This is the Finale of the Labor Day Special. Last time, things appeared to be going well. Spyro, Cynder, and the Midnight Sons made their way back to The Abbey after seemingly burying Malefor, but that's when things went wrong. Malefor and Fallen Hulk had survived the cave in on Mount Wundagore, and even worse, had managed to complete the Darkhold, with Malefor calling upon Chthon's power. And now everything is starting to go wrong. Just how wrong? Read on to discover...

(Our scene opens up in The Abbey's main room, where a good chunk of the team is watching a news report detailing what Malefor is up to on Mount Wundagore.)

News Reporter: The mysterious structure, which has been described as some sort of ancient temple, has suddenly appeared in the war-torn Republic of Transia, decimating a remote village at the base of Mount Wundagore.

Spider-Man: I hope Aunt May isn't watching this, because she's going to flip.

Ghost Rider: We tried to stop it, but...

Magik: You can say it, Robbie. We screwed up.

News Reporter: (Continuing) These images, taken by a tourist, have been reposted over two million times on every social media outlet with the hashtag "Apocalypse Wow".

Wolverine: Doesn't matter who screwed up honestly, the big picture is we're screwed.

Blade: This is the endgame now.

(Not even knowing how to react, Cynder just up and walks out of the common room and sooner than you can say anything she's in her chambers, asleep. But as she sleeps, she encounters a familiar face in her dreams: Ignitus)

Ignitus: I can tell you have a lot of questions...

Cynder: Why didn't you tell me Malefor was my father?

Ignitus: I meant no harm in excluding this information...

Cynder: That's exactly what Professor X said to Jean right before she became Dark Phoenix.

Ignitus: I only failed to tell you because I myself was unaware, at first.

Cynder: (Unsure if she buys it) You... didn't know? And what do you mean at first?

Ignitus: I only discovered Malefor was your father during the three years you and Spyro were missing. And by the time you came back, there was never a good time to tell you. Had I survived, I would have told you, I swear.

Cynder: But you feared something would happen if you told me during the war.

Ignitus: (Sighs) Honestly, yes.

Cynder: (Thinking about it) I don't like it, but there's still a point to it at least. I still wish I'd been told sooner.

Ignitus: And for that, you have my apologies. But being completely honest, this isn't the reason I called you here. Someone wanted to speak with you.

Cynder: If it's The Hunter, just tell them I'm sorry about their mother.

Ignitus: Speak of the devil...

(And with that, Lilith steps into the scene)

Lilith: And she shall appear.

Cynder: (Now springing to the defensive) How did you get in here?!

Lilith: Please, child, we haven't much time. I need to tell you something. There's only one way you can stop this madness.

Cynder: (Now somewhat curious) That being?

Lilith: I don't know all the details for certain, Malefor is blocking some of my memories in that regard, but I know Agatha holds the key.

Cynder: Agatha Harkness? (Thinks about it) Right, you knew her. But wait, why would you help me?

Lilith: Malefor whispered honey and lies in my ears from the moment we were merged. Only now do I see he was using me. I know you have no reason to trust me, but if Malefor is to be stopped...

Cynder: I'm going to stop you right there. I've had stranger metaphorical bedfellows. I'll look into this.

Lilith: Thank you, child.

Ignitus: Now I do believe it's time for you to wake...

(And as Cynder wakes up, our scene ends for today)

This concludes the Labor Day Special. So, a lot of information being dumped here, as well as a cryptic hint that Agatha holds the key. But... what exactly does that mean? Agatha Harkness has barely been involved in this as of yet. And furthermore, can Lilith be trusted? Or is this some kind of scheme by the Mother of Demons? And there's no sign of The Hunter to either confirm or deny this seeming change of heart. A lot of new information going into the endgame of the story. But one thing seems certain, Agatha Harkness apparently has held the key to beating Malefor all along. But what exactly is that key? Tune in next time to, hopefully, start figuring this madness out. Same time... same channel!
