This fanfiction will be about ROOT anbu naruto. It won't include his missions nor his training. Maybe some flashbacks? But it'll mainly be about when Hiruzenfinds out late. Naruto will change drastically. Strong (not OP), Smart, and Emotionless? Idk how you like to call it but like the rest of the anbu. Except hewill be more broken since Danzo will be the one to personally take care of him. I was thinking about either giving him a pairing with Hinata or a harem.

The updates might be slow though since I got a life to look after and school. (I wrote this and I have exams in the next week lol) This chapter might be considered short for yall, but I'll try to make em longer over time. I just need motivation!
It's kinda obvious but just in case I need to say it, I don't own Naruto bla bla the real owner is Masashi Kishimoto. If I did I wouldn't be using this crappy pc nor would I upload a fanfiction now, would I?
Story Starts:~
The world is filled with humans of many kinds. Good or evil, each man and woman has a reason they were born for. One was born to lead a country, another was born to be a great doctor and save many lives, and someone was born to be a bounty hunter who kills people for living. As time passes, you either die young or live long enough to retirement. Hiruzen didn't get to enjoy that "retirement life" much, Since the fourth hokage, which he assigned the role to, has recently died. Therefore, he's back to the damn office and those damn papers. But this issue can wait for later. Right now we got another problem in hand.
The reason the fourth hokage is dead wasn't from sickness or old age. He died in battle with one of the strongest beings in the universe. A god-like being. A biju called "Kyubi". Even the fourth, who's considered one of the best ninjas the hidden leaf has ever had, couldn't kill it. Instead he sealed it the sacrifice had to be a human. A baby nontheless. And how could the hokage ask any stranger for his baby to use as an object to seal such being?
That's why he had to seal it into his just born son. He and his wife, Kushina, were expecting a child. Sadly, as soon as that child was born all chaos happened. Kushina was against that idea. After all she's a mother and she just gave birth. She couldn't let her husband do that to their child. But there was no other choice. Many casualities were happening fast. And they had to act fast as well.
Back to the problem at hand. Hiruzen is in the council meeting with the mentioned baby. The baby's name is Naruto Namikaze. Of course, he couldn't just let his family name be the same as his father's. As it would bring enemies from the past to hunt the boy. So he'd have to take his mother's clan name. Naruto Uzumaki. Yeah that sounds safer. The council members don't know that this is the son of Namikaze Minato, the said fourth hokage. The only people that knows so far are Hiruzen and Jiraiya, he suspected that the heir of the Hyuuga clan, Hiashi Hyuuga, knows. After all, he's one of Minato's closest friends, if not the closest. Forget about the name. The real problem right now is the council demanding the boy's head.
Before that they asked about the biju. Did it die? Did it escape? How come it just disappeard out of the blue? The soon-to-be-hokage-again had answered all their questions. Leaving out the boy's parents part. Instead he said the boy's parents were random civilians who also were killed by the biju. The first to ask for the child's death was Fugaku Uchiha, the heir to the Uchiha clan. Hiruzen obviously declined, saying that the fourth hokage wouldn't want them to kill a random child right after saving them and taking the burden of carrying such being in himself. The council went uproar. The only ones that seemed to agree with the ex-retired hokage are Shikaku Nara, Inoichi Yamanka, Chozu Akimichi, and Hiashi Hyuuga. each of them are heirs to their clans. Shibi Aburame might also count. But his unchanged expression is unreadable. Sometimes Hiruzen wonders if they actually are emotionless or perhaps just bad at expressing.
"SILENCE!" Hirzuen shouted. He was starting to get irritated. How come his people have such thoughts regarding a child? "This child should be considered a hero. He not only is gonna carry the burden of the Kyubi till the day he dies, But he'll also fight alongside the village in the near future and control it's powers to our favours!" He tried to reason with them. If sympathy and humanity wouldn't budge them, perhaps strength and advantages might?
"Lord Hokage, If I may." A random civilain talked. "How are we so sure that the seal won't break in the future? What if instead we killed it? This one death shouldn't be compared to the others that died fighting that demon."
"The seal won't break. Are you questioning Minato's skills? Even I, the best seals master, the legendary Sannin Jiraiya, can see that it's perfectly done." Jiraiya spoke up. Seems like he's also at his last straw. "And if it was that easy to kill a biju. Wouldn't the other villages have done the same once they sealed them into their human sacrifices? After all, a biju can't die. It'll just regenerate after a few years, and return looking for revenge."
"Those few years you're talking about could be a hundred or even a thousand years." Replied Fugaku. "By that time, we might as well do the same process. Seal it into someone and kill them. And it's not guaranteed that it'll remember us after all these years."
"I agree with Fugaku." Spoke Tsume. "As much as I hate killing an innocent child, the village comes first. And this is the most logical way we could do to finish this once and for all."
"I disagree."
Surprisingly, the one who spoke was no one other than Danzo. The hokage looked suspiciously towards Danzo. The said man has a questionable side when it comes to the village.
"Instead, we should use the boy as a weapon just like all the other hidden villages. Each one of them got a "Jinchuriki". Even the sand village's kazekage started using his own son for the village sake. This is an oppurtinity."
Yup. That's the questionable side. "No! The child will LIVE and he'll have a NORMAL childhood like he should. I won't let you lay your hands on him Danzo!" Hiruzen yelled again. He couldn't imagine Minato's son undergoing Danzo's harsh training.
Danzo kept staring at Hiruzen. Normally, he would try to argue with his past rival. But this time he just stared. Looks like Danzo is plotting something. And knowing him, it won't be pleasant.
"The meeting is called off. Whatever we discussed here today, which is the boy's identity as the Jinchuriki of the 9 tailed beast, should remain a secret. It'll be a S-Rank secret. Punishment would be death." The hokage said his last words before leaving. He didn't want to hear any more complaints. He could just hope that his last decision would help the boy on making friends. Since his secret won't be out, the children shouldn't be afraid of him. Right?
Everybody started leaving. Some were relieved, and the rest were annoyed. They can't do anything about it after all. Except for one man. Danzo stood still where he was the whole time. Eyes closed. It looks like he's thinking deeply about something. After ten minutes of his statue stance. He started moving back to his home. A plan running in his mind. It's risky, but it's worth it.
'Hiruzen. You're strong, but you're a fool. I'll show you what it means to have an unbeatable weapon. I'll make this village the strongest. Your foolishness and kindness won't make that happen. I'll step in instead. Watch your fourth hokage's son changing into a proper ninja soon in the future.' Thought Danzo. does he have something in mind? Is he planning to do something illegal just to prove his point? What does he mean by changing Naruto into a proper ninja?
