At their warehouse base of operations, Anne, her parents and Sonic had managed to recruit a team consisting of Ally, Jess, Dr Jan, Terri, Sprig's young blonde-haired human friend, Molly Jo, Hop Pop's actor friend, Humphrey Westwood, two of Anne's grandmothers from the Thai Temple, her cousins, Davika and Jason Sombun, and her aunt and uncle, Hana and Mani. They were all sitting by some wooden boxes as Anne and Sonic explained the situation about the Plantars getting captured by Mr X and his FBI forces.

"And now, the Plantars are being held by the FBI in a secret government compound." Anne said, looking down in sadness.

"All of you are the only ones we could think of with the skills, experience and crafty minds to pull off a jailbreak." Sonic told everyone, with a few of them being surprised by the fact they were discovering the Plantars were frog people for the first time.

"Wait, wait, wait. Back up. The Plantars are alien creatures from another world?" Ally questioned. "Just like Sonic?"

"We literally just explained that." Sonic replied.

"Frog-Man was a frog?" Molly Jo asked in disbelief before calming down. "Actually, that checks out."

"(I love frogs…especially with garlic.)" One of Anne's grandmothers said in Thai before both elderlies shared a laugh.

"Not a surprise to me. My family and I already knew about them being otherworldly frogs, along with Sonic's existence." Davika said, shrugging casually.

"Polly asked if I wanted to take over the world with her once." Jason said simply.

"That is not happening, young man." Hana told him with a frown.

"Yes. And we need your help to save them. But this is serious buisness." Anne warned in a serious tone. "If we get caught, we'll be in huge trouble with the feds."

"And they're most likely gonna want to dissect me and use my powers to create unstoppable weapons for corrupt government people to use." Sonic explained.

"Yeah, that too." Anne said. "So if anyone wants out, no hard feelings."

Thinking for just a few seconds, everyone made a unanimous choice. Ally and Jess smiled confidently at each other, Molly Jo shot a wink at Anne, Dr Jan and Terri nodded, Anne's grandmothers gave her a thumbs-up, and Davika and her family stood up supportively.

"Come on, cous. You know we're not turning our backs on you." Davika said.

"We're with ya to the end!" Humphrey said heroically.

"Wow. So dramatic." Molly Jo complimented.

"Thanks." Humphrey replied with a chuckle. "I'm an actor."

"If those frogs are friends of this family, then we'll do anything to help them out." Mani proclaimed before turning to his wife. "Don't you think so, Hana?"

Anne, her parents and Sonic waited intensely for an answer from Hana, Bee being very nervous since she still didn't like him and most likely wasn't over what happened at her house a few days ago.

"As a matter of fact…I do think so." Hana said with a slight smile, much to the Boonchuys' surprise. "Alien frogs aren't really my thing, but I can make an exception today. The same thing goes for the blue hedgehog that runs very fast."

"You heard her right, people. I'm very fast." Sonic snickered.

"And also, it's good that I'm getting a chance to work with my sister. Even you, Bee." Hana admitted, approaching her brokers-in-law.

"Wait, r-really?" Bee asked in total surprise.

"Yeah, I guess you're alright and my sis has a pretty nice life with you." Hana replied kindly. "What do you say? Shall we bury the hatchet?"

"Uh…sure. I'd love that." Bee answered, feeling very happy on the inside.

"I did not see this coming." Anne whispered to Sonic and her mother, who nodded in agreement.

"Okay, bring it in." Hana remarked before she and Bee shared a friendly embrace.

"Heh, this is really nice." Bee said with a laugh.

"Yeah. And if you get my family arrested, I will end you." Hana whispered in his ear, leaving Bee with a very uneasy expression.

"Dang it, mom." Davika muttered to herself, having heard her from the distance.

"Sweet. Now that we're all ready, let's put our Mission Impossible plan into motion." Sonic said with a determined smile.

"You said it, Sonic. Okay, here's the plan…" Anne began to explain to everyone, ready to set her jailbreak plan into motion.

(Linebreak)

"Step one, get into the compound by bringing them something they want." Anne explained.

The scene shifted to the secret FBI base, where Anne's grandmothers, Hana and Mani were approaching the main entrance with a glass box containing Humphrey, who was dressed as a frog. They also wore black suits to make themselves look like FBI members.

