Joe, Jon and Colby better known as The Shield were stood ring side waiting for their chance to work spots in the ring when a commotion in the stands drew their attention along with the other stars waiting their turn or warming up around the squared circle. It was five hours until show time so there shouldn't be any fans there yet.

It was a young woman with black hair but from the distance the three men couldn't see much more. The security guy had her by the arm and there was a lot of pulling and pushing going on. A sudden scream filled the arena as they watched her roll down the stairs, Colby was the first one up and over the barricade heading towards the woman trying to stop her rolling all the way to the bottom closely followed by the others. Colby finally managed to stop her fall one third of the way from the bottom. As she rolled onto her back with him supporting her he noticed her eyes were closed, a big cut across her head bleeding, a swollen lip that was also bleeding and her right arm was already bruising with a hand print there. Hunter pushed his way to the front followed by Dr Chris the WWE medic.

"Give me some room to work. What the hell happened? Who is she?" He asked the security guard that had walked down the steps after her. He was a local wrestler that just wanted his shot but was pumped full of steroids. "She claimed she had left something here last night and wanted to look for it but i mean come on. Look at her she's gotta be a ring rat." Chris looked up at him frowning. The woman in front of him had dark jeans on and a tank top, normally if women wanted to pick up the wrestlers they would wait until after the show when their blood was pumping and they normally wore a lot less clothing, not to mention the woman in front of him had no make up on which was a normal staple. "What was she looking for?" The guard laughed and puffed his chest out, not caring one bit about the woman. "A stuffed cat toy sir, but i saw straight through her." Hunter got the guy by the shirt and pushed him back. "Did you check the lost and found? There were kids here last night for the kick off show. Kids. Did she have a kid with her?" The guards face turned pale. Well there went his shot at getting signed. "I take that as a yes. Boy? Girl? Age? what were they Wearing?" Hunter being a father felt ice grip his heart.

"A girl, i don't know a dress or something, not very old, about three sir." Hunter spun around to face the super stars. "Spread out and find the little girl. Spread the word i want everyone looking for her and i want all doors locked so she can't get out. Bring her to my office when you find her. GO NOW!" The super stars scattered spreading out. Colby, Jon and Joe all looked at each other and ran up the stairs to where she was last seen starting their search there leaving the woman with Hunter and Chris.

"Jon you go check the loading docks, Colby you check the VIP boxes and ill start looking around the lobby." All three men nodded and headed in those directions. Joe was known as the power house of The Shield, Roman Reigns. He was also the only one with a wife and child. He came from a family who's life was all about wrestling. He was also the oldest and biggest in the group so tended to lead a lot of the time. At 6 ft 5 inches and at 280 lb he was very intimidating to look at but had a heart of gold. His hair was jet black curled on the ends with dark brown eyes. Tattoos running down his right arm, working its way onto his chest and back.

Colby who was the hyper younger one was full of energy and very much into his fitness. He was better known to fans as Seth Rollins the high flyer member. He still lived at home with his mum and brother as he spent most of his time traveling so he didn't see the need to spend money on rent or a mortgage. Wanting to save as much money as he could so when he did want to buy a property he could build his own dream house with a large amount of land. Seth was the shortest of the three men at 6 ft 1 in and weighed the least at 220lbs. Seth also had a tattoo down the middle of his back, the virtues in order on Rollin's back were Integrity, Respect, Courage, Honor, Compassion, Honesty and Loyalty. Something he tried to live by.

Jon was the rough edged "bad boy" type with a slight craziness to him in the eyes of the fans who cheered him on under the ring name Dean Ambrose. In reality he was a super private person who was rough around the edges but was super loyal to his brothers in The Shield. He had no family and refused to talk about his childhood. He lived in the only place that was as wild as he was. Las Vegas. Jon was 6 ft 4 inches tall and 225 lb with strawberry blond hair and piercing cold blue eyes. He has a small tattoo on his foot that only his friends had seen but they didn't know what the small tattoo was or meant as they never really got a good look at it.

Jon was looking between all the equipment trunks in the loading bays when he noticed a ribbon on the floor and heard sniffles. He crouched down and saw her sitting there her eyes wide in terror. She wore a little yellow dress and white shoes that were now covered in dust and dirt. Her hair in pig tails one with ribbon and the other without. Her cheeks were red and eyes were puffy from crying. Her hair was dark brown and her eyes were even brighter blue that his own. He reached his hand out for her to take but a bang from outside made her shuffle even further back into the tight space. He sat on the floor against the wall crossing his legs at the ankle. He had grown up in a harsh world knowing what fear was at a very young age. He felt almost a pull to protect the little girl from whatever was frightening her like he wished someone would have done for him.

