Chapter 14

Takigakure

Or

The Nanabi's Jinchūriki

Taki. It was beautiful that was for sure, after going through the confusing cave maze. The village leader had asked her and Sasuke to help him find his cousin. Raiura had brought Mikoto and Taka with her. She was standing in front of a tall tree house, it was really beautiful, and looked hand made. Then she saw a mint green haired girl FLY out of the tree using the green wings. She raised an eyebrow as the girl landed in front of her.

"What do you want?" the girl asked, she looked at least a year younger than Raiura.

Raiura could feel that they were similar, "We are similar in a way."

"She the jinchūriki of the Nanabi, my sister, Chōmei," Kurama clarified.

Raiura hummed, 'That makes sense...' then she snapped back to reality when she could hear the mint haired girl calling her.

"Hey you, can you hear? Are trying to play a game?" she called out.

"You're like me, cursed with a burden that we have never wanted," Raiura said, crossing her arms over her chest.

The girl's eyes widened, "Y-you like Fū," she pointed to herself.

Raiura tilted her head and gave a small smile, "Fū? That's your name?"

Fū nodded, "Yep!."

"It's a beautiful name Fu-san," Raiura gave a closed eye smile.

"What's your name?" Fū inquired.

"My name is Raiura, Uzumaki Raiura," Raiura answered.

"Hey Raiura, does this mean you and Fū are friends now?" Fū asked excitedly.

Raiura grinned, "Definitely, we're jinchūriki, which means were family."

Fū's eyes sparkled in happiness, she jumped and hugged Raiura, who twirled to maintain balance while hugging Fu back.

That's when Sasuke arrived.

"Hey Raiura-" Sasuke stopped when he saw Raiura hugging a strange mint haired girl.

Raiura blinked when she saw Sasuke and gently realized Fū, "Sasuke, is there something wrong."

Sasuke snapped out of his trance and nodded, "Yeah, I was looking to see if you wanted go find some lunch."

Raiura nodded, "Oh Sasuke, this is Fū; Fū this is Sasuke, my teammate."

Fū smiled, "Hi I'm Fū," she waved her hand.

"Sasuke," he replied cautiously.

"She's like me Sasuke," Raiura said, and Sasuke's eyes widened, along with Fū's.

"Why did you tell him that?" Fū asked.

Sasuke raised an eyebrow, "So you're and jinchūriki... it just means you have a bijū sealed inside you and you can use its chakra, nothing else." Fu eyes widened and she looked to Raiura, who nodded.

"Why don't we go eat lunch, how old are you Fū?" Raiura asked

"Fū is 11, but she'll be 12 in 2 months though," Fū grinned.

"That means your my Imōto," Raiura said.

"Mine too... Raiura's basically my sister..." Sasuke said, "Though she'd probably punch me if I called her Imōto," he muttered. Raiura caught the comment and twitched slightly but refrained from responding. After her last mission, she had begun to show more of her mother's temper.

That caused Fū to look up at them in shock, a few tears escaped her vivid orange eyes. Fū started to laugh and Raiura flashed Sasuke a big grin; but before she could do anything, Fū tackled Sasuke and Raiura in a hug, laughing and crying at the same time.

Though as she did that, they fell off the cliff where Fū's home was off, they lost their balance and went falling, which caused Fū to scream...

Raiura grabbed them both as fast as she could and her chakra chains shot from her back, digging into the stone to stop the fall. She grunted in silently pain and gently wrapped a chain around Fū and Sasuke. Slowly, the chains lowered them to the ground and then Raiura retracked them into his back with a sigh.

Fū laughed again and the happiness and relief radiating from her could have lit up the entirety of Konoha. They laughed with her, the good mood contagious. Another of them, the people stopped, staring in shock, but Raiura was way to use to stares and whispers to care.

"Do you know and go places to eat, Imōto?" Raiura asked, "I could eat an entire ox."

Fū snorted and stood up, offering her hands to help them up. They both took it and stood carefully, "Sure Onē-san," she grinned.

