Chapter 11

Return

Or

Some Shit Happens

(Ōkami Mikoto POV)

Going home after the happy farewell was sad. The pink hair girl looked empty almost, the Uchiha was next to her, looking worriedly. Taka was sitting on Raiura-sama's shoulder since he couldn't fly. Akamaru-san couldn't walk still and was sitting on top of the Inuzuka boy's head. The Aburame and the nice Hyūga girl were walking normally, since Shino only had scars on his hands and the Hyūga was guarding the bridge builder guys home. The red eyed sensei and the Hatake were okay, they were off killing Gato so they didn't have that many injuries.

Entering the village, the Hatake signed us all in and before we could do anything, we had to report to the old monkey. After giving the report, he looked at us all with sad eyes and it made me want to growl, but Raiura-sama shook her head and I stood down. He ordered the pink haired child and the group from Team 8 for therapy since Raiura-sama wuld take therapy if she really needed it, the Uchiha had the older one that had a very potent smell of crows, so he would take him even if he really didn't need it.

After being given pieces of papers that had their therapy session times, the group nodded and Team 8 left to their separate homes while Kakashi said they were free to do whatever they wanted. Raiura-sama and the Uchiha decided to take the pink haired girl home before heading home themselves. I'm not going to do exact dialogue right now okay ningen, or whatever you may be. Raiura-sama had the piece of paper to the pink girls mother, and I think she wanted to say something, but me growling at her stop anything from coming out of her mouth.

I don't know why but Raiura-sama said she will come back with some home made herbal tea packets that work wonders. The blonde woman, who was apparently the pink haired girls mother, just nodded and gently closed the door. Raiura-sama and the Uchiha split up when they got to the clans district, bidding each other goodbye before heading to their separate homes.

(Raiura POV)

As I walked into my compound (the enterance is at the end of the clan district), I brightened up, I was going to see Ryūsei again after a whole month. I walked through the empty streets when a red blur came towards me and crashed into me. I looked up since the force had made me fall backwards, my sochi soaking my zipped up regular sleeved traditional navy blue jacket, he rubbed is face into my chest, reattempting to mask my nt all over him again, like a mother wolf would do for her pups. I it up and rubbed up and down his back until his tears turned into hiccups.

"Shh, I'm home Ryū-chan..." I whispered in his ear.

"Kā-chan..." he snuggled his face into my neck as I picked him up, I sensed some chakra signatures that I guessed were the genin team taking care of Ryūsei this week. They had their weapons out to attack when the jōnin sensei told them to stand down.

"Uzumaki-sama you cam home a day later than expected..." said the man.

The man had skin that wasn't porcelain but was a similar shade to it. He was big, but not too big, the muscle was there, but there wasn't too much. He had a red bandana that had a metal plate, of which in the center had the Konha symbol. He had scar going obliquely down his left eye and and big cornflower blue eyes but I think they leaned more towards purple instead of blue. He wore the standard Konoha jōnin outfit with the only difference being he had two coin grey arm guards.

I shook my head and smiled, "It's Uzumaki-san or Raiura-san, Shinobi-san, and its not always expected to met the exact deadline in our line of work.

He smiled back, "True," he held a hand out, "Ōkoshima Hisato, and one day you will be clan head, so you should get used to it."

"Phff, this kid? She's like what, 5'2?" said one of the genin.

The kid was slightly taller than Sasuke; he had a short sleeved mesh armor shirt with an animal skin coat that matched a similar length and design as of that of Shikaku-san'a. He wore baggy black pants with plenty of pockets, tucked into big grey-black boots. He had a egg shaped face, with rouge piink eyes and buttermilk blond hair.

"The Yondaime Mizukage is 5'4 and he can still kick your ass. Just because I'm short doesn't mean I'm weak..." I said.

The genin was about to say something to me when the only girl on the team punched him on the head, "Shut up Kaito, your being mean to Uzumaki-san," she then looked over to me with a kind smile, "We should get going."

"Hmm Yes..." agreed the Hisato.

I nodded, "Head back to the mission hallway, the Hokage should be there still, and he will hand you payment." We all bowed to each other before they all left the compound, I stood there for a few moments to make sure they were far away enough before heading home.