"Hungry kid?" She kept staring at him. Jon had never been around children except for Joe's daughter Jojo but she was older than that little girl. He grabbed his phone sending a text to Joe telling him he had found the child and where she was. "Look, come on out. I can get you some chocolate. Kids like chocolate right? Besides i found your ribbon and you look kind of wonky with just one in." She sniffed again and shuffled towards him trying to reach for her ribbon but Jon kept moving it back and out of her reach. Even though she was still in the hiding spot he got a better look at her. The poor girl was terrified he noticed. Sounds of running foot steps echoed down the hall way scaring her back into the tiny space. Jon looked up seeing Hunter and his brothers. Joe was holding a stuffed cat toy, the reason that they had come back into the arena. "She's in here but scared to death. Joe you have a go man. Use that daddy charm."

"Hey sweetie, look what i found. I think he belongs to you right? Want to come out and introduce us? I can tie your ribbon back in your hair and then go for something to eat." He reached out for her only for her to push herself even further back and began to cry again. Joe stood up thinking about moving the trunks for them to get to her. Sure they were heavy but between all the guys there they could move them. As he began to move them the little girl screamed making Jon kneel back down on the floor to check that she was alright. What he didn't expect was her to crash into him holding onto his shirt and hiding her face in his shoulder. Jon looked down in panic not knowing what to do. "Jon pick her up and lets take her into the ring area while we wait for the police to come. The woman is being checked over but is still out at the moment, we are waiting for an ambulance." He smirked at the look on Jon's face. "Put your arm under her and she will hold on." As Jon did as instructed she held on tight to him and stood up. "We found your cat." She turned her head slightly to see Joe holding out he little cat toy. She took the cat and hid her face back into Jon's neck before mumbling something that sound like thank you.

Jon carried her back out to the ring thinking that if she was at the show the night before she might be a fan so seeing the ring may cheer her up. The diva's surrounded him cooing at the little girl making her cry. Jon realized she didn't like a lot of people around her and told them to back off. He sat her down on the apron of the ring and pulled away slightly to look at her closer. Colby headed towards them with some chocolate milk and cookies. "Come on kid. I promised you chocolate and i keep my word." She smiled at Colby for accepting the milk and small pack of cookies. "So how old are you?" She sipped the milk and offered some to Jon. He took the cup and pretended to drink out of it before giving it her back. She held up three fingers. "The lady you were with is she your sister? Auntie?" She shook her head before carefully putting the cup down. The woman looked young so he didn't think they were mother and daughter but the more he looked at this kid he could really see that they did look alike. "She your mum?" She nodded before looking down at the cat on her lap.

The police walked towards them but noticing the terror creeping back into the little girls eyes Joe and Colby blocked her view of the police officers who were talking to Hunter. Joe took a step closer and smiled. "Im Joe, this one is Colby and this is Jon. What's your name?" She looked at the three men before standing up on the ring side causing all three men to hold their arms out incase she fell off. She was looking towards the stairs where her mum fell, her eyes scanning the room as tears started to fall down her cheeks before crying into the cat toy upon not seeing her mum.

The police walked over explaining they would be taking her somewhere safe while waiting for her mother who had just left in the ambulance to wake up. When the police officer, a man in his late 50's tried to take her she let out a scream, silencing the whole area. She threw herself into Jon's arms wrapping her arms round his neck leaving her cat to dangle down his back and hid her face in his neck. She whispered so only Jon could hear. "No, i want to stay with you." He locked eyes with his brothers and Hunter.

It was agreed that the little girl could stay with Jon as every time they tried to take her away she would cry and scream to get back to him. A police officer was tasked with staying there too but in plain clothes not to scare her. Her mother was doing well in hospital and straight from the show all three brothers were going to take her to see her mother. Jon would never admit it to anyone but he did enjoy being the only one "kiddo" (as he had nicknamed her) would let near her without crying. She was warming up to Colby since he was feeding her sugar and to Joe since he let her brush his hair something Colby had taken a video to off to show the mother so she knew the little girl was take care off. She still hadn't spoken except the few words to Jon here and there like when she said she needed the toilet. That was interesting. Lucky for him she knew how to use the toilet by herself.

