Welcome back to Ashes of Midnight. Last time, the team gathered to discuss the state of things. They know Fallen Hulk isn't going to let them near Malefor or the newly formed Temple of Chthon on Mount Wundagore any time soon. Iron Man suggests another plan that would have been destined for failure anyways, when Agatha Harkness makes herself known to the rest of the team, freaking Stark out slightly. She reveals the key will be Scarlet Witch, the most powerful magic user on the planet. And with backup from Spyro and Cynder, users of Aether, it'll be enough. In short, it's time for Wanda to go home. But will it be enough? Read on to hopefully start discovering...

(Our scene opens up on Mount Wundagore, where Cynder, Spyro, and Scarlet Witch have just arrived via Limbo portal, and Scarlet Witch is getting a pep talk from Agatha Harkness, steadying herself for something.)

Agatha Harkness: (In Scarlet Witch's mind) All those years of training, the time you've spent trying to control your powers. Hour after hour, trying to reign in the chaos magic. Well dear, I think you're finally ready to...

(At this point, Scarlet Witch opens her eyes and unleashes the raw fury of her Chaos Magic)

Scarlet Witch: (Finishing Agatha Harkness' thought) SCREW IT ALL AND LET GO!

(Finally letting herself be free from worry, Scarlet Witch charges straight at Mount Wundagore, and right into Fallen Hulk as a matter of fact, tackling him into the side of the mountain just as Spyro and Cynder arrive. The dust settles for a few seconds, and when it does, Spyro is astonished by what he sees, and Cynder's just straight up proud of it)

Spyro: Impossible!

Cynder: But true.

(And now we see exactly what it is they see: Scarlet Witch has Fallen Hulk completely bound in Chaos Magic, holding him up by his legs, standing triumphantly at defeating the not so jolly green giant)

Cynder: You go, Wanda!

Agatha Harkness: (In Scarlet Witch's mind, somewhat jokingly) You know I dislike that language.

(But the moment of victory doesn't last long, as the door to the Temple of Chthon opens, and Malefor steps out of the doorway)

Agatha Harkness: (In Scarlet Witch's mind) And that's exactly why.

(The appearance of Malefor takes Scarlet Witch by surprise, giving Fallen Hulk enough time to knock her back towards the Dark Master, regain his footing and prepare to attack while Spyro and Cynder prepare for action)

Malefor: (Seeing Scarlet Witch at his feet) Daughter of Transia, finally home. I will give you this offer, surrender your pain to me, and I will make you whole again.

Scarlet Witch: My... pain? That's what you want?

Malefor: More or less.

Scarlet Witch: (As her eyes glow with Chaos Magic again) THEN YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL!

(And sure enough, Scarlet Witch unleashes a massive blast of energy, knocking Malefor back into the Temple, while we focus on Spyro and Cynder against Fallen Hulk, where blasting Malefor seems to have made the flame on his head go out while Scarlet Witch rejoins the dragons.)

Fallen Hulk: Huh?

Cynder: It's now or never!

(It's pretty clear what this means, the flame was the source of Fallen Hulk's invulnerability. And now that it's gone, nullified by Scarlet Witch's Chaos Magic, he's vulnerable to damage, and above all, defeat. The battle rages on for a few moments, but then, as Fallen Hulk is down and bound by Scarlet Witch's enchantments, Malefor's voice rings out across the scene)

Malefor: IGINIRE!

Fallen Hulk: Now... you've... made... me... MAD!

(At this point, the flame over Fallen Hulk's head returns, and Scarlet Witch's Chaos Magic has little effect, even when amplified by Spyro's Aether. Cynder realizes there's no time like the present)

Cynder: Forgive my language Agatha, but SCREW IT!

(In this moment, Cynder leaps onto Fallen Hulk's back, and digs her claws into his head before reciting a familiar spell)

Cynder: EGO SUM TENEBRIS, ET VENIUNT IN DOMUM SUAM IUBET DOMINUS!

(Fallen Hulk continues to struggle, but Cynder persists none-the-less, despite the cracks forming in the Hunter's Collar)

Cynder: EGO SUM TENEBRIS, DOMUN DOMINI PRAECEPTA YOIR!

(Now it's clear what Cynder is doing, she's drawing the darkness out of Fallen Hulk, and for a moment it seems to calm him down, which throws Cynder across the floor)

Agatha Harkness: (In Cynder's mind) This is why Sara has such high blood pressure.

(At this point, Scarlet Witch and Spyro rush to Cynder's side, helping her up)

Scarlet Witch: Are you sure your okay?

Cynder: I will be. (Looks over to where Fallen Hulk was) Especially since it worked.

(And sure enough it has, Fallen Hulk is no more, and in his place lays Bruce Banner, finally free of evil's influence an somehow still clothed in at least his boxer shorts.)

Scarlet Witch: Let's just hope we can say the same for him.

(And with that, Spyro puts Bruce Banner on his back and the trio depart, ending our scene for today)

And that looks like a good place to end for now. Well, the last of the Fallen is down for the count! Well, presumably, we don't know for sure what happened to Venom and Sabretooth's status as a Fallen is unclear as of now, but we'll just count this as the last of them gone. And now, only Malefor remains. But first, I'm sure there's a reunion waiting to happen now that Bruce Banner is back. So be sure to tune in next time for that! Same time... same channel!