"We found another frog alien." Anne's first grandmother said to an agent guarding the entrance as Humphrey let out a croak.

"The boss is definitely gonna want to have this guy be put in interrogation like his other amphibian friends." Mani informed, putting on a stern look as the agent groaned.

"ID." The agent said.

"It's in here somewhere." Hana replied, reaching into her pocket.

Unknown to the agent, Molly Jo sneaked out from underneath the white cloth on the box and she made her way over to the gate cabin.

"Next, secure entry into the compound." Anne explained.

Molly Jo brought out a plastic panda doll and it shot out a red wire and blue wire from it's eyes, which then connected to the back of a computer. On the same roadside hill the Boonchuys and Sonic were on before, Ally and Jess were receiving the codes they needed on a computer from the Boonchuys' car.

"Oh yeah. We're in." Ally remarked, using the codes to make a fake ID for Hana.

"Done and done." Jess said on a walkie talkie.

Molly Jo quickly got back under the white cloth as Hana handed her fake ID to the agent, who swiped it against a scanner and allowed her, Mani and the grandmothers to walk in with Humphrey. On another side of the base, two agents were seen guarding a back door with no one else in sight.

"After that, we need our little blue devil to get some pesky FBI agents away from the back entrance." Anne continued.

Just then, a blue blur zoomed right past the two agents and they didn't even notice it, but they looked down and were very shocked to see their pants had been pulled down to reveal their underwear.

"Hey, who pulled down my pants?!" The first agent asked embarrassingly as both of them covered their private clothing pieces.

"My pants are pulled down, too!" The second agent exclaimed.

"We can't be in the public like this!" The first agent stated drastically.

"Run for it!" The second agent replied before they both ran away screaming.

With both agents gone, Sonic sped onto where one of them once stood with a very humorous smile on his face.

"Hahahah! Sonic, you are such a pranking genuineness!" Sonic quipped before he turned around to the metal fence. "Coast is clear, team!"

Anne, Bee, Oum, Davika, Jason, Dr Jan and Terri, who were all wearing agent uniforms, approached the fence and used some tools to make a hole that allowed them to enter. Anne held her hand in front of everyone to signal them to wait and she knocked on the door before Mani opened the door, gesturing them to enter. Everyone was then inside the base and they grouped up.

"Alright, everything is going really smoothly." Sonic said positively.

"And now, we find the Plantars and return these rental suits!" Anne stated.

Everyone began to cheer in response, until Oum and Davika shushed them and made them cheer more quietly.

"That's a lot better." Davika said.

The team started running down the base's halls in search of the Plantars, with Sonic taking the lead and searching through every single room he came across with his super speed.

"Nothing here. Nope. Empty. This room's clear. Totally empty." Sonic said, checking each room by the second. "Yeah, those government guys have hidden the Plantars well."

"Just search as fast as you can, Sonic. Don't wait on us." Anne told him, desperate to find the Plantars as quick as possible.

"Whatever you say, Frog Princess. Sonic is on the case." Sonic proclaimed confidently, immediately speeding away to a different hall.

The team continued to press ahead to search for the room the Plantars were being held in, but Dr Jan spotted something though the window of a nearby door and she quickly grabbed Terri to halt her.

"Wait, Terri. Check it out." Dr Jan said, pointing to a large generator outside.

"That could power the portal all on it's own." Terri suggested. "Should we grab it?"

"Oh, heck yes." Dr Jan replied eagerly.

"Did you two say you're stealing something?" A voice asked as the two women saw Jason standing near them. "I wanna help you steal government property, too."

"Okay, young man. Just make sure your parents don't find out." Terri told him.

"They won't." Jason said before all three of them walked out through the door.

Back with the rest of the team, they continued running through the halls before Anne stopped to see a door labeled 'Specimens A,B,C' nearby.

"This must be where the Plantars are." Anne proclaimed, approaching the door.

"Shouldn't we wait for Sonic?" Ally asked.

"He'll catch up. He's the fastest thing alive, after all." Anne assured before opening the door and entering the room.

Just as they were all in, Sonic showed up at the last second with his signature big smile.

"Hey, team, I just found where our frog amigos are! I ran up to this shady door and took a look in…" Sonic said before he calmed down when seeing his friends were gone. "Uh, where'd everybody go?"