(Kiri, Eisaku's Funeral, 3rd POV)

Yagura gave the funeral that Eisaku had signed that he want. There in Kiri, you can choose to be buried on the island, have your ashes thrown into the water, or your body can be taken to be layed to rest underwater. Eisaku wanted to be layed to rest underwater on the left side of the island. His parents sobbed for the whole time, his genin team shedded tears too, which Yagura thought, proved that even if you graduated from the academy here, your emotions never becme erased; his sensei, Zabuza, just had his head lowered and gave a silent prayer to Kami and Suijin, the goddess of the water and a kami that was worshipped by the majority of the village.

After the funeral, Yagura entered his home. It was small and quaint, just like he liked it, except it went up, like every other building on the island, to three stories. He placed his blue and white Mizukage hat on his dark oak polished dining table. He sighed. He didn't like losing shinobi, especially genin, he felt as though it was his fault for sending them to their deaths, even when Utakata, and sometimes Raiura, would tell him that it wasn't his fault, he could have predictied what was going to happen.

He walked up the stairs to the second floor and entered his study. The walls were lined with shelves full of books and scrolls, and in the center towards the window at the end of the room, was a brown desk. He sat down on the chair behind the desk and opened the storage scroll on his wrist. The communication scroll that Raiura had given him pouffed out and he unfurled it. He took a quill that had a fake feather on it and started to write to her. He didn't expect for her to immediately respond.

"Hey," she wrote, "How have you been? How was the funeral?"

"I am well. The funeral was a good service for a genin the would have an excellent shinobi one day," he answered.

After a little while, she wrote back to him, "You cannot blame yourself for something that you had no control over, whether you sent him on that mission or not, he would have eventually died."

"Yes but still..." he really didn't know what to say after that.

"But still what? These kinds of things are out of our control Yagura," Raiura paused for a moment before continuing, "Look, I'm not saying get over it at an unhumanly rate, just don't let this take away your sleep more than needed. I'm sure Eisaku wouldn't want you to dwell on this for too long, he would want you to continue living."

"Alright," he simply wrote.

"I have to put Ryūsei to bed, I'll speak to you another time, bye Yagura-kun, please don't beat yourself up for this. If not for yourself then for me," she wrote.

"Okay, goodbye for now Chīsana Taiyō," Yagura wrote. He rolled up the scroll, feeling little better after what Raiura had told him. She always had a way of making him feel better when he was down.

Sakura was lying down in her bed, she felt empty, it was like she had finally met her soulmate and he was suddenly taken from her. She remembered a memory that she and Eisaku had shared with her and she knew he was the one.

Sakura was sitting on the back porch of the bridge builders house think about her training. It was raining so all the water was hitting the small tin roof and falling down it till if started to fall again to the ground. She wondered, if she had started this before hand that she wouldn't have been such a burden on her team. Her thoughts stopped when she heard footsteps coming towards he from behind, she turned around to she the Kiri genin, Eisaku, her new crush, coming forwards and sittin down next to her. He was a quite a bit taller than her so it was like he loomed over her.

He was looking forward but he started talking so she assumed it was to her, "How have you been Sakura-san, you seem to be thinking of something, wanna talk about it?"

Sakura nodded, "Yeah," she looked in the same direction he was looking in and started speaking, "I wish I could have taken my training more seriously before this."

Eisaku turned his head to her, "You're a fangirl huh..."

"Was..." Sakura answered, "I realized... that..." she sighed, "That he really didn't care for my well-being."

"So your done with him?" Eisaku finished.

Sakura looked at him, "Yeah," she smiled.

Eisaku smiled at her, already knowing her new secret, but didn't say anything, "I have a liking to this one girl too, I met her recently, after this mission I'm hoping to see her again."

Sakura's heart sunk but she kept her smile on, "I bet she's nice."

Eisaku grinned, "She is, kind and sweet when she wants to be and she got plenty of spunk, she pretty strong to considering that she's a civilian born like me."

Sakura didn't really knnow what to say to that, "Wow, she really sounds wonderful."

"She is," Eisaku was getting up but in the process she whispered in her ear, "She's you..." then he walked back inside. Sakura sat there stuned for a while before a blush crept up her face. Inner Sakura was cheering and squealing.