Sakura hadn't come with them on their mission, her parents were still too worried about her, and she still wasn't the best; but hopefully she would be better by the time the Chūnin Exams came around.

Shibuki couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy. He had yet to see Fū today and the Nanabi Festival was nearing. Fū hated the festival, because it made her feel even more secluded, more an outcast in the village and Shibuki could do nothing. He had tried making his little cousin feel loved and safe, but he could only do so much – Fū would need friends, but no one in Taki was willing to be her friend, they feared and hated the Nanabi too much for that.

The Konoha ninja observed his distress and volunteered to help find his missing cousin. He was too anxious about Fū to be concerned about whether the two genin would discover that his lively cousin was a jinchūriki. He would deal with that later, once Fū was located. So, he described Fū to the Uzumaki and Uchiha and they went out into the village, looking for her. Kakashi attempted to ask a nearby villager for information, but the woman rudely brushed him off, prompting Shibuki to flinch.

"Fū is not exactly well-liked in the village, Kakashi-san," Shibuki said carefully, "It's best if you don't even speak her name."

The Copy-nin's visible eyes turned thoughtful for a moment, but he didn't say anything. The lively crowd parted for them as they passed and Shibuki's worry grew even more. And then he heard a cry and looked upward, to see Fū falling from the cliff ahead of them, along with the two Konoha genin, who made up the other half of his escort. Before he could freak out that his cousin would get hurt or show off her wings, thick golden chain materialized from the blonde's back, shooting upward and digging into the cliff face, halting their fall. She wrapped another chain around Fū and one around her teammate before lowering them to the ground. As they landed, Shibuki released the breath he'd be holding.

Then, to his shock, Fū started to laugh -a free, joyful sound, the kind he heard so rarely from her. She had an upbeat, curious personality, but hearing her laugh like this was so rare... and then the boys joined in with her, obviously sharing her good mood and Shibuki's first thought was, that Fū had finally found friends. The crowd froze, staring at his sweet cousin with wide eyes and Shibuki almost snapped at them, that Fū was like any other person, but the unexpected voice of the blonde stopped him.

"Do you know and go places to eat, Imōto? I could eat an entire ox."

Shibuki blinked in shock. Did... did a foreigner just call his cousin their little sister?

Fū snorted and offered her hands to the genin, "Sure Onē-san."

Shibuki's jaw dropped. And Fū was returning the favor, in call the two her siblings. What was going on her?

"Raiura? Sasuke?" Kakashi-san spoke, and even Shibuki could hear the rest of his unasked question.

"She's..." Sasuke made a gesture, "You know. She's like Raiura."

Kakashi-san raised his lone eyebrow, "And?"

The blonde snorted, "I hardly ever get to meet someone like me Sensei, you can see the way the village treats her, their attitude stinks up the village."

Shibuki's blood went cold at that, the blonde was a jinchūriki too. There was a foreign jinchūriki in the village, she didn't seem harmful though. Maybe she and Fū could really be friends.

"Come on you two, I want to take you to my favorite stall!" Fū shouted.

Blonde girl hummed and grabbed the dark haired by the collar, "Lead the way then, Imōto."

As Fū left with the two genin, Shibuki could do nothing but stare. Once they were gone, Shibuki looked at the Jōnin next to him.

Kakashi shrugged, "It's not every day Raiura meets another Jinchūriki like her."

Shibuki almost fainted at that, they knew what Fū was.

Deep with a hidden part of Raiura's mindscape. Kurama was growling at 3 other creatures. The Sanbi, Isobu, the Rokubu, Saikin, and the Nanabi, Chōmei.

"How did you get in here?" Kurama growled.

"I don't know Kurama... I think I can come and go from this seal whenever I want..." Chōmei said.

"Do you think she is the one from father's prophecy?" asked Isobu.

Kurama snorted, "I don't think, I know..."

"Then we can conclude that because she is the chosen child and she has one of us sealed inside of her that we can come and go as we please..." Isobu said.

In Akuryō...