In the specimens room, Anne and the team were looking around as there wasn't a single light on in the room. But then, they all saw a glass tank standing on a wooden table and they approached it, seeing a the shadowy figure of Hop Pop in it.

"Hop Pop?" Anne asked.

But when they turned on a light, it was revealed that inside the tank were some normal frogs that let out some ribbit noises.

"What the…?" Anne questioned in bewilderment.

"Uh, guys? I think this is a-" Davika started to say.

Before she could finish her sentence, the door behind them was immediately closed and the group turned around in shock to see Mr X and a pair of agents trapping them.

"Trap." Davika finished with a deadpan expression, while Mr X laughed smugly.

"Payback stings, doesn't it?" Mr X asked with a smirk.

From outside the room, Sonic could see the trouble his friends had gotten into and kept low to avoid being seen.

"Oh, this is not good." Sonic muttered in worridness, quickly speeding away .

(Linebreak)

Anne, her family and her friends were later locked up in cells with Mr X standing victoriously in front of them.

"I knew this would happen." Hana muttered.

"What have you done with the Plantars?! Give them back!" Anne demanded to Mr X.

"Hehe, the Plantars, eh? Sorry, honey, but they're government property now." Mr X replied, doing a fist bump with one of his agents. "And things would be so much better if I'd caught whatever it was that made that huge power outage a few days ago."

"If he only knew." Davika whispered.

"You can't do this! We have rights!" Anne stated angrily.

"I can do whatever I want. I'm a highly specialised top federal agent." Mr X proclaimed with a smug smile. "And you? Ha, you'rrrrrrrrr…"

But then, everything started to slow down immensely as the door to the cell room opened up after a few seconds, showing Sonic using his super speed to get himself straight in without being spotted. The blue hedgehog looked around the room as he spotted all his friends in cells and Mr X too busy taunting Anne, causing him to sigh calmly.

"Okay, here we go." Sonic said to himself, cracking his fingers.

First up, he sped up to the two guards near the entrance and he instantly sped out of the base with them, arriving at a very far away area and making them stand in the open before zooming straight back to where he was. Next up, Sonic casually approached Mr X and he took a key card out of his pocket, which he knew was the literal key to freeing his friends. Sonic zoomed by all three cells and used the key card to swipe at the electric locks, opening them all up with ease before escorting his friends out as they were as still as statues. When he got everyone out, Sonic turned his attention to Mr X and put on a sly smile, rushing towards the federal agent and moving him into the second cell before closing it with X inside.

"Aaaaaand…scene." Sonic said professionally before everything returned to normal speed around him.

Once everything was moving normal, Anne and everyone else became very surprised to see they were out of the cells.

"What the-What just happened?!" Anne asked in shock.

"We're out!" Davika exclaimed.

"B-B-But how did that even happen?!" Molly Jo questioned.

"I don't have any idea!" Mani stated.

"Hey! What is this?!" Mr X demanded, angrily marching up to the cell bars and tugging on them. "Who just put me in here and let all of you out?!"

"Right here, buddy." Sonic answered with a sly smile, making everyone notice him.

"Sonic! I knew you'd come!" Anne remarked, smiling gratefully.

"(That little hedgehog really is fast)" Anne's grandmother said in an impressed tone.

"Wait a minute…you're the creature that caused the blackout incident!" Mr X realised, glaring straight at Sonic.

"Guilty as charged. I just thought I'd stop by and make it clear that I don't appreciate people locking up my friends." Sonic replied.

"Oh, just you wait, fuzz-ball! I'll get out of this and you'll be joining those frogs in secure imprisonment!" Mr X stated. "And the rest of you are still gonna be arrested!"

"Not anytime soon, jerk. You know, I have just the perfect nickname for you." Sonic said with a smirk before he pulled out a red marker pen. "Everyone wanna see it?"

Anne, her parents and the others spoke out positive words to confirm they all wanted to see Sonic's nickname for Mr X. The blue hedgehog speedily drew on Mr X's forehead and when he was done, the federal agent saw the word he wrote was 'Baldy Lip-Paint'.

"Hey! That's not funny!" Mr X said angrily as everyone began to laugh.

"That is very funny." Oum snickered.

"I'm totally putting that in my photo album!" Jess announced before she took a photo with her phone.