Tears began to come out of Sakura's eyes again as she remembered how wonderful somebody that loved her back was. She rolled over to place her face in her pillow, then screamed and cried into it so no one would hear it.

Mebuki and Kazuki were standing outside their daughter's room. Their fists were clunched and they were angry at what had happened to their daughter, which they had no look of what happened since they forgot to ask. Kazuki walked and sat at the dinning table while Mebuki went into the kitchen.

"I'm going to go to the Uzumaki compound tomorrow to ask Sakura's teammate," Mebuki herself really didn't like the blond Uzumaki since she took almost all the funding from the village, but it really shoulfn't have been the council's in the first place and now the taxes had gone up so that they could repay Raiura, "What happened."

"What!? Visiting the demon?! Are you crazy!" Kazuki shouted, only looud enough so their daughters wouldn't hear.

"You and I both know very well that she isn't a demon, now shut up," Mebuki screeched at her husband with an angry look, making the man shrunk back into his seat.

The day after, Raiura was getting ready to head to the Uchiha compound, just to spend some time with her Papa before head to the Hokage's office since the Sandaime had called her in for something. She heard the bell to the giants of the compound being rung and decided to head out and see who was there.

Raiura was dressed in a light grey short shirt with a full sleeve black jacket, she wore dark blue fingerless gloves with metal plates. She had yet to tie her hair up in a pony tail so it kind of did look like a hedgehog in her opinion, it spiking up before flowing down straight, some of the locks of hair sticking out. One the back of the jacket was the Uzumaki swirl; she wore black pants that were bandaged at the end and dark blue shinobi sandals.

She decided to tie her hair up in a ponytail, she really didn't like how her hair was when it was down and their were only a few people that ever saw how it really looked -The Sandaime, Shisui, and Kakashi. She tied in up into a high pony with a blue rubber band. As the giant gates came into sight, she saw a certain dirty blonde, it was Sakura's mother. This made Raiura curious, this woman never really like her so why was she even here.

"Haruno-san," Raiura greeted as she allowed her inside, "Why are you here at my compound? If you wouldn't mind answering."

'Of course I would mind answering you brat,' Mebuki thought, "Would you mind telling me what happened on your mission?"

Raiura shook her head, "Of course not, it did not affect me as much as it might have been for others," the sunny haired blonde began to guide the woman to and into her home. Mebuki sat down on one of the couches as Raiura brought some tea.

Mebuki took a sip and purked up at this, it was good, "Were did you get this tea from, it is quite good?"

Raiura smiled kindly, "It's home made, I made it out of some different types of leaves from plants and petals of flowers. Anyways, back to your question, you wanted to know what had happened during the mission based on what I know?"

Mebuki nodded, "Yes, I know my daughter has to go to therapy but the Hokage nor your sensei has told me anything of what had happened, and Sakura has said nothing."

Raiura nodded and began to speak, leaving out the fact that Sakura wanted training from her, the cerulean eyed Uzumaki was sure that Sakura's mother wouldn't be happy if she caught wind of it. Mebuki gasped at the part where Raiura had said Eisaku was killed and how Sakura and him were in love with each other. Her baby had found some one she had loved, then he was taken from.

"I think the only good think that Sakura truly got out of this was that she started to up her training. Haruno-san, if you want her to get out of this, in my opinion, you should tell her to train harder, so that this will never happen to anyone she loves. That might get her out of this," advised Raiura, "I have to get going to the Uchiha district to drop Ryūsei off while I got to the Hokage's office, let me escort you out as we leave, Ryūsei!" Raiura yelled, "COME ON, WE HAVE TO GET GOING!"

The red head came running down the stairs with a backpack strapped on his back, "Hai Kā-san, I'm ready."

Raiura smiled, she walked Mebuki out with Ryūsei and the two bid good bye as Raiura locked the gates. She and Ryūsei walked into the empty compound of what was once the thriving Uchiha clan. She walked to the house with was in the center, the clan heads home, and the place where Sasuke and Shisui lived since Shisui was the clan head of the Uchiha since he was the oldest remaining loyal member.