As their segment was coming up he noticed she was getting tired. He didn't know much about kids but he knew they usually went to be kind of early. "So kiddo, we have to go to work for a little bit so you can stay in here and have a sleep if you want?" She shook her head, tears threatening to roll down her cheeks again. "How about you sit with Hunter and watch us on TV behind the curtain? That way you will be the first to see us come back?" She nodded not wanting to go to sleep in a strange place. They had taken it in turns to get changed in the shower area of their dressing room something which they never normally cared about so they were already for the show. The little girl grabbed her cat and walked with The Shield through the hall ways each man looking down at her to make sure she didn't get lost. There were a group of super stars talking just before Gorilla position. "Kay!" The little voice startled them coming out of no where. She took of running before stopping at the group of men sat on chairs watching the show. Jon ran after her before crouching to her level. "Kiddo don't run off like that. Sorry guys." Glen who wrestled under the name Kane frowned at the little girl but to Jon's confusion she stuck her tongue out at him and giggled. He then winked at her before looking up at Jon and the rest of the group. "Wanna tell me why you are babysitting Elle?" Jon was confused if he knew the kiddo, Elle, then why was he still looking after he? Attention was brought back down to Elle when she took Jon's hand again and leaned her head on his leg.

"He's my friend Kay. Mummy got hurt and i got scared then Jon found me. Joe let me make his hair all pretty but he said he had to take it out to go to work and Colby got me milk and cookies!" Glen bent over in his chair. "What happened to your mummy?" He had known Elle her whole life and had a soft spot for the little girl. Not that he would tell anyone but he somewhat enjoyed playing dolls with her. She had an amazing imagination like most young children but was always super polite, which is why when it came time for Christmas he always spoiled her and her mother.

"The bad man pushed her down the stairs when we came back to look for Cat. I dropped him last night when we came to see you and Pops." Glen gritted his teeth before picking her up and sitting her on his arm. "I got it from here boys thank you. I'm going to take you to your Pops then we can check on your mummy after i've had a word with Mr Hunter." She turned to face Jon leaning over to him causing Glen to step forward a bit so she could reach him. She kissed his cheek. "Thank you for looking after me. Will you still come to see mummy?:" He looked at his brothers who were both nodding.

"Sure kiddo. Now we gotta go and kick butt." Jon winked at her before walking off towards the curtain. Joe smiled at her and Colby gave her a thumbs up which she gave him straight back.

Colby turned to face his brothers. "Ok, i'm going to say it. Jon that was so cute but i hope her mums ok and doesn't mind us going to see her after the match." Joe watched as Elle and Glen went out of sight to where Hunters office was. "We made a promise and as Jon said to her we don't ever break our word. Now head in the game guys. Lets go and Jon, Colby's right, that was super cute."

When each member had showered and changed after their match they packed their rental car and headed to the local hospital where Elle's mum was taken. They were shown to the room where Elle's mother was, Colby who was playing on his phone walking through the hospital came to an abrupt stop when his two brothers did however not expecting it he almost fell back onto the floor. "Hey what's the the muscle wall?" He stepped around his brothers and saw in front of him the man, the myth and the legend, The Undertaker Mark Calloway with a sleeping Elle in his arms as he rocked her back and forth. Upon spotting the three brothers Mark walked over to them lowering his voice so he didn't wake Elle up.

"She tried to stay awake for when you three came but she was too tired and just passed out. She couldn't stop talking about how pretty her new friend Joe was, how cool Colby was and how Jon is her new best friend. At first i thought she meant Cena but Glen told me it was you. Thank you for what you did today. All of you." He kissed the top of Elle's head when she moaned in her sleep. "Your welcome sir, she's a cute kid. I didn't know you had one as young as her." Colby replied smiling at his idol. Mark smirked. "Boy's she isn't my daughter, or granddaughter before you ask. Rory, her mother is my God daughter, although Elle does call me Pop's. I was the first one to hold each girl when they were born. Rory's mother died in child birth and her father was away fighting for our country so until he came back i took care of her and then i was there when Elle was born because Rory didn't tell anyone she was pregnant. She had just lost her father and scared to death she would die like her mother. Middle of a storm at my house no way of getting her to a hospital or getting help to us so i brought Elle into the world. Joe you will understand when i say this but, what we do in that ring is nothing compared to child birth. How women do it is beyond me." Joe let out a low chuckle remembering when his wife was having their daughter. He was over twice her size but her strength that day floored him.

"How is her mother? Rory right?" Jon asked his eyes watching Elle sleep. She was so peaceful

"She's hurt but not lasting damage thank god. What a first day huh?" Upon seeing the three men's confused looks. "She is the new press assistant, booking our interviews, taking us to them and doing damage control if needed. Today was meant to be her first day but she realized Elle lost her cat toy so came early to pick it up except the idiot guard who should count his lucky stars he is in jail at the moment wouldn't listen and started grabbing her. Anyway come and meet Rory, she was looking forward to meeting you after all that Elle had been telling us." He lead them through the door and into the hospital room to the young woman who they had last seen rolling down the steps and bleeding. Jon's heart stopped when he saw her. She was stunning even with the bruises and cuts.
