The Minecraft Story: The Beginning: Chapter 50
KILL KILL KILL! I MUST KILL! I CAN SMELL ALREADY SMELL THEM! I'LL HAVE THEM SOON! I'LL KILL THEM SOON!
The piglin could see the lights of Redwater quickly approaching. The setting sun cast a spotlight on the city. The piglin charged; eager to slaughter as many humans as possible. The only thing blocking its view was the mutant zombie.
THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD!
It spearheaded the piglins; ready to smash down the gates. The pigling looked to his left and saw hordes of his brothers ready to tear apart Redwater. To his right, more of his brothers. Behind him, was their lord, Herobrine.
The words of Herobrine played over and over in his head, "Kill every last person you see, let nobody survive."
I CAN'T WAIT! He thought. I WONDER HOW MANY I'LL KILL! TEN? TWENTY? THIRTY? I JUST CAN'T WAIT!
The piglin licked his sword as the walls of Redwater became larger with every step. The anticipation was driving all of them mad. Some began squealing with joy as they got closer. Swords were raised and their war cries could be heard for miles.
Suddenly, giant blasts of light began to cascade across the sky. There were so many different colors and for a moment, the piglins stopped. He had heard about these; they were called fireworks. They were just as amazing as the few piglins who saw them described. He looked down to where they were coming from, and he could see humans on top of the wall.
The humans waved their arms in the air wildly. They screamed at the top of their lungs at the piglins. It was almost as if they were mocking them. This enraged him and the other piglins who began to sprint even fast to the gate.
THOSE HUMANS THINK THEY CAN MOCK US? JUST WAIT UNTIL WE CHOP THEIR HEADS OFF! WE'RE ALMOST THERE! JUST A LITTLE FUR-
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Without warning, the ground exploded in a fiery ball that lit up the darkening valley. The piglin was thrown backward as many of his brothers were launched into the air. He could see body parts flying everywhere. Some piglins had been cut in half by the explosion. Some had nothing more than a finger remaining of them.
"GET UP!" Another piglin screamed, "DO NOT LET THESE HUMANS STOP US!"
The piglin grabbed his sword from the ground and got up. His legs were shaky and the entire front of his body was burned. However, it was nothing compared to his many years in the Nether. Suddenly, there was another sound. A small thumping sound. Then there were more. And they were getting closer. It appeared to be coming from his left.
He turned his head and saw a man in full diamond armor wearing a red cape. He had turned just in time to see the glowing golden sword chop his head off.
…
Good, the explosion worked! Marcus thought. I knew they wouldn't be able to resist running straight at us. It's a miracle we managed to bury that much TNT in the ground before sunset. But now, it's time to finish off the stragglers.
Marcus pushed the dirt from atop his head. He had been buried for two hours and his legs weren't in top shape, but he quickly adjusted and ran for the piglins.
It was almost a total encirclement of the piglins. They'd buried as many soldiers as they could in the short amount of time. They were surrounded on three sides. Unfortunately, the back of the piglins remained. However, Marcus was sure the piglins wouldn't try to retreat anyway.
As Marcus ran for his first piglin, he noticed the mutant zombie was down. At first, he was amazed they'd managed to take it out, but he quickly could tell it was fine.
The people who had been in charge of the detonation were told to prioritize taking out as many piglins as possible. With the mutant zombie being in the front and the most of the piglins being in the middle, they didn't get it as good as they wanted.
No matter. Marcus thought. That's why we have Notch out here. We just have to take out as many of the piglins and the mutant zombie before that creeper shows up.
Marcus quickly stabbed a piglin who had been trying to get up through the back. Suddenly, he saw a golden sword coming right for him and he ducked. He heard it scrap against the diamond armor, making a sickening screeching sound. He struck the piglin in the stomach. Its guts began to spill out.
However, as Marcus expected, it still tried to swing its sword. Marcus parried the strike and lodged his sword into the monsters throat. He kicked the piglin to the ground and continued looking for more.
Franz held his bow tightly as he picked off the piglins. He always aimed for the head, and he was always precise. One managed to sneak up on his right. He heard it squealing just in time to dodge its strike. The sword struck the dirt and became lodged in the ground. This was his chance.
Franz shot the piglin in the foot, causing to kneel down. It looked up at him with pure hatred. He could see it in the monsters eyes. It wanted nothing more than to skin him alive. It wanted to watch him slowly bleed to death. He couldn't stand to look into its eyes much longer, which is why he sent an arrow into both of them.
Notch prioritized killing the few hoglins that survived the blast. Most of the normal soldiers wouldn't stand a chance against the beasts. He spotted a knight being charged and shot at by the piglin that rode the hoglin. Notch threw one of his swords into the neck of the hoglin. It dropped instantly and sent the rider face first into the mud. It was barely able to lift its face before Notch stabbed it in the back of the head.
He retrieved his other sword as another hoglin began to charge. Notch did not flinch. He stood his ground and waited for the hoglin. Once it was close enough, he just over the massive creature and landed on its back. It tried to buck him off, but it was no use. He plunged the sword into the creature's head. Fire erupted from the skull as the tiny brain melted inside. Notch jumped off as the hoglin fell to its side.
As the hoglin let out its final breath, Notch couldn't help but feel bad for it. These creatures were made by my brother for the sole reason to kill. These things didn't ask for this. They were forced into servitude by Herobrine.
Suddenly, a voice snapped him out of it, "NOTCH!" He turned and saw Marcus across the battlefield.
Notch ran to him, "What is it?"
"The zombie is starting to get up!" Marcus said while pointing. He was right. It was slow, but the monster was getting up. "Now's your chance, kill it before it can get up."
"Right!" Notch replied and he began to sprint.
Stupid, I should've gone for the mutant zombie first. Notch thought. That was dumb, but I thought it had been taken out. The zombie was now on its knees. No matter, this will be easy, just take it down.
Notch sheathed one of his swords and leaped as high as he could. He clung to the sword with both hands and aimed for the neck of the beast. It was so close, once he dealt with the zombie, he'd quickly find and eliminate the mutant creeper. He could feel the fire aspect flow through his golden sword. Just one strong cut, and it would be over.
He didn't see the giant arm reach around and grab his legs until it was too late. Suddenly, Notch was being flung in the air and saw the ground getting clos-
SMASH!
It took a moment for Notch to realize what had happened. He had been grabbed by the mutant zombie and smashed face first into the ground. It was all he could process before being flung back again and the back of his body took the full force of the hard ground. And once again, he was flung back up and smashed again.
SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! SMASH!
Notch could feel the armor breaking with every hit. Pieces of diamond flew all around him. One piece of diamond got caught in his left eye and was lodged into the back of his eye socket when he was smashed face first into the ground again.
Wha…What's happening? Notch thought before the mutant zombie threw him as hard as it could. Everything moved in slow motion. The battlefield grew further away. The walls of Redwater flew under him. And a house got closer, until.
CRASH!
Glass shattered all around Notch. He was only conscious long enough to realize he had been thrown into someone's bedroom.