Raiura knocked on the door and Sasuke opened it, he was use to her coming and going without talking to him, but ever since they chosen to be on the same team, she had made small talk between them. She currently seemed to be in a big hurry.

"Hey Sasuke, can't stay and talk today, the Hokage called me for something so I'm just leaving Ryūsei here for Shisui to take care of him," Raiura explained quickly, "Thanks! Bye!" she quickly shunshined away in a torrent of swirling water.

"O-kay," Sasuke said, confused, then brought Ryūsei inside the house.

"You called for me Hokage-jiji," Raiura said as she walked in.

The Hokage stood up and walked over to Raiura, handing her 4 scrolls, each sealed with the Hokage's stamp, "Raiura I'm sending you on a long mission, it will take a couple of days, by the time you are back your team should be ready for their next mission."

Raiura nodded, "Hai Hokage-sama, what is the mission?"

"You will do an S-Ranked mission under the disguise of an ANBU, Kitsune, you may introduce yourself or keep the mask on, that is up to you. You wanted to bring peace to the Great 5, well here is your chance," the Hokage said, throwing her a fox mask and a another, black, scroll that had ANBU gear in it, "Get changed, your going to have to leave now if you want to come back in time, I will let Shisui-san know and tell Ryūsei."

"One thing before I leave? May I let them stay at the compound? I'll put them closer to the forest and have some of my animals surround the area. It will be heavily guarded. I know your nervous because of what happened with Hinata when she was younger, but I think it is time to put grudges aside," said Raiura.

Hiruzen's jaw dropped at the wiseness of his surrogate granddaughter's wiseness and thought on it for a moment. Then he nodded to her in agreement, it was going to be a headache but he was going to use the exact words against the council that Raiura had used against him.

Raiura nodded back and bowed to her Hokage, after leaving the room, she sealed the first 4 scrolls in to sealing scroll and walked into one of the bathrooms that was in the tower. She quickly changed into the attire and placed the mask on her face, she let down her hair, she wasn't going to let anyone see her face in the first place so she didn't think it would be that big of a deal. She hair fell down her back and her red and blonde bangs framed her masked face.

She ran quickly through the village and out the gates without anyone seeing her, expect for Izumo and Kotetsu; she had to sign out so she did it quietly while biding them goodbye. She head north east first, figuring it would be best to deal with Kumo and Iwa since they were Konoha's biggest enemies.

-Kumogakure no Sato-

Yugito felt it. A jinchūriki was coming to her village, and fast. Who would send their jinchūriki to attack Kumo, the most heavily militarized shinobi village. But the thing that worried her the most was that this jinchūriki felt more powerful that B.

"Do not worry Kitten, this one doesn't mean you any harm," said the Nibi.

'How are you so confident about that Tabi? What if it is here to do serious harm? I have to let the Raikage know,' Yugito told her bijū. Matabi just shrugged and went into the back of the seal for a cat nap. Yugito ran up the steep hill that led to the Raikage tower, when streak of sunny yellow ran to through the roofs and straight to the tower. She recognized that shade anywhere, she may have been young, but the Sandaime Raikage only looked at her as a weapon and sent her out to battle early on.

"The Yellow Flash," Yugito whispered. The flash stopped at the tower and Yugito ran faster. When she reached the top she saw whoever it was enter the tower, Yugito quickly went inside and saw that the person them walking up the stairs and that lead to the Raikage's office, Mabui, the assistant to the Raikage, looked pale.

"Mabui what happened?" asked Yugito, worried about what she hoped wasn't true.

"I thought he had died, but he some how came back as female," Mabui said, still in shock. That was Yugito need to charge into the room.

Raiura calmly knocked on the of the Raikage's office, not really caring for the fact that his secretary was paling as she looked at her. She was well aware of the fact that a fellow jinchūriki was doing but she had a job to do and she wanted to get back home to her son as quickly as possible. After she heard the words 'come in' she opened the door and saw the Raikage freeze, she gently closed the door and looked the big man carefully.

On the way here, she had henged herself into her adult version, but she really didn't want the a man that was probably as old, if not older, than her father, to drool over her.

"Raikage-dono," she greeted in a melodic voice. Kami, even her voice sounded older and more mature.