In a vast, open expanse dotted with volcanic rocks and charred earth, Kagami and Izuna were sparing.

As they circled each other, Izuna launched a swift attack, his black flames spiraling towards Kagami like a ravenous beast. The younger dragon evaded with a roll mid-air, narrowly escaping the scorching fire that singed the ground where he had just been hovering. In response, Kagami unleashed his blue flames, sending a wave of fiery energy that danced and crackled as it approached Izuna. The older dragon smirked, impressed by his son's quick reflexes. He countered by flicking one of his tails, redirecting the black fire towards the blue flames, a move that resulted in a spectacular explosion of color as the two flames collided. Wisps of black and blue smoke curled into the air, creating a mesmerizing display that showcased their powers as they sparred playfully rather than with intent to harm.

"You'll need to be quicker than that if you want to catch me off guard!" Kagami challenged, his spirits high as he darted beneath Izuna's wide wingspan, aiming for his father's underbelly. Izuna roared with laughter, his voice booming.

"You may be fast, but remember, speed is nothing without control! Keep your form steady!" He lunged forward, seeking to test Kagami's agility as he unleashed several jets of black fire from the tips of his tails. Kagami barely managed to twist and weave through the barrage, feeling the heat of the flames brush against his scales. He thrust himself upward, flapping his wings with determination, and retaliated with a concentrated blast of his blue fire aimed directly at Izuna's face. With a deft movement, Izuna closed his eyes just in time, the blue fire scorching past him.

"Not bad, but don't get cocky!" he advised, flapping his massive wings to create a gust of wind that momentarily threw off Kagami's balance.

The spar between Izuna and Kagami escalated as they each sought to outmaneuver the other in a dazzling display of fire and agility. With the initial excitement fueling their spirits, each dragon set the terrain ablaze with their unique flames.

Izuna, confident in his size and might, charged forward, his fourteen tails curling and swishing behind him, trailing flickers of black fire like a dark comet. He executed a sweeping tail strike aimed at Kagami, who was quick on his feet but not without hesitation.

"Come on, Kagami! Show me what you've got!" Izuna bellowed, his eyes filled with fatherly encouragement and competitive spirit.

With a powerful thrust of his wings, Kagami leaped into the air, narrowly avoiding the strike. "I won't go easy on you, Otō-san!" he shouted back, his voice laced with determination. With a flick of his tail, he unleashed a wave of swirling blue fire, which surged toward Izuna, leaving shimmering sparks in its wake.

Izuna countered, summoning a wall of black fire that clashed against the blue flames, resulting in a plume of smoke that filled the air around them. The two dragons circled, carefully observing each other, each waiting for the right moment to strike.

Sensing his father's momentary distraction, Kagami dove low, spiraling gracefully to the right before launching himself upward, preparing to unleash his most potent attack. He took a deep breath, channeling all his energy into a conflagrant blast of blue fire, more intense and focused than before. The vibrant flames burst forth like a dragon's roar, illuminating the landscape around them.

Izuna's eyes widened with pride and surprise as he witnessed Kagami's growth. "Impressive! But can you handle this?" he roared in return, invoking his own black fire to meet the oncoming wave. The two streams of fire collided in a blaze of color, creating a beautiful yet terrifying spectacle that lit up the evening sky.

Kagami felt the heat radiating from the explosion, but instead of retreating, he used the momentum from the blast to glide above the chaos, planning his next move. "I can do this!" he encouraged himself, quickly scanning for weaknesses in Izuna's defensive stance.

Izuna, momentarily overwhelmed by the intensity of the blue flames, began to regroup. He swirled around, using his maelstrom of tails to fan the flames and clear the smoke, revealing his foe above. "Let's see if you can outsmart an old dragon!" he challenged with a grin, bracing himself for Kagami's next strike.

Seizing the moment, Kagami swooped down, using his streamlined tail and agility to dart around Izuna, aiming for the space between his massive wings. He banked sharply, creating a gust of wind that propelled him upward again, drawing on every bit of his youthful energy.

