragdoll asked and Mizuki grunted in reply, the pro hero still grinning. "Great! Eraser here asked to help out to see what the other Quirk is to see how we're going to train you!"

"Is that so…"

"We're not going to do anything without your permission, Mizuki. You have a choice if you want her to look or if you'd rather figure it out on your own," Aizawa said and watched as she looked down at her hands.

She recalled all the moments this peculiar Quirk activated and the trouble it caused, the people it affected. Not knowing about it only made everything worse. She didn't want to be in the dark anymore. She needed to know the truth.

"Let's do it," Mizuki said and made a fist. "I won't let this thing be a problem anymore. I want to know what it is and I want to make it my own." Aizawa watched as her eyes blazed and smirked in reply.

"I like your spirit! Let's see what we have!" Ragdoll exclaimed and them looked at Mizuki, not blinking even once. "Your Quirk Explosion lets you secrete nitro-glycerine all over your body. It also leads to the heating of your body to incredibly high temperatures. Too much secretion leads to overheating."

Mizuki was surprised at the accurate explanation and weakness that she pointed out by merely looking at her. She felt vulnerable, naked in front of the female's Quirk. It was almost frightening at how amazing her Quirk was.

Ragdoll then blinked twice and cocked her head to the side. "That's strange." Her words had the duo look at her in confusion. Ragdoll pointed at Mizuki and raised an eyebrow as she looked at the homeroom teacher.

"Her other Quirk isn't related to her other Quirk at all! It's not even in the same range!" Ragdoll stated and them looked at Mizuki. She had never seen something so strange before in her life and she had looked at a lot of people in her lifetime.

"Quirk: Reject. She can reject the Quirks inside someone's body by touch, causing them to not be able to use their Quirk. It can cause damage to both the user and the person affected depending on how strong it's activated. Over usage will cause her to reject her own Quirk and physical backlashes," Ragdoll explained.

Reject?

This was unexpected. He was aware of the resemblance with his and her Quirk but at the same time, it was different. He would merely erase the usage of the Quirk. Mizuki could reject the entire Quirk and cause damage.

"Is that all?"

Ragdoll cocked her head to the other side. "If she rejects too many Quirks simultaneously, it'll have dangerous repercussions on her body. The more she rejects, the bigger the result will be that she'll start to suffer the side effects," Ragdoll added.

Aizawa clicked his tongue as he looked at Mizuki. This Quirk was a double-edged sword. It could definitely be of much value in a battle but one wrong step and she was in trouble. It was going to be a nuisance to get under control.

"In other words, I'm screwed if I can't get this thing under control?" Mizuki asked the two pro heroes and then smirked, a trail of sweat falling down the side of her face. "I guess I have my work cut out for me, huh?"

Aizawa watched as confidence with a tinge of uncertainty gleamed in her eyes. She was worried and somehow, she was still grinning. He recalled the incident with the Nomu and how she would still stand even with all the odds stacked against her.

"Alright, we're still continuing with the plan," Aizawa said and Ragdoll grinned. "This is the perfect training area and no one will come near here. Mandalay will keep in touch with you as much as possible."

"And I'll be your opponent!" Pixie Bob popped up and Mizuki jumped slightly at the sudden appearance. She stared at the blonde and then gave Aizawa a perplexed expression. He wasn't going to train her?

"Your objective is to catch Pixie Bob and activate your Quirk on her. You're allowed to use your explosion to increase your advantage," Aizawa said and watched as Mizuki raised an eyebrow skeptically.

"Sounds easy enough."

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. You're quite arrogant, aren't you, meow?" Pixie Bob said, holding her index finger from side to side. "You won't be able to get me that easily. To train you to your maximum, you're going to have to reject my Quirk."

Mizuki's eyes widened when she heard a loud roar from the forest, a shadow crossing her eyes. The mud beasts from before! Wait a minute… She was going to fight them to get to Pixie Bob to activate her Quirk and get rid of them.

There was only one big problem with it all.

She didn't know how to activate her Quirk nor did she know how to control it! Even if she did manage to catch the pro hero, if she didn't use her Reject, then she still didn't win and Aizawa knew that very well.

She could feel a nervous smirk forming onto her lips. She felt it. She felt the difference between her and the pro hero. It didn't matter how confident she was, she learned her lesson with Endeavor a long time ago.

This is truly going to be hell, isn't it? if I do get to activate it and I overdo it, I'm screwed. If I don't activate it, I'm going to lose. Also, I'll be fighting against those beasts. If I overheat, then it's all over too. Aizawa Sensei is a real sly bastard. Mizuki thought and stepped into a stance.

"I'll be in your care then!" Mizuki exclaimed, sparks appearing all over her body and steam starting to form from her legs as she activated her flash step. She didn't have any time to lose. She needed to become stronger. She needed to gain control.

Aizawa turned and walked away, Ragdoll briefly glancing in between him and Mizuki before grinning.

Mizuki exploded straight towards Pixie Bob, a mischievous grin forming onto her lips as she jumped back. The teenager bounced on the ground and into the air. She jumped zigzagged, her speed increasing.

Reach maximum heat and then-

Crimson eyes widened when a flying creature appeared in front of her. She acted fast by kicking with her flash step, a white explosion erupting from her leg that was aimed at its head.

Unfortunately, the creature managed to dodge the fast attack, her eyes widening in disbelief. It predicted her move. It went to claw her, Mizuki using explosions from her feet to move sideways only to be hit by its tail. She caught sight of another shadow, a hand going to grab her.

She shot out her legs and let loose a large explosion towards the creature. She heard the cry as it crumbled and smirked. It was, however, short lived when her legs were grabbed and she was thrown into a tree trunk.

She coughed on impact, her wind knocked out. She glared at the other creature that emerged out of nowhere and then felt the hairs on the back of her head stand up. She dived forward as another beast came from behind, smashing through the tree.

She rolled onto the floor and stopped her moving body by digging her heels into the ground. Eyes snapped around to see the three creatures all looking at her. She was in trouble. This time, there was no one who would help her out of this situation.

Pixie Bob snickered and pointed at her. "I memorized all your movements yesterday since I knew that Eraser wanted me to train you. You won't be able to beat them as easily this time," Pixie Bob said and a shadow fell over the girl's face. A grin came onto Mizuki's face, sparks appearing all over her body.

"If it was easy, then it would've been boring!" Mizuki exclaimed, stepping into a stance and had Pixie Bob laugh. This girl…she was making her fur stand on end. Hopefully, she wouldn't tire out too early or it would be very disappointing.