"Save one for me!" Ally replied.

"Alright, let's all stop wasting time and leave this place." Hana said impatiently.

"I'm with you there, mom." Davika agreed.

"Hold on! I didn't even finish what I was saying to that Anne girl!" Mr X protested. "I was saying she's just a child an-"

But then, Sonic made the federal agent stop talking by punching him straight in the face and making him fall back unconsciously.

"Two words for you, Baldy Lip-Paint. Shut up." Sonic said with a glare.

"Nice one, Sonic." Molly Jo complemented.

However, nobody seemed to notice that Anne gained an upset expression from hearing Mr X's words.

"Okay then, now can we go and find those frogs?" Hana questioned.

"Actually, Sonic, can you and I have a little chitchat alone?" Anne asked, awkwardly rubbing her arm.

"I don't see why not." Sonic shrugged as the two of them walked into the back cell.

"What do you think's on her mind, right now?" Bee asked in a quiet tone.

"How should any of us know?" Mani questioned rhetorically.

"It's obviously something personal." Davika said.

Once they were alone in the cell, Sonic slightly closed the entrance so no one could intrude on them and he turned towards Anne.

"Okay, Anne, tell your second best buddy what's on your mind." Sonic said, looking at the sad look on Anne's face. "Judging from that expression, it's something not good."

"It's just…what Mr X said about me being a kid was right. But, I also wouldn't be able to get this far without mom or dad. And I definitely wouldn't be able to get us out of prison without you being here." Anne explained in self-doubt, sitting on the floor. "I used to think I was capable of doing things on my own, but now…I don't think I can. Not even when I get back to Amphibia."

Sonic could only stare at his human friend in sympathy as Anne had tears threatening to come out of her eyes. The blue hedgehog approached Anne and he sat down next to her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Come on, that's not the Frog Princess I've been secretly living with for years. You're usually dead-set on doing the extreme, having fun in your own crazy way and you've done a lot of cool things on your own. Sprig told me a lot about what you've done in his world." Sonic admitted with a smile.

"H-he did?" Anne asked surprisingly.

"Yeah. You stopped some toads from executing Geezer Toad, you took down some taxers to keep some townsfolk from being harassed by them, beat the living daylights out of that newt king, and you even helped me get my rings back and sent Eggman to a place where we'll never see him again." Sonic explained. "You're super cool in so many ways, just like me. Who says you won't be able to do things on your own without me or your parents? Besides, I'll be with you every step of the way. You don't need to worry about anything, Anne."

Taking in his encouraging words, Anne stayed silent for a little bit and then wiped away her tears before smiling kindly at Sonic, pulling him into a tight hug.

"Thanks, Sonic. You always know how to brighten the mood." Anne said in gratefulness.

"It's just one of my amazing talents." Sonic quipped, while neither of them noticed Bee and Oum smiling at them from nearby after hearing everything.

Suddenly, all the lights in the prison room shut off and everyone noticed this.

"Okay, this place has a very bad electric bill." Sonic commented.

"What's happening?" Anne asked.

Sonic rushed into the cell next to Mr X's and she looked out the window, seeing Dr Jan and Terri carrying the generator away with Jason in tow.

"Generator! Generator! Generator!" Dr Jan and Terri said repeatedly.

"Stealing is so much fun!" Jason shouted.

"Huh, looks like the rest of the gang just stole the generator. Really smart move." Sonic said with an impressed smile.

"I was wondering where Jason was." Davika muttered, rolling her eyes in annoyance.

"In that case, we should go before the government guy wakes up and finds out there's no power to his cell." Mani told everyone.

"Not yet, Uncle Mani. There's still a bunch of other guards outside." Anne replied, walking up to the exit. "I might be able to take care of them."

"Nah, you need to save up your energy. I've got this." Sonic said assuringly before he opened the door and zoomed right out.

"Sonic, no!" Anne called.

Everyone could hear a skirmish on the other side as they listened carefully, hearing Sonic's speeding noise as well as some punches.

"Hey, what's that thing?!" A guard's voice questioned.

"I think it's a mouse?! Or a spiky mole?!" Another guard suggested frantically.

"Hey, I'm neither of those, jerk!" Sonic stated as it sounded like he knocked out both guards.

"Somebody grab it!" A guard cried out.

"It's too fast!" Another guard replied in frustration.