As he flew high above, Kagami unleashed another series of smaller yet rapid bursts of blue fire, showering down upon Izuna. Each blast was expertly aimed, not intending to harm but to test his father's reflexes and fight for dominance.

Izuna laughed heartily as he danced beneath the raining flames, using his tails to shield himself and bat them away. "Not bad at all! But how about this!" With a powerful twist, he unleashed a tornado of black fire from his tails, arcing above him and creating a barrier that extinguished Kagami's smaller flames.

The two dragons weaved and spiraled through the air, caught in a dance of fire and instinct. With each passing moment, they grew more exhilarated, not just as fighter and opponent but as father and son, united by their shared lineage and love for the flame.

As the spar continued between the two fiery dragons, the atmosphere crackled with tension and excitement. Izuna, feeling the rush of adrenaline, decided it was time to shift the pace. He let out a thunderous roar and summoned all fourteen of his fiery tails, igniting them with black fire that danced ominously in the air.

"Kagami, prepare yourself!" Izuna yelled, his voice booming as he launched a barrage of black fireballs toward his son. Each one shot forth like a cannonball, aimed with precision to test Kagami's reflexes.

Kagami twisted and dodged, his agility shining as he darted between the projectiles, returning a quick blast of blue flame to counteract his father's onslaught. The blue fire exploded against the black flames, creating a shower of sparks that illuminated the twilight sky.

"You'll have to do better than that!" Kagami shouted, his confidence growing with each evasive maneuver. "I'm not that easy to catch!"

Seizing his moment, Izuna unleashed one of his larger fireballs, timing it just right as he anticipated Kagami's next move. The young dragon, thinking he saw an opening, dove low to gain speed. But he hadn't noticed the bigger black fireball arcing toward him until it was too late.

With a sharp intake of breath, Kagami attempted to evade, but the impact was inevitable. The black fireball collided with him, sending him spiraling through the air. He slammed into the ground, creating a small crater, and briefly losing his breath.

"Don't let that shake you!" he heard Izuna shout as the older dragon descended, his fiery tails igniting the surrounding ground. The imposing shadow of his father loomed over him, yet Kagami wasn't done fighting.

Pushing himself up, Kagami shook off the impact, a determined glint in his blue eyes. He focused his energy and launched himself upwards, channeling all his strength. This time, he aimed to unleash a concentrated burst of blue fire, a technique he had been practicing in secret.

"I'll show you my new move!" Kagami called out, gathering energy as he flew into the air. His flames swirled around him like a vortex, taking shape as he transformed them into a massive fireball. "Take this!"

Izuna, impressed yet vigilant, prepared himself. He braced for the oncoming attack. "Impressive effort! But it's not enough!" With a powerful flap of his wings, he unleashed his own black fire in a counterattack.

The two fireballs collided mid-air, the explosion erupting in a brilliant array of colors—black and blue flames clashed, creating a skylight of fiery brilliance. Kagami pushed himself harder, struggling to maintain his flames against the overwhelming force.

But Izuna had the advantage of experience. As the fireball began to wane, he added fuel to the fire from his tails, bolstering his attack. Slowly but surely, the black flames began to consume Kagami's blue fire, inch by inch.

With a final, titanic explosion, Izuna's black fire enveloped the blue flames completely, surging forward with a force that sent Kagami spiraling backward. His son landed heavily on the ground, the impact knocking the breath from him once again. Kagami lay on the ground, panting as he looked up at his father, who stood tall and majestic, black fire still flickering around him. Izuna exhaled, the battle heat dissipating into the cooling air.

"Not bad, Kagami," he said, his voice softer now, filled with pride. "You've improved greatly, but remember, even the strongest fire needs to temper its flame. Keep training, and one day you'll surpass me."

Kagami nodded, determination back in his eyes even as he caught his breath. "I'll be ready next time!" he promised, a smile forming as he slowly rose to his feet. Izuna chuckled, laughter rumbling through him like the sound of rolling thunder.