That did seem to snap the Yondaime Raikage out of his stupor, "ANBU-san?" he guessed.

"Hai, I have come with-" she was cut off when the door suddenly opened and Yugito came through.

"Raikage-sama, that one is a jinchūriki, with a bijū that is much stronger that B's," Yugito alerted the Raikage.

"Raikage-dono I'm here for a diplomatic reason, if you could please get a grip on your shinobi, jinchūriki or not, that would make this go much faster, I have other places to be," said Raiura.

Ai looked to Yugito then back to Raiura, "Unfortunately I can't do anything Yugito, ANBU-san here is claiming diplomatic immunity."

Yugito was pissed now, the Raikage couldn't do anything about the fact the a jinchūriki just walked in here and could destroy the place.

"Raikage-dono if I may finish?" the masked blonde interrupted.

Raikage looked back to the masked blonde, "Of course ANBU-san."

"Kitsune, and the reason I'm here is for the Chūnin exam, you give me the team names in scroll and I will take it back to the Hokage, also know that you will be staying the compound of the Uzumaki clan, the current heir is willing to grudges aside," she said as she placed a scroll on the desk, a BOLT member -the name of the ANBU in Kumo- came out of the shadows and inspected the scroll before handing it to the Raikage. Ai opened the scroll and placed it on his desk, he read of the contents carefully before rolling it back up and looking to Raiura.

"Kitsune-san, would you be willing to wait for a day or two just for me to get the jōnin to ask their genin?" asked the Raikage, he was a little shocked that another clan of Konoha would trust Kumo after what happened all those years ago. He was going to send a team that will defiently pass.

Kitsune nodded, "Hai, I would be willing to do that Raikage-dono," she gave a small bow.

"BOLT," said Ai and one of the masked shinobi came down from the ceiling, "Take Kitsune-san here to the Thunder Hotel and get her a suite."

The shinobi nodded and walked out of the room with the Kitsune in tail. When the door shut, the Raikage gave Yugito a furious look.

"Yugito!" he shouted.

"I thought she was going to attack the village," Yugito counter.

"Then the whole village would have been after her, and she wouldn't have been able to get in in the first place," Ai said.

"I'm sorry, I was only looking out for the village," said Yugito.

Ai nodded, "That's alright, now I have to decide who will be my guard for this."

"It could always be B and me, as well as."

(Eventually the Raikage finished and Raiura left the village with no additional problems, mostly)

-Iwagakure no Sato-

Raiura traversed through the mountain ranges of Iwa, her henge had been changed during sometime and she changed to a slightly different mask. She was halfway through her second day of travel when she was stopped by a patrol from the Stone, they became extremely wary of Raiura in her Kitsune mask. After a tense exchange and showing the scroll with the Hokage's seal, the Iwa patrol escorted Raiura through Iwa and into the Tsuchikage's waiting room. After 20 minutes or so, she was called in to the Tsuchikage's office. Ohonoki haf heard of this masked Kitsune ANBU from rumors In Kaminari no Kuni, he had noticed how the mask was different that the majority of the desciptions but let it go, it was a rumor so it wasn't always true. He was surprise to the see a 5ft 5inch tall girl in the mask, she was supposed to be looking like an adult she looked like she was genin.

"Good morning, Tsuchikage-dono, I'm Kitsune, I have been tasked with bringing you a scroll for the chūnin exams. May I have permission to take the scrolls out," said a girlish voice in a formal tone. The Tsuchikage heitated for a moment. Why would Hiruzen send an ANBU to deliever chūnin exam forms? First of all, why would Iwa come to Konoha after the previous war?

"Why did Hiruzen send you even though we are still enemies?" asked Ohnoki.

Raiura shrugged, "Perhaps it is time for grudges to be laid aside Tsuchikage-dono, do you wish to move forward? Because it seems the Hokage wishes too."

"Alright kid," said the Tsuchikage, "Give the scroll will you, I'm trusting you so don't screw this up."

"The Uzumaki clan heir of Konoha as also volnteered to host the Kage in their compound, she is willing to put grudges aside for new peace, and in her words, not a stand still of sorts," said Raiura.