"OOOWWW! Not in my undercarriage!" A guard yelled painfully.

After a few short seconds, everything went quiet and Anne slowly opened the door to see Sonic standing victoriously against some agents that were laying on the floor and groaning in pain.

"Okay, now you're just showing off." Anne said with a blank frown.

"What're you gonna do about it? I like things done fast." Sonic replied slyly. "Now, let's go save ourselves some frogs."

Sonic sped right ahead, causing everyone else to quickly follow him.

"I'm starting to hate that speed thing of his." Ally muttered, getting a bit tired.

"It's just what he does." Oum replied.

(Linebreak)

With the Plantars in their interrogation room, a lone hazmat worker was seen guarding them before all the lights turned off.

"Huh, I wonder what's going on? Mr X should've been here by now." The hazmat worker said while scratching his head in confusion. "What's he doing, right now?"

"Okay, guys, this is our chance to escape." Sprig said before he attempted to break out of his chair bonds, but had no success.

"Don't hurt yourself, Sprig." Polly replied blankly, hanging upside down.

"Excuse me?" A familiar voice asked nearby.

The Plantars and the hazmat worker looked to their side and they saw Sonic leaning against the wall with a casual smile.

"I'm supposed to be on a tour around this place and lost my guide. Do you know where I can find another one?" Sonic asked jokingly.

"Sonic!" The Plantars cheered.

"Hey! What's a giant talking animal like you doing in here?!" The hazmat worker asked with a glare, charging at Sonic to grab him.

Unfortunately for him, Sonic jumped straight up with his speed and spin-dashed onto the hazmat worker's head, making him a bit wobbly before he collapsed onto the floor.

"Easy peasy, lemon squeezy." Sonic remarked, turning around to face the Plantars. "Your saviours are here, frog fam."

"Saviours?" Polly repeated.

Just then, Anne dropped down from the vent shaft and successfully landed on the floor.

"What up, fam?" Anne greeted with a smile.

"Anne!" The Plantars said in happiness.

Anne freed Sprig, Polly and Hop Pop from their chair restraints and Sonic rushed over to a cage containing Frobo, opening it up and allowing the bodiless robot to drive out.

"Boy, are we glad to see you two." Sprig admitted in relief, very glad to see his two best friends.

"Sorry we kept ya waiting. Things got a little difficult." Sonic said.

"Are you guys okay?" Anne asked.

"Mostly. My dignity is admittedly in shambles." Hop Pop admitted, looking down at his underwear.

"So, what's the plan on getting outta here?" Polly questioned as she jumped on Anne's shoulder.

"First of all, we might wanna step back." Sonic replied as he took a few steps backwards.

"Why-" Sprig was interrupted when the wall was suddenly busted down, revealing an FBI truck reversing in with the generator roped on the hood. The back door of the truck opened up and revealed Oum, Bee and the rest of the team inside.

"Surprise!" Oum greeted.

"Good to see you, frogs!" Davika added.

"Hey, need a ride?" Terri asked with a grin.

The Plantars let out happy responses and they quickly got into the truck with Anne and Sonic in tow. The frog family was very excited to see some old friends of theirs.

"Molly Jo?!" Sprig asked, smiling at human friend he made while masquerading as a hero.

"What up, Frog Man." Molly Jo replied before the two of them shared a high-five.

"Humphrey, you helped save us?" Hop Pop asked gratefully.

"What can I say? Us actors have to stick together!" Humphrey proclaimed.

"Ally?! Jess?!" Polly questioned in happiness, jumping into Jess' arms as Frobo drove up to them.

"You fixed Frobo!" Jess remarked, only for the robotic head to spew up some oil and DVDs.

"Sorta." Ally admitted.

"It's all a very good reunion, but we should definitely start escaping before Baldy Lip-Paint shows up." Sonic advised.

"Baldy Lip-Paint?" Sprig repeated.

"It's just a nickname Sonic thought of for Mr X." Anne replied.

"Alright, buckle up!" Dr Jan said before she started the truck's engines and driving ahead at full speed, creating another big hole in the wall. "I love doing that!"

"We're on our way home, people!" Sonic cheered, not knowing that they weren't completely in the clear yet.

Next, Anne, Sonic and the Plantars spend their last moments on Earth before going to Amphibia