The elderly man looked up in surprise, "What? I thought they had all died when we wiped them out."

Raiura remained calm even though the comment made her blood boil, "Please refrain from saying any rude comments, that woman some how know when someone says something bad about her and it's astonishingly scary."

Ohnoki shivered at that, women, no matter what age, always new everything, "Of course, I apologize. Would you give me a day or two to let my jōnin sensei know and see who is coming?"

Raiura nodded, "Of course Tsuchikage-dono."

-Sunagakure no Sato (No, I have been inspired to not have Orochimaru take over Suna)-

Raiura decided that her next stop should be Suna, they were the allies of Konoha and she wanted to go to Kiri last, she wasn't going to tell Yagura that it was her since she wanted to surprise him when he came to Konoha. She changed her henge to have cerulean blue hair and yellow eyes, basically swapping her eye color with her hair color. She walked up to the gate guards and explained why she was hear, before being escorted to the Kazekage, Rasa.

"Kazekage-dono," greeted Raiura, "I am Kitsune, and I'm here with scroll for the chūnin exams from the Hokage," she placed the scroll on the table and a DUNE -the ANBU for Suna- came down and looked over the scroll for traps before handing it to the Kazekage and disappearing, "Another thing I would like you to know is that the Uzumaki clan heir has agreed to let the Kage stay in her compound, please do not abuse her trust like Kumo had."

Rasa nodded before handing back the scroll with another, we have been discussing about the chūnin exams here and have decided that we will only be sending my children to the exams, as a singular team."

Raiura bowed, "Of course Kazekage-dono," she bowed, "Until next time," the she disapppeared in a shunshin.

'Well that was quickly,' thought Raiura in the desert outside the walls of Suna, then she headed of in the direction of Kiri, 'Oh this is so fun...'

-Kirigakure no Sato-

As Raiura flashed to the island at the seal that Yagura had placed outside the gate, near a tree. It had taken her months but she had finally mastered her father's Hiraishin. And she never wanted to go through that process ever again. Never. Ever. Ever. Again. She checked in with the gate guards and was taken directly to the Mizukage.

Entering the office, she nearly froze when she saw him. Her best friend had become very handsome. His hair was done in a way that was just made for him, and the stiched scar on the left. Oh god, she never thought that she could be attracted to her Tātoru-san. She could feel her cheeks heating up and she thanked kami that she had a mask on.

Look, she may be a bit emotionally stunted, but she wasn't the Nidaime Hokage, who was clueless when it came to emotions.

"Mizukage-dono," she greeted, "My name is Kitsune."

Yagura chuckled, it was so deep, oh yeah, Raiura had defiently fallen for him, "Greetings Kitsune-san, what has the Hokage sent you for?"

Raiura bowed, "Mizukage-dono, I-I have come here today for the chūnin exams," she placed the scroll on the desk, "You are to give your answer to me as soon as possible. Also, the current Uzumaki clan heir has invited all the Kage to stay at her estate along with their teams during the 3rd part of the exam."

Yagura nodded with a small smile, "Thank for letting me know, just give me a day or two I'll get back to you."

Raiura returned back to Konoha 4 days later. In total, she had been gone for almost a month, she couldn't wait to get home. She wondered if this was how the ANBU felt everytime they left for months long missions. She entered into the ANBU HQ and changed back into her regular clothing, already been washed by the ANBU staff. She them back the standard uniform and went start back home.

She looked up and noticed how dark the sky was, the sun had already began to set. She walked into her house and Ryūsei ran up and hugged her, then began babbling about his day. Shisui was sitting at the dinning table reading a book, he looked up and smiled at Raiura, he had began to look pretty old now and it was evident that he was entering his early thirties.

She hugged Shisui, "Papa," Raiura whispers as she snuggled into his chest.

Shisui smiled down at his daughter and ruffled her spiky hair, "Musume, who are you?"

"I'm good Papa," she yawned as she back away from the hug, "I'm going to go take a nap for now."

Shisui nodded, then looked to Ryūsei, who was practing his caligraphy, "I'll watch Ryūsei, you seem pretty tired."

Raiura nodded, she walked up the stairs in the big room, before they were out of sight, she looked back to them and smiled softly.
